You ever get that weight upon your shoulders at a task that you must commit to with an overwhelming fear of disappointment and failure?

Yeah, kinda stressing through that right now cause this coming arc is gonna be one of my most ambitious due to how long I intend it to be. Just forewarning you, it will span quite a damn while though I am unclear as to how long but I'm going to let the story progress naturally. I'm gonna put a lot effort into this one cause I've done a lot of research going into it, not just from the God Of Wars take on Norse Mythology but the many original stories that come from this ancient pantheon.

And since there's a great deal of stories and text left up to interpretation, I shall be forging my own mythos and path. And the original texts and stories will be used in this arc but in a unique way.

It's also why I stepped away from this story for a while, focus on some of my other work Avengers Infinite Wars. I needed time off from this mammoth undertaking and really educate myself on Norse Mythology to really have a much clearer idea as to how this large arc will go about.

Also, let's get this thing clear. Kratos and Atreus WILL NOT SHOW UP IN THIS STORY BECAUSE IN CONTEXT THAT WILL MAKE NO SENSE. I've thought long and hard about this(Not really, decided right away) and have deemed them an unnecessary element to this arc and to the plot overall. I know it sounds disappointing to some of the reviews I've seen hoping for this but I've stated this in previous chapters leading up to this arc and I'm saying it for the last time. No Kratos and Atreus.

This is while at first has been Nathan's Journey is also gonna start stepping into the direction of the teams journey as well to become the Justice League's successors.

And one last thing. Duh, Master Chief will eventually enter into the story but that time is not now.

Noble Justice Chapter 38: Go To The Land Of The Ice And Snow

Nathan's Residence February 9th 2011 12:00

Nathan, Spartan-B312, Noble 6 of Noble team can say that he has lived one of the hardest most unusually stressful lives that a select number of people can endure.

And he was only just turning 20 this year… he thinks. He doesn't even remember his own birthdate up to this point. All he know that it's in the winter and he's turning 20.

After arriving in this universe of superheroes and villains, Six's life took a nosedive into the madness and insanity of what is basically every fiction story ever told.

Which is why he stood at the front door of his house staring at two dwarves who had apparently tracked him down in the hopes of preventing Ragnarok.

If his history lessons back in training taught him anything, last he recalled, Ragnarok was the fabled end of the mythic Norse gods followed by ancient Germanic and Norwegian tribes. And these dwarves were here to stop it by coming to him apparently.

And he thought the Greek Pantheon being real was a stretch. However after his foray into Hell, acquiring magical items, meeting an organization literally devoted to tackling magical and supernatural threats Six had honestly begun to give up doubt and just take things at face value by this point. Headache included.

"I'm sorry, care to repeat that?" Nathan asked in an oh-so calm voice.

"What're ya, fukin' Deaf or somethin'" Brok, the blue dwarf grumbled hobbling forward. "Listen, some crazy shit's about to go down in the nine realms and Midgard here's the center point of it all. It's why Queen Freya figured this place be the best hope of saving the nine."

"Brok, for Freya's sake will you stop being so rude to this gentlemen?" the paler brother Sindri admonished.

"What? Would ye rather I had beatin 'round the bush like that one eyed cyclops Odin?" Brok countered.

"Excuse me." Nathan spoke up with a stoic forcefulness. "Can you two pardon me for one moment?"

"By all means, take your time." Sindri said pleasantly whilst Brok only rolled his eyes, nodding that he didn't care.

"Thank you." Nathan said, closing the door behind to face Cortana who was staring at him in complete and utter bewilderment.

Both then heard light footsteps and Dot had entered in her own body, looking between Cortana and Nathan.

"Guys, what's going on?" Dot inquired. "My sensors picked up…"

"There are two dwarves standing outside our house and they came to ask me to prevent Ragnarok." Six bluntly interrupted Dot, thumbing behind him to the door.

Dot opened her mouth several times, her processors actually taking a moment to… process… what Nathan had just said.

"Pardon?" Was Dot's response.

"Dwarves." Cortana repeated. "Outside our home. And yes it's as weird as it sounds."

Dot tilted her head, choosing to walk over to the front door and opened it to see that Brok and Sindri were patiently waiting there. Well, Sindri was at the very least.

Upon seeing Dot in her synthetic body, Sindri gasped while Brok whistled, both in amazement.

"Shit, who made you?" Brok asked aloud with blatant interest.

"The material is unlike anything I have ever seen." Sindri said in wonder, eyes squinting at her form. "You're a marvel!"

"That metal definitely ain't from Midgard or any of the other realms that I know of." Brok said, squinting his eyes and scratching his beard to get a closer look at Dot.

'Is this what it's like to be self-consciousness?' Dot internally asked, having a sudden need to cover herself up. Granted, she and Cortana had taken to wearing clothes over their synthetic bodies but this was certainly a first.

"Um, hello." Dot tentatively greeted. "Mind telling me who you are? Not to sound rude or anything."

