This is the first chapter based on 'The Great Divide.' Now you're probably saying 'Why are you making an arc based on what is probably the least interesting episode in the show?' Trust me, I have plans for this.

Chapter 38 Fighting [Saving Kingdoms Extra: That doesn't sound good.]
Ben's POV
The Next Evening
The VKs friends were setting up a tent when the AKs arrived with firewood.
"Aren't you forgetting the tarp", Audrey asked.
"Oh yeah", Jay said before grabbing the tarp...and throwing it into the tent.
"Um", Chad started. "Jay, you do realise that the tarp is supposed to go at the top of the tent? You know, in case it rains."
"Usually you'd be right Chad", Jay stated. "However, it is dry season. And the tarp makes a nice blanket."
"We have plenty of blankets", Chad pointed out. "And what if it does rain?"
"Yeah", Audrey said. "I don't want to ruin my pyjamas."
"Oh come one you AK wimps", Jay said. "A little rain isn't going to hurt anyone!"
"What did you call me", Chad asked angrily.
"Woah woah woah", I said before getting in between Jay and Chad. "Let's all calm down. Jay, I'll put up the tarp so you don't have to and nobody has to be worried about getting rained on."
"Don't do that Ben", Chad commanded. "It was the VKs job to put up the tent!"
"Exactly", Jay stated. "So you have to accept how we put it up!"
"Enough", I yelled. "Jay, over there! Chad, over there! You guys are on time out!"
"What", Chad yelled.
"We're not kids Ben", Jay pointed out.
"Well you guys are acting like them", Ben stated. "So I'm going to treat you like them! Go, now!"
With that Chad and Jay glared at each other before leaving.
"Way to act all tough Ben", Mal said.
"I don't like being the bad guy", Ben revealed.
"Sometimes you have to when you're a leader." [Saving Kingdoms Extra: She has a point Ben.]
The Next Day
My friends and I were at a huge canyon!
"Here it is guys", I said. "The Great Divide! The largest canyon in Auradon!" [Saving Kingdoms Extra: I know. I know. I couldn't come up with a new name. Naming things is hard okay!]
"Wow", Jane said in awe. "It's amazing!"
"Okay", Jay said. "I've see enough."
"Really Jay", Audrey asked.
"It's just a giant whole in the ground", Jay stated. "It's not a big deal." [Saving Kingdoms Extra: It is a big deal! Literally!]
Before anything else could happen...a teenage girl run up to us.
She had long, beach blonde hair that was wavy and tied into a ponytail; ocean blue eyes and tan skin.
She was wearing a white, short sleeved top with a gold, metallic sun on it; baby blue jean shorts; white trainers and a necklace with the Hawaiian symbol for friendship on it. [Saving Kingdoms Extra: Hawaiian symbol of friendship. Ring any bells?]
"Hey", she started. "If you're looking for the canyon guide, my group and I were here first!"
"Canyon guide", Mal asked in confusion.
"It's too dangerous to go into the canyon without a trained guide", I revealed.
"Don't worry", Jane said to the girl. "Your group can go first."
"Jane", Audrey said.
"They were here first Audrey", Jane pointed out. "So we'll just have to wait for our turn." [Saving Kingdoms Extra: She's right Audrey.]
Then...a group of kids dressed in biker clothes walked up to us.
"Is that your group", I asked the teenage girl.
"Absolutely not", she replied. "Those are the Roadents! A biker group."
"Cool", Jay stated.
"It is not cool", the teenage girl stated before walking up to a boy.
He had short black hair styled into a bridge, dark brown eyes and pale skin.
He was wearing a blood red, short sleeved shirt; black jeans; black combat boots; a black, long sleeved leather jacket with a popped up collar and what I could only assume was the Roadents logo on it in white on the back and black, wrist length, leather, fingerless gloves.
Then...he said something that shocked me.
"Well well well", he started. "If it isn't my little sister Summer." [Saving Kingdoms Extra: (does spit take) Little Sister?!]
