A/N: Hey guys! I apologize for the late update! My laptop had a serious virus that nearly wiped out its entire system- I couldn't get on it for days! I had part of this chapter written, but it got deleted after I installed a new virus protection system into my hard drive. But all that matters is that I am back now, and have the next installment of Oblivious finished! Just a heads up, this chapter may be a bit more boring than usual. But I promise the next one will be more action packed and exciting! This chapter is just leading up to the next future chapters. With that said, don't be surprised if I take a while to update again; I intend on making the next chapter super long!

Also, a reader suggested something to me awhile back a wonderful idea I should incorporate in this story. I liked it a lot, but just couldn't fit it in until now. I forget who this reader was, but I am sure they will know who they are after reading this next chapter!

And now, without further ado, I present to you, the 37th chapter of Oblivious! I hope you enjoy it! PLEASE REVIEW WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED!

I DO NOT OWN HOUSE OF ANUBIS. IF I DID, IT WOULD PROBABLY GIVE MY LAPTOP ANOTHER VIRUS.

(Olivia's P.O.V.)

I can't get that dream out of my head.

It all seemed so real…I felt like I was actually talking to Nina and Eddie; it felt like they were still here.

There were times when Eddie could be harsh, but he doesn't have it in him to kill someone. Did he even kill someone?

He's not a murderer. I only dreamt that it was him and Nina who killed Winkler because I was so astonished by what Krista and Trish discovered about him.

It was just a dream.

But the first part…what was that about? Everything they said was so detailed…could that have been what they were really trying to do? Was it during their trek to Canada when they were murdered?

The last part is giving me the most chills; Eddie telling me to help him. Did I dream that because I've been thinking about him and his disappearance so much? It must be.

Because Eddie is dead.

So is Nina.

There is no way either have them could tell me or give me clues as to what happened to them. It's foolish to think otherwise.

But I am foolish.

Maybe they managed to send me a message from the great beyond? Or maybe I know deep down inside what happened to them, and my brain is trying to tell me the details?

I have to find out more. I have to think harder, and take their case more seriously.

"Olivia?"

I jolt in my chair, facing Willow. I tossed and turned all night after my nightmare; I'm exhausted.

"You awake?" she asks

I shrug, and take a stab at my pancakes. "I didn't sleep well last night."

She nods, and gives me a knowing look. She knows I've been losing sleep over everything that's happened, so I simply mouth to her "I'll tell you later."

Fabian, Alfie, and Dexter all enter the room at once. They exchange hellos with everyone, and sit in their usual seats.

Fabian grabs a few pancakes, and flops them on his plate. "I had the weirdest dream last night." He says

I look at him curiously. "Really? I had a bizarre one too." I say

Patricia rolls her eyes. "Of course you did…"

Joy smacks her arm, and then fixates her gaze on Fabian. "Anyway…I saw my ex-girlfriend again-"

"Nina?" Alfie interrupts

Fabian nods. "Yeah, Nina. It was weird…" He shakes his head, and starts eating his breakfast.

I try not to show any signs of discomfort. He dreamt of Nina the same night that I dreamt of Eddie? That doesn't seem coincidental...

"What was yours about, Olivia?" Erin asks

Patricia rolls her eyes. How am I going to explain this without blowing my cover?!

"Um…it was about a friend of mine who…died." I murmur

Willow looks at me with terror in her eyes; she gets the memo.

"Oh, uh…that's sad." Erin replies, obviously feeling sorry about asking.

I nod. "Yeah, it was sad."

"How did he die?" Dex asks

"DEX!" Cassie and Joy hiss

He throws his hands up in surrender. "What, I was just wondering?"

I sigh. I have to lie to him, I have to or he'll suspect something.

"No, it's okay. He…um…he was in an accident. He was a lifelong friend and…he got into an accident." I say

Dex nods, and continues eating his food. I shrug and stand up from the table, with my appetite suddenly gone.

(Krista's P.O.V.)

After a long, grueling ten and a half hour drive, Trish and I have arrived in Yreka, California.

