Demons Blood vs Rage

Any normal human being would have begun to sweat and feel uneasy if they so much as set foot into the land that the four combatants found themselves in as they entered the virtual arena.

Tough obsidian was the material that made up the grounds and mountains, and cracks all along it that could not be mistaken for anything other then lava seeping out, with an orange hazy sky with no sun evident just a huge blast of orange smoke like substance.

The Kryptonian General and the Red Lantern leader both cracked their knuckles together while Dante drew Ivory and Ebony and pointing them at Zod while Illidan cast a spell placing a very clear green mark on the ground before enveloping his hands in green flame.

As the force field between the two teams vanished Dante began with a volley of bullets shot towards Zod who flew upwards dodging the magic bullets before firing a blast of his heat vision in retaliation.

As the red clad hunter blocked the blast with his sword he caught a glimpse of what was going on with his opponent,

"Hey look it's a holiday battle!" Dante yelled commenting on the ranged battle of blasts occurring between Illidan and Atrocitus for blasts of red plasma and green fire were colliding with each other with the two combatants both trying to over power the other. That is until the winged half demon made a backwards swish of his wings and engulfed himself in smoke rendering himself invisible just as Atrocitus' last blasts landed where he had been not half a second prior.

Atrocitus had missed the part where Illidan turned invisible and so instead thinking he had managed to overcome his opponent turned to Dante who was holding off lasers from Zod and constructed several spears and sent the deadly projectiles flooding towards Dante who didn't move in time and ended up getting impaled on the blades which proceeded to embed themselves in the side of a mountain with Dante still on them.

"Not even a challenge!" Zod remarked crossing his arms.

"I bet it wasn't" came an almost amused laugh as Dante pulled himself almost effortlessly from the spears as they vanished landing on the ground his wounds already healed.

Zod lit his eyes up and was about to launch another blast of heat vision at the devil hunter but before he did Dante was already in front of him bringing his sword down intent on putting it through his heart.

Zod grabbed the blade between both hands and though a pain made itself evident on his hands it was benign at best.

The Red Lantern was about to help but at that exact moment a pair of hands gripped Atrocitus by the neck and began draining life force in a green hue.

"Argh!" Atrocitus yelled as he reached his arms behind him and with his rage granting him new strength threw Illidan over his head and slamming him into the ground creating a crater in the obsidian.

Bringing both fists down Atrocitus would have landed a blow to Illidan that would have completely shattered the half demons entire body had he not engulfed himself in green flames and vanished reappearing in a standing position atop the green symbol he himself had put there at the beginning.

Atrocitus had turned around just in time to see two meteors plummeting towards him summoned there by Illidan.

He blasted one apart but the other landed with a loud boom right in front of atrocitus before the stone reformed into an infernal demon held together with green fel flames and began advancing on the Red Lantern.

Atrocitus was about to blast the Infernal but just then something else blasted it apart. being blast apart by a laser blast from Zod that had been dodged by Dante who was performing over the top and in Zods mind infuriating flips and dives.

"You will die!" Zod yelled making a lunge for Dante with an attempt to grab him by the hem of his coat.

Dante grinned as he activated his Quicksilver ability and casually ducked around the grab while turning around and sending a good few bullets into Atrocitus' back.

Time resumed it's normal pace for Dante just as his bullets landed in Atrocitus' back which sadly did no more then tick the Red Lantern off which only allowed him to send a huge blast of pure plasma from his mouth, one that would have roasted Illidan if he allowed it to hit.

Fortunately he didn't as he made a great push with his wings and took off getting about one thousand feet off the ground in less then a second.

"Hey Bats!" Dante yelled brandishing his sword up at Illidan before feeling an attempt from Zod to freeze him with the powerful freeze breath, "Care to switch things up!"

Illidan smirked knowing exactly what his companion was thinking and with another powerful thrust of his wings began plummeting back towards the ground at almost un followable speeds.

