Red Dawn: Chapter 20 Part 2
HEADMASTER OZPIN: (Vale Command HQ...)
Gathered at the very top floor in the Vale town hall, or Vale Command HQ as it had been dubbed, stood Headmaster Ozpin, Jasper Arc, Glynda Goodwitch, Raven Branwen, Magenta Misaka, and Professor Port. They stood around a glistening marble holotable that had the entire Kingdom of Vale laid out before them in real time.
They were discussing there next plans and trying to figure out the best way to move forward. So far, the battle of Vale was preceding at a stalemate. The Grimm along with their Shadow Guard masters were now fully through the border walls and inside of the Kingdom, meanwhile the Huntsmen and Huntresses were now slowly pushing them back due to the Atlas military now putting up a fight again.
It seemed that over time they would push them all back, however, all thoughts of a victory became cloudy as the new threats appeared.
Three giant dragon like creatures of Grimm, two the size of an Atlas cruiser, the third twice as big, we're now nearing the edge of the border walls, and from what they could tell each had a powerful rider atop them.
"We need to do something about those overgrown Nevermore." Jasper started. He had been leading and coordinating the Huntsmen collation for over ten years now, and his experience was greatly valued. His happy go lucky attitude reminded him of a cheery version of Qrow.
Loose with the laws and regulations, and would always open his mouth and object to anything he felt was not right, no matter who was speaking. In some parts it was good, as they didn't need more drones, they needed wise and intelligent free thinking individuals. However, it did cause conflict from time to time.
Despite it all, he was a well respected leader among his people, a fierce Huntsmen, as well as a loving father.
"Mistral finally reported in." Port cleared his throat, "Apparently, half the fleet was destroyed. The flagship was lost, along with the Queen Mother." This had only confirmed his suspicions, but it still made Ozpins heart heavy as he knew one of his students would be devastated upon hearing such news. "King Triton has advanced on the battlefield with his Vanguard to seek out his daughter, and will be fighting his way back."
"We've confirmed that he's currently near Opals position." That was Magenta who spoke next. Though young for his small council of trusted aides, she was wise and knowledgeable, as well as a natural born leader.
If she wished it, he could see her becoming a Professor, or even the next Headmaster of Beacon, and she cared for the students as much as he did. She certainly had the determination and drive for peace on all of Remnant. He didn't like playing favorites, but she was certainly up there.
He was sad this was her last year at Beacon Academy, both her, Opal and their teams were invaluable people in his administration.
"They are pushing back the Goliath's," Magenta continued, "and Team OPAL is requesting to regroup for an assignment, Arcangel, as Raven had called him."
"Hmm, well for now," Ozpin spoke up, "we will need to assign Teams to take out those dragons. Have Teams VDKA and RWBY take on the Eastern one, OPAL and JNPR for the Western one."
"Just in case," this time it was Raven who spoke up, "I'll remain on standby for Arcangel. I've seen him fight, I believe I'm the only one who can face him, no offense to your favored team."
"None taken." Ozpin replied. "And good point." Raven, who had been under cover in there midst for over 18 years, knew more than anyone about MOTS special group of beings, at least some of them. Some did not trust her due to her questionable past, but Ozpin knew the last thing she wanted in Remnant was destruction and chaos, so he trusted her completely.
"What about that other one, the one riding the Eastern dragon?" Jasper questioned, as Ozpin and Raven both glanced at each other. "Info on her, or that?"
The holo zoomed in on a white robbed being standing on top of the Grimm dragons neck, a sea of Shadow Guards behind her. Her face was slightly covered, but her skin was a pale grey color with thick pulsing black vanes running through it, her eyes were glowing a silver reddish color. Her short cropped hair was also dark blood red, and she was holding some type of long sniper rifle with a pointed black sword like thing on the end of it.
"Her name is, was, Summer Rose." Ozpin started,
"She was captured on a mission," Raven continued, "which is what led me to the employ of Lord Baal in the first place. She used to be a great Huntress, but by the time I had infiltrated, he had already broken her, literally, and in every way possible. He recreated her in his own image, increased her power and aura, and wiped her memory. Anything left of her old self was stripped away, and all that was left behind was her husk and will to obey Baal."
"I, see..." Jasper paused as he looked over Ozpin and Raven. "I'm guessing there is some history there? Summer Rose did you say? Any relationship to, your student, Ruby Rose?" He asked grimly.
"Yes." Ozpin nodded in confirmation, "Summer was once my student, and is also the mother of Ruby. I know it may seem, cruel, to have her face her mother, however, I'm hoping Ruby may be able to get through to her some how."
"I doubt it." Raven commented, gazing out the viewport, "You will only make that poor girl suffer and hate you even more."
"I've done many things I'm not proud of, but I don't have any regrets." Ozpin replied, "I'd like to give Summer the benefit of the doubt. And I'd also like to give Ruby a chance to find out and understand for herself. I've gotten no where by keeping her in the dark in the past, so it's best she faces her fears head on. It will in the very least, give her closure."
"If it doesn't break her that is." Raven retorted while glaring towards Ozpin.
"She's a strong girl, your niece. Don't underestimate her." Ozpin replied.
"I, agree with you Headmaster." Port said, "As cruel as it may be, the best way to face your fears is head on. And we had no confirmed reports until now. She can't say we withheld anything from her, though we should at least warn her what she will be walking into."
"I agree as well Port, thank you." Ozpin nodded towards his long time friend.
"Well then, for the biggest one, were going to need more then two Teams. Much more." Magenta spoke up,
"I have three Teams of Huntsmen on standby. If you can spare three or four teams of your own, I think that could do the trick." Jasper said,
"I fear it will require more, much more, but, for now let's just see what we can muster without spreading our forces too thin. President, please gather those teams and tell them we have a new mission." Ozpin ordered.
"Will do, Headmaster." She replied and got to work on her scroll.
"If that's all, let's get back to work then, we still have much to do, a war to win and a Kingdom to secure..."
STRAWBERRY BONBON: (Somewhere over Vale...)
"This isn't what I had in mind!!" Strawberry Bonbon shouted as they made a failed covert pickup. The target was Piña CoLada of Team OPAL, and the location was in the middle of Vale on the front lines.
"Hold on tight, we're going down!" The pilot called back from the cockpit as Wenge, Diamond, and Ochre prepared themselves for a crash landing. "One engine down! Call this a controlled crash landing!"
"I think we're famous for crash landings." Ochre commented,
"Don't worry, we'll be okay." Wenge assured them while having a death grip on his harness. It seemed he was trying to reassure himself more than anyone else.
"If anything, we have that crazy red head down there. What's the worst that can happen?" Ochre added.
"Please don't jinx us." Diamond scolded, "We have to survive the crash first."
"What's Piñas last position?" Strawberry asked through the rumbling of the ship and blaring alarms, her voice coming out calmer then even she had expected. She must be getting to used to crash landings.
"About two blocks away from what I can see." There extra escort, the student council Vice President and leader of Team PYNK Persia Peace answered for her. "We're going to have to make our way on foot. I'm calling in for pickup, it may be awhile." Her pink eyes flashed as her cherry painted nails got to work sending out messages on her scroll,
"What chance do they have if we didn't make it in?" Wenge asked,
"Good point." Ochre shouted back in agreement,
"We were shot down by a Shadow Guard nest on top of that building over there." Persia pointed to the top of a building three blocks away from them. "We link up with Piña here, then hit that tower."
"I like it, let's do it!" Ochre pumped his fists as the pilot shouted back through the intercom.
"Brace for impact! We're down in three, two, o-"
*CRASH! BOOM! THUD!*
The Bullhead crashed hard into the ground, violently shaking the craft, and would have thrown Strawberry clear of her seat if she was not wearing her harness.
"Team SWDO!" She started, unbuckling and interrupted as the side cabin door was ripped clean off of it's hinges,
*RAAWWWWRRRRR!!!!!* by a hungry Alpha Ursa now snarling at the occupants of the ruined Bullhead.
To her surprise, Diamond was the first one to react. With the distinctive snap hiss activation of her weapon she sprung towards the Ursa, her energy dust blade bathing the interior of the Bullhead in blues as she slashed down then flicked her weapon to the left. A large Grimm arm fell to the left and it's head rolled back, cut neatly at the neck.
"Go loud! Secure the area!" Strawberry finished. They weren't a Destroyer team, but they were no strangers to heated combat. Undoing her harness, Strawberry rose from her seat and unclipped her crossbow from her hip, Diamond and Ochre already leaping out of the Bullhead.
"I got the pilot, go go!!" She heard Ochre shout over the battle din.
Wenge flexed his hand, and unsheathed his sword, nodded towards Strawberry and leapt out the side of the Bullhead as well.
Growing battle sounds of Diamonds dust sword humming and sizzling as she cut through Grimm, Ochres gauntlets erupting, and the sound of Wenges sword slicing through flesh and cries of pain from the Grimm filled the air.
"I'll support you all in my own way, don't worry about me." Persia said calmly, now standing by the ruined door with her guitar in her hand and her eyes closed.
"As you wish, VP." Strawberrys mind switched over to combat as she crouched around the Bullhead door, sticking the barrel of her crossbow out along with her head, sighted on two Beowolves and pumped her trigger finger twice as a soft *poot*poot* rang out, two Beowolves with flaming bolts in their heads went down hard.
She wasn't as good a shot as her twin, but she was no novice when it came to quick shots. With Wenges flank now clear Strawberry instinctively dove out of the Bullhead, rolled, and came up in a sprint towards Wenge, firing a trio of shots to cover his back as he faced off with a Ursa. She aimed towards it's stomach and fired, stunning the Ursa as,
"Haaa!" Wenge shouted as he finished it off, "Ya know, seeing you in combat mode always amazes me." He commented, she replied with a smirk.
"Where's the pilot?" She shouted over the battle din,
"K.I.A.!" Ochre shouted back as he flipped off the top of the Bullhead back to Diamonds side to back her up.
"SWDO, were moving!" She called out and shot her three fingers forward towards a building ahead of them, a candy shop that was closed and boarded up. They acknowledged by quickly making there way towards it and cutting down everything in there path.
The rest of her team cleared the immediate area and moved in front of the building. Ochre disappeared from sight in front of the door and she noticed a small orange spec glide through the keyway. A minute later the door opened and he stood on the other side at full size grinning.