"Can we first come inside please?" Sindri asked politely. "It is getting a bit cold for us."

Dot blinked, feeling a bit unsure but seeing that thus far they had displayed no hostile intentions and the fact that apparently they came here for help means they currently hold no ill will towards her and her friends.

Stepping back, Dot gestured for the two to enter with Sindri giving her an appreciative smile while Brok grumbled a small 'Thanks'.

Stepping in, both dwarves spotted Nathan once again and standing beside him was a weary Cortana.

"Sweet fucking sloshers!" Brok exclaimed in awe. "Two in one house?! And this place reeks of foreign magic! We hit the jackpot here brother."

Nathan narrowed his eyes at Brok's mention of 'foreign magic'. Was he talking about Donna? Or his weaponry?

"Got some coming off of you as well." Sindri noted, eyeing Nathan with great fascination now.

"Nathan?" A soft voice said from behind.

All eyes turned to the brunette who had now walked into the living room, wearing one of Nathan's large shirts that went down to her thighs.

"An Amazon!" Sindri said aloud, wide-eyed and slack jawed. "It's an actual Amazon! Brok, can you believe it?!"

"She must be royalty to!" Brok exclaimed, hobbling over to her.

"Dwarves?" Donna murmured in slight surprise, gazing down at the blue one who looked up at her with great reverence.

"You know I've always heard 'bout you Amazons being pretty en all but yer far more than those passing words back in Asgard from the winged ladies." Brok went on, now walking around her to inspect her. "You got untapped power radiating off ya lady and I definitely wanna help."

"Brok." Sindri said irritably now. "Can you not be so rude? We are guests here and we've come seeking help not ogling at Amazons."

The blue dwarf actually appeared sheepish this time, scratching his bald head and giving Donna an apologetic look.

"Right, right, my bad didn't mean to get ya'll scuffled or anything like that." Brok said earnestly.

"Don't worry about it." Donna said, unsure of how exactly to respond to all this. This was certainly not the morning she was expecting to wake up to. She was a little embarrassed to say this to herself but last night wore her out more than she cared to admit. It was amazing.

Fighting down a blush at the memory, she walked over to Nathan her expression silently asking as to what is going on. In turn, her Spartan merely gestured his head for the both of them to sit down and hear these two dwarves out.

"Care to have a seat?" Nathan politely offered, his hand directing them to the two spare lounge chairs he had.

"Thank you, that is most appreciated." Sindri said with a happy smile while Brok merely nodded in thanks.

Dot and Cortana in the meantime stared at both dwarves in complete and utter bewilderment along with blatant curiosity.

As soon as they were seated, Brok immediately went off into a tangent. "Long story short, some crazy shits been going around back home in Asgard and the rest of the nine realms. Odin is acting fucken crazier and scared than usual, Baldur's gone apeshit, Tyr and Thor are a no show and Loki is acting all sneaky like more so than usual."

He was met with silence as all the three UNSC personnel and one Amazon stared at him with blank, unmoving faces.

"That explained absolutely nothing." Cortana spoke up, voicing the same thought they all shared.

"Brok, that's not helpful at all." Sindri said, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

"What do you want me to do?" Brok said in a slightly affronted manner. "We're burning daylight here and things back home aren't getting any better."

"Then just start from the beginning." Dot said kindly. "Shortened details here and there but overall to at least give us an idea as to why you're here."

'Gladly." Sindri said with an appreciative smile, getting a bit more comfortable in his seat as he knows this will be a long story.

"So, during the birth of our civilization, our pantheon." Sindri spoke in a tone of a narrator. "With every beginning, there will always come the eventual end. From Ginnungagap, the great void, to our twilight, Ragnarok."

"After Ymir, the first giant was slain by that one eyed fucker Odin, Yggdrasil was born and with it all nine realms within our mythos." Brok went on. "War and all that shit that comes with making a new kingdom."

"Along with the many prophecies that come with the birth of a new pantheon." Sindri said…

Only for Donna to interrupt with… "And it's eventual end."

"That's right." Sindri praised. "My word, I can't stress how truly wonderful and a great honor it is in meeting an Amazon."

"Er….Thanks." Donna said, unsure still of how to regard these dwarves.

"So let me get this straight." Cortana said, eyeing both dwarves. "You two dwarves from the Norse, Scandinavian pantheon had come all this way to our cabin in upstate New York to prevent the coming of Ragnarok."

"Don't see why we need ta repeat all that to ya." Brok sniffed.

"Cause in case you don't know what's been going on here, we've been dealing with our fair share of madness." Cortana wryly stated.

"We've noticed… somewhat." Sindri responded sheepishly. "We haven't been to Midgard in a few centuries. In fact most of the other realms haven't been to Midgard. It's kind of strange in hindsight now that I say it aloud."

