Heeyyyyy everybody, Merry belated Christmas and Happy belated New Year! Soooo sorry haven't uploaded; I've had a crazy traveling spree with family and the different holidays; no time to stop and write like I wanted or needed; so sorry. Now I have GOOD NEWS and BAD NEWS! Bad news? Ok! This is a short chapter, and my Fanfiction account it tripping out and I can't access certain things to upload full chapters…. Wahhhhhhh….. Ok Good news: I'm typing on my computer and when my account is fixed I will have fresh full chapters to upload and I will be introducing new characters and new drama but of course it's always about the RIZZLES!

Maura's POV

After dropping the girls off at school, I headed into work. We've had two major surgeries already; and all I could think about was leaving Jane at the airport. My mind of course didn't affect my work or anything; it's just where my head's been at the last 5 hours.

"Chief Isles, Chief hello; anybody home?" I hear someone say.

"Excuse; I'm sorry?" I respond.

"Hey Chief are you alright, you seem to be out of it today" I hear Gerald say.

"Hello Gerald, yes I'm ok; just a lot of things on my mind that I'm thinking about" I respond to Gerald; an orthopedic surgeon I worked with this morning.

"Mmmhmm more like one thing, or should I say one person." I hear another person say.

I turn and see Sandra at the coffee cart, smirking at me before paying for her coffee.

"How did you know" I ask walking over to Sandra after saying bye to Gerald.

"Honey, look at my face; who do you think you are fooling. You two are meant to be together, and when you are apart it's like the worst thing on the planet for you two. I know because I have that with my husband and I've worn the similar blank expression of longing as well." Sandra tells me.

I buy a coffee and we walk over to sit at one of the empty tables in the cafeteria.

"I miss her so much, but it's only been 5 or so hours since I've seen her; maybe something is wrong with me" I say sounding a little sad.

"Honey; there's nothing wrong; you should feel this way; I bet you she isn't doing so well away from you either" Sandra says patting my leg.

Just when I go to say something; I feel several buzzes in my coat pocket; it's not my pager but my cell.

Hey baby, I miss you already- J

Plane landed; wish you were picking me up- J

I love you, I love you, and I love you and miss you- J

Jane has landed and she has sent me messages, God I love her.

"Sandra they're from Jane, she says she loves and misses me; you were right" I say.

"Child; I told you; now go you have one surgery left and then you can leave. And by leave I mean; go to where ever Jane is and talk to her about what we just discussed ok and take that little sweetheart of a daughter too. School is out next week; as long as you don't mind taking her out a day early I will see you next week; say I schedule you in for next Thursday." Sandra says shooing me into the elevator.

"Oh my goodness, thank you Sandra thank you, thank you. I don't know how I can thank you; maybe dinner or something?" I ask her, holding the elevator door open.

"Having you as a reference and a very persuasive letter to the board; that helped me get my promotion to head nurse was thanks enough; but I won't refuse dinner" Sandra says giving me a hug before leaving the elevator.

"Well, you do all the work, and you deserve it; I just wrote a letter describing what you do; glad I could help. Thank you again Sandra, see you Thursday; bye" I say before the door closes.

"Bye" I hear her say just as the door closes.

3 Hours Later

"Mom?", "Mom are you home?" Natalie yells through the house.

"Up here sweetie, Natalie can you come here please" Maura asks.

"Uhh sure, give me a sec" Natalie says dropping her bag, before running up the stairs.

Natalie walks into her mother's bedroom and finds a suitcase and many dresses and shoes all over the bed. Confusion written all over her face, Natalie moves closer to her mother's closet to see her looking through her drawers.

"Hey mom, what's going on? Are you going somewhere?" Natalie asks.

"We, honey we are going to Florida; specifically Boca Raton, FL" Maura answers Nat's question.

"We're going where, Boca Raton; wait a minute isn't that where Coach is playing her game tomorrow" Natalie says finally catching on.

"Mmm-hmm" Maura answers.

"Wait what about school, wait what am I saying its Friday; let's get goin-

"Woah missy, calm down; since school is out next week; I figured we could get in a small vacation before Christmas; starting tomorrow" Maura says cutting Nat off.

"Oh yeah, no school next week after Tuesday; sweet going to Florida" Natalie says leaving the room.

Not 3 seconds later Nat comes back and asks, "Mom how long do I pack for."

"We leave tomorrow afternoon and come back Thursday, I have to work Thursday afternoon" Maura says before going back into her closet.

"Ok so today is Friday; so five or six days in Florida; sweet" Natalie celebrates before leaving to pack.

The ladies spend the next hour, finalizing their different outfits; after checking the weather for the next week down in Florida. Natalie is just excited as Maura is; she's been on the phone with Cindy and Rocky; talking about the surprise. She was very even toned about the whole thing; not rubbing it in or anything like that. Maura of course was talking to Amanda and Susanne; about what to wear and how to seduce Jane; while in Florida. Something's she was grateful Natalie wasn't in the same room; wondering what was making Maura blush.

Both Maura and Natalie went to bed, extremely happy; and looking forward to tomorrow. Natalie is happy to see Jane, some National team soccer; and her mom happy. Maura on the other hand was excited to see Jane and do extremely inappropriate things to her; after they talk of course.

Hey, sorry it's so short everyone; something is going on with my Fanfiction account; and I'm trying to get it fixed. Some of my tabs are getting error messages, among other things. I hope I can get this fixed cause I don't want to leave Fanfiction or you guys. I love you guys and hopefully I can upload full chapters; and continue with the story because it's just getting good; wouldn't you agree? Lol so hope to get things fixed and have everything run smoothly; hope for new chapters soon.
