Demon's Light chapter 38

Firsts and Lasts

Haha, this is the only new thing that I've typed from last year. It's been a long while since I've worked with everyone here, I missed them ;D; All the chapters ahead of this one are still old (at least until I edit out all the weird errors) so if this style is different from the rest then you'll understand why. (Haha, I'm almost sad that this is the last time I ever typed out fem Leora and Killua in this universe now XD ) Sorry this chapter is a bit late! Work was really busy for me this week! TDT

Sherlsepeare- Yup, now that everything about this story makes sense TIME TO FINISH UP WITH FLUFF :DDDDD

Disclaimer: I do not own Hunter x Hunter

The gang found themselves at a hospital and immediately Pairo was sent to the emergency room. The four sat on the wide bench waiting for the results. The room was glum and dreary and it was already evening.

Kurapika covered his hands on his face distraught on the condition of his cousin. Leora was there to pat his back but Gon and Killua didn't have the heart to disturb them. Killua motioned for them to give them some space and the two got up and left.

On the wall down the hallway, the two walked together silently. Unsure of Pairo current condition. "Are you sure he'll be alright?" Gon broke the silence.

"Human medicine might not work that well and I think Kurapika knows that too," Killua mumbled. "But there's not much we can do either."

"Well from what Crazy Slots-" Killua sharply turned her head to him in shock. "I-It's okay! I swear! It's more like a feeling I get. I can feel all the different lives that fading around here and it's scary." Killua then clasped her hands around his strongly which finally made Gon turn and look at her. Eventually he smiled. "Pairo is going to be okay though. I know he's fine."

"Well if you say so then I'm relieved. Why not mention it Kurapika?"

"Kurapika is still mourning for the gang and he has to deal with Pairo in that state. I mean I could but he might not listen."

"As usual, he's stubborn that one," Killua simply shakes her head.

"As well as the two of you," The sudden voice of Killua's father behind them made them jump. "Killu, you have a Nanika inside you. Gon, you have possession of the scythe as well."

"We- I- well-" The both nervously uttered at the same time.

"The dimensional key is lost as well. It's probably in that Skill Hunter that your friend has." Both of them took and offensive stance willing to block his way towards Kurapika. "Now, no need to get defensive, this isn't what I came here to say." Silva faced the both of them. "Killua, Gon, both of your lives will always be hanging on a thread. You realized from what you two have and you can never get rid of. Is this the kind of life you're willing to live?"

"If it's with Killua, then I will for as long as this scythe is with me." Gon annouced determined.

"I wouldn't live any other way with Gon. I'm fine with this dad." Killua also declared.

Silva smiled. "Of course you two are. You're strong." He crossed his arms, "I'm heading back to Alteria. Note that even sheer trial and hardships you two will face in the future, I believe you two can handle all the upcoming storms if you survived this one. Because of what you two are now, you may be targeted now and then, but I'll give you two as much support on my side."

Killua glanced at her father realizing this is the first time he has ever granted a favor for her in this way. Knowing he could possibly prevent creatures from coming after them is a huge bonus.

"But know that there is only so much I can do. I now realized how sick the King's plans are and there probably is more to it. Maha was mentioning it to me. We'll be going undercover for a bit so see what more he has in store. He could probably affect not just you two but possibly our world and other dimensions as well."

"When we recover, we'll do as much as we can on our side too." Killua offered.

"Yeah! Leave it to us! When we're better, I think I kinda want a break." Gon exasperated tiredly from the entire ordeal.

"I gotta admit, I'm the same. I'm with Leora for once: I want a real vacation." Killua groaned realizing how she copied Leora and Gon cackled.

"Now you two take care of yourselves. If you need to contact me Killua, you know how." Killua nodded at her father. "Oh yes, Zeno went ahead and left a message. He told me to do it in a specific way."

The two waited for him to relay the said message but a portal leading back to his home world appeared as he quickly said with a straight face: "Grandchildren." And with that he disappeared into the portal before he could hear Killua's yelling.