"Clear." He turned and moved deeper into the shop, the rest of the team and Persia entered the shop and she closed the door.
"This is your team, so I'll let you assume control, how do we move forward?" Persia asked, leaning up against one of the boarded windows, trying to peer through.
"Can you tell which building Piña is in?"
"Can do." Persia thumbed around on her scroll then gestured for Strawberry with a finger to get closer. "This is where we are, according to her scroll signal she's near this building here, it's only a block away. It looks to be a alleyway."
"I see. Ochre, I need you to do some recon for us."
"And I need you to start paying me Cupcake." He retorted before he made his way to the door and disappeared from sight.
"What are you thinking?" Persia asked,
"Hmm, well if possible I'd rather not go all out and fight unless we need to, at least until we make it to Piñas position. Have you been able to contact her?" Persia shook her head,
"No. I tried calling and texting, but nothing." Persia bit her lip in reply,
"You don't think she..." Strawberry let her sentence trail off,
"No way, if only Beacon were that lucky. But no, there's only one person with the strength to take her down and that's Opal. Piña is a fighter, she's Beacons number two for a reason, and also why she's allowed to go on solo missions."
"I see, well in any event, I'd like to sneak as best as we can to get to her, then we can assess the situation and worry about that Shadow Guard nest."
"May I offer a suggestion?" She asked kindly,
"Of course VP, you don't have to ask that."
"Piña can handle herself, so I'd say it would be best to split our forces. Have some recon check on that nest, say that orange shit bag and Diamond. While the three of us can make for Piña. By the time we get her and get ready to move out we will already have Intel on the nest and we can move on it then. And in the off chance Piña is overwhelmed, the three of us should be more than enough to offer her support."
"I think that can work." Strawberry nodded in agreement. "Sound good Diamond?"
"I'll do whatever you need me to do Berry." She quickly replied. "Send me the location and I'll text Ochre and meet up with him and make our way over there."
"Then it's settled." Persia said.
Strawberry complied and sent her the location from her scroll as Diamond also disappeared from sight, the door opened and closed, and she was gone.
"Well then, we should get moving ourselves I think." Wenge said,
"Agreed, you two take point. I'll be close behind." Persia said.
"If I may, why is it you like to hang back?" Strawberry asked her.
"That's quite simple, I like to observe and see your skills for myself. I'll be taking over Magentas duties next year, and I like to know which students I can count on in the field, especially due to the fact that not only does my team handle council and administration duties, we're also a Destroyer team. You need not worry about me, however I like to keep you all where I can see you, no offense."
"None taken." Strawberry replied, her voice taking on a curious edge, "So what do you think of my team so far?"
"Hmm. Well, despite one very annoying person, you all work well as a team. They respond to their leaders orders, and you get the job done. I highly praised your work with the Black Venom, and when I was asked who I wanted to escort me into Vale, I asked for your team personally." Persia replied nonchalantly as Strawberry felt her cheeks get warm. "Don't let it go to your head." She warned, "I have my eyes on you now, I'll be keeping a close watch on your victories, and failures alike."
"Understood, VP." Strawberry simply said trying to get her emotions under check.
"That being said," Persia pointed towards the door, "lead the way, team leader."
"Yes mam, Wenge..." She nodded towards him and he replied before she could finish.
"You got it. Let's do this..."
IVORY CANARY: (Grimm Reaper Mobile suit advance near Vale Command HQ...)
The mighty Grimm Reaper Mobile suit units charged down the streets of Vale, plowing through anything in there paths. Unchecked, they were unstoppable, and with her team leader and partner Destin leading the charge, they were invincible.
They had already cut a path out, freeing the command HQ from any threats, now they were simply pushing there way through and getting rid of as much Grimm as possible, even if they seemed never ending.
"Nights 9 and 10, break off to position Victor Delta Niner. Onix squadron, your clear for your bombing run in sector 2." Orders from General Cosmosa Roseus came through crisp in her cockpits intercom.
Overhead, two black fighter craft swooped in low followed by a trio of bombing fighters. She could make out the bottoms of the craft opening and red orbs falling from the bays down into the ground, and Grimm below. The ground shook as they hit and exploded, shaking her mind back to the here and now.
Head back to the action, Ivory moved her left foot rudder pedal forward while pulling her right control stick back and twisting it to the left and clicking the glowing red button on the side of the stick. Her mobile suit responded by charging forward, uppercutting one of the massive Grimm Goliath's, shoving her oversized dust rifle down into it's throat and blowing it's throat to ashes.
The giant machine shook twice with both shots as the Goliath's head glowed red then burst apart from the overload of superheated red dust being poured into it's throat. The rest of it's body went limp and fell, before slowly evaporating into dust and ash.
"Good one!" Destin called out in her earpiece, "Keep it up!"
"I told you I was qualified to use these!" She shot back into her mic. She glanced to a panel to her left and began to run her fingers over it, selecting the missile system affixed to the back of her mobile suit and linked them for spread fire. She sighted in on the fast approaching hoard ahead of her as she activated the system with her thumb, then squeezed the red trigger button that would launch the missiles.
Her mobile suit rocked as four orange streaks of smoke jetted up and out from her back and curved down towards the Grimm. The first one smashed into the lead Grimm, causing a large bright explosion that blocked out the impact of the rest. From her sensors, all of those Grimm were now nothing but ash and dust.
"Damn, I love this thing." She spoke to no one in particular.
"Just remember, you have to give it back!" Taigas voice came back. "So don't scratch it!"
"Yeah yeah." Ivory replied nonchalantly, keeping her focus on her sensors as she moved her mobile suit forward through the area she had just wiped out.
With the Atlas forces now backing them up, they we're making progress. Slowly but surely taking back all the lost ground the Grimm had taken. At this rate, the battle just might be over and won by dinner time.
"All forces keep pushing forward, don't let up. Grimm Reaper units report in with fuel status's." Destins voice came in clear and crisp through her ear piece.
Ivory glanced at her readouts to see that she was at 17% fuel left. At 10%, they had orders to fall back to rearm and refuel. These massive machines took a lot of fuel to keep them running at max.
"Rose two is at 17% fuel." There was a moment of silence after she announced that before her childhood friend reported back.
"This is Rasgriz One, lowest unit is at 15% fuel."
"Copy that Razgriz, sound off when 10%, check back in 5 mics, no exceptions."
"Copy that General."
"Rose two new tasking orders. I got four Bullheads and three fighters ready to take you to to sector seven, a few lengths from here."
"What do you mean?" Ivory asked her team leader.
"I just received a request for aid, got a mission for you. Grimm and Shadow Guards are attacking civilians not far from here and they need evac. You're to meet up with the team on the ground to aid and assist."
"So much for us working together, partner." Ivory retorted,
"Ivory... I'm needed on the tip of the vanguard, and I need someone I can trust to do this, to make sure they get out okay." Though she wanted to stay and fight by his side, she understood completely.
"Hmm, I understand leader." She replied,
"Rasgriz one, you go with her and assist, I'm counting on you two."
"Yes sir General Roseus! Leave it to us." Taiga replied triumphantly.
"The Bullheads will carry you to the drop zone and refuel you mid air. The fighters will keep you covered."
"Let's get on with it then." Ivory said.
"Hold her steady," Above her, four Bullheads swooped in low, "anchors dropping," two of them dropped long cables that latched onto her and Taiga's mech suits, "lock secure, pull em up!" then slowly began to retract and lift them into the air.
The loud roar of three fighter jets thundered by as the Bullheads turned in there wake to follow with her and Taiga now in tow. Two long tubes sprouted from the Bullheads and connected with the side of the mobile suits with a thud.
"Refueling commencing, stand by." Ivory glanced at her fuel readouts and watched them go back up as they were carried to the next area of engagement.
"Hey Tai, we have any more details on this mission?"
"More or less, a group of civilians we're reported trapped and under attack by Grimm and Shadow Guard forces. Since we're pretty close to them, it's now our job to make sure they come out from there in one piece. No Goliath's reported, but this is a priority call, Victor Papa Niner."
"What's that?" Ivory asked,
"Basically a special favor has been called in."
"Fast paced work, I kinda miss those small missions we went on back in the day."
"Two Mics out!" A voice called out over her headset.
"Fast paced like I said, these two minutes will feel like forever." Taiga retorted,
"Not if you want to help out!!" A strained voice called out as a sleek black fighter craft swooped by, stitching the rear end of a Nevermore with red dust before it had a chance to attack the defenseless Bullheads. "We've been at it since before this even started, wouldn't mind the help."
"Copy that Night 12," Taiga replied, "Rasgriz One and Rose Two will offer fire support. Two, switch to flak and heat seeking missiles. Intel says we won't need heavy ordinance for this pick up, but don't drain yourself."
"You got it Tai." Ivory glanced at the monitor that showed her fuel readout which were pushing up past 66%. She thumbed a switch on her right control stick and felt the mobile suit shift as the missile pods on her back unlocked and began to load. "Arming tubes one through four. Give me targets."
"Pick yourself. Free fire on all, we will clean up your crumbs." Night 10 ordered,
"Copy that, free fire on all Grimm." Taiga confirmed.
Ivory was still fighting to get use to all of the military jargen, though Taiga had insisted she just talk normally since she wasn't even apart of Atlas, and mostly cause the two were childhood friends.
"You got it, targets locked and..." Ivory squeezed her finger on the trigger as her targeting boxes flashed red, "firing!" Her mobile suit rocked with each time she clicked the trigger, and each time a orange streak jetted out from her mobile suit, seeking to devour Grimm. The missiles twisted and turned through the air and found their victims, erupting into a orange ball of fire and smoke and they smashed into Nevermore and Griffon creatures of Grimm, completely eradicating them.
"Reloading!"
"So, ever think about rejoining Atlas, don't you miss-"
"Pass." Ivory cut off her comment sharply . "I miss the tech, I don't miss the military, or the yes sir BS. Besides, my place has always been next the one who saved me when I was a kid. Where he goes, I will go."
"Wow, I didn't know y'all two were a thing." She teased,
"We're not." Ivory replied calmly, not falling for her bait. "But I do believe in honor and duty, to a degree. If Atlas was good for anything, it was instilling that into me. Not only is he my partner, but I owe him a debt, more than one, and you owe him as well."