"You aren't the only ones." Donna said aloud. "Aside from myself, my sister and Ares, the God of Olympus haven't walked on earth in a near millennia. They're quite disconnected from this world, more so then I last regarded them."

That actually bewildered the trio from another universe but they filed questions pertaining to that topic for another time. Right now, these two dwarves are the focus of this conversation.

"So why us exactly?" Six asked, eyeing both Sindri and Brok. "We have no connection to your pantheon, no knowledge of how things are governed or dealt with in terms of your attitude to Earth. All we have are stories of your pantheon and even those are just myths and legends."

"You have stories?" Brok inquired. "About us?"

Now that truly threw off all of them.

"What do you mean?" Dot said. "Of course we do. We have stories, scriptures, books and all forms of other media on practically every pantheon ever worshipped by humanity."

"You do?" Sindri asked in astonishment.

"Jesus, how do you guys not know about this?" Cortana said in disbelief. "Just how disconnected have you guys been?"

"A lot more then we realized." Brok murmured to himself, scratching his chin.

"Yeah sure feels like it." Dot said. "From our myths and stories, since we were talking about Ragnarok, The Norse gods beginning of the end starts with the death of Baldur the Beloved."

"WHAT?!" Sindri exclaimed aghast at such news.

Brok started coughing and hacking. "The Fuck you mean The Beloved. Baldur's a fucken right asshole through and through. The son of a bitch is Odin's best tracker and he's a rotten asshole to the core."

"It's a wonder how he's Freya's son." Sindri murmured, still in shock.

"Huh? Wait what?" Cortana was now thoroughly in the dark. "So we were wrong?"

"Makes me wonder what else you have on us." Brok said. "Probably full of crappy mumbo jumbo shit to."

"Excuse me." Donna cut in, eyeing the two dwarves with slight excitement. "This Freya you mentioned. This wouldn't happen to be the Goddess Freya? Goddess of nature, Knowledge and queen of the legendary Valkyries?"

"You know 'bout her?" Brok asked.

"She is one of great reverence on my home of Themyscira." Donna said with a bit of child like glee. "Mother always spoke highly of her, saying that she had a near unmatched warrior spirit with a beautiful disposition and compassion to all things."

"Not to interrupt or anything, but can we get back to what we were talking about before Donna here went fangirl on you two." Cortana dryly stated.

"That seems like a wonderful idea." Sindri agreed.

"Then let's take this downstairs." Six announced, much to the surprise of the others.

"Nathan, you sure about this?" Dot asked.

"They came to us for help." Six said, eyeing both dwarves analytically. "The least we could do is hear them out."

"Well at least yer not as rude as most fuckers we met." Brok stated with a crooked grin.

"Yes…" Sindri groaned, running his gloved hand down his face while giving his brother a side glare. "Certainly not rude like most people."

"Follow me." Nathan said, heading off to their HQ below with Brok and Sindri looking at one another before hopping off their seats and quickly following after the Spartan leaving three very confused ladies.

"You know, I've only been here for a short time but this takes the cake." Cortana dryly stated. "And I already feel like I'll be eating my own words in a short time."

"This is nothing really." Dot said sheepishly.

"Not even close." Donna remarked, getting up to follow after her boyfriend and the dwarves. Dot walked after her a moment later making Cortana hang her head in defeat.

She remained there for several moments until…

"Whelp." Cortana sprung up, chipper tone in place. "Can't miss out on the fun now, can I?"

Down in the HQ of the Spartan Super Soldier, both Brok and Sindri were gazing around the base in complete awe and wonder.

"Bless my scrote." Brok murmured. "I ain't even seen metal like these'ns before."

"Where did you get some of these?" Sindri asked. "They all looks so clean and pristine."

"Story for another time." Six waved off, calling upon his armor which materialized around him. "Right now, you need to explain in full why you think I can help the both of you in preventing this whole Ragnarok business."

The response he got were the Holder brothers eyes both widening at the sight of the armored Spartan with Brok hobbling over to him, Six's previous statement all but ignored.

"This… is a fucking work of art." Brok said reverently, giving the armor a sniff. "There's magic on this thing though. Not part of the original design I take it?"

"I've been dealing with some magic threats." Six plainly stated.

"There's a great deal of it." Sindri noted, inspecting his armor at a respectable distance. "Archaic, chaotic and old in nature. You've held magical items before, haven't you?"

Nathan couldn't help but be a bit impressed with Sindri's astute observation and guess. These two must be extremely skilled within their line of work and being able to deduce such a thing.

Brok suddenly tilted his head, taking a whiff of the air again.

"This place reeks of foreign magic too." Brok pointed out, primarily to his brother.

"Huh?" Sindri paused, sniffing the air as well. "You're right. Nathan, was it? Do you have magical items here with you?"

Nathan gave them both a hard stare before wordlessly turning his head in the direction of one of his most recent acquisitions.

Brok and Sindri followed his line of sight and both had their jaws drop at what they were looking at.

