AN: The Darren concert was AMAZING! I got to stand really close to the stage (I wasn't the picture perfect girl, in case you were wondering). Darren had a little bit of a cold and it made his nose a bit stuffy but somehow it kinda made his voice a little sexier. I love his new songs so much, my favorite new song that he played was Words because I loved the lyrics! And of course I cried during the classics like Not Alone, To Have A Home, Don't You, and others. He played one new song for every city and the song he played for Toronto was It's Over Now from Little White Lie! Darren was so interactive with the crowd and his opening act, Theo Katzman, was amazing as well! Also, there was one point where he was whispering seductively into the mic during Stutter and I swear I died. Check out the videos for the Toronto Listen Up Tour on youtube, it was such an amazing night and I'm so grateful I got to go!
"Blaine, please don't do this," Kurt said, uselessly tugging on Blaine's arm ad they walked down the hallway. Or, more like Blaine was walking and Kurt was trying to dig his heels into the linoleum floor to stop Blaine.
"Where is he?" Blaine was furious. "I'll kill him."
"Blaine, I said don't," Kurt pleaded. He's probably gone by now anyways."
"We're not gonna let him get away with this."
"Blaine, could you please stop walking for one minute?" Kurt was almost shouting now, and Blaine huffed, turning on his foot and crossing his arms to face Kurt. Kurt was still holding on to Blaine's arm.
"Why can't you ever listen to me?" Kurt said. "No offense, Blaine, but none of the teachers are very fond of you here and if they find out you started a fight with someone then that just reeks of expulsion to me."
Blaine grabbed Kurt's hand and retracted it from his arm, but not harshly. "Kurt. Do you really think I'm going to walk around the school knowing there's a fucking gorilla roaming around the school who forcibly felt up my boyfriend?"
Kurt blushed at Blaine's slight determination and protectiveness. It was at times like these when Blaine reminded Kurt of a giant German Shepard or Rottweiler dog: they were sweet if they liked and trusted you enough, but when they were put into situations where they felt threatened, they were uncontrollable and unstoppable.
"I know you're doing it to help me," Kurt sighed. 'But I can't let you do this right now. I already hit him hard enough to maybe leave a mark - it certainly left a mark on me - and he'll probably tell the Principal tomorrow that I was the one to hit him first."
Blaine stepped closer and wiped a tear track off of Kurt's face with the sleeve of his leather jacket. The leather was tough of Kurt's face, but Blaine didn't press too hard.
"First of all," Blaine began, "He won't tell the Principal because he'd be far too embarrassed for the story of you hitting him in the face to get out. He'd be humiliated and "fairy-princess Hummel punched Karofsky in the face" would never end. Sorry, babe, I didn't mean to call you that," Blaine apologized, but then continued."
"Second, I can bet you about a million dollars that you won't tell the Principal or your dad."
Silence.
"Will you?"
"No," Kurt peeped out in a small voice that was barely audible.
"Fuck, Kurt," Blaine cursed. "I'm so fucking mad right now. I want to bash his ugly face in until he can't see anything anymore. I don't give a fuck if he's exploring his sexuality or whatever, it's not okay to torment some kid into depression and then force him to make out with him just because he wants to deny the fact that he wants dick up his ass more than he wants fast food for dinner."
Kurt tried to smile, but he couldn't make himself do it. His eyes shifted to the ground instead.
"Kurt?" Blaine spoke more softly than before. "...where else did he touch you?"
Kurt pressed his lips together and didn't say anything.
"Kurt," Blaine said more clearly, but his tone wasn't angry. "I need you to tell me where else he touched you, please."
With shaking hands and eyes focused on the floor, Kurt took Blaine's right hand in his own and placed it on his own stomach. At a snails pace, he dragged Blaine's hand downward until it was resting just above the button on his jeans. He didn't completely place Blaine's palm between his legs, but he figured Blaine would get the picture.
"Fuck," Blaine spat out through barred teeth, and nearly ran down the hall.
"Stop!" Kurt was in front of him in an instant, placing his hands on Blaine's face. Blaine skidded to a halt in front of Kurt, making both of them stumble back a bit.
"I don't want you to go after him."
Blaine grabbed both of Kurt's wrists in one hand and wrapped his free arm around Kurt's back. He placed his face directly in front of Kurt's and stared intensely into his eyes. "But you won't tell anyone anyway, am I right?"
When Kurt said nothing, Blaine continued. "Exactly!"
"I can talk about it whenever I'm ready!" Kurt replied.
Blaine stared at Kurt for a long time and then loosened his tight grip on Kurt's hands, bringing them up to his lips. "I know. I'm sorry. I would never force you to talk about it unless you were truly comfortable with doing it."
"I know that you know," Kurt gave a tiny smile, but it felt like twisted on his lips. "I know you get kind of crazy when you get mad."
"Crazy, huh?"
"Yeah," Kurt said, leaning his head against Blaine's so that their bangs were squashed together. Kurt missed this after being away from Blaine for so long. "You're insane. Psycho."
"So I've been told," Blaine smirked.
"I just don't want you getting hurt or into trouble. Not for anyone, and especially not for me."
"I'd do anything for you," Blaine blurted, and he thought that this might have been the wrong thing to say and that he sounded like a total rom-com character, but Kurt just smiled.
"I know you would," he answered, "and you know the feeling is mutual. But I don't want you to make a huge scene out of this. Please, let me try to handle it on my own."
"I don't think I'll be able to take him looking at you like he's going to pounce on you any second," Blaine said.
"He won't," Kurt said. "At least, I don't think he will. After all, I punched him in the face and freaked him out, I think he'll be too embarrassed to harass me right away."
"I'm sorry I wasn't there," Blaine said, and the sound of Blaine's voice cracking shocked Kurt.
"Blaine, baby," Kurt hushed when Blaine wasn't looking at him. "You couldn't have known it was happening. It wasn't your job to be there."
"Not just that," Blaine sighed, closing his eyes and laying his head in the crook of Kurt's neck. He breathed in the musky smell of his boyfriend. "For the past week and a half or so. I'm sorry I was so immature."
"I'm sorry I tried to pry whatever you were upset about out of you," Kurt apologized. "I didn't mean to make you upset. I just didn't want you to be sad."
Blaine snuggled Kurt tighter, swaying back and forth in the middle of the hallway. "You always mean well."
"...Do you...do you want to talk about it now?" Kurt asked softly, combing his fingers at the nape of Blaine's neck. "Like I said, I don't want to pry, but if you're ready..."
Blaine was silent for a moment, breathing slowly down Kurt's neck, but not in the sickly, rapid way like how Karofsky was doing - this was slower, more comforting, a reminder than Blaine was Kurt's anchor and Kurt was Blaine's.
"Yeah," Blaine said finally. "I might."
Kurt nodded. "Can you take me home please? Finn drove me to school this morning and I don't feel like going back to glee right now."
"You don't even have to ask," Blaine spoke, his lips moving against the side of Kurt's neck one last time before they pulled away. They held hands as they walked outside towards the parking lot, and Kurt texted Finn first, and then Mercedes with one hand.
I'm not coming back to glee. Going home with Blaine.
Less than 30 seconds later, Mercedes had replied.
I knew u 2 would get over urselves ;)
Even though Kurt wasn't the happiest person in the world right now, he smiled.