Dante who was starting to feel a great amount of stiffness in his bones from the freeze breath broke free instantly by activating his Devil trigger and temporarily assuming a red winged demon and flew up.

No one in the crowds who wasn't meta-human could follow what happened until after it had happened but Dante and Illidan were in total sync as Dante let go of Rebellion and Illidan let go of one of his warglaives, both pushing their weapons away from them and snatching the others weapon as they flew past.

Illidan just before hitting the ground spun around and threw his second Warglaive up towards Dante before using the same momentum to bring Rebellion down on Zod.

Sadly the strength difference between the general and the winged demon hunter was an immense one and so even with the pain that came from contact with the demonic blade Zod was still able to grab the flat side of the blade in one hand and slammed Illidan back into the ground.

Raising his foot with the intent of stomping on his opponents chest Zod found himself caught off guard as a terrible physicic howl pierced his ears, planting a fake sense of fear in his head.

As the general staggered back trying to get his composure back the Demon hunter he had been intent on squashing got to his feet and with Rebellion in his right hand thrust his left out with a ball of shadow in it.

It was indeed confusing when the blast didn't fire from his hand but Illidan was a tricky one and he certainly knew what he was doing.

What he was doing became clear a second later as Zod tried punching something that wasn't there for Illidan was placing an illusion in the generals mind making him think he was fighting up to twenty opponents as opposed to one. Meanwhile up in the sky Dante had deactivated his Devil Trigger and was in a free fall whist still swishing the Blades of Azzinoth in a flamboyant fashion sending waves of fel energy at Atrocitus who was flying above him.

The red clad demon hunter utilized his Air Raid ability creating a red magic platform below him and jumping back up towards Atrocitus taking a deadly swing with one of the warglaives as he propelled himself upwards.

Atrocitus saw this and sent a huge wave of energy at Dante who while able to block the attack with the warglaives was still sent hurrtling back towards the ground by this attack.

Landing on his feet with enough force to create another large crater in the ground.

Having landed only three yards from the duel between Zod and Illidan, Dante managed to get a good look at just how his partner was fairing and shared a glance and a nod with him just before Zod flew backwards readying another blast of his heat vision no doubt intending to destroy all of the illusions and the real Illidan at the same time.

The General of krypton had gotten tunnel vision due to his anger and only saw the many Illidans below him... This would prove to be a large error on his part as Dante spun around and threw both the Blades of Azzinoth spinning like frisbies towards Zod for both to embed themselves in his chest.

As this was happening Illidan had turned around throwing Rebellion like a spear towards Atrocitus... the blade embedding itself through Atrocitus' head making him slow down and hit the ground on his back clearly dead.

Zod was seething now as he roughly pulled both blades from his chest gritting his teeth and growling as he tossed the blades aside and created a massive wave of Heat vision sent towards the Demon Hunters,

Dante did a back flip getting out of Zods line of sight while Illidan took to the air.

Even in this state of anger Zod was still as cunning as ever. He inhaled deeply created a wind intake that pulled the airborne demon hunter towards him and then grabbing Illidan by the neck with both hands and swiftly snapped it, making Illidan fall to the ground dead.

Zod began scanning for his last opponent seething now.

"Hey baldie!" someone said from right behind him.

Zod spun around just in time to look down the barrel of a black M1911 gun as Dante said "Jackpot!" And pulled back on the trigger and making a resounding boom sound.

The demonicly enhanced bullet pierced through the kryptoian skull and Zod was blasted backward landing dead on his back.

"TEAM DEMONS BLOOD WINS!" President Awesome exclaimed in a satisfied sort of way. "THEY WILL JOIN TEAM SUPER STEEL, TEAM SUPER LEADERS AND TEAM ANDROID IN THE SEMI FINALS!"

A wild round of almost deafening cheering and whooping came from the crowd.