"Is that what I think it is?!" Brok nearly ran over to the large oversized sword that was currently resting upon its respective table. "I'd recognize that hunk of raw iron anywhere."

"To think…" Sindri's eyes trailed back and forth at the gargantuan blade before him. "Godot actually pulled it off, the old hermit."

"You know what this is?" Six inquired, now standing beside Sindri who nodded.

"I'd know this weapon anywhere." Sindri said in disbelief and amazement. "It was never made when I last spoke with the old Hermit Smith Godot but he was ambitious in crafting a weapon fit for only the greatest warriors. Made from the strongest metals of earth and cooled by the blood of a willing dragon. It was meant to be wielded by men, but it was too large and heavy to be used."

At this point, Donna, Dot and Cortana had entered the cave base whilst Sindri continued to speak on the large sword.

"And I gotta say, that blood smell hasn't diminished even after so many centuries." Brok said, walking around the sword in inspection.

"So who made it then?" Six asked. "Does it have any other magical properties?"

"Hey Six." Dot approached the trio with Cortana and Donna. "What are you guys talking about now?"

"They know about this sword." Six stated.

"Really?" Cortana perked up. "You know about gargantuar here?"

Brok snorted at Cortana's question. "Appropriate name all things considered. Nah, this beauty has 'nother name given by its maker. This here baby is called, Dragonslayer."

A momentary pause of silence.

"Dragonslayer eh?" Cortana mused. "So… does it live up to its namesake or something?"

"Funny enough, this thing has only ever killed one dragon." Sindri said before grimacing at the thought of it. "It was forged by using some dragon blood but that was because the dragon willingly gave it to the Hermit Godot. He's the one who made the blade."

"So aside from it being made to kill dragons, what else can it do?" Dot inquired, analyzing the sword for anything that may be hidden that she couldn't see before.

"Oh, it's actually…" Sindri started out excitedly before gagging at his next set of words and thoughts. "Dragonslayer is *Hurk* Dragon…. Slayer… is…"

"Ah will you shut up, ya fucken pansy." Brok rudely said to his brother, only this time Sindri nodded in agreement seemingly holding back vomit.

"What's got him all worked up?" Cortana asked in bewilderment.

"My brother here is uh…the fuck is that fancy shmancy word called again? The one about haten and bein scared 'a dirt or grime?"

"Germaphobe?" Dot offered.

"Yeah, what-the-fuck-ever, that." Brok went along with it. "This here dummy met some wood's witch from Vanaheim a few centuries back and now is scared of touching anything with his bare hands now."

"Wait, aren't you guys blacksmiths?" Dot asked. "Doesn't that interfere with you work?"

"That's what I keep telling fairy here but he ain't budging on his ways." Brok grunted, looking back up at Six. "Anyway, you asked if there's anything else special bout this here hunk of rock, right?"

Nathan only nodded.

"Well yer in luck then, ya big giant." Brok grinned. "The last tall fucker who used Dragonslayer was a fucking beast of a man. He killed so many demonic dipshits, and other magic and mystic fuckers that it coated this entire sword in blood. Magic blood. Dragonslayer here can hurt any kind of supernatural, or magic fuckers without question. Bastard killed thousands, probably millions."

Six's gaze shifted onto that of the now named blade called Dragonslayer. He gave it a long hard stare, eye twitching at what he saw.

There was something emanating from the sword. Like the time he first saw it down and hell and apparently, Donna and Constantine spoke of seeing something similar.

"Um…"

All heads turned to the lone Amazon who jolted a bit at the synchronized response to her speaking up.

Clearing her throat, she looked to the two dwarves with a stern expression.

"Not to sound confrontational or anything like that, but we still don't know why you came to us to stop this whole… Ragnarok business you spoke of." Donna said.

"This does seem a bit above our pay…" Cortana paused. "Well… stopping extinction or world ending events isn't exactly out of the norm for a Spartan."

"Do gods, monsters and alternate planes of existence count?" Dot wryly asked.

Cortana contemplated for a second, opening her mouth to answer.

"Really Cortana? You weren't supposed to answer that." Dot said exasperatedly.

"Sorry." Cortana said sheepishly.

"Well isn't this adorable." Brok sneered. "But whilst yer all debating on who does what er whether er not you slowpokes do anything, our fucking realms are headed for our end time with a loony Odin in charge of it all."

"Brok." Sindri reprimanded. "Honestly, what is with you?"

The blue skinned dwarf only grumbled incoherently, crossing his arms and looking away.

"Listen." Sindri began politely and genuinely. "My brother and I are truly sorry to do this to you all, it was never our intention to impede upon. In fact, up until a few days ago neither of us even knew you guys existed."

"So why come to us in the first place?" Six asked. "How did you find us to begin with?"

"That's a bit of a strange one to explain." Sindri remarked, stroking his beard. "See, it was the lady Freya, the Vanir Goddess who sent us on this mission. It was apparently after speaking with an unusually dressed man with a cane who delivered this to her."