"Yes yes I get it. I know he's more important than I am."
"Oh stop it. You know it's not even like that so stop being a baby. Just when I thought you had grown up."
"Fufufu, fooled you well didn't I."
"Rasgriz One, please be advised you're currently on an open channel." It was General Cosmosa Roseus who scolded her, "Cut the chatter during combat!"
"Yes mam, sorry mam!" Tai quickly replied as Ivory giggled and reloaded the missile pods on her back.
"We're coming up on the drop zone, Nights we have a new tasking order. We have air defense towers they set up that will rip us to shreds."
"Copy that Regal six, Nights 10, 11 and 12 will soften them up for you." Ahead, Ivory seen the three black fighter craft engage their after burners and blaze forward as they began there attack run.
"Kick the tires and light the fires boys and girls, let's get some!!"...
ALMONDA VERDE: (Trapped in a small building in the middle of Vale...)
Almonda Verde, a young human girl who spent the seven years of her life living in the safe confines of the Vale Kingdom. The only daughter of a famous married couple who were known around the neighborhood for their pastries. As it so happened, it was her birthday and her and her parents were in the middle of baking her one of the most beautiful and yummiest smelling cakes she had ever seen the two bake. What she thought would be the best day ever, was quickly cut short.
When the Grimm attacked, they attempted to gather those around and evacuate with them, but the Bullhead that came to pick them up was shot down as it was leaving and full of people she knew from her neighborhood. Now, they were all trapped in a small building tucked away in a alley with her mother and father, as well as a few of her other neighbors who didn't make it out in time.
They all watched on in hope, and horror as a sea of creatures of Grimm poured down the alley, fighting and clawing there way towards the entrance of the building they we're hiding in. Along with the Grimm were a large group of black robbed figures with long black swords slowly moving forward as well.
She was terrified for her life and couldn't stop her shaking. Not only hers, but her parents and neighbors lives, but even more terrified for the single young red headed female fighting for there safety.
Dressed in some weird dress uniform of what she knew was the Kingdoms school Beacon Academy which was composed of a red plaid skirt, black thigh high socks, brown dress shoes with gold buckles, and a black blazer with gold trimmings over a white dress shirt and red bow tie.
She was a beautiful young woman, and before she had started her desperate defense her hair was in a long pony tail with a few loose strands partially covering her eye right eye, and a thick braid that wrapped around the top of her head once, almost like a crown. She had a thin crown like jewl wrapped around her forehead with a blue gem in the middle, which accented her slanted red eyes and her peach colored skin, she was flawless. Was...
Now, her right sleeve was completely ripped off, exposing cuts and fresh, bite marks that we're currently dripping with fresh red blood, and her left sleeve which was untouched had a green ribbon wrapped around it with the word "Judgement" stitched in white.
Her blazing red hair was now down and loose, flying all over the place as she somersaulted over the gate with a small child in her left arm and landed beside one of the grown ups in there group who quickly stepped up to take the child from her.
"I found another one, quick take it." She said nonchalantly as blood continued to drip and drop from her arm.
"Y-young Miss, I don't think we can hold out here much longer, we've already ran out of ammo!" He cried out and she scowled angrily back at him. It looks could kill, she would have sent him to his grave in an instant.
"Well, no shit. You don't think I know that!?" She shouted back, "Would you rather I leave and let the Grimm have there way with you?"
"W-what? I-I didn't mean-"
"Whatever, just wait here. I was told someone was coming to pick me up. I'll just have to stay alive until then, or take them out with me." She replied,
"Miss, you can't be serious. You can't take them all on by yourself, you've been doing this for hours!" He said back, but she was completely serious. "Can we at least know your name?"
"That's not important, just stay out of my way. I refuse to let these beasts and those ninja fuck boys get the better of me." The red head popped a stick of gum into her mouth, then charged and leaped over the gate flipping gracefully towards the approaching hoard, hair whipping through the air and her red eyes blazing in fury.
She landed in the middle of a group of Grimm, and began to duck and weave as they started to attack, her arms now moving faster then her eyes could see as the Grimm started to turn into stone, then shatter into thousands of pieces as she smashed them. Grimm after Grimm we're smashed, but when one went down, three more took it's place, and now the robbed figures were within striking range.
A large number of black swords shot out towards her as she sprang into the air, twisting as she soared, using her momentum and her fist to avoid or parry the swords harmlessly away. Almonda could not be certain, but it looked as if some swords made it through, slicing past her arms and legs and cutting a fresh new gash into her cheek. After a short attempt at defense the robbed figures were on top of her, however, she held her ground and with a smirk no less.
She landed hard slamming her fist on the floor, causing stone spikes to erupt from the ground around her and impale those robbed figures in her immediate area. She ducked under one sword, upper cut one robbed figure, weaved to the right to avoid another sword, leaned back and kicked a robbed figure square in his face sending him shooting back, took two black swords in her back, spun and yanked them out and drove them back into their owners without missing a beat, only to suffer more stab wounds from others. She reached high and pounded the ground a second time causing more spikes to erupt, and the Grimm and robbed figures took a momentary step back to appraise the girl.
Her clothes we're now shredded, and blood now pooling around her feet. She stood strong in a fighting stance with her hands out, though she was breathing heavy, her eyes slowly scanning around her as she anticipated when they would begin the next strike.
"C'mon! I don't got all day!" She shouted. The attack came in a blur that Almonda would not pick up.
All she seen was two robbed figures now grabbing her arms from behind to hold her down and one tried to grab her waist from behind, but turned into stone and she smashed the two in the face with her elbows, and swung her head back smashing the back of her head against the face of the last one behind her, all shattered to stoney bits. She was literally beating them all to bits but they were also badly wearing her down.
As hard as she continued to fight back, she could tell the girl was passed her limit, way passed it. Her invincible front finally broke when she lunged forward for an uppercut but slipped on her own blood that was pooling on the floor, falling face first onto the ground. That one mistake, Almonda knew, would cost her life.
It was at that moment, every single robbed figure converged. A number of black swords rose into the air, then shot straight down into her. A quick sharp cry of pain could be heard as they continued to stab down, the first one was loud, the next were muffled as the girl tried to force her mouth shut, trying to look tough in front of the on lookers.
"Someone do something!!!!" Someone cried out in vain. Nobody moved an inch, and they all watched on in horror as this young beautiful girl had just given her life to protect them all and they didn't even know her name. They were all just normal humans with no power. None of them would have lasted a heart beat facing the Grimm or the robbed figures.
"Somewhere out there, beneath the pale moonlight, someone's thinking of me and loving me tonight." A beautiful voice cut through all the fighting, clashing and growling and everything went still. "Somewhere out there, someone's saying a prayer. That we'll find one another in that dream somewhere out there."
The robbed figures were now all slowly swaying back and forth, as well as the Grimm as if they were in a trance from the beautiful angelic voice that was now singing. It even made Almonda feel completely safe and she felt herself start to sway with the words before she even knew her body was moving.
"And even though I know how very far apart we are, it helps to think we might be wishin' on the same bright starrrr." It had to be the most beautiful voice she had ever heard in her entire short life, and she could not help but stop and listen with her full attention, she felt herself getting dependant on her voice.
It was then that the alley way erupted into blue light as a automatic dust turret began to relentlessly spit blue dust bullets down at all the Grimm and robbed figures, cutting them down by the twos. Even as they died one after the other, they kept swaying back and forth, completely entranced by the voice still gently singing atop of the whine of the dust turret fire.
"And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby, it helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky."
A long black and brown figure leapt from one of the buildings, landed in a roll and began slicing the swaying Grimm one by one as the turret continued to slaughter them by the score. Everyone one of her people continued to watch in silence, entranced by the music and unable to move a muscle.
"Somewhere out there, if love can see us through, then we'll be together somewhere out there, out where dreams come true..."
As quickly as it started, it was over. Nothing was left as the hoard now evaporated into dust, and three more figures came into view, all wearing the same uniform of Beacon Academy. Two girls, one with pink ringlet twin tails and cat ears wearing green glasses, and the other a red head with curly twin tails and pink eyes with a guitar in her hand. The other a male, a dark and handsome face as if it was etched by the gods, a long katana like sword in his hand as he scanned the area. The two females rushed over to the down girls side, while the male stood cover and scanned the area around them.
"Piña! Is she..." The other red head started,
"Not if I work quick!" The pink haired cat girl quickly ran her hands over the downed girl, which started glowing green. After a minute, the downed girl let out a loud a strained cough, and she shot back up to her feet and quickly got into a defensive stance, her body flashing green in the process.
"Woah there Piña, you sure you should be back on your feet?" The red head asked, trying to hold her shoulder as she shrugged it off,
"I'm fine." She got back into a fighting stance with fists out and scanned the area, not letting her guard down even though for all rights, she was nearly dead just a few seconds ago. She then dug into her pocket for another piece of gum.
Your wounds, how did your aura break?" They were looking over her as all her bite marks and stab wounds and slashes, started to heal themselves.
"Don't know, it broke hours ago. Don't really know how long I was fighting for." She finally put her hands down and let her guard down finally.
"Are yo-"
"I said I'm fine. You here with my ride? I got people I need to evac."
The pink haired cat exchanged a glance with the other redhead who shrugged.
"About that, we we're shot down and we're hoping you would be able to help us take out the Shadow Guard nest."
"Seriously?" She sighed, and placed her hand on her hips, finally looking down at her completely ruined outfit. "I was hoping for some new clothes too, fuck." She pointed her thumb behind her, "Civies back there, go see if they need anything, I'm gonna scout ahead."
"Wait!" The girl with cat ears grabbed her arms before she made off,
"I said I'm f-"
"That's not it, we already have scouts out, and a plan." The other girl who they had addressed as Piña looked her up and down before shrugging her arm off.
"Well then, it seems you have some usefulness after all." Piña replied and placed her hands on her hips,
"Ughhhhh." The girl with the guitar sighed loudly and made her way towards the gate and the civilians. The cat girl turned and began to walk away as well but Piña stopped her and her voice dropped low.
"Hey! Strawberry, right? Thanks..." The cat girl whom she called Strawberry beamed brightly and proudly, her cat ears twitching in delight.
"No, thank you. Putting up as good of a fight as you did, no one else could have lasted as long, or did as much as you did." She commended her,
"Pftt, I fucked up. I won't fuck up again." Piña replied, back to her cold demeanor.