"NOT YOU TOO-OW!" Killua ran to the portal only for it to fade away and for her to run up to a wall.

"Killua, you're really loved aren't you?" Gon mentioned in between his giggling.

"Shut up!" She yelled with a redden face.

Gon continued to laugh until he inhaled to catch his breath. "I know it's a bit much to ask-"

"W-W-Wait, don't tell me you're serious?! I'm not mentally ready!" Killua hugged herself with her face still flushed.

"Can we go to Seerfa for a bit?" His words slapped Killua out of her fantasies.

"...What?" Her arms fell at how stupid she was for the moment...and how stupid Gon is.

But after he explained why...

"Pairo will be fine, he's a strong kid Kura," Leora kept patting his back light until she heard him breath really gently. She took a quick peek and noticed he has fast asleep. She quietly got up to search for a blanket. Noticing that Gon and Killua left earlier to give them some privacy, she decided to head to the receptionist where she could acquire some blankets for everyone.

She ventured down the hallways and saw a few of the many that was transferred to this hospital. A particular crowd caught her eye though. "Ponzu?!"

Ponzu, Pokkle, Palm and Pietro turned their heads the moment they heard her voice. "Leora!" They all came together for a group hug.

"Girl, do you realize how worried we were after the shooting incident?!" Ponzu shook her shoulders.

"Yeah, I know I know. But I'm real glad you guys are safe! So much crap happened that I had no idea if I would even see you guys again!"

"Same with us! We'd thought you got kidnapped or something when we didn't see you at the other hospital! Is Kurapika with you?" Pokkle asked.

"He's resting near an operating room. His little cousin fell into a coma from all the commotion earlier," Leora admitted solemnly. It is the truth after all.

"Oh, he must be worried sick!" Palm gasped.

"Yeah, I was just getting a blanket for him since he's knocked out and all."

"Let me go with you, I'll was planning on grabbing some sheets too. We don't have enough for our rooms." Pietro pointed at a certain direction. "It's this way, I'll meet the rest of you guys later."

"Okay you two. We might as well head back." Palm waved with Ponzu.

"See ya! You better visit us later Leora!" Pokkle joined the other two.

"You bet I will!" The group went their separate ways. "How are you holding up Pie?"

"Eh, a bit rough around the edges I gotta admit. But I was 'supposed' to be released by next week but now they want to keep me longer because of the whole world end situation out there," He joked.

"Haha, world end my foot. Buildings aren't falling on people and there ain't any random things from another world trying to rule the world and stuff. I think we got the better end of the stick."

"Of having the whole city trashed?"

"It's better than us dying, that's for sure. Trust me I know. I had enough of it today." Leora groaned.

"So were you with Kurapika the entire time?" Pietro slid into the next subject.

"Yeah and a few others as well," Even if she doesn't mention their names she never wanted to leave Gon and Killua out. "We were in this other place for a while waiting for things to calm down before we could be transferred back here andddd I have the bad luck of coming back at the wrong time in the wrong place."

"Should've changed the dates then. So what did you do with Kurapika, huh? Did it get rated over 18 with you two?" He leered at her sneakily.

"We're still rated T!" She interjected fiercly. "But in any case, you get that I'll only love you in a bromance way."

"And I love in in a romance way..." He sighed. "Oh well I guess I didn't catch you fast enough."

"Sorry bro, Kura got me first."

"So it's official?"

"Once his cousin wakes up, hell yeah."

"Aw man, let me guess, his cousin is the lovechild between you two?" he teased.

"He's a cutie, I'll give you that Pie. I ain't gonna deny." She crossed her arms with confidence once they arrived to the storage with the beddings. They each took their own number of blankets.

"Hey," Pietro started of quietly. "Can we still be good friends like always?"

"Of course!" She nudged him with her shoulder. "Your fault for taking too long."

"Nah, I don't think I had the chance when you first introduce Kurapika to me."