Sindri held up a bullet.

A bullet that was all too familiar to the UNSC personnel.

"That's one of ours." Dot said aloud in surprise.

"How'd you get your hands on this?" Cortana asked in slight alarm, taking the bullet out of Sindri's hand.

"Freya got it from some gaunt lookin' fucker who looked like he was dead or some shit." Brok stated, sounding uncomfortable at the mention of the man.

"You saw him brother?" Sindri asked, surprised to hear this.

"Sure did, the boney cheeked fucker." Brok murmured, squirming a bit now. "He had a real… old type smell to him. Like really old. Primordial type shit, older then Odin himself."

The whole while, Six stared intently at Brok, something the blue dwarf noticed at last.

"What?" Brok spoke up, giving Nathan a look. "What's got yer gander up?"

"Nathan?" Donna was beside her lover in concern.

"This man…" Nathan said slowly. "Was he sporting a ring? A pearl white ring, slicked back hair and a long coat that went with his cane?"

Brok squinted his eyes in suspicion at Six. "You know who it is, don't ya?"

Nathan only nodded grimly, a solemn expression on display now.

"Your goddess Freya had spoken with one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse." Six informed the dwarves. "Death."

Both Dwarves went bug-eyed and slack jawed, an action similarly shared with Donna and the two AI's.

Dot groaned a moment later, making a whining sound as she made the best face possible to convey despair.

"That's not fair. Why'd you have to encounter another Horsemen already?"

"A Horse man of the Apocalypse." Cortana whispered, rubbing the metallic sides of her temple. "This is unreal."

"Wait, Nathan." Donna spoke cautiously. "You encountered the Horse man of Death before, didn't you? You knew who he was when Brok spoke about him."

Nathan let out a tired sigh. "I quite literally met him yesterday. No…the day before that. When I woke back up from my rest. Back in Central Park."

"Well shit…" Brok was scratching his scraggly beard, eyes still wide at the thought of the Horsemen. "The Horse Man of death you say? That fuckers older than Odin."

"This is much more serious than we had anticipated." Sindri gravely stated. "Spartan sir, where was it that you had met with the Horse man of Death?"

"Central Park." Six answered.

"Is it too much to ask that you take us there to investigate?" Sindri asked. "We may be able to divulge answers for all our sakes."

Six momentarily contemplated the offer, nodding several seconds afterwards.

"Let's go." Six said, already prepared since he was in armor.

"Don't forget about me." Donna said, rolling her wrists. Her wrist bracers formed, making Donna clang them together. With a burst of light and power, Donna stood before them in her Super Suit, though with some changes.

She still retain the skin tight black suit that covered most of her body from the neck down save for her arms and head. Yet the black body suit now seemed to have a new feature. Small white dots that glimmered like stars in the night sky were present now. As a matter of fact, her entire black suit now resembled more of the night sky then anything else.

However, something that caught his attention was the metal strap around Donna's right bicep. At its center was the W emblem that was shared between herself and her older sister, Diana. But the W was not his focus.

It was what was behind the W emblem. A familiar triangle with a symbol before it often resembling an eagle. Along with the roman numeral 6 in the center of the triangle.

'Well ain't she just a dear.' Nathan internally thought, finding her newest little feature to her suit a bit more amusing then he thought.

Catching Dot's eye, her grin directed at him while also making a quick side-eye gesture to Donna signified that she noticed it as well.

Now he knew he wasn't gonna hear the end of it.

But right now, he had other priorities on hand right now.

Pulling out a teleportation cube, Dot and Cortana stepped out of the range and left copies of themselves behind to man the base while they entered Six's empty AI chips within his helmet.

"You two will want to step a bit closer and brace yourself." Six instructed the two dwarves.

"Uh, what exactly are you doing, good sir?" Sindri tentatively asked.

"We're teleporting to the location of where I had met with Death." Six stated.

"Oh, so you got yer own way of doing it?" Brok asked.

"More or less." Cortana answered. "Why? You have your own?"

"Cortana." Nathan gave her a look.

"Right." Cortana nudged the side of her head in self-admonishment. "Another time."

Six squeezed the cube/sphere and it glowed a bright orange color. Dropping it a second later, the ball bounced upon the floor before levitating up from the ground while shooting out to encompass the four occupants within its transportation dome.

In a flash of orange, they were gone.

Central Park, Manhattan.

It was a cool and pleasant wintery day in the city that never sleeps with a blanket of snow covering the ground. Snow lightly drifted down whilst the people of Manhattan from its locals to their tourists went about their daily lives and business.

That of course was momentarily thrown off by the abrupt orange flash and appearance of two of the city's most prominent defenders being accompanied by two dwarves.

Many blinked with a few tourists snapping quick pictures.

Others began murmuring nervously at their arrival, hoping it wasn't anything serious.