For an instant, Piña turned quick as if feeling she was being stared at, and their eyes met. Feeling her cheeks burn from embarrassment, Almonda quickly turned away. She glanced in Piñas direction and she was now making her way towards her. Almonda quickly turned away again trying not to notice as Piña somersaulted over the gate, landed on her feet and a fist as light as a feather, still making her way over.
"Hey you, girl!" She called out.
"Uh umm, excuse me miss? Me?" Her mother answered.
"No not you, YOU." Piña pointed down at Almonda as she stopped in front of her, glaring down at her. "I could feel you watching me the entire time."
"Um um um, I'm so sorry!!" Almonda cried out as Piña continued to glare down at her.
"What's your name girl?"
"M-m-me??" She stammered, "A-Almonda mam."
"Pfft, what a weird name. I'm not a mam, it's Piña kid. Piña Colada. Remember that name. Good job keeping your eyes open, you can never be afraid no matter what your up against, and you can afford to blink. The instant you blink it's all over." In one deft motion Piña fell and sat crossed legged in front of her with her back to Almonda. Almondas face was now about a half a foot away from the back of her head, and her unruly red mane of hair. "Do me a favor kid, fix my braid for me. It got in the way while I was fighting, here." She handed a small green scrunchie back towards her.
"O-okay." She took the scrunchie and started to fix the one thick braid, re-brading it in record time then wrapped it back around her head and clipped it in place, and put the rest of her hair up into a high pony tail. Her hair was slick and greasy with sweat, but was still full, soft and silky. She could tell she took great care of her hair. Her shoulders were broad, and strong, and Almonda was suddenly wishing she would grow up to be as strong and brave as her.
As she finished her hair, her neighbors all gathered around and offered there thanks to her, which she mostly ignored or just nodded,
"I'm just doing my job, don't take it personally." She replied to a few.
"I'm done, Piña. And umm... Thank you, for saving us." Piña quickly rose to her feet and didn't turn around as she began to walk towards her schoolmates.
"It's not over yet, keep your head down and don't get in my way."
"Yes Piña, I, I, I WONT EVER FORGET YOU PIÑA COLADA!" She cried out and bowed. Piña replied with an amused snort, pausing in step before she continued on.
"Alright kids," she called out, "tell me about this plan you got..." Her voice was drowned away by the loud whine of approaching Bullheads. Fighter craft flashed overhead, dust cannons blazing red as they passed. Two enormous mecha like mobile suits fell from the sky and landed in a loud thud that shook the ground at the far end of the alleyway.
"Apologies Strawberry, I trusted in your plan but given the gravity of this situation I called in support. If this were a simple mission, I would have waited, but the fate of Vale rests in what we do here today, and we need to be swift and precise."
"I suppose that's fine then." The cat girl clearly looked downhearted as her cat ears folded forward a touch.
"Please don't take it the wrong way."
"The rich idol fuck never trusts anyone, get use to it."
"That's not it at all!"
"Yeah yeah." Piña murmured and waved her off as the fighters above continued there onslaught of an unseen foe hiding up in the tops of the buildings.
A large explosion on top of the roof shook the entire city block just as two Bullheads came in fast and low right near the gate they were standing near and disgorged two small groups of soliders.
"The Calvary has arrived boys and girls, or should I say the Canaries!" One of the mechs shouted as they both approached, sweeping their massive guns left and right to make sure no surprises popped up.
"Hey, that sounds like Ivory!" Strawberry exclaimed,
"Yes, she is that pink fuck boys partner after all, and he is currently leading the military. So you called them in VP?"
"That's right.
"Meh, load up the civies first, I can't wait to get out of here."
"Excuse me miss." As they were hearded through the gate and into the Bullheads, her father approached Piña. "It doesn't feel right if we don't do anything, and this is the least we can do." In his hand was a fresh skirt and a fresh white dress shirt. With her arms crossed, she looked him over before she reached out and took them. "It's not modest for a pretty young girl to be wearing, well, what's left of your clothes.
Piña glanced down at her outfit, she was missing her jacket, both of the sleeves of her dress shirt we're missing and the front was ripped in numerous places which was now exposing her green bra. Her skirt was also shredded and you could clearly see her matching green panties, especially from the back as there was nothing there to cover her rear end.
"Pfft, guess that explains the draft. I guess we can say this is payment for me losing mine." She began to unbutton her shirt.
"Piña!! Have some decency! You're supposed to be a lady!" Persia shouted, making her way over to try to cover her up, "Stop!" But Piña kept going and took her shirt off exposing her upper body. She wore a green bra and her body was firm and she had pristine skin, she was well built and endowed. She finished putting her shirt on, then went for the skirt next. "Jesus, you have no shame do you."
"I'm a Huntress first and foremost. Clothes are just a convenience. The only important thing here," she fixed the green patch and clippled it back onto her left sleeve, "is this right here. Now, someone give me a scroll charger, I need to make a call..."
RASPBERRY: (Dropping supplies off to a frontline Outpost near the Vale border wall...)
While Ebony and Sangria-sama were acting as pilot and copilot in the front of her personal Bullhead, Raspberry and Olivine lounged in the rear cabin, a cabin packed with dust, ammo, rations, and some extra weapons to drop off. As usual, Raspberry was curled up like a ball on her partners lap.
*GROWLL!* Raspberrys stomach sounded off in protest.
"Meowbad! I'm a little hungry."
"A little? Your stomach has been putting on plays for hours." Olive complained,
"W T F do you expect? I barely had time to do my hair as it is, you think I had time for breakfast? Or lunch? It's been nothing but long flights non stop all day meow!"
"There there my poor kitty, I forgot to pack your favorite snacks too."
"I know! I'd tottes kill for some fish right meow! Just drop me overboard in the ocean pwetty please!" She pretended to struggled like she was going to jump off of Olives lap, but her green haired partner held her tight.
"You are quite hopeless you know." Olivine continued to stroke her tail, holding her in place as she laid on her lap. "Take a nap, I can't give you food, but I can at least make you comfortable." Olivine began to massage her head, as Raspberry purred softly,
"O M G, I don't tell you often but you're tottes the best! Not even my sister coddles me like this, keep it coming meoww!" Raspberry replied in utter bliss.
"Would you like me to take your hair out?" Currently Ras had her typical Leia buns in, and a third bun in the back, all tied together with red ribbons and large golden bells. Without it all done up, her curly hair dropped to her ankles, and it was unruly in that form like the mane of a wild lioness. Ras hated it that way, it was ugly and got everywhere. But they weren't doing much work today, just ferrying supplies.
"Do it up sistah!" Olive wasted no time at madly attacking her buns, and she had them all out in record time. Now finished, Olive begin to brush it and run her fingers through her long pink crimson hair. Life. Was. Purrrrfect.
*PURRRRR*
"I love a happy kitty." Olive cooed happily. Whatever made her partner happy, Ras would not complain.
"At least wrap the end of it so it won't get too wild pwetty pweaseee!" She stuck her paws out with her request,
"Of course." Olive simply replied as she went to work.
"Hey Sangria-sama!" Ras shouted, "How long until we get there!?"
"About five minutes if it all goes well." Ebony responded instead of Sangria. "She's busy at a game of poker on her scroll."
"W T F?! Don't make me come up there you crazy ginger!"
"Is that the best you got pussy cat? Hush up, I'm about to score 20k lien if I lock this in, don't bother me right now." Sangria called back with malice in her voice. "I know you're back there getting a rub down and getting ready for a nap so don't give me your shit."
"What the what? So hostile jeez. But... you caught me red pawed meow!" Olive sighed at Raspberrys remark, "But still... Poker?"
"I said HUSH UP! And it's NOT poker."
"It's that time of the month is what it is meow." *Sniff sniff* Ras sniffed the air and could already tell someone was in the middle of the girly woes.
"I'm warning you one last time. Shut the fu-"
"Hold that thought, we got a red flare coming from the outposts position." Ebony spoke sternly through her ear piece,
"Uh, red means..." Sangria floundered,
"Only the Outpost commanders carry them. It means they've been overrun, turn back." Raspberry finished for Sangria, instantly getting into Team leader mode, "Get us home Ebony, like now! Contact our escorts!"
"You got it Ras."
"Shit, heads up! Both our escort fighters just fell out of the sky!" Sangrias strained voice sounded over the speakers,
"What do you mean, fell?" Ras asked,
"I mean lazily turned into a dive as if the pilot was suddenly not in control. I tired to contact them but got no response."
"What the hell-"
*THUD!* Something crashed on top of the Bullhead as a black blade pierced through the roof.
"What the shit!? Is this really happening!?" Ras squealed as she reached for her pistol Ripper, "We've got company!"
"Don't let them hurt my baby!" Ebony cried out as five more blades cut through the roof and made a rectangular hole, the metal plating crashing to the floor with a Shadow Guard on top of it ready to strike, they wasted no time at all.
"Get us out of here right meow!!" Raspberry shouted as she pinched her trigger and landed a head shot on the first guard to enter as he turned for Olive. Olivine then shoved her now flaming tipped staff through the hole, impaling the next one that tried to jump down in.
"I'm trying! I'm having problems with the left eng-"
*BOOOOM!* The Bullhead jumped and violently shook as Raspberry and Olivine crashed into the ceiling, then slammed hard back on to the floor.
"Owwie!" She cried out, thankfully her aura was really the thing that took the hit, not that she still didn't feel a good amount of it. Without aura she would have suffered a few broken bones at least.
"I can't hold her steady! W-we... we're going down!" Raspberry had already figured that much out as she was now stuck to the wall from the g-forces of the flat spin and dive they now were in. Every two seconds she could make out the falling and flaming wing and engine that had been sliced off as they spun faster and faster and fell from the sky. The corners of her eyes started to blacken, her ears were ringing, and it felt as if she would be crushed flat against the wall.
"Raspberry!!" Olivine cried out, reaching her arm out to try and grab Ras as the side door blew out, taking Olivine along with it.
"Olive!!" Raspberrys vision finally faded away to nothing but blackness...
"(What... Where...)" Slowly, light started to break through her vision, but not a single sound was heard. She remembered the falling Bullhead, they must have crashed landed, again.