The both of them freed one of their hands and formed it into a fist before doing their friendly fist bump. "When Kurapika wakes up, tell him to visit. I still want to act like the envious love rival for a bit longer."

Leora snickered. "I'll let him know for sure!"

"Ahh, Naoe. I screwed up."

In the land of Seerfa, Ging was almost consumed entirely in a block of ice left over from the holy water dagger. With Genthru out of the picture since his body disintegrated he had no choice but to submit to his fate.

The ice edged up close to his face. Week one his legs couldn't move and then gradually the ice grew to encase the vampire. "I tried to save everyone that was being control by Pouf but it just landed me in a big mess in the end.

"Hm?"

Ging thought he's seeing the light of the end of the tunnel and he was already close to his last moments. He saw her. "Naoe?"

"Yeah?"

"Ahh, I might be hallucinating...but I don't even care. I tried...I tried saving everything and anyone I could. That vampire was controling humans by entering in their bodies Naoe, but the only way I could save them was by killing them to get those small Pouf's out of there. And I tried saving you I really wanted to save you but the minute I turned, by Genthru who was working with Pouf that whole damn time, I ended up killing you and Mito. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Naoe please, you have to forgive me."

With tears flowing out of his eyes he looked up at her once more only to see her smile. "At least, as corny as it is. I'm so, so glad I got to see you one more time."

"So that's why, I get it now."

"Yeah, and I bit our son. I really didn't mean to. I was trying to bring him here to keep him safe from everything but I ended up being terrible. As always," He exasperated.

"It's okay," Naoe bent down. "I'm just glad you told me. But Gon is alright."

"Really?"

"Really," And with that, there was a tattoo that was removed from the neck revealing, a puff of smoke and a complete switch from Naoe to Gon. "Surprise! Plot twist!"

Ging jolted with the limited body movements he could muster. He screamed out in horror. "WHAT THE F-"

"See? I knew he would admit everything he if saw mom's face! Thanks for the spell Killua!" Gon beamed as she also sat down next to Gon.

Ging was too bewildered. "YOU TRICKSTER! HOW COULD YOU?!"

"Hey, you've been tricking people all of your life and now you complain when it happens to you? What a hypocrite." Killua grinned. "Hello, I'm Gon's mate and a retired assassin." Killua introduced herself as plainly and monotonously as she could...while holding a clawed hand.

"You-YOU'RE HIS DAUGHTER!"

"You knew my dad?" Killua raised an eyebrow.

"Of course! We exchanged the best of stories together and Silva is a great drinking buddy! But he can hold his liquor really well so sometimes it's a bit unfair unless he has suuuuper strong whiskey. I know, I'm the one that discovered it after all!"

"I just want to say: I hate your guts and I already hate vampires so I hate you even more than the average vampire. Congratulations," Killua blurted without hesitation.

"Killua..." Gon sweat-dropped. He expected it however but not this bluntly.

"It's true! Your father is an awful, horrible, terrible, see I'm running out of adjectives here!"

"Yeah yeah, lay it on me. At least I admit I'm a bastard."

"Oh? Now what is it you're trying to imply here?" Killua sneered.

"How the heck did you seduce my son?"

"He seduce 'me' thank you very much. And second, why in Alteria's name should I tell you? You're the one that nearly killed him!"

"Speaking of that, how are you even alive?!" Ging blurted angrily.

"Oh um, long story really but I'm kinda a demon now with a death scythe replacing my missing arm," Gon explained even though he still felt odd about the whole story in general.

"WHAT?!"

"Okay seriously, all you're doing is screaming at anything. Gon, you've inherited nothing from this man's genes." She pointed at him crudely.

"That's one thing I'm agreeing on even though I'm not liking this!" Ging barked.

"I think...you two should calm down..." Gon smiled wryly wondering how he ended up being the voice of reason for these two.

"So, yer here to berate me in my last moments or what?" Ging eyed at them suspiciously.

"Me? Yep. Him, nope." Killua explained simply.