It's a different setting than either of us are used to. Yreka is a small, run down town in the middle of the mountains, just minutes away from the California-Oregon border.

There's a big sign in the middle of the town, with Yreka spelled across it. In front of it is a statue of man and a horse. Trish drove the car to the parking lot of a food mart, a spit away from the landmark.

"We're less than five minutes away from Stoneland Park. It's been a while since Winkler was killed and since his body was discovered, there shouldn't be any police at the scene to the crime." Trish says

I nod. "We can walk there, right? If it's so close it would be silly to drive…"

Trish nods. "Yeah, c'mon."

We climb out of the car, locking it and shoving the keys deep into my purse. Trish carries the manila envelope filled with the details of Winkler's case under her right arm. She has a KCI badge clenched in her left fist. We start walking east, which evidently is the direction towards Stoneland Park.

"So…what do we do when we get there?" I question.

Trish shrugs. "As usual, Olivia wasn't specific in telling us what to look for…so maybe we should just investigate the crime scene? Maybe see if there is anything the Yreka Police- or KCI- missed?"

I stare at her in astonishment. KCI is an elite crime solving team- how could they possibly have missed anything?!

I simply nod. "We can do that, I guess."

We walk the rest of the hike in silence. I am relieved when we have finally reached Stoneland Park, and are through its gates.

It is a beautiful park. Mountains gleam in the distance, along with various canyons and streams. Red soil covers the ground, with various scattered rocks and pebbles.

"Wow, this place is gorgeous." I murmur

Trish nods, and pulls out the Manila envelope. "The cadaver report is vague, all it says is that he was found at the bottom of a cliff between two rocks-"

"Um, Trish?"

She looks at me, and I point to endless yards of yellow police tape I just noticed off in the distance. "It may be dumb luck, but I'm thinking we should start looking over there." I say

Trish snorts. "Psh, I saw that."

I pat her shoulder. "Of course you did."

She rolls her eyes at me, and we walk to the yellow tape. My brand new Jimmy Choo flats get splattered in dirt and soil on our way over there. I try to shrug it off, but indeed it bothers me.

The scene is deserted; there are no police officers, KCI investigators…nothing.

Except for the police tape.

And the white tape on the ground between to large rocks, marking the outline of a person.

A body.

Winkler's body.

I shudder. That spot is where Winkler died. Where he fell to his death, from the cliff just above my head.

"It looks like they got everything…except for-"

"The tape." I finish.

We crawl around the ground, our eyes scanning for anything. There are no blood stains, no shards of skin, nothing. This trip was pointless; there is nothing new here for us.

"Um, hello." Someone says

Trish and I whip around, and face a boy standing just yards away. He is tall, and looks like he is about our age. He has long, shaggy, dark hair, piercing green eyes, and a few zits on his forehead. He wears black denim jeans, a white T-Shirt, and a green jacket over. On his feet are black combat boots, and on his arm is an expensive looking watch.

He stares at us in confusion, before throwing his hands up. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. It's just…no one has been taking the Winkler case seriously, and I'm surprised people are actually investigating it. I'm Danny, by the way." He explains, extending his hand out to us.

I stare at Trish nervously. She coughs, and straightens her spine. "Hello, I'm detective Betsy Lois. It's a pleasure to meet you." She says, shaking Danny's hand.

I try not to laugh at the fake name. Betsy Lois? That's the best she could come up with?

She puts her hand on my shoulder. "This is detective Angel Casra. My assistant."

I wave, eagerly playing along. "Hi."

Danny waves. "Hey. So…have you discovered anything new?" he asks

We shake our heads. "Nope. Nothing."

Danny sighs. "Of course not. The cops told me they would notify me if they did…it was stupid of me to ask-"

"Whoa, stop. Why would the cops notify you?" Trish asks, alarmed.

Danny shrugs his shoulders. "My Dad's cabin is nearby, and the top of Old Fredrick, the small canyon to the west of the park. I was staying with him the night of Winkler's murder. During the middle of the night (of his death) I heard a gunshot go off. I'm the one who called the police and told them something bad had happened. They found Winkler, and discovered he had been murdered after that."