Her vision slowly cleared, emitting a bright light as her nose wrinkled at the smell of fire and smoke. All feeling in her body was lost as her eyes cleared more and she could notice a figure ahead of her through the flames that we're burning the wrecked Bullhead.
She focused on Ebony on her knees about 20 meters ahead of her outside the Bullhead. She was safe, thank dust she was safe.
No... she was not safe. A black shadow loomed behind her, in it's hand was a long black sword which he swung across her back once, which caused her to arch back, a second time as what looked like dust or some type of liquid exploded from her back, a third slash with the same effect. To end it, the sword pulled back and shot clean through her back and through her chest.
This had to be a dream right? This couldn't be happening, they were just joking and enjoying themselves mere minutes ago, Raspberry thought to herself as a dark shadow loomed over her own body. Still unable to move or feel any part of her body, all she could do is look up into the red glowing eyes as it lifted a black blade into the air that was aimed directly towards her heart.
It was then that realization finally struck home. They may have been joking, and having a good time ferrying supplies, but there was a war going on and there were people out there fighting with there lives on the line, many who she now knew she would never see again. This, was her punishment for not taking it seriously at first, and it was a fatal mistake.
Time seemed to slow as she thought about her twin sister, her beloved twin sissy who she wished she could hold just one more time, just one more chance at seeing her get flustered and bashful, the real Strawberry, the one that was sweet. The one that had been by her side since day one in all of these 18 years. That cute rare face she makes when she gets embarrassed, the way she would purr when you rubbed that sweet spot behind her oh so adorable pink and fuzzy cat ears.
As the black sword drew closer, Raspberry closed her eyes, remembering all her moments with his sister. She was so commanding, and always took charge of the situation, saved her life more than once. Tottes reliable in any situation. Sis, I'm sorry...
Not only her, but Sangria, Ebony, Olive... Oh Olivine. I'm so sorry I failed you guys... Raspberry squeezed her eyes tighter but, nothing happened. She waited some more, but nothing. Did she already die?
Slowly opening her eye, the shadow before her fell over with a green glowing bolt of light through it's head. The shadows near Ebony suffered the same fate and evaporated into dust. Near Ebony, three green robbed figures fell from the sky and started working over her, their hands glowing green as they touched her back and chest.
Raspberrys hearing slowly returned as another green figure fell and landed before her. He was dressed in a fitted dark green leather hooded jacket with the same leather pants and black boots. His left sleeve was holding a pouch with a number of small green dust vials in it, his right sleeve one with short green arrows with black arrow heads. He also had these pouches of weapons and dust all throughout his armor, clearly geared for war.
For a weapon he was using a green and golden compound bow held in his left hand. Connected to the bow was a pouch with black throwing daggers, and a second pouch which contained other full length arrows to already complement the quiver he was wearing that was jam packed with arrows.
"We've got another one-" He paused mid step, and even though Ras could not see his face due to the hood, she could tell he was examining her, hard. "My... my Queen," he put his bow on his back, touched his heart and bowed his head quickly then held his left hand out, "You are badly injured, please permit me to lay my hands on this most holy vessel and attend to you."
"...(W T F)..." She thought as he reached into a pouch on his golden utility belt and pulled out a vial of green fluid. Without hesitation he popped it open and downed it in a split second, blowing green mist into his now bare hands, he began to rub the top of her head. Her senses got even more duller, but she started getting feeling back to her head, which was throbbing harshly. It felt like every second, someone was bashing her head with a hammer.
"B..." *COUGH* she tried to open her mouth and warn him about the three Shadow Guards that were slowly creeping up on him, but his arm flew backwards as three black daggers soared from his finger tips into the Guards heads, all three fell over in death before they even knew what hit them.
"Please don't strain yourself, you've suffered a terrible head injury. This will keep it stable for now, but your going to need aura." He bowed his head again, "My Queen." reached out and scooped her in his arms, which she fit perfectly in to. Slowly, he picked her tail up while keeping his eyes on it, and curled it slightly so it was neatly resting on her chest. He took a deep breath before moving forward, and gently ran his fingers through her hair as he fixed it so it wasn't trailing on the floor and moved it from her face.
"My, what angelic hair you have. Aljaya, top the lady off please."
"Yes Pr-" *GASP* She also paused mid step as she laid her eyes on Ras.
"Jaya."
"Yes yes!" The green figure took her hood off, a green haired cat faunus with light skin and cat ears, she rushed over to the two of them. She placed three fingers on Raspberrys face and closed her eyes. Slowly but surely, Raspberry felt her aura returning and her body healing itself as it used up said aura. Her strength was also coming back. Strawberry had this same power, but this was way more refined, more potent.
"You must be starved." He removed his hood as well, finally revealing his dark green hair, fierce but humble purple eyes held in place by his perfectly chiseled cheeks and jaw, skin the color of milk chocolate, instantly reminding her of Olivine. "Would you like a fish?" He asked softly.
At this point, Raspberry knew she was dead, and convinced herself of this especially as he dug in another pouch on his side and pulled out a small glass with white fluid, and a small fried thing, in the mold of a fish.
"It's taiyaki, Nutella and bananas wrapped in fried fish scales, it's a delicately in my country. And, milk, of course for my Queen." She could get use to this treatment from such a beautiful specimen of a angel.
*PURRRRR* She was now softly purring in his arms as he held the vial to her lips and she drank what was in it, which was indeed an amazingly tasting milk, perfectly chilled. He then slowly held the warm pasty to her lips, she took a small bite and let her taste buds explode at how flavorful it was.
"Opps, I got you my Queen." He reached down and plucked a crumb off of her cheek and ate it. Along with getting the feeling in the rest of her body back, and now her uncontrollable purring, she could feel her cheeks now burning red and her heart thumping out of her chest.
"I'm, I'm sorry sis, but I promise I'll make the best of heaven. Excuse me beautiful angel, I'm not sure how things work in heaven but will you marry me?"
His head shot back in shock, then turned to the right, turned to the left... looked up, then left again. This mighty angelic warrior looked as if he was in shock,
"No no, I'm talking to you handsome angel, your totes sexual chocolate and I love you! Marry me pwetty pweaseee!!" She planted a big kiss on his cheek,
"M-my queen?!" Raspberry wrapped her arms, and tail around him and squeezed him hard as he stumbled and blood exploded from his nose like something straight out of an anime, heaven this certainly was.
"Excus-... Ah em, my Prince, we have the princess, we will treat her right away."
"Huh, princess..." He mumbled and completely blanked out as Raspberry continued to purr deeply and snuggle into the tall dark and handsome angel. He slowly lifted one hand up, and slapped his face, coming back to his senses. "My, my Queen..." He blinked twice before looking down at her. "I must first introduce myself, if you are truly serious that is. My name is Leif Lace, first Prince of the Lacendivine Kingdom." Not very smooth, Ras thought to herself. Is this angel afraid of faunus girls or something-wait... That lost Kingdom of kitties Olivine was from... Could Ras... Not be... dead... No, no way this angelic like moment could ever happen in real life. Impossible! "If you would have me, I'd be honored to make you my Queen." In the span of one second, he twisted away and yanked a dagger out of a patch and shoved it forward. Turning her head Raspberry noticed Olivine a few feet away with the dagger now pointed to her throat. Leif's eyes widened, but he kept the dagger pointed for her throat.
"Gren Ya." Olive greeted. Oh no, did Olive die too?!?
"Subayai, I'm sorry but you may not approach the future Queen of our Kingdom." One of Olives eyebrows rose as she drove her staff into the ground and got on a knee.
"I'm sorry, but she is already mine." Olive stated,
"Hmmmm? Actually, she just asked me to marry her, so we now belong to eachother."
"Ehh..." Coming to her senses and realizing this was NOT a dream, or heaven, Ras took another bite before speaking up again,
"Um, excuse me, Leif? But she's my partner, and also my best friend. Could you put the uh, dagger down... pwease."
"Huh? Oh I..." He quickly spun the blade around his hand and stuffed it back in it's pouch. "It's, not what you think my Queen. I'm not only her brother, but I'm also her trainer. I must keep the princess on her toes at all times. I instruct her to never let her guard down, but... ahh... this is not the time for scolding." They both leaned forward and touched foreheads, "I've missed you imouto, young sister."
"I've missed you as well, onii-chan. It's been awhile, but this is my patona, my partner in Beacon. I think we should explain to her a little of our culture." Leif nodded as he looked down into Raspberrys face, still cradling her like a princess in his arms. None of this made sense as Ras noticed all the other green robbed figures were now all on a knee in front of them, including Olivine.
"You see my Queen, we have many, many feline faunus in our Kingdom. However, not a single one has a shippo, a cat tail. It's said the one with a crimson tail will bring about a golden age to our people. We... me and you were destined to be together. I tried to restrain myself, but then you asked me to marry you. I knew it must be fate." His skin was as dark as Olives, but she could see his cheeks getting brighter despite that.
"Is that true Ras? He hasn't hurt you has he?"
"No!" Ras squealed, "I mean, he saved my life. So wait, I'm special because of my tail?" Both Leif and Olivine nodded, "Who would've known hehe." Taking another bite, Ras looked out towards the other green robbed figures who were still bowing before them.
"There are beautiful girls all over the world, but none can come close to your beauty." He said, never breaking eye contact, "But now, we mustn't leave you out in the open like this. Jaya send a signal, we will keep clearing to the Outpost until we can secure a ride."
"At once, Prince Leif." The green haired cat fired a green flare high into the sky,
"Wait! Where is Sangria, Ebony!?" Ras cried out, finally remembering her teammates.
"Over here pussy cat!" Behind the robbed figures stood Ebony and Sangria, one of the faunus cats still attending to Ebony's wounds on her back, "We're fine, enjoy yourself pussy cat, it looks like you are." Ras felt her cheeks burn, Leifs cheeks got brighter as well as he turned away.
"I uh..."
"Would you mind putting my partner down Gren Ya?" He looked down at Raspberry, with an almost sad look on his face.
"If she wills it, then her wish is my command." Ras snuggled deeper into his arms as her purring deepened in intensity, and she put on the best smile she could muster,
"If you happen to have another fishy, I wouldn't mind staying up here longer meoow." She flashed a dazzling smile and put her paws up. She felt Leif stumble again as his face flushed and his heart pounded against her. Yup, she had him wrapped around her finger!!!... But for some reason she felt as if it was going to be both ways... Well, if this wasn't a dream Raspberry didn't want this moment to end.