"Then what do you want kid?" Ging rolled his eyes.

"Ah, well I'm kinda the vessel for the Death Scythe...you've probably heard of it at least right?" Gon scratched behind his head weakly.

"Yeah some crazy stories I hear of it out there." Ging watched Gon frown as if he was straining to find the right words to say next. "Kid, you gotta do what you gotta do. There's no way out for me so you're planning to use it on me aren't ya?"

"I-"

"I get it. It's what you sense from it. It's not your fault. Well I think it's better this way. If you really reap my soul then I'll be able to see Naoe and Mito again. And apologize properly. If I die in this holy block of ice I'll end up in an irredeemable void of darkness of no return."

"So be thankful your son isn't like you and decided to save your pathetic soul," Killua mumbled darkly while Gon gently mumbled her name to calm her.

"Ging..."

"Hey, don't give me that face kid. I gave you hell didn't I?" Ging laughed cheekily. "I'll say one thing that's father like though as a good send off. Ready to hear?" Gon nodded.

"Even though life ended up being like this for now, it's not a bad thing if you manage to survive it all. It was an amazing adventure for you wasn't it? Our world and all of these other worlds, they mold and shape us to make us what we are today both the good and the bad. So you should keep going on these adventures and even enjoy the little detours to the fullest. Because that's where you'll find the things that are more important than what you want from life."

With a grin he watched Gon using all of his will and scrunched up his face as best as he could.

"It's time ain't I? I'm ready." Ging closed his eyes.

"Gon, you don't have to," Killua place her hand on his shoulder. "I can do it."

Gon breathed in, and then exhaled. "It's okay Killua." He stood up from the ground and gazed at the palm of his hand. "Hey, Crazy Slot?" he ushered quietly.

"I'm ready!" The clown's voice was heard and the palm of his hand turn in a slot dial. "Drrrrluuu~! Two!"

With a puff of smoke, a large scythe replaced his hand.

"I'm proud kid. Just promise you won't end up like me."

Killua grabbed the scythe hand and Gon stared at her for a moment before looking down at Ging for the last time. Gon heaved with the best smile he could force. "I promise..."

WHACK!

"Kurapika, Kurapika!"

Leora kept hitting his cheeks gently until he finally woke up. "Whaa, Leora?"

"Finally. You've been knocked out for two days."

"Pairo?!" Was his second immediate reaction, jumping out from the bench he was sleeping on.

"Sleeping like a log still. They couldn't figure out what's wrong. I already filled out the papers and everything. Gon and Killua will be back soon then went to the other dimension to check on Senritsu and the others for you." Which is true, but this is after they tended to Ging that they informed Leora that they're heading to check on them. It was more to give Gon some space as well.

"How are they?"

"They said they are fine. They're helping to fix the damage from the whole incident and all. Gon and Killua should be back pretty soon. It's close to evening. All of our friends and Netero are here at the hospital too. Wanna go see them?"

"I wanna see Pairo first."

"Sure! We can only view him behind glass though."

"It's better than nothing."

When they arrived through the cool corridor Kurapika sharply took a breath when he saw Pairo connected to IV's and a breathing mask. The heart monitor beeping and the machine were running to range his condition. The sounds from the machinery nearly made Kurapika sick and he bang his hand on the translucent walls and lowering his head, feeling helpless.

"Leora, I...what can I do? What if because of the stress of his body being compressed for too long, he'll..."

"I don't think so from the reports I've heard. Gradually his body is returning its normal state or demon state whichever way you want to point it. It's more like the lack of nutrition and essential vitamins that's being distributed through veins at the moment. See that?" Leora pointed at the array of equipment. "He was paler prior to those being hooked up. He's looking much better now but it all depends on when he'll wake up. It could be days, months, and years due to the trauma of the body. If anything, I'm hoping that it's okay that he's getting human treatment."

"It's fine. Our constitution appears similar to a human so no one would find anything off about it. Currently he doesn't need any extreme medicines but waking him would be difficult even if he was healing in another dimension. Even through means of magic items I have no idea how to wake him, or if he'll ever wake up again. After I finally found him again."