"Go about your business, everyone." Noble Six said aloud. "This is an investigation, nothing more."

"No harm will come towards any of you." Wonder Girl assured.

Most of Manhattan's inhabitants took it in stride, returning to their own personal matters while the tourists couldn't help but snap a few more pictures.

Ignoring them, Six directed the dwarf brothers over to where he had met the Horse Man of Death.

"It's over by this bench right here."

"Here?" Brok grumbled out, walking over to the bench with his nose scrunching up. "Well fuck me sideways, he was here."

"Urgh." Sindri's own nose crinkled up. "By Freya's spirit, that is some raw primordial power. Definitely Death if what you say is true."

"It's Death alright." Donna stated firmly, grim face and all. She looked to Six, "looking" past his polarized visor. "The air here? Exactly like the one's Famine and War have left behind. Only it's stronger."

"War and Famine?" Sindri repeated anxiously. "Are you referring to the other Horsemen?"

"They've been making themselves actively present the past few months." Six said stoically, giving Sindri a hard stare.

Squirming a bit from the Spartan's gaze, Sindri turned from one intense look to another intense look courtesy of his brother.

"Brok?"

"Somethin' ain't right here." Brok said lowly. "I could feel it in my scrote."

Donna couldn't help but blink at Brok's choice of words. That was… a unique way of saying that something felt off.

"There's… something else in this here park of yers." Brok went on, sniffing the air.

"Like what?" Dot spoke through the Helmet speakers.

"And where else?" Donna asked.

Screams were heard from behind them, making both Wonder Girl and Six turn towards the commotion.

"Well, like over there for starters." Brok dryly remarked, pointing over in the direction of more panicked shouting and yells.

Not waiting for any further encouragement or comments, Wonder Girl and Six sprinted forward.

Wonder Girl levitated up into the air, taking a lead ahead of Six while brandishing her sword.

What she saw made her eyes widen before steeling herself in fierce determination.

Letting out a war cry, Wonder Girl flew at higher speeds and cleaved her blade into a humanoid creature that wielded a sword of its own that was about to be brought down upon a cornered family.

"GO NOW." Wonder Girl cried out to the family with the parents quickly gathering up their children and running off.

With the sword still embedded in the now writhing creature that was spasming in pain.

Gritting her teeth, Donna tugged her sword back and in one swoop made the creature stumble away whilst also pulling her weapon out of its body.

She managed to get a good look at this humanoid thing and saw it as some kind of husk of sorts. Graying skin with glowing eyes and a disjointed and imbalanced body with many of its joints looking like rocks or even coral.

The glowing red eyes however that stared back at her showed clear signs of malice and hateful rage. These creatures seemed dead to her aside from the eyes that brimmed with only harmful intent.

It was then Wonder Girl noticed that this was not the only one creature here as this whole area was teaming with others just like it.

Facing the one she had initially attacked, it cried out in challenging with its sword ready to strike when it was abruptly sliced in half by a glowing sword.

"I had that, Nathan." Donna quipped with a mocking pout.

"I just wanted to take the easy one out for you." Six said with a straight laced tone though Donna's empathic abilities picked up on the teasing undertone. "I know you like a good challenge."

Wonder Girl smirked, turning to face the other humanoid creatures who were either crying out in anger or just charging straight at them.

"Any ideas on what these things are, Donna?" Six asked, dual wielding plasma wrist blades.

"I have never encountered such a manner of creatures as these." Wonder Girl replied, shield now at as well. "But I sense a great deal of burning fury and unresolved vengeance from these… things. An unsatisfied urge and loss of purpose other than to kill."

"Then we know we can't let them wander." Six declared, not waiting for her response as one of these humanoid creatures jumped right at him.

Six simply side stepped and with a quick horizontal slash, decapitated the creature.

Wonder Girl held up her shield, catching one of the attackers and held it up to keep it from swinging its one free arm at her. Pivoting her body with an increase in her speed, Donna slammed the creature to the ground holding it down with her shield. Twirling her sword into a back hand grip, a quick swipe to its face quickly ended the creatures life.

Without even looking back, Wonder Girl thrusted her sword behind her into the stomach of one that attempted to sneak up on her.

Pulling her sword out, Donna kept her back turned to the creature while delivering a boot to its stomach before super kicking it in the chin to knock its head clean off.

She spun around in a violent flurry, cleaving another humanoid husk that ran at her right in two.

Six had switched into a momentary bout of hand to hand with one of these strange enemies, striking it with well time hits to the joints, abdomen and head.

An elbow to the head disoriented it before his knee to the gut made it fall to its hands and knees.

Six reached down to grab the creature by its neck and arms, finding it to be deteriorating and difficult to grab. So Six dug his hands right under its flaky skin, ignoring its anguishing and enraged roars.

With a small heave, he spun in a circle and flung the humanoid into several others that were running right at him. It collided with its allies, all stumbling down to the ground giving Six more than enough time to pull out a plasma grenade and tossed into the jumbled pile of walking husks.