I nod. That must have been a traumatic experience for him…

"Do you have any idea who may have done it?" Trish asks

Danny looks nervous, as if we asked him if it was him who killed Winkler. He simply shakes his head.

"No, I have no clue."

The three of us stand in an awkward silence, until Danny leaves. When he is gone, Trish gives me a knowing look.

"He knows something. He has to. Did you see how nervous he got when I asked him if he knew who the murderer was?"

I nod. "Yeah, something about him seemed…off. Like he's trying to cover something up."

I don't know who Danny is, or any other details about the night Winkler was killed (aside from what he told us), but I am getting a strong feeling that he knows more about the murder than he is letting on.

(Patricia's P.O.V.)

KT squeezes my shoulders soothingly, as we stand outside of Sweetie's office.

"You can do this Patricia. I know you can. You've been so strong…I believe in your ability to do this." She says

I nod, not feeling any confidence. I am about to go tell Mr. Sweet, the man who has been my Headmaster for the past several years, who has punished me after my wrongdoings many times, who has been working against Sibuna during all of our mysteries, who doesn't entirely prove of Eddie and I's relationship, that I am pregnant...with his Grandchild.

How on Earth could I not be nervous?!

Suddenly the door swings open, revealing Mr. Sweet. He smiles at me. "Ah, Patricia! Please, Come in." he exclaims.

KT lets go of me and saunters away, but not before she gives me a thumbs up for encouragement. I sigh, and enter the office.

Mr. Sweet shuts the door behind me. He then goes behind his desk and sits down. I sit in one of the chairs on the opposite side of the desk. My leg bounces nervously against the ground, and I keep my sweaty hands folded in my lap. I don't think I can do this…

"So Patricia, Tom told me last night you have something rather important to tell me?"

His eyes are filled with sincerity, and eagerness. What does he think I have to tell him? Does he think it's related to Eddie?

I open my mouth to speak, but can't get any words to spill out. I scratch the back of my head anxiously, and fidget nervously in my seat.

"Patricia? Are you alright?" he asks

I nod. "Y-yeah. It's just…um…"

I don't know what to say. This is the most awkward situation I have ever been in in my life.

"Um, look…you see…"

Tears well in my eyes. I quickly wipe them away, before he can notice.

"Well?"

I look at him, and shrug my shoulders. I knew I wasn't going to be able to tell him, so I brought the ultrasound pictures with me. It was a smart move, if I do say so myself.

I pull the pictures out of my pocket, and slide them across his desk. He lifts his chained glass over his eyes, and examines the photos. When he realizes what they are, his mouth drops into a gaping o, and the pictures slip from his hands.

We sit in an awkward silence. At first, he looks angry, and I think he's going to start yelling at me. Then his demeanor changes, and he looks happy. Blessed, even.

"This…this is you and Eddies, isn't it?" he croaks

I nod, with tears pouring down my face. "Mr. Sweet, I'm so sor-"

"Sorry? How could you possibly be sorry? I'm going to be a Grandfather! I'm thrilled!"

I look at him in surprise. His son and I, and unmarried teenage couple are having a baby and he's thrilled?

"How far along are you?" he asks, blinking away tears of his own.

I stare at him in shock. "Um…about 3 and a half months?"

He nods, then looks down sadly. "Eddie has no clue, does he?"

I nod. "Yeah…that's why I've been so desperate to get a hold of him-"

He slams his hands down on the desk, causing me to jump. "That's ridiculous! I'm not going to let him make the same mistakes I made! I'm going to call his mother right now and demand that I speak with him! You can go now, Patricia. I don't want you to be late for class. We can discuss this further later."

I blink, not knowing what to say. I just nod, and leave the room as quickly as I can.

KT is waiting for me out in the hallway. "Well?" she asks.

I shake my head in disbelief over what just happened. He's thrilled?!

I sigh, and explain everything to KT.

"Thrilled?" she exclaims

I nod. "Yeah, he seemed madder at Eddie than anything."