"Ermm, I.. ah em... my Queen." He nodded then reached down and pulled another one of his fish pastries and held it to her mouth, still warm as she took a big bite out of it. "My last one, please enjoy it my Queen."
"Really? Well here, NOM." She took another big bite and leaned forward with the other half in her mouth, "Hafff sooom." She muttered, his face flushed brighter as he looked around again. He took a deep breath and slowly, he leaned forward and bit off a piece that she held in her mouth, their lips mere centimeters away from eachother, and he slowly chewed. Raspberry could feel his breathing get shallow, and his heart pounding against her as he swallowed, Olivine off to the side now pouting with her hands on her hips.
"T-thank you my Queen. It tasted delicious." Ras could get use to this treatment.
"Ah em..." Olivine cleared her throat, "Excuse me you two, but we still do have things to take care of."
"Senshi's," he called out, "move forward." The green robbed figures put their hoods back on and scattered ahead, weapons in hand.
Now clear of the trashed burning wreck that use to be a red Bullhead, Sangria and Ebony made there way over to the two siblings and Ras.
"Soooo, who's this hottie Ras?" Sangria questioned with a huge grin on her face.
"Sangria, Ebony, meet Leif Lace, first Prince of my homeland, also my older brother and my combat trainer." Olive introduced them, "These two are also my teammates, together we form team ROSE. Raspberry here is our leader." Leifs eyes widened as he glared at Ras again,
"Is that so? I'm sorry my Queen, I had no idea. Subayai told me little of her time here in her calls, and she told me nothing of her beautiful leader." Raspberrys heart slightly dropped as he gently placed her down onto the ground, she wanted to be held longer!
"Aww, I didn't tell you to put me down meow." Ras teased, but he took her seriously. Leif bowed and quickly scooped her right back up in his right arm.
"Please forgive me my Queen. I didn't mean to
impose."
"Meow?" Raspberry purred as he adjusted to her and she wrapped her arm around his neck. Ebony walked over and handed Ras her two pistols, which she holstered quickly, and wrapped her arms back around Leif while poor Olivine continued to pout.
"Let's get moving, please hold on tight my Queen."
"You know, my name is Raspberry Bonbon, my friends call me Ras, you can call me that as well... If you want that is."
"Are you sure my Queen?"
"Mmmhmm." She nodded as he put his hood back on, aimed his bow high at a nearby building and pulled out a green arrow from his quiver and loaded it.
"Very well, Queen Ras." Close enough, Ras thought as she shrugged. Leif fired the arrow and it soared out and caught onto the top of the roof, a little black wire trailed behind as they were suddenly flying through the air, his left hand firmly on his bow, and his right arm making sure Ras didn't fall off.
They landed on top of the roof and he instantly had four arrows in his finger tips as he loaded and fired, barely aiming or looking as four Shadow Guards fell to the ground from his attacks. Three more appeared behind them as Raspberry leveled her already drawn Ripper and fired three shots, scoring three head shots. Leif glanced at her with a raised eyebrow.
"Those shots were, amazing." He quickly turned away,
"I've had practice hehe, and same to you meow." She replied while twirling her pistols around her fingers. He blushed as he repeated the process and took down three more Guards with ease, never breaking his gaze into her eyes. On the side of the roof, at least seven Shadow Guards climbed up and readied their black katanas, two each as one shot out from each Guard.
Leif quickly had seven arrows in his finger tips as he loaded and fired, each arrow hitting a blade and knocking them off course, while Raspberry fired as quick as her fingers would let her. Even though the guards blocked her shots with their katanas, Leif fired one lone arrow near their feet that exploded and blasted them back off the roof in which they climbed.
"Nice one!" Ras squealed as behind them, four green robbed figures appeared as well as Olivine.
"Ebony and Sangria are moving low with our Senshi's."
"Your what?"
"Our warriors, they will be safe."
"Otay!" Ras replied, looking forward as more Shadow Guards emerged from the sides of the building.
"I guess that was just the first wave huh." Raspberry moaned,
"Sangria is finally getting that fight she wanted." Olive countered,
"No kidding."
"I'm sorry my Queen, but I think it best if I put you down."
"Nope!" Raspberry shimmied around so she was behind him with her legs wrapped around his waist and her arms around his neck. "If you wish to marry me, you cant ever let me go!" She purred as she rubbed his cheek with her tail, and she could feel the warmth of his cheeks now burning.
"Ermmm, ah em.." he cleared his throat as he gestured forward with his hands. "Well then, since I have precious cargo I'll stick to range for now." The green robbed figures rushed forward, their bows changing to spears as the Shadow Guards rushed forward to meet them. Olivine lead the group while Leif stayed back and loaded his bow while giving Ras a piggy back ride.
Suddenly, Ras was flying up into the air and spinning and noticed four Guards approaching Leif from behind. He dropped low and spun as his bow switched to a spear, knocking all the Guards on their backs. Mid spin Leif tossed his hand up as four green glowing bolts rose into the air, then dropped back down into the fallen Guards heads. He chucked his spear forward towards a Guard going after Olivine and reached out just in time to catch Ras in his arms as she fell back down.
"I'm sorry my Queen, technically I didn't put you down." He smirked,
"Meoowwwkayyy, I'll let that slide this time." She teased as she fired off more rounds scoring two more head shots as she got back into position on Leifs back while Olive and her Senshi were engaged in close combat with Shadow Guards. Leif rushed forward to retrieve his spear, switched it to a bow and went back on the offensive, all while holding Raspberry on his back, Rocket must have loved this with Peach!
A door on the roof blew open as a Shadow Guard stumbled out and a beserk Sangria charged out spinning her blades low and chopping it's legs off then gave it a finishing decapitation as it fell over. Ebony and four green hooded Senshi's followed her out. A look of hatred or righteous fury was on Ebony's face as her sniper switched to it's long blade form and she charged the remaining Shadow Guards,
Before she knew it, all the Guards in the area were wiped out on the roof. One green robbed Senshi came close to Leif and whispered in his ear.
"My Queen, this is your territory, we've cleared this area, but the Outpost is lost. Shall we continue to hold it, or abandon it?"
"Hold it meow? Well uh..." Ras scratched her head, "Anyone have a radio?" Sangria sighed as she pulled her scroll out.
"Here, don't go through my shit."
"Like I wanna look at your krusty nude selfies. Thankies!" Ras squealed, taking a moment to snap a selfie of her and her green haired savior. She cheesed while he blushed and put on an awkward grin,
"Uh..." He said as he turned away,
"Get use to it." Olivine said as she approached them. "You have no idea what you're getting yourself into."
"Hey!" Raspberry pouted, "You seem to love me!"
"I'm your partner, I don't have any other choice."
"Like I didn't have a choice when you became my partner?"
"Exactly."
"Ughhhhh." Ras sighed, "Your hopeless. Anyways, I think we should get back to HQ, with no Outpost and no supplies, there is no reason for us to stay here."
"Very good my Queen, Senshi's! Fall in, we're leaving this place!"...
OPAL DAICHI: (In a Bullhead somewhere over Vale...)
"I'm proud of you. What you did was admirable." Piña groaned as Opal complimented her,
"Blah blah, I was just doing my job. I seen a big group of Grimm and was bored so I said fuck it, why not."
"The way you always try to deny that you care is so adorable." Opal teased,
"Fuck you Opal." Piña turned away, and Opal was slightly upset she couldn't see Piñas flushed face, she could however see her bright red ears.
"In any event, you did good. Keep up lifting the name of Judgement, and of Team OPAL of course." Opal replied,
"I heard you were amazing ya! Wish I could have seen it for myself ya know?!" Linen commented with a wide grin and a peace sign.
"Ugh, can we just get on with this. What's the story anyway? I was fine on my own, why did you call us all here?"
"As you wish. Currently, we are-"
*BZZT BZZT BZZT*
Opals scroll began vibrating in her skirt pocket, which she dug and and looked at the caller and picked up instantly.
"Perfect timing. Hello Sensei, you're on speaker. I assume you received my message?"
"I did Opal, you understand what your asking, don't you?" Ozpins voice came clear through the speakers.
"Have faith in them Ozpin, after all, if they can't stop him, who can? Each one of them is powerful in their own right and they have been training for this together for the past four year's, two of them there whole lives." Glyndas voice could be heard as well.
"We're not asking, this isn't a matter for debate. This is what we do, and I won't let that murderer, that monster get away with what he did." Armani butted in, "We got solid Intel, we can't turn back now."
"And I second that, he's not getting away!" Linen stomped her foot. "We can handle this ya know!?"
"Seems like a tough fight, finally." Piña mumbled,
"The least we can do is take out that monster." Piña commented nonchalantly,
"What, Piña not itching to fight the main baddie?" Armani pointed out,
"I'm just itching for a fight in general, and that's the lesser of two evils. I'll take it down myself, you guys can deal with the other guy." Piña corrected as she popped her shoulder than punched the palm of her hand. "I'm sure Opal is more than itching to take care of him herself and get some payback. And we will only get in each other's way."
"It's settled then, what are we waiting for?" Armani popped his headphones in and grabbed his hover board off the side of the Bullheads wall,
Opal raised her hand to stall more comments from Armani, or the rest of her team for that matter. In times like this she put her teams feelings into all her decisions, and acted on them accordingly, no matter how ridiculous. If they all had the same voice on a subject, then it was done. She had nothing but complete trust and respect for her teammates.
"We've reached a group decision Sensei. We have our intel, and we won't be in a better position then we are now. Now, please give us your blessing, Headmaster Ozpin." She bowed her head to the hologram of her much respected Sensei, who sighed.
"Don't push yourself too hard out there. Team OPAL, you have my blessing. I have faith in you all." Ozpin added, "To be honest, we we're going to send you four after him anyway. The fact that you all came to this decision on your own only confirms that you are Judgement material, not, that I've ever doubted you before. Backup will also be heading your way."
"Thank you Headmaster, we will take it from here. Armani, if you would." A smirk made it's way onto his face.
Armani Onix, slapped the open switch with his free hand as the side door slid open and the cool air poured in. Just about 750 meters away and down in the sky, Archangel stood on top of the giant dragon like creature of Grimm.