With that...we all looked the the two in shock.
Sister?
"Five minutes", the girl (who I now knew was named Summer) said. "You are only five minutes older than me Liam, and yet, you always take any chance you can to bring it up!"
"It's because I know it annoys you", the boy (who I now knew was named Liam) revealed.
Before anything else could happen...a man walked up to us.
"Hello everybody", he greeted. "I'll be your guide through the canyon! Now, which group is going first?"
With that Summer ran up to the guide.
"Please wait sir", she pleaded. "My group is on their way!"
"I'm sorry miss", the guide apologised. "But I can't guide a group that isn't here."
"Ha ha", Liam mocked as he walked up to Summer. "Looks like you'll have to make the trip tomorrow."
Before anything else could happen...a group of kids dressed in Summer clothes arrived.
"There they are", Summer said happily. "There's my group!"
"No fair", Liam stated. "My whole group got here first! There's only one way to decide this."
"I agree", Summer said. "A song off!"
"Huh", I said in confusion.
"Let's flip a coin to see who gets to go first", Summer said before taking out said item. "Heads or tails Liam?"
"Tails."
With that Summer flipped the coin.
"Darn it", she yelled. "It's tails." [Saving Kingdoms Extra: I actually used Siri to decide this.]
"Alright", Liam said before looking at his friends. "Alright guys. I think you know what song we're performing."
With that Summer groaned.
"Sadly, I do too."
With that Liam and his friends performed 'Through Fire and Flames.'
When it was done...all the VKs broke into a loud applause!
"That was amazing", Mal stated.
"You liked that", Audrey asked in shock.
"Yeah", Jane said in fear. "It was scary!"
"Wimps", Jay stated.
"Hey", Chad yelled.
"Enough", Summer commanded. "It's our turn."
With that Summer and her friends sang 'Superstar.' [Saving Kingdoms Extra: This is from Make It Pop. You should read my Make It Pop fan fiction 'Make It Pop Season 3.' #ShamelessPlug.]
When they were done...all the AKs broke into a loud applause.
Summer and Liam then walked up to the guide.
"So", the former started. "Who are you gonna take down?"
"Look guys", the guide started. "I can't pick who goes down based on who sang better."
"But it was me right", Liam asked.
"No", Summer started. "It was me!"
With that Summer and Liam started arguing.
"This is ridiculous", Jay stated.
"I know right", Chad agreed. "I mean, Summer and her friends obviously won."
"What", Jay asked in shock. "No way. It was definitely Liam and his group."
"No", Chad started. "It was Summer!"
"It was Liam!"
"Summer!"
"Liam!"
With that Jay and Chad started arguing!
"Oh boy", Mal said before looking at me. "Ben, looks like you'll have to be the bad guy again."
With that I sighed sadly.
"You're right", I stated.
Then I walked in between the groups and took a deep breath.
"SHUT IT!" [Saving Kingdoms Extra: Got that from Brave.]
This made everybody stop fighting and look at me in shock.
"That is enough", I stated. "We will all go down into the canyon together!"
"What", Summer asked before walking up to me. "No way am I going into a canyon with him!"
"For once we agree on something", Liam said.
"You can and you will", I commanded. "Am I making myself clear?"
"But..."
"Am I making myself clear?"
With that Summer and Liam sighed sadly.
"Yes King Ben", they said in union.
"Good", I said before walking up to the guide. "I am very sorry about this."
"I am too."
"Huh", I said in confusion. "Why would you be sorry?"
"Because what I'm about to say may make things bad again", the guide revealed before walking up to everybody. "Bad news everybody. No food allowed in the canyon. It attracts predators!"
"What", Audrey asked before walking up to the guide. "You want us to walk through the whole canyon without food?!"
"That's why there's a nice restaurant at the other end of the canyon", the guide revealed.
"This is not something a princess should be doing", Audrey stated.
"Come on princess", Mal said. "You can go one day without food."