KT purses her lips. "Hm. Well, maybe he's glad that he'll have a grandkid that he can be with, you know, since he kind of had to abandon Eddie. Maybe it's like…a new start for him."

I didn't think about that. Mr. Sweet has wanted nothing more than to spend more time with Eddie, and make up for all the years he was absent from his life. Maybe my- our son or daughter will be the filling to the gaping hole in their somewhat mended relationship? The very idea makes me smile.

(Olivia's P.O.V.)

Willow, Destiny, and I sit shoulder-to-shoulder on the edge of my bed. Willow is sitting to my left, and Destiny is at my right. On my lap rests my laptop, with Trish and Krista's faces on the screen via skype. They are telling me about their discoveries in Yreka.

"He looked familiar, and said his name was Danny." Krista starts.

I narrow my eyes. Danny? As in, one of Nina's friends?

"Wait." I say. I pull my phone out of my pocket, and scroll through my contacts. I click on Danny's, and flash the picture of him into my laptop camera. "Is this him?" I ask.

Trish and Krista nod fiercely. "Yes!"

Willow looks at me with curiosity. "Who is that guy?" she questions.

I explain how I interviewed Danny about Nina a while back, and how he told me about she always wore her Eye of Horus locket. That is, until he said she wore a pearl bracelet with an "S" engraved on it- the bracelet I found in the woods back at home while on a search with my Dad.

"He seemed really suspicious, Olivia. He seemed nervous…and he left rather abruptly. It was very strange." Krista explains.

I nod. Destiny and I bumped into Danny at a Coffee shop back at home before we left for England- he seemed strange then too…

"Maybe he's just a weird person? Maybe he has a personality disorder?" Willow suggests.

I shake my head. "That's unlikely. He has seemed fine every time I have talked to him."

Destiny nods in agreement. I pause. "He sounds like he is worth checking out again. Hunt him down, and tell him you know me. Then, tell me what he says."

The girls nod. "Have you discovered anything new about Patricia, yet? Like Cody suggested?" Trish asks

"Or Victor?" Krista adds

I shake my head. I've been slacking- I haven't learned anything new yet about Eddie or Nina, let alone who may have killed them.

"I'm going to start digging deeper. Maybe Destiny and I can go through the Frobisher Library, or something." I say.

"Okay. Sounds like a plan!" Krista chimes.

"Yeah, and try not to have any more bizarre dreams tonight, Via. Alright?" Trish adds.

I nod. We all exchange goodbyes, and then I end the call.

"I just thought of something I hadn't thought of before." Willow suddenly blurts out.

Destiny and I look at her curiously. "And what might that be?" I question.

"Well…it's a long shot, but…I have a Ouija board…and I was thinking maybe we could try to contact Eddie and Nina. You know, ask them if they gave you that dream, who killed them..."

I snort. "Willow, no. That won't work. Ghosts don't exist."

Destiny presses her lips into a tight line. "It might. Why don't we try it?"

I laugh at both of them. "Well, you guys can try it. But don't come crying to me when you don't find anything." I say as I stand up.

"Where are you going?" Destiny asks.

I shrug. "I'm going to get food. I'll be back."

I walk out of the room, shutting the door behind me. A Ouija board? Really? As if we could ever learn anything from that! My cousin is so weird sometimes…

(Fabian's P.O.V.)

The dream has been racing through my mind all day.

I thought I was over Nina, but I guess I am not.

"Help Me."

"Fabian, Help me!"

She had said them both over and over again. She showed me a desert, a big city, and then Anubis House. She also said at one point that she is in danger, and she needs my help.

What danger could she possibly be in? She stayed away so everyone would be safe, how could anyone, let alone her, be in danger?

It was just a dream. A peculiar dream…or was it?

Most of my Nina or Sibuna related dreams have come true…was this dream signaling the beginning of another mystery?

Is Nina really in danger? She can't be, it's Eddie's job to protect her-"

But Eddie isn't here.

He's in America.

So is Nina.

Is it a freaky coincidence? I think of Nina's chants again. There has to be something going on, something that none of us are aware of.

Whatever it is, I will find out what is going on.
