I don't own TT. Just Lena.
Cheshire: I am really touched that you modeled a game character after Lena!
Skye: Thank you :)
Cyborg's POV
"LEEEENAAAA!" I screamed as my heart moved to the very top of my throat. Why? Why Lena why? Slade finally got his nasty fangs out of Lena, who fell straight backwards. I held out my arms and she fell right into them, her eyes closed and her face pale. Blood was pouring out her wounds and showed no sign of stopping. Her breaths were ragged. Lena…no…please don't do this please…I placed my hand over one of the puncture wounds and my arm over the other one. But blood still flowed regardless of the pressure I was administering.
"Well, looks like Lena is a hero after all. Only heroes sacrifice their lives for someone else," Slade hissed contently.
"SHUT UP!" I shouted angrily.
"She is not going to die!" I heard Starfire shout.
"And you will pay for hurting her!" cried Robin. I looked up and saw the Star and Robin fighting with Slade. While they were occupied, Beast Boy and Raven ran to us.
"Lena? Can you hear me?" asked Raven anxiously when she arrived at Lena's side. Lena's eyelids started to flutter. Come on honey, open your beautiful eyes…Lena's eyes finally opened though they stayed cracked. But they were cracked enough so I could see her beautiful blue eyes.
"Good, can you heal yourself?" asked Raven. Hope started to flare inside me. I totally forgot about that! Once she heals herself, everything will be fine!
"She can't," said BB solemnly.
"What do you mean she can't?! She can heal any injury!" I pointed out frantically, as fear started to put out my flame of hope.
"Yeah. Any injury except her own. She told me herself," BB answered as tears started to fall down from his green eyes. No. No! She's got to live! She's got to!
"AHHH!" Raven cried out in frustration and anger as she left us to help Robin and Starfire fight Slade. That's right…we're in a middle of a fight, how did I forget that? I should help them, but…what about Lena? Then I got an idea that would save Lena and let me help the others defeat Slade.
"BB! Take Lena to the hospital! I stay here and help the others," I ordered. Beast Boy nodded and moved to take Lena out of my arms when she grabbed his wrist.
"No…They need you both…" she whispered.
"It's okay! I come back and help them right after I take you to the hospital!" Beast Boy said in a comfortable tone. Lena shook her head. Why is she shaking her head? Doesn't she realize that if she doesn't get medical attention as soon as possible, she's going to…?
"The doctors can't do anything for me…there's no point…" she whispered. My heart skipped a beat in shock. Can't do anything…no point…in trying to save her?
"No point? No point?! What do you mean there's no point?! You got to live! You just got to!" I yelled frantically and angrily. How can she just accept that she's going to…No! She will not…
"Raven!" cried Beast Boy. I looked up and saw that Slade's fangs had a hold on an unconscious Raven's cloak. Star and Robin were hitting him but their attempts did not affect Slade at all. A new fear suddenly grew inside me. He's going to…! BB looked at me pleadingly. A conflict quickly raged inside me. BB could get Lena to the hospital faster than I could, but his girlfriend needed his help now. His girlfriend…he loves her…just like I love Lena…I…can't let him to go through what I am going through. I nodded my approval. BB immediately turned into a T-rex and bit Slade, which resulted in Slade letting go of his hold on Raven's cloak. Starfire caught Raven, and I could see that Raven was shifting in her arms. I breathed a sigh of relief. Raven's going to be fine, BB saved her, unlike me…I shook my head in denial. No! I am going to save Lena! I will take her to the hospital, and even though I'm not as fast as BB, I will make it in time! I should have headed there as soon as Slade let go of her! Determined not to waste any more time, I stood up with Lena in the bridal position.
"Cyborg…don't..." Lena told me faintly.
"I got to! You got hurt because of me, and now it's my turn to save you!" I told her firmly. I lifted my foot to start my run.
"You already did," Lena said weakly. My foot stayed in midair in shock. I looked at her and she smiled back.
"You…and the others…believed in me…took me in…wanted me to be your friend," Lena continued.
"Of course we did! I mean, you're the nicest, prettiest, and most intelligent girl ever! Who wouldn't want to be your friend?" I admitted as I brought my foot down. Lena chuckled softly.
"Apparently not Slade," she joked. My small flame of hope flared up a bit. If she has the energy to joke, then maybe…
"Well, Slade's an exception," I commented as I took a step.
"Cyborg please…forget about me…the others need you," Lena said faintly.
"I need you!" I shouted. Lena looked at me in wonder. Tears that had I pushed back finally broke through my restraint and fell without any sign of stopping.
"I need you Lena. Ever since I've met you, you've put a smile on my face, fill up my heart up with happiness, and made me laugh with joy. You're the light in my life now. Now that I have you in my life, I don't want live life without you!" I sobbed. Lena placed a hand on my face. I looked at her, and she was smiling again.
"Why do…you think…I took your blow for you? I was afraid…that I wouldn't be able to heal you…" she admitted. A mixture of feelings invaded my body. Did she…just admitted that she loves me too? And why wouldn't she be able to…oh that's right. I'm half-robot. Her tears can't heal something that's not organic. Full of hatred at myself, I took another step.
"Cyborg…"
"No! Because…I'm half-robot you're…dying! It's my fault and I'm going to fix it!" I told her with fierce determination and anger that wasn't directed at her.
"But it's not your fault…it was my choice…and I love you…just the way you are," Lena said. I again stopped walking in shock. Lena smiled brightly at me. Suddenly, her eyes closed and her smile disappeared. Her head fell slightly to the side. My heart stopped.
"Lena?" No answer. My blood and circuits froze.
"Lena?! Lena!" I cried. But no answer came. I carefully but quickly set her down. I grabbed her wrist and started to press on her vein.
"Lena don't do this to me! Lena!" I felt no pulse. Time stopped.
"No…no…No! NO NO NO NO! LENA!" I cried as my world was crashing down around me. But my pleas didn't bring her back. She's…she's gone.
"Lena…" I sobbed as my heart got stabbed by an arrow called heartbreak. I picked her up and hugged her close to me, as tears flowed down my face like they had never flowed before. I would've stayed like that forever, but soon time started to work again. With that, I heard the sounds of the battle behind me. My friends…they need me…and Slade's going to pay. I laid Lena on the ground and I stood up. With one last look at the girl that I still love with all my heart, I turned around and joined the fight.
Lena's POV
Somehow, I was able to break out of the world of darkness and pain and I opened my eyes. I was able to see my friends and Cyborg fighting Slade and they were losing. I'm…going to see my loved ones die in front of me again…NO! A feeling came over me, a feeling that I had felt only once before. Robin, sorry it took so long but I finally figured it out.
I thought about ending it with Cyborg...but I figured that would torture you guys too much. So, I should be have the next update by Monday. Anyway, please review and Happy Easter!