They all stared down at the monster before them, then their eyes fell upon Opal, expectant and waiting. No matter how different, hot headed, outspoken, or mixed up her teammates could be, they never acted without her authority, they were loyal to a fault. And now as they expected to jump into the belly of the beast, they awaited there leaders command. This made her smile proudly. She grabbed a halberd in each hand and closed her eyes.
"Judgement Squad, listen up! Our foe has the power to control gravity, so be careful in getting close. I'll take point, follow my lead when we get down there. We're abandoning ship, Armani the hull is yours, accelerate it. When you get down there back me up while Piña takes out the dragon. Linen you have the hard job of supporting us all. Start with the lesser of two evils while I hold off Archangel. We jump in 20 seconds, ready?"
"Born ready." Armani quickly replied,
"Finally." Piña said while getting to her feet and adjusting her gloves.
"We all really know who gets the hard job ya know? Just make sure to give me tons of praise!" Linen fixed her glasses and stuffed her yo-yos into her skirt pockets as Armani gave her head pats,
"Couldn't do this without you." He said,
"Fufufu." She replied in delight.
"10 seconds, Linen you're up, begin Judgement!"
"Yes mam!" Linen saluted as she walked over to the edge of the Bullhead, Armani held her sides as she leaned halfway out. She raised both her hands high, and brought both down in a loud echoing *SNAP!* Like a wave on the dragons back, it's spines, spikes, and all its white armor plates faded away into nothingness, leaving only it's smooth black skin behind.
Her semblance could strip clothes off the backs of individuals, but the true purpose of it was not only stripping off armor, but also stripping off aura and being able to store it for herself, making her equal and value in her lack of fighting skills with the others. Though powerful, using it in such a large scale as this rendered her nearly unconscious, making Armani have to carry her around when she went all out. And now as she dragons armor fadded away and became completely defenseless, Linen slumped over into Armani's arms, out cold.
With her ability to also restore and transfer aura, she was truly irreplaceable. Linen was absolutely the heart and soul of Team OPAL as well with her cheerful and happy for lucky personality. While many viewed her as immature and irresponsible, she was actually the most tactical person on team OPAL, as well as the teams cook when on long missions in th field.
Originally from a rich family in Vacuo, Linens parents had adopted Armani at a young age as a servant, slave more like. The two became close over the years, eventually fleeing to Vale and changing her identity.
They were an odd pair, but they were inseparable. They didn't engage in any romantic activities, but Armani only ever had eyes for her. The same was true of her, though she at least branched out and made friends outside of the team. Armani did have a few guy friends, but he all but ignored females, unless it was for work. Which made them flock to his side even more. The dark skinned, gray haired, blue eyed pretty boy who was as cold as steel was Beacons top lady killer for the way he ignored girls, and because he was still single, officially.
He normally did things by the book, and always put the safety of his teammates before his own, especially his partner. He rarely ever lost his composure and always seemed to be in control. The two were complete opposites, but a perfect match.
Piña on the other hand, suffered far worse. Raised as a toy for releasing stress for a white fang clan, she became heartless throughout her younger years. Eventually gaining her semblance and killing her master's before ending up at Beacon Academy.
The only people Piña got along with were her teammates, never making a single friend outside OPAL since initiation day. She hates faunus, but puts up with them. Short fuse with light duty, but when things got rough, she was the one person you wanted by your side.
She had a filthy salors mouth, but it was also something that made her unique. She always spoke her mind, no matter who it was she was speaking to, and while she was known to be cold and hard as stone, Opal knew she had honor and she cared about helping others.
Before Beacon, Opal herself was the top bully at her first school, constantly getting into trouble and fights. Her final year, no one dared get in her way for fear of getting a few broken bones bare minimum.
When Piña and Opal first met, instead of two people working together, it became a duel to see if the other was worthy of breathing the same air. After destroying half the Emerald forest and using Death stalkers and Beowolves as ballistic missiles and clubs, in the end it was a stale mate and Headmaster Ozpin sent his council president to collect them, or rather ex president Cinimon Misaka.
Unfortunately they ended up teaming up against him and got their uppity butts kicked by him. As punishment, they were forced to be partners, as well as becoming Judgment Squad 2, to learn responsibility.
Opal looked over her team as they all offered her a nod. In the end, it all worked out however, somehow. Team OPAL was elite, and they acted as one, as the left arm of Headmaster Ozpin.
"For Vale, for Mistral, for Judgement!" Opal shouted as she flung her first unstoppable halberd with all her power down towards the Grimm dragon, creating sonic booms as it soared towards it's target, then she threw her second one straight towards Archangel. The two giant axe like weapons shot out like cruise missiles as she grabbed her third, her main halberd which she named Rory. Spinning it between her two fingers she took a deep breath, then dove off the edge of the Bullhead towards her prey. Piña was second to follow, she also dove head first. Armani was now giving Linen a piggy back ride as he floated free of the Bullhead on his hover board.
Armani floated outside to the other side of the ship, reached out and touched the side of the Bullhead, infusing his aura into it as it vibrated and shot out like a ballistic missile. It hurled at blinding speeds towards the dragon as if thrown by some unseen force, good ol 'Accelerator'.
The first to strike was Opals first halberd which plowed through the dragon with no sign of slowing, and came out clean through the bottom of the creature, leaving a large gaping hole in it. The Bullhead followed next as Armani held a little red glowing orb on the top of his index finger and the front of his thumb, a small red nova dust grenade, a small but absolutely destructed item the size of a marble.
Taking a second to aim, he flicked and accelerated the red marble just as the Bullhead plunged inside the hole Opals first halbred made, causing it to erupt in a large ball of flames and open an even bigger gapping hole as the giant creature cried out an ear splitting yell of pain.
Still nearing her target as only about 10 seconds had passed, Opal noticed bodies moving around on the surface, it was crawling with a legion Shadow Guards. This would be no problem for Piña to handle as she was a powerhouse like Opal, the dragon was also subdued for the moment, or at least it was hurting.
The second halberd Opal tossed quickly neared her target, just as his hand rose and it stopped mid air. From behind her back, Opal tossed her hidden weapon, a katana forged from silver dust just like her halberd, and tossed it underhand.
Arcangels hand dropped to the hilt of his weapon and in a blue flash he cut through the katana from tip to hilt like butter and it flew past him harmlessly. Opal landed on a knee and a fist, a quick glance behind her and she seen Piña land in a roll and get to work on the Shadow Guards, Armani was zipping around offering support to her, blasting away targets with a dust rifle.
Opal stood and slowly grabbed her final halberd off her back and bowed her head slightly and pointed her halberd towards her foe. Arcangel lifted his hand again in Opals direction and she instantly felt her weight increase ten thousand fold. This time however, Opal stood her ground with her weapon still straight out and aimed at Arcangel, he grinned at her.
"This is a pleasent surprise."
"I will never bow to the forces of Evil. For your crimes and the murder of the Queen of Mistral, you will answer to Judgement."
"I had a feeling I'd see you again child, not who I was hoping for, but you will help me kill some time. Looks like you may bring me some enjoyment." He took a deep breath, "You are strong little girl, I'll be sure not to destroy you completely so I can make you my newest disciple."
"That won't be the only thing I'll be killing. All of Mistral sends their regards to your quick death. Now," Opal jammed the end of her weapon into the giant Grimm she was standing on, causing it to rumble and cry out. "let us begin. Also, I'm not little and I'll never join you."
"Very well I shall enjoy this, and I'll make this as painful as possible..." Opal took a deep breath, and charged towards him. His hand dropped and fell to his odachi as she neared him and he brought out it's full length as she brought it down to cleave him.
Her halbred clashed on his long sword, creating an enormous shock wave as he literally sunk a foot deep into the Grimms back on which he was standing, but he still held his sword up, strong and firm.
"Impressive. Now it's my turn."
PIÑA COLADA: (On top of giant Grimm dragon...)
"Die! Die! Die! Die!" With each word and each two piece to their faces, Piña Co Lada shattered the Shadow Guards to tiny rocks and pebbles. "Get the hell out of my way fuck nuts!!" One by one, two by two, she took them out as she made towards the front of the Dragon, it's head. Even with the giant hole now in it's body, somehow it maintained flight.
Ducking, dodging and weaving to avoid sword missiles as she charged, Piña reached out and grabbed one as it neared her face, flung it back towards it's owner, and used her new void dust weaved fighting gloves to smash the next void katana to pieces with nothing but a punch.
"Taste of your own medicine you weak little shits!" On one knee Piña sprung in the air, and came soaring down with a two piece to one Guards face, rolled away as she kicked out and shattered two more Guards knees. Everything she touched, it all turned to stone, at least if she willed it.
All at once, a group of at least 30 Shadow Guards dropped from thin air and surrounded her, all florishing dual black katanas, this time waiting for her to make a move instead of jumping her or shooting swords at her.
"I didn't think you fucks had a brain." Piña spit and wiped her mouth off, dug into her skirt pocket and pulled out a stick of gum. "Mouth was getting dry." Two of the Guards in front looked at eachother and shrugged, then twirled their weapons to taunt her. Piña popped the stick of gum in her mouth then flicked the wrapper towards a Guard. He didn't move a muscle or break eye contact as it hit the side of his robe, those glowing red eyes glaring at her.
"Good good, eyes right here jawa boy." She pulled a small notepad out from her pocket and ripped out three sheets of paper. She spit in both hands, and began turn the paper into stone and grind it into dust. "Opal might get pissed if I do this, but fuck Opal. That Almighty prick. This is for that BS back in front of your pet bird. Also, fuck these guys too." Piña tossed the dust high into the air and it began to disperse and snow all around her, landing on each of the Shadow Guards as well. Not only did they began to turn to stone one by one, the dust that hit the floor, or back of the Grimm dragon, began to turn into stone as well and spread, eventually it would have spread throughout the entire creature had she not jumped just as Armani fired more red dust grenades from above around her, blowing up and shattering all that she had turned to stone.
"You know Opal would be pissed you almost turned Vale into stone." Armani commented overhead, still on his hover board with Linen passed out and strapped on his back.
"Don't be dramatic." She waved him off as she landed back on top of the screaming Grimm dragon and gave it a sharp kick. "Make sure our fearless leader doesn't die, I'll finish this up."