"He'll be fine. He will wake up, I swear." She grabbed his hand. "Kurapika, I signed up for internship here," He looked back at her shocked. "I have no idea if I'm able to get in but if I do, I'll be able to monitor him more closely for you. I have a few connections with the professors and doctors around here that'll allow to work in this wing if possible."

Kurapika took a step forward and embraced her tightly, with so much gratitude despite his fatigue. "Thank you Leora."

With a smile she hugged him back and started patting his back gently.

"We're back!"

They both jumped and escaped their embrace when they heard Gon's excited voice.

"Jeez, if it isn't obvious, we're having a moment!" Leora complained.

"Well you don't give us any moments to ourselves so this is our revenge~" Killua stuck out her tongue.

"I hate you all," Leora mocked grimly.

"You mean you love us?" Gon asked oh so innocently.

"Very much but for now, I hate you all," Leora stood firm dramatically.

"Leora, it's alright. Are the others okay?" Kurapika shook his head at Leora blatant expression.

"They're all good! It's amazing how magic fixes things so quickly, it's amazing! You should've seen it!" Gon exclaimed.

"And it costs a lot of energy and I have never seen so many people go through so many mana drinks in my entire life," Killua complained. "Senritsu will relay the rest of the details since she's been meaning to talk with you again. Everyone back at the palace are worried about you so it's better to pay a visit or let them hear your voice at least."

"I'll make sure to do that after I hear more on Pairo's condition," Kurapika conceded.

"Have you two been sleeping here?" Gon wondered since the two were still wearing the same clothes from when they arrived.

"From the courtesy of a few contacts here yes, but-Ah right, you two can't stay here...I know!" Leora quickly texts a message to someone and she got an instant reply. "Booyeah, anyways hit up this place over there and tell the Captain that I sent you two."

"A bar?" Killua blinks when Leora raised up her phone, displaying the image of Leora's work place.

"Yup! The Captain is in charge of that and the motel at the back. He owes me some stuff and he said he'll lend you guys a room until we heard more news with Pairo!" She then clears her throat to prep her dramatic voice: "In an 'inconspicuous' area where no one will disturb you guys so there won't be OMFG GING ALERT and sirens are heard sort of thing."

"That's a relief," Gon sounded relieved.

"Well if anyone disturbs us I can take them out anyway...'inconspicuously'" She emphasized the last word jokingly.

"Killua," Kurapika leered in warning.

"Hey! You stole my word!" Leora whined.

"Sorry about all of this you guys. Thank you for staying with me," Kurapika thanked them.

"Of course! We all want Pairo to wake up and come home with us!" Gon boasted.

"Tomorrow we'll bring a change of clothes for you two. I doubt you'd resort to hospital clothing," Killua suggested.

"Who knew you'd be the thoughtful one Killua!" Leora laughed.

"Hey! The one time I'm trying to be thoughtful about your wellbeing, you just laugh at me?!"

"Err Killua and I are going go before someone spots me," Gon laughed weakly while turning Killua away, before she could jump on Leora. Kurapika also nodded in thanks.

"I'm just kidding Killua, normal clothes would be great!" Leora changed her mind quickly.

"I'll bring a pink frilly dress then~" Killua smirked deviously as she walked away with Gon.

"NO! NOT THE FRILLY DRESS!"

"Well I'll be shipwrecked in a storm, yer Ging's kid!"

"Uh..." Both Gon and Killua groaned not knowing how to continue.

It was late in the evening when Killua and Gon finally arrived to the Captain's location. Leora did explain their situation but Gon still couldn't help but tense.

"You're the splitting image of him! We're good friends back in the day! We'd drink till we dropped! Yahaha! It's the first place your old man worked. He was terrible at mixing drinks but it made for great entertainment for the victims who drank his stuff!"

