I'm not updating much and that's simply because I have little or no reviews.

I think everyone says it: no reviews = slower updates or none. Doesn't really make you want to sit and write if people aren't bothering to give you feedback.

The truth hurts and it hurts the writer (me!).

Chapter Thirty Seven –

Part One

December 2012

Christmas, it was one of Aurora's favourite holidays. Turkey, Santa, presents and all the festive cheer it was certainly a favourite but this year things would be different, Aurora mused, as she walked under the hot Floridian sun. This year she was two months away from giving birth to her and Michael's first baby and it was their first holiday was a couple. Walking through the campus of the University of Orlando, Aurora sipped on her ice cooled lemonade.

"Aurora, hey your miles away. You okay?" she heard the voice of her best friend, Samara, asked as they walked into the direction of their final lecture of the day.

It had been during orientation that Aurora had bumped into Samara Harrington. A blond surfer girl who was originally from Malibu, and they had instantly clicked. They were on the same pre-teaching course and spent a lot of time together with their two partners in crime Delacey Arendsen and Esmé Rolinson. They had been nicknamed the Four Musketeers by one of their lecturers as they were never seen apart from each other.

"Yeah just thinking this time next year little Aria Jessica will be having her first Christmas. I'm only nineteen..."

"Awww are you regretting it?" Samara asked.

"No, just a bit overwhelmed. Michael has been so amazingly supportive and he's trying to do everything to make this transition as smooth as possible but it's hard. I love him pieces and I am excited about becoming mum."

"I guess everyone would be overwhelmed welcoming their first child. It's a scary experience but Michael loves and adores you. You can see it in the way he looks at you. He was prepared to sacrifice his career to be with you," Samara told her as she nodded.

"I wouldn't have done anything to let that happen but it was Michael who wanted to come out here and be the head of that teaching facility. It was amazing and Belle is so happy there. She's made some amazing friends, she's on her high school netball team and she's already got a boyfriend."

"Since when?" questioned Samara as they walked into one of the one their lecturer buildings. It was the day before they would be breaking up for Christmas, but Samara was heading back to Miami to spend the season with her long term boyfriend, Jonas.

"A few weeks she said. Michael caught them kissing outside the PE block and he naturally told me. She was quiet embarrassed but he seems like a nice kid. He came over last night to do some studying and yes that's all they did. I don't want her following in my footsteps and getting pregnant. I know I was in a serious relationship but it still happened fast," Aurora mused as they spotted Delacey and Esmé waiting for them.

Delacey was from Montana, the daughter of an English professor and a daycares owner. She had long blond hair, big blue eyes and this all-American look and she was one of the uni's cheerleaders. Esmé, with her vibrate red hair, was from Brooklyn, New York and it had been her dream to attend school at Princeton but had just missed there so ended up at the University of Orlando, something she didn't regret. The four of them headed into the direction of their lecture once Esmé had managed to untangled herself from her boyfriend, Nico.

"Can you believe we've nearly finished a whole semester here?" Delacey announced as they walked down the long corridor of the Jasmine Blue building first floor.

"I know it's been a whirlwind and it seems like yesterday we had arrived. When we come back we're going have to sort out accommodation for next year," Samara replied.

"So are the three of you bunking in together?" questioned Aurora, feeling slightly left out but she couldn't complain when she had a gorgeous mansion to call home. She and Michael had found their dream home a month after moving to Orlando and had completed the paperwork the week before.

"Yeah along with Nico and Jason but we don't know if Riley is going to join us yet," sighed Delacey. Jason was her boyfriend and Riley was her baby sister. She was due to start college next year but the younger girl was still unsure as she thought maybe she'd get into the dorms. "I'm going to speak to her over Christmas and find out what the deal is."

"Aurora have you decided what you're going to do about school once you've had the baby?" questioned Esmé as they entered the lecture theatre and took their usual space at the back.

"I've spoke to the professors and they've agreed to let me do the rest of the year from home. It's four months but maybe I'll decide to come back after Easter. I want to complete my first year and try and get through my degree. We'll see nearer the time."

The girls talked between themselves as Aurora texted Michael to let him know she was in one of her final classes of the day. They had decided, due to Aurora being seven months pregnant that they didn't want to fly home so they were spending Christmas in Orlando. Gino who had recently broken up with his girlfriend was flying out to spend the Christmas period with them but Levi wouldn't be joining them. It had been two months earlier she had accidently discovered he was her father and she had been devastated that he hadn't told her. She had cut off all contact from him and he had left Garcia Enterprises.

"What the..."

Stepping into her bedroom Aurora felt her mouth drop open as she saw rose petals scattered around the room and in the middle was a box with a card propped against it. Frowning she had come home to the house empty and to find both Michael and Belle were suddenly not answering their phones. Something that was unusual and was sending warning signals through her head. Why was her boyfriend ignoring her calls? Frowning she walked over to the bed and lifted the card up.

Lyin' here with you so close to me
It's hard to fight these feelings when it feels so hard to breathe
Caught up in this moment
Caught up in your smile

I've never opened up to anyone
So hard to hold back when I'm holding you in my arms
We don't need to rush this
Let's just take it slow

Reading the lyrics from one of her favourite songs of the moment, she smiled before she turned it over. The first time she had heard the song from Lady Antebellum was when she had been snuggling up with Michael watching Pretty Little Liars where Ezra and Aria dance for the first time at the end of season two. It was one of her favourite scene and that relationship was like a mirror image of her and Michael's expect without the crazy stalker A or Mona!

Taking it slow with you was never an opinion

I fall more and more in love with every day

Just the same way as I watch our child grow within you, it's like our love - magical

Put the dress on, angel, and get ready for a magical night

I love you

She couldn't help the stupid smile that appeared on her face as she lifted the box up and found the most stunning baby blue gown. Quickly pulling off her maternity jeans and a t-shirt, she slipped on the dress which she found she could fasten from the front and then turn it around. Her heart skipped a beat when she spun it around before walking into the large en-suit walk-in-wardrobe they had. She hadn't felt pretty or sexy while she was so big but this dress made her feel like a princess. Like she was Cinderella going to the ball after all.

Walking back out of the room, she saw a pair of shoes had been placed on the window seat and she walked over to it. Seeing the name Jimmy Choos written on it, she lifted it up to find the most gorgeous, white shoes that she was pretty sure had been silk covered. They would have cost him a fortune and then it dawned on her. Are you planning to propose tonight, Michael? she wondered. There was no one else for her and he had been amazing throughout her pregnancy.

If Aurora was being honest and truthful to herself, if he was going to propose then this was just how she imagined it to be.