One explosion later, a small searing ashen plasma circle was all that remained of these strange foes.

Turning to Wonder Girl, Six saw she was taking on two at the same time but he knew she would beat them in a matter of seconds.

Donna held her sword in a backhanded fashion on her right, her shield on her left.

Widening her stance, Wonder Girl went on the attack.

Jabbing her shield into the neck of the humanoid to her right, it let out a kind of choking sound while clutching its now dented neck.

The one on her left attempted to get the ump on her only for her to anticipate this, spinning her blade back into its basic grip and thrusting it forward. Her enchanted Amazonian blade went through the attackers arm and its chest with the limb now stuck to its torso.

Switching her grip back to that of a backhand, Wonder Girl jammed her sword upward and sliced the humanoid in two then stabbing her weapon into the head of creature to her right through its temple.

Both soon collapsed until suddenly, all the bodies that had remained seemingly burned away into ashes to leave nothing behind.

Taking a moment to check around the area with Dot and Cortana utilizing radar, heat scanners and movement detection, the two AI confirmed for the two that the area was clear.

"What were those things?" Donna asked aloud.

"Those undead assholes were fucking Draugr."

Both warriors turned to the two Dwarves approaching them with Sindri showing a distraught face while Brok was grim.

"I didn't think it was that bad." Sindri said anxiously, frowning sadly. "To think they would reach Midgard to this scale."

"You said these things were Draugr." Six said to Brok. "What exactly are they?"

"Undead warrior fuck ups who denied the Valkyries duty in shepherding them into Valhalla and are so pissed off, they refused to got to Helheim." Brok explained.

"Valhalla." Donna murmured to herself. "The Legendary fabled halls of warriors? It's real?"

"Indeed it is." Sindri confirmed for her. "But seeing the extent of the Draugr reaching even this part of Midgard… I dread to know what has happened back home with the Valkyries and the other nine realms."

"Valkyries?" Wonder Girl repeated with a reverent tone. "The legendary Women warriors of Valhalla, those Valkyries?!"

"They actually know about you Amazons." Sindri informed Donna. "It's how we along with most of the other 9 realms know about you. Aside from a few other individuals, Valkyries were the ones who most frequented all the realms and soon caught wind of an island of…"

"Donna!"

Sindri jumped with a yelp, whirling around with his fists raised up in a poor display of self-defense. Brok only whistled in astonishment, jaw dropping a bit at the sight of Wonder Woman flying down to them.

"Sweet Nethers of a pig farm." Brok whispered in awe. "Who is that?"

"Sister." Wonder Girl greeted with relief.

"Sister?" Brok said with a bit of a perverse grin. "You got sisters?"

"Spartan." Wonder Woman greeted cordially, not hearing the comment but easily noticing the two dwarves. "Dwarves? Here?"

"You know about them?" Dot spoke up in surprise, appearing beside Nathan's helmet.

Wonder Woman stared at Dot in bewilderment, looking back and forth between the unusual group before her with only one question coming to mind.

"What exactly is going on here?"

Wonder Woman eyed her younger sister and Spartan-B312 intently, both of whom shared a look with Donna cringing as she realized Six was leaving the explanation up to her.

"That's… a bit of a hard thing to explain."

"You can start from the beginning." Wonder Woman said patiently.

"Right…" Wonder Girl grimaced a bit, looking to the two dwarf brothers. "Where to begin…?"

The next hour or so was a slightly abridged version of the purpose of Brok and Sindri coming to New York along with their conversation moving to a different destination.

That being one of the various rooftops of Manhattan.

Diana prince was silent, asking questions sparingly as the two dwarves, the two AI and the two Greek inspired warriors explained to her the coming of Ragnarok and the now apparent out reaching effects it has on the regular plain of reality here on Earth outside the known 9 realms. All in all, a lot to take in for the warrior princess of Themyscira.

"This is a lot more serious then I had thought." Was what Diana first stated upon the group concluding the shortened version of the current topic of importance that being the coming Ragnarok.

"And the more we stand around here playing with ourselves, the more Ragnarok draws closer." Brok grumpily stated. "The more the 9 realms fall into chaos and bullshit and all that crap till Odin loses his fucking mind altogether and goes and starts the end times himself without even knowin it so can we please wrap this up so the two of us can head back? Freya's been waiting on our stout ass's fer fuck knows how long now and we'd rather not keep the queen of the Vanir waitin."

"Freya?" Wonder Woman said with surprise. "The Goddess of Love, fertility, magic, war, wisdom and knowledge? Queen of the Valkyries?"

"The very same." Sindri nodded. "Your younger sister already made a passing mention of you and your people holding Freya in a high regard."

"More than you would realize." Diana stated. "I wish I could ask for more but you just told us of a pressing matter at your home realm."