"Ahaha, I see. Thanks for looking after him," Gon sighed relieved he was

"It's no prob lass. Take the room on the very top floor down the hall. Can't miss it. No one will head up there so you'll be safe!"

"Thanks old man," Killua with her taunting voice but she truly meant it.

"Anytime kids! Don't forget if you feel like coming down for a swing of beer just let this old man know!"

"Annd we're probably not going to drink a thing," Killua shrugged her shoulders.

Gon stretched his arms as the two headed over to the building and heading inside. "Yeah I don't really feel like drinking right now either."

"But if Leora could call this old man in the first place, we didn't have to stay at Leora's dorm the entire time while we were here a few weeks back," Killua brought up.

"I guess, but isn't it better to stick together?" Gon blinked.

"Only you can say a cheesy line and it sounds like the most normal dialogue in history."

"HEY!"

"But I guess it is better sticking together, I admit you're right." She placed both hands behind her head as they entered the small elevator to go up.

"And Leora said he was booked during the weeks we were here anyway," Gon informed.

"It was fully booked? For what?" She asked incredulously.

"The Senior Citizen Festival," Gon answered as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"..." Killua slapped herself the moment Netero came to her mind and Gon could help but laugh when they exited out of the elevator.

They walked to the end of the hallway as mentioned and Gon opened the door with the key the Captain gave him.

They only saw one bed in the middle of the room.

"Killua, there's a shower! You go first!"

"S-Sure!"

They quickly avoided looking at their blushing faces as Killua scuttled off and Gon threw himself on the bed. When Killua got in the shower she covered her face and at the same time Gon covered his and they both grumbled. "Why is there only one bed?!"

They've shared before in many instances, but with all the changes they went through lately and also the changes in Gon body, things...were slightly different than usual. Especially Gon since his senses are as heightened as Killua's now. He pulled the collar of his shirt revealing the bite mark Killua left on him long ago. It was pulsating and his hands felt hot.

Eventually Killua finished showering and then Gon was next. After he finished he dried off and pulled on his clothes before getting on his side of the bed.

"It's really hot in here, is there seriously no AC?" Killua fanned herself.

"Doesn't look like it. It is still summer

"Let's just sleep and maybe we'll forget how hot it is."

"Okay."

Thankfully for the both of them, they were able to knock themselves out quickly due to all the events that'd happened recently.

However, with Gon he woke up mid-way around midnight. He groaned and turned to see if Killua was still asleep...but his eyes widened when he saw a dark set of black eyes blinking at time.

He grimaced shocked at the sight at first but then recalled what Killua told him earlier. "You're...Nanika?" He remembered the images he read with Killua on that day but he never thought he would actually interact with Nanika.

"Aye!" Her hands sprung up in the air.

Gon paused for a moment and then smiled once he realized the kind of being Nanika is. "Thank you for saving me and thanks for saving Killua too."

"Aye~ Gon!" She clapped.

Gon's grin grew wider when he recalled reading about Nanika back in Falsentria. "Nanika, can I hug you?"

Her eyes swirled with a bit of shock but it was then replace with happiness and Gon felt her joyful bubbly feeling from where he was sitting. "Hug~!" She stretched out her arms out to him. Gon almost started laughing knowing how Killua would never say something like that outload.

Gon embraced her warmly and she hugged him tight as if he was a big cuddly teddy bear. "You can free Nanika too."

"Eh? I can, how?" Gon had to pull away. Killua clearly said that Nanika was possessing her and she didn't know how but there is a way to free her?

"Nanika would say but don't know how. Killua would be shy," Nanika mumbled as if she felt Killua's conscious tickling the back of her mind.

"Eh? What does Nanika mean that it would make Killua shy? Is it something weird?"

"No?" Nanika tilted her head. "It's something happy!"

"Uh, how can something happy make Killua shy?" Gon sweat-dropped not knowing where Nanika was getting with this.

"Killua don't know yet so it's okay. It happen, then I come out! Then everyone happy!"