"Don't be reckless." He commented,
"Are you really telling me that?"
"I suppose your right, it's pointless."
"You know this. Besides, it's your job to clean up my messes as usual." Piña gave him another lazy wave as she charged forward towards a small hill, and a large narrow like bridge that was the back of it's neck up towards the top of it's head as the horizon came into view and the wind all around her. "What a beautiful sight, time to blow some shit up." By now, she was atop of the massive head structure of the creature, wondering if after all the destruction she put on it already, would blowing it's head up really make that much of a difference. Thanks to Linen it was all but armorless, but it was still pretty solid.
Taking a deep breath, Piña focused her aura to her left fist and slammed it down onto the back of the creatures head, then she thought about what she was doing. If she was to destroy it's head, the rest of the body would no doubt fall to the city, and this stable platform they were able to fight Arcangel on would be ruined...
"Fuck it." Piña focused more and extended her aura and will through out her body, into her fist and beyond. The surface she was standing on began to rumble and shudder, just as giant stone spikes shot out from all directions from inside the creatures head. It let out a ear piercing cry before it rumbled again, then Piña felt the odd sensation of her stomach rising towards her throat, it was done. She brought her fist into the air, then slammed it back down and it's massive head shattered into a billion harmless peebles.
The front of the creature started to dip forward as it began it's fall to the ground, but slowly started to evaporate into dust and ash. "That's that, what's next..."
ARMANI ONIX:
Zipping away from the dragon, he could see it was now starting to angle down and slowly plummet while evaporating at the same time. Hopefully it would fully dissolve before it hit the city below.
Opal and Arcangel we're still locked in a fierce battle, one that looked like it would last for days. As far as he could tell, Arcangel was far more skilled than Opal, however, Opals raw strength gave her the much needed edge to keep them on equal footing.
Opal thrust her halberd forward and Arcangel front flipped over it and landed on top of it. She then heaved and lifted it into the air, sending him soaring skywards. Opal threw her weapon after him and he went to block, but a red flash streaked past Opal in the way of his long black and blue sword, and collided with Piñas fist and her void dust fighting gloves. They both froze in place for exactly one second, before the impact blasted Piña back down towards Opal, but she had already achieved her goal.
Rory, Opals halberd slammed into Arcangels chest and blasted his skyward even faster. Armani took the opportunity to pull another red nova marble from his pocket and accelerated it towards him, aimed his rifle, and fired.
*BANG!*
Arcangel glanced at the red marble right as Armani's shot hit it, and a large bright orange explosion enveloped him. Back towards Opal who had her arm out as Piña came back down and yanked her from the air, placing her back onto her feet. Armani soared near them and looked up at the large ball of flames and smoke.
"Did we get him?" Piña asked,
"You should know better than that." Opal replied.
"Indeed. Not a bad attempt however, but futile." A voice boomed from within the smoke, then a flash of blue shot out towards them. Piña leapt towards it and tried to punch through the beam, but it crashed against then through her, her body flashing green as it did so. That one attack shredded her aura and came crashing down against Opal who put her arms up to brace herself. Opal flashed green as well as the beam passed through her and neatly flashed through the already dead and falling dragon, splitting it in half.
Armani soared down towards Piña first, grabbing her mid air then made his way over to Opal.
"You need to lay off the chips." He commented,
"Shut it."
"Maybe we should have waited for JNPR to arrive before engaging this monster."
"Wait, you were the one gun ho ans anxious to get out and fight him, now you say we should have waited? Make up your mind lady killer." Piña retorted.
"Just saying, that or we need to get serious. But before that, I think we should abandon ship now, it's body won't last much longer especially with the fight thats about to go down." He said,
"I agree." Opal replied,
"Do you get it now children? You stand zero chance against me." Arcangel boomed from above, slowly floating down towards them.
"What, this fucker can fly? Pftt." Piña spat out,
"Wake Linen up, we need her now." Opal ordered.
"Sure." Armani responded by pulling out a yellow glowing piece of candy, turned around and put it into Linens mouth. After three heart beats her eyes shot open.
"Hey! Ermmm..." She rubbed at her head, "Did we win?"
"Not quite, Piña and Opal need a charge." Armani said softly, knowing she must have a pounding headache.
"Kay!" Linen reached out and grabbed both Opals and Piñas shoulders and let out a big kiss, "MUAHZ!" Her hands glowed white and Opal and Piña flashed green again as their auras were restored. "I got lots from the dragon ya know?!"
"We're going to need you to take his away as well. I have a feeling it will put you out for awhile however."
"Hmm, ya! He has way more aura than the dragon, but if you need to force me to wake up again have at it, no way I can sit this one out ya know!? I can never turn you down Opal."
"Good. Then get ready, we're in for the long run now, and this is just getting started."...
(Epilogue)
HERO: (Somewhere in Vale...)
Hero flexed and shrugged off his stark white outer robes, leaving nothing but a white T-shirt with his standard chrome bracers around his arms. White slacks, chrome anklets, and his white combat boots, the entire ensemble provided by his father from his earlier days as his servant, his tool.
From the wind, he could feel his shaggy hair swaying, tickling the back of his neck. It had been some time since he cut his hair, and he kinda liked the length. Both of his custom katana swords hung from his belt clips, Sunder, the katana forged of black void dust hung to his left, and Thunder, the katana forged with black and yellow dust hung from his right, both also products from his father.
To his left stood Robin, his younger sister and his world. Before in front of their father they stood at odds, but now they acted as one. She used to have long crimson twin tails that neared her ankles, but now she had short cropped hair that barely touched the tops of her shoulders. Her pale white skin matched his, and really brought out the scar across her face that ran from the top of her left eye, down across her nose and ended on her right cheek. Even with this major blemish, she was still stunning with her high cheek bones and soft features.
Just like him, she shook off her red outer robes, leaving a black China style long sleeve shirt underneath. Also like him, she wore black void bracers over her wrists and ankles, her hands resting firmly on both of her own katana swords. The left one was a forged black blade like his, the right one was mixed with black void dust and red fire dust, Bandon and Fira respectively. Her gaze and focus was directly ahead.
It had been a little over five years since he came face to face with him, and like all times, his presence was overwhelming, commanding and imtimadating.
"You do know all of your efforts are futile, do you not? There is nothing you can do to harm me, nor stop the destruction at hand." Ahead of Hero about 50 feet stood his father, his creator, The Master of Time and Space or, Lord Baal. Towering at a whopping 21 feet tall, his robbed and hooded figure gazed down at Hero, burning red eyes glaring through him, making Hero gulp and shiver slightly. Each hand was at least the size of his body.
At the moment he was wearing a large black robe, concealing his built figure with his hood up as well and only his blazing red eyes on display. Similar in look to a shadow guard, only three times as big and intimidating. He also had pale grey skin with thick pulsing black veins.
"I see you didn't bring back up," Hero mentioned, "are they all too busy to help you?"
"Help me? I see you've picked up a sense of humor. Do you think I really need it?" Father said firmly,
"I wouldn't be so quick to write us off that easily."
"Indeed, but even so. I made you, I am still your master, boy. You are both my children, my creations. I brought you into this world, and I'll take you out as well." His red glare turned onto Robin, "I expected so much more from you Robin. You had such great potential, what a waste and disappointment."
"You led me to believe I was special, you led me to-"
"NO." Father called out, cutting off her reply and instantly silencing her. "You WERE special, I was grooming you to rival Arcangel and command my forces. Make no mistake, if you didn't betray me as you did, I would have given you the rank of Lord Commander, and it would have been you riding in on the back of one of my Grimm beasts to lay ruin to this pitiful excuse of a Kingdom. You would have had limitless and unlimited power, every insect here would have bowed to you, as a god among mere mortals. But you never were able to master patience, that is your weakness. You are strong, but you are dumb and naive." His eyes flickered back towards Hero, "It was Stark and Raven who corrupted you, and for that they will die, I promise you that. I will show mercy no longer. Today will be your last." He glanced at Robin, "Your last as well."
"Well then," Hero slid Sunder out of it's sheath, the black sharp tip aiming for his father's throat. "There's no point in talking and wasting time is there? Shall we?" Robin mirrored his gesture and nodded,
"I've waited a long long time for this moment." She sneered, "Together, brother."
In the next instant, they charged...
Hero moved with all his power, moving faster then the eye can pick up, purposely shot both blades into the air as he neared father and turned it into a front flip and soared over him, pressing his attack with a few slashes as he landed. He felt his blades connect as he landed. He spun around to face father, who now had his back turned to him. Father slowly turned to face him, wearing a clear grin.
"That it?"
"Tch..." Hero charged head on again and leapt into a downward slash with Sunder, and followed up with Thunder on a back swing. Over and over his blades crashed against father, as he stood there and took it. On his final slash, Hero jumped back, his focus and eyes trained on father.
"Do you get it now? You can't hurt me with such puny attacks." Father reached his hand out as Hero felt a crushing weight wrap around his throat as he was lifted into the air. Behind father, Robin was up and about to make her move, this fight was far from over, and it would be the hardest of his life...
RUBY ROSE: (Bullhead above Vale...)
"Are you, sure about this Ruby?" Her long time best friend and partner Weiss asked her, but Ruby had no answer. She continued to look over the top of the giant Grimm Dragon, and the one lone white robbed figure standing on it's back, her long lost mother.
"We're here for you Ruby, no matter how you want to play this." Blake firmly squeezed her shoulder offering her support.
Ruby glanced over at Yang who eyes we're blazing red and her brows furrowed in confusion, concentration, and anger. Like Ruby, she was speechless. They understood what Ozpin had told them, yet they could still not believe it with their own eyes. How such a noble and honorable Huntress could fall so far, it was insane. How was it even possible?
Despite it all, Ruby knew one thing. No matter who it was down there, they were the enemy. She was now mature enough to be able to tell friend from foe, no matter what. She knew this would be hard, maybe the hardest moment in her entire life, but it was also right. This had to happen, Ruby had to be the one. Ozpin was right, if someone else had been sent here she would have never forgiven him. For better or worse, this would give her a sense of closure she had been seeking her entire life.
Ruby cleared her throat and pointed down towards the beast,
"Ladybug, freezerburn, let's go!" And she leapt down wasting no time, Blake right on her heels, Yang and Weiss following close behind...