"Then what should do?" Cortana asked the magic question. "This all seems rather sudden and to be honest I'd rather we know more than just rushing right into literally 9 realms that we know next to nothing about."

Dot wanted to interject but Cortana quickly stated. "And no, what we have on them with our texts aren't fully valid until validated so aside from base knowledge, we're walking in blind here."

"This is a very serious matter then." Wonder Woman mused aloud. "The fate of an entire pantheon and its people hang in the balance from what the two of you told us."

"Isn't there like some super winter that's supposed to occur first?" Dot asked. "Fimbulwinter, wasn't it?"

"That part you gals got correct." Brok confirmed. "The Great Winter, the winter to end all Winters. Once that comes then Ragnarok ain't far behind."

"I'll need to discuss this with the Justice League." Wonder Woman announced. "If these Draugr you spoke of got out here, then that runs the risks of other more dangerous threats making their way throughout the rest of the world."

"I shall do the same." Wonder Girl said. "The team will need to know."

"And what will you be doing Spartan?" Wonder Woman asked Six who had remained relatively silent throughout this conversation.

Six only crossed his arms in silent thought, head tilting down. His thought process ran through a myriad of scenarios of the coming days and if these Draugr are apparently spilling out from these 9 realms that Brok and Sindri hail from then to him it's only a matter of time before much more dangerous enemies start appearing.

Facing the Doom Hordes of Hell has that effect on a Spartan's mindset.

"I'll head back to prepare for the journey."

Sindri's eyes lit up and Brok grinned.

"Yer saying yer coming to help us out?" Brok eagerly asked getting a nod from the Spartan which made the blue dwarf laugh a raspy laugh.

"I will." Six now promised. "I'll help you prevent Ragnarok."

"Then you will have our support as well." Sindri said with a grateful smile. "I'll help in pointing you the way to the center point of the Nine Realm. Where the center of Yggdrasil meets. You'll find me and my brother waiting for you there."

Six only nodded, looking up to a now worried Donna. It wasn't physically visible to the observable eye. But he could easily tell. From her slightly stiffer posture to the way her eyes glazed over for a brief moment.

Above all else however was the literal feeling of concern coming from his lover. This strange phenomena was becoming more and more frequent and Six couldn't exactly pinpoint as to when it began but it was easy to point to where it started from.

However, that conversation would have to wait.

For now, he had to go and get ready for what his gut was telling him would be a long and extremely arduous journey.

He could feel it in his soul and bones. If he thought the brief traverse through Hell was straining, preventing a pantheons apocalypse would undoubtedly be ten times greater in difficulty.

All these thoughts ran through Six in a matter of a few short seconds before giving both Wonder sisters a nod of farewell for the time being.

Wonder Woman and Wonder Girl nodded in return, taking off into the skies though Donna remained behind for a brief second to give Six a final longing look. She went to join her sister a second later who had been observing these small little moments her younger sibling had been giving off more and more around the Spartan these past few weeks.

Now that Diana thought about it since New Years, there has been a very noticeable shift in mood from not only Donna but the entire team overall.

She like most of her colleagues surmised the change to the growing number of threats, the whole League getting brainwashed by the light and of course the revelation that the Spartan had apparently spoke to them on his own past life.

He probably even revealed his identity which must have been a large display of trust on his part.

Donna had told her that he was aware of all their identities both with the League and the Young heroes.

What boggled Diana's mind was how the Spartan showed more trust towards the young team in comparison to the League.

This brainstorm of recent events and ideas were cut off from a glint of light that got caught in her eye.

Blinking a bit, Diana turned to the source of the light and saw it was from the metal arm band upon Donna's right bicep.

It was updated with the emblazoned W that represents her title and bond as sisters.

But what truly caught her attention was the engraved roman numeral for 6 on whatever that triangle symbol beneath the W was.

Narrowing her eyes a bit, Diana faced forward and refocused on the objective on hand right now as they both flew towards the Zeta tubes stationed here in Manhattan.

She'll have to get answers later.

So after a long break, hiatus, so on and so forth I have at long last returned.

It's been to long but sometimes these breaks are necessary otherwise I can grow exhausted from writing the same stories over and over again.

I need these momentary hiatus's from time to time in order to keep my interests on this story up and my ideas fresh.

And it's a good thing I did cause now I know what I'm gonna be doing for the next solid 25 chapters.

But I've also been extremely busy with my revamped Avengers/Star Wars crossover and it has been gaining traction.

There's also something else I wanna address and that was the abysmal handling of the last season of Game Of Thrones.

I think it goes without saying that Season 8 dropped the ball so fucking hard it has forcibly moved up my own Game Of Thrones stories I've been developing to a large degree.

So hopefully if other matters don't interfere, expect more new content soon!

Anyways, that's all I could say for now other than I've seen Endgame a collective 7 times now and John Wick Chapter 3 has inspired me to really let Six shine more in how badass he'll be in ass kicking