"Oh um, I see?" Gon could somewhat understand her childishness vagueness, somehow. Not really.

"Killua awake. Uh oh," Nanika sang like a small child. "Nanika going to sleep. Nighty Night Gon." She waved.

"Goodnight," Gon couldn't help but wave back. Nanika's eyes drooped and shut them tight and eventually when they opened again Killua's eyes returned to normal.

"Whoa what...Gon?" Killua rubbed her eyes.

"Morning well Midnight uhh, I was talking with Nanika for a bit?" Gon phrased it more as a question since he didn't know how he was able to talk to her in the first place.

"What?!" Killua barked.

"Nanika was talking to me for a bit!"

"Yeah duh, I heard that. I meant how?!"

"Oh um maybe I could talk to Nanika because you were asleep? The moment you started waking up Nanika said 'uh oh, Killua's up' and then said 'Nighty Night!' Nanika was really cute!" Gon explained happily.

Killua let out one long sigh. "Being possessed is one thing, I'm not completely sure of the side effects but I guess this is one of them."

"Well Nanika said there's a way to stop possessing you," Gon brought up.

"She said that?! What else?!"

"Nanika didn't know how to tell me because Killua would be shy about it...even though it's something happy? I was kinda confused about that but Nanika left before I could ask more," Gon hummed after.

"Shy from the way I'm happy? What's that supposed to mean?"

"Ah, it could be the time that Leora said you're a Tsundere?" He guessed.

"A sundae?" She remembered the tsundere convo back from when they were holed up in a university.

"Is what I thought too!"

She plopped herself back onto the bed. "Awww man, now I'm hungry!"

"I can go grab something from the vending machine outside?"

"Nah, I can hold out till the morning. I don't want you to go outside alone. Last time you told me you were by a vending machine, you got caught by the police."

"Ahaha," Gon sweat-dropped. "Speaking of that we should visit Kaito soon. It still might be a while since he got hurt really bad."

"Well whenever he gets up from his coma we'll pay him a visit. You're not getting weird vibes from the scythe thing right?" Gon shook his head at her. "Then he'll probably be fine. Now I just need to make sure you're not thinking: 'it's all my fault Kaito got hurt.' We were away in another dimension so I don't want you to bring up any of that stuff, you just got over Ging."

"Yeah I guess you're right. His arm though..."

"You lost an arm too!" Killua grabbed the collar of his shirt. "And I was terrified! I couldn't get that guy quick enough and because of that, you got into this state because of me! Think a little more about yourself first! You ended up way worse than any other human out there that day, you're not even human anymore, and doesn't it scare you!? Do you know what it really means to be my kind while having that scythe as your arm?!"

"To be honest, I'm still kinda taking all of this in," He glanced at his right hand. "I'm not as scared as I should be. Weird huh? It's kinda exciting in an odd way."

"Gon," Killua started almost dangerously.

"I'm not scared of turning to a demon or having a scythe as my arm. Sure there's outliving Leora which is sad, and the fact that the scythe could get tired and move to a different host at any time which could also be bad, but that's not what I'm scared of. I scared of something else." He cut her off quickly.

Before Killua could even think of countering, she backed off and removed her hands from Gon's collar, waiting for him to continue.

"I was scared...when I saw Killua falling. When you were knocked out cold and I still was in pain I was so frustrated but I knew I would do anything to save you. I'd given myself up for you I-" He inhaled deeply. "I never told anyone before but at one point in my life, I thought that everyone I would come to know will abandon me one way or another and I thought I'd always be alone. It was hard knowing that I couldn't live simply until I met Killua but...I had a knife in my hand once and I almost..."

"Gon, you-!"

"But Leora left a message right before I could do anything and I realized how terrifying it made me. If I did more than accidently prick myself with that knife then I knew Leora would be sad and she would blame herself and I didn't want that! So when I knew I had to drink your blood I was really scared leaving you with that feeling too! But Killua is so important to me that I had no other choice!"

"Gon," Killua started off slowly. "Do you still think that way?"