"ALAS WE ALSO HAVE A PROMISE TO KEEP, A FAN CHOSEN DRAW WAS DONE YESTERDAY, AND THE WINNERS BATTLE MUST COMMENCE BEFORE WE CONTINUE!" President Awesome exclaimed as the cheering died down, "AND SO ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE THEM, IN THE FIRST CORNER WE HAVE A MAN BY MANY TITLES, THE CHOSEN ONE, THE BOY WHO LIVED! HARRY POTTER!" And with that a boy with black hair and wearing black and orange robes with glasses appeared out of thin air on one of two pedastles that had risen for the guest fight.

"AND IN THE OTHER CORNER, WE HAVE THE DEMON HUNTER WHO CAN COMPLETE ANY MISSION, A TRUE HUMAN AMONGST GODS, A MORTAL AMONGST THE IMMORTALS, LET'S GIVE IT UP FOR LADY!" And as this was said a black haired woman wearing a white shirt and black skirt with numerous firearms strapped to her waist.

"THEY SHALL DO BATTLE ATOP THE CURSED TOWER TEMEN-NI-GRU!"

As these last words were shouted both combatants placed their hands on the familiar red buttons and were transported to the virtual arena.

A/N - oh boy that was maybe too much fun to write.

Goku - That was awesome

Superman - rather brutal though don't you think? what was that three seperate impalements.

Me - yeah well Zod is brutal and it's iconic for Dante to get impaled!

Dante - He's got a point

Zod - YOU WILL DIE!

Me - (sigh) will you feel better if I explain it?

Zod - perhaps!

Me - well then here it is

Authors Note:

This fight is surprisingly close, Zod might hold the strength advantage and not counting his Devil Trigger transformation Zod has the speed advantage as well (though with the Devil Trigger Dante does outclass Zod in speed greatly) though on the other side Atrocitus is outclassed strength wise by both Illidan and Dante but his strength is relatively equal to Illidans. Now before I compare the teams I'm going to explain this, Illidan is a tactical fighter combined with his stealth he would make sure to make sure the four combatants are fighting who is least (or best in terms of himself and dante) opponent, in other words Atrocitus is most likely find himself in battle with Illidan and Dante in battle with Zod (Disclaimer, Zod is also a tactictian but he relies on raw battle tactics, I am saying Illidans assassin like strategies would allow him to manipulate the flow of battle better then Zod who adapts to said flow of battle).

Now the battle between Atrocitus and Illidan would be quite a bit more clear cut, while it would be even the inveditable end would be Illidans victory for a few simple reasons. Illidan is far more cunning and is a lot better at keeping a cool head, he can dodge around everything with things like his demonic teleport and his FAR superior skill and comparable strength would make up for his slight lower speed. Illidan also has his invisibility and minor mental abilities.

Dante and Zod is a much tougher battle however. like I said Zod is stronger but Dante is faster with the devil trigger, Dante has the means to kill Zod and Zod vice versa has the means to kill Dante, the big deciding factors between these two are A Dante has more raw skill, now don't get me wrong Zod isn't the beserker he seems but even if we do give him the skills in one on one combat as any military person would need Dante has a far bigger skill set self made to be unpredictable, combine that with the fact that beating opponents stronger but not faster then him is a pretty standard thing for Dante so once that Devil Trigger gets pulled Zod has but a matter of moments.

So there's my reasoning, anyone see any big flaws? I welcome some CIVIL discussion about it if you wish, though I do stress the word CIVIL!

Anyway nothing else really to add except hope you're all looking forward to this next fight, it might be mundane but let me tell you all it's tougher then you all might think.

As well I didn't seem to get too many suggestions for fights last time... come on guys I know you all have SOME fight you'd want to see me do, regardless of winner even just the iteration? hehe I'm still open to suggestions but a draw for a guaranteed fight won't be happening for a while... suffice it to say I've got some fun ideas for before the Semi finals begin :)

Anyway now for my question. What would you guys think if I tried doing an Army on Army comparison? tried comparing two factions with the assumption that numbers would generally be equal? thoughts on this would be most appriciated.