He shook his head. "No." Gon smiled warmly. "Not since Kurapika found me that day."

"Found you?"

"I thought it was all a bad dream really, but since I went through all of this stuff the past couple of months, then maybe Kurapika was lying that time?" (A/N: Aka close to the end ofChapter 30, the one chapter no one read haha XD)

"Oi oi, aren't you going to explain?" Killua crossed her arms.

"Well I could but I barely remember...heehee," He stuck out his tongue.

"Don't 'heehee' me!"

Gon laughed heartily while hugging Killua. Feeling like a huge load was taken off his chest by bringing up old bottle feelings. "Thank you Killua, really. For being here with me, for not abandoning me and for loving me. Because of Killua I feel like the luckiest guy in the world, and no matter what happens to me I'll always cherish everything that we have because you're my most important person."

Killua's eyes widened and she almost felt like crying. She knew Gon had given all of his heart to her that he was willing to do everything and anything in his power to be with her. He didn't care about any of the complicated stuff and normally Gon saying those cliché words aloud would make her feel embarrassed as hell but for some reason this time, it strung a powerful chord with Killua that tugged the strings of her own heart. "I love you Killua, I really, really love you!"

She could even feel his infectious smile through his words as they kept hugging each other. His powerful new scent inflamed her nostrils in such a euphoric way that she could be drunk on it for the rest of her life. She knew their lives would be rocky and it won't be the same like when they first met, but she had already swore to be with him.

Killua can't admit her feelings the same way as Gon. He's always been the honest and blunt one and she really loves that about him, but maybe this time for once, she'll take a turn.

The feelings she has, isn't going to hold back anymore.

"Gon," She pulled away from the hug and sat on top of Gon, wrapping her legs around his waist tightly and placed her hands on his shoulders. She pressed her forehead against his until their noses touched together. "Mate with me."

Silently Gon took in her words. His eyes widened and his cheeks turn red. "Eh?"

"I can't hold it in anymore, not after all of this happened. I'm afraid of losing you. I nearly lost you so many times I wonder how I'm able to keep myself going. I don't care anymore, I already marked you, I claimed you and I want you to be rightfully mines." She pressed herself against his chest not caring how embarrassing it is for her now. If anything she wasn't embarrassed at all. She was full on lusting.

"I-" He was silenced by Killua's finger being place on his lips.

"No, don't even say anything. I've held back for way too long now and everyday it drives me insane, the way you make me feel it's too hot. It burning me. You realized that you're too important to me too?"

"Yeah...of course." Gon blushed red at that, completely caught off guard at how honest Killua is being right now. "But Killua, didn't you notice?" He heard Killua muffle a bit when he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer and resting his head on the left side of her neck. "I'm the same as you and I can smell everything now. How you're feeling, how I'm feeling...How fast your heart is beating, your nice chocolate scent." He took a sharp breath. "It felt weird at first and I thought it was because I have demon senses now...right?"

"Mm," She murmured her reply. "The mark I left on you is probably making you go crazy too. I'm surprised...you could hold it in."

"Well, we've been busy really and it wasn't until earlier that I really began to feel it," He placed his hand on his forehead almost feeling like his red blush would turn into a fever.

Killua kneeled, leaning towards that hand resting on his forehead landing a soft peck. He steady his heart from his flustered-ness and lightly pushed his hand more to Killua who didn't remove herself at all. He swerved his hand gently, cupping Killua's cheek and pulled her towards him as he connected his lips with hers.

It was done softly and with so much love and care as he wrapped his arm around her waist and she fully embraced him back with both arms feeling the warmth of his skin, the rapid beating of her heart, the way she kissed him back wanting even more. Hoping that even in this very moment that their delicate touches could last forever.

They eventually pulled away then glanced at each other lovingly with a wondrous smile.

His smile was the kind that Killua always loved to see. It was tender and kind and she knew it was all for her. "Killua, do you really want me?"

She smiled sincerely in return. "More than the entire world."
