No Rest For The Wicked

Chapter 38

Allana sat down in the living room with Dean and Harli and Callum as Rowan slept after taking the abortion pills. Her heart broke for Rick and Rowan.

Hershel came in and sat down next to her. "Are you alright?" He asked softly.

She shook her head. "After what happened in Woodbury... I thought I'd never trust a man again," she admitted quietly. "For a while I let my guard down, but now this happened to Rowan, I realize there are still people out there who aren't as good as you lot."

Hershel hugged her. "We'll help her get through this as a family." He said as a shattered Rick came in the room, his black curls looked messy and his face looked pale.

"Are you OK?" Hershel asked him concerned.

Rick shook his head and sat down. "She took the pills."

Shocked gasps were heard through the room. "How is she?" Allana asked as Daryl sat down next to her.

"Not so great," Rick said sadly. "She wanted to be alone for a bit."

"We'll help her get through this," Daryl said softly.

Rick nodded in thanks. "I want to kill the men who did this to my girl." He said darkly.

"They'll pay for what they did," Morgan assured his friend. "But you and Rowan need to rest for a couple of days. You're not fit to go after them like this."

Rick nodded and watched as Judith cuddled into his side as he fell asleep with Callum on his other side.

"Poor guy." James said sadly.

"Let's leave him be," Hershel said sadly. "He looks like he could do with the sleep."

Everyone nodded and followed Hershel out of the room.

They all went their separate ways in the house.

Allana went into the kitchen, and looked around, finding an old bottle of whiskey in one of the cupboards. She sneaked it out, and went upstairs to her room, where she sat down on the bed, taking a long drink from the bottle, and feeling the burn as it washed down her throat, her fingers gripping to it tightly.

She gulped the whisky down as Daryl came in the room and gently took it from her hands.

"It won't do ya any good, darlin'," he said softly, as he brushed his fingers over her cheek.

She reached out for the bottle. "I don't care. Give me it back, Daryl."

"No I ain't giving it to ya." He said and Allana broke down in tears

"Oh, baby, no, shh," he said softly, hugging her tightly to him.

She placed a hand on his chest, and pushed him away. "No, Daryl! I just want to forget about what's happened," she choked out.

Daryl looked at her as he kissed her hard on the lips. "I won't let anyone touch ya." He said roughly

She looked into his eyes, and he could see the unease on her face, as he rested his forehead against hers, and kissed her again, longer this time. "I promise Allana. But ya can't pull away from me here."

Allana nodded. "Just hold me Daryl, please." She said softly.

He pulled her over to him, and sat her in his lap, as he ran his hand gently up and down her back. "Ya need ta talk to me if yer upset," he said quietly. "Not hit the whisky. I'm yer husband; I should be able to help ya."

Allana nodded. "It's just that I can see myself in Rowan's place." She said shakily.

"And I hate those men in Woodbury for what they did to ya, and I know everythin' with the baby was hard," Daryl said quietly. "But yer safe here now. I'd never hurt ya. Ya do know that, don't ya?"

"I know you won't and I love you Daryl." She said quietly

"I love ya too, Allana," he said softly, as he leaned forward to kiss her passionately, his hand resting on the back of her neck. "I'll love ya forever."

She kissed him back as she lay in his warm, protective embrace.

He looked deeply into her emerald eyes, still a small spark of life hidden behind the sadness and fear, as he held onto her. "Yer beautiful, Allana Dixon."

Allana cupped his face in her hands as she looked at him deeply. "You're beautiful Daryl Dixon." She said lovingly, kissing him.

"Yeah right," Daryl chuckled as he ran a hand through her hair.

A small smiled formed on her face. "Yeah. I am right."

Daryl smiled at her as they both fell asleep.

Carol knocked on their door a couple of hours later with plates of dinner for them each. They took it gratefully and Allana got up to feed Lily, Harli and Dean. "How is Rowan doing?" Allana asked Carol softly.

Carol looked sad, "Not very well, she feels terrible about taking the pills and thinks we hate her." She said sadly.

Allana shook her head. "Poor Rowan. I think I'm gonna go see her."

Carol nodded. "She could do with seeing you two." She said softly

Allana nodded and walked to Rowan's room, leaving Carol with the kids. She knocked on the door and cautiously went in, sitting on the chair next to Rowan's bed. "Hey, sweetie. How are you feeling?"

"Like shit, I feel horrible." She whispered looking upset at what she had done.

"You two must hate me."

Allana shook her head, and pulled Rowan into a hug. "Why would we hate you, sweetie?"

"Because I killed the baby and oh god I feel so ashamed." She broke down crying.

"No, Rowan, it's OK," Allana said holding her tightly.

"After you two lost the baby, I go and do something like that. I feel so selfish," Rowan choked out,

"No, Rowan, stop it. That wasn't what you wanted, and it doesn't have anything to do with us. If you didn't want that baby, we understand. I respect your decision, OK?"

Daryl took her hand. "None of this is ya fault." He added quietly.

"But you wanted that baby so bad, Allana," Rowan sobbed.

Allana lowered her head. "It wasn't your fault we lost it, Rowan. And we have beautiful twins now."

She nodded. "Why me?" She asked falling asleep.

Allana looked at her sleeping form, and swallowed. "I asked myself the same thing so many times."

Daryl pulled his arms around her. "I'm so proud of ya."

"Rowan feeling bad about herself isn't going to make things any better," Allana shrugged as she stood up, and wiped at her eyes. "I want to go to bed."

Daryl nodded. "I'm gonna kill the bastard who hurt my sister."

"Not unless you get to him before Rick," Allana said quietly, as they went to their room. She checked on the kids, and got out of the dress she was wearing. "I'm going to take a shower," she muttered tiredly, going into the bathroom and closing the door behind her.

She put the hot water on and stood under the hot feeling her eyes burn as memories of Woodbury haunted her.

She could remember the men's hand on her, making her feel so ashamed and dirty, and she desperately rubbed at her skin under the water, turning it red, as she tried to get the feeling away.

"You've got to stop this Allana; your best friend needs you." She told herself as she dried herself off.

She pulled her wet hair back into a ponytail, and slipped on a black nightgown, as she left the bathroom, and went back into her bedroom.

She walked over to where her children slept and stood there watching over them.

"I love you, Lily. And Harli. And Dean," Allana said quietly, as she kissed them all on the forehead. "My little angels."

She stroked their foreheads before getting under the sheets and falling into a dreamless sleep.

Carly, Sarah, Elle and Jamie made breakfast the next morning, and took up a plate to Rowan, who was sitting up in bed, staring out the window. "Are you feeling better, mommy Rowan?" Elle asked quietly.

Rowan smiled at her sadly as she took the tray. "No sweetie not yet." She said quietly hugging them al as Rick came in.

"Hey, sweetheart," he said, giving Rowan a soft kiss on the cheek. "Hey, girls," Rick gave them all a weak smile. "How is everyone?"

"We're fine daddy Rick." Sarah said softly.

"That's good," Rick said softly, pulling them all into a hug on the bed.

Allana was up and in the kitchen with Carol while Daryl and James looked over a map.

She watched Lily playing with Judith, and was suddenly filled with fear that the men were going to come back before they got to them. Maybe if she could go back to the cabin and check out what they were dealing with without anyone else knowing, they could form a better plan. She excused herself from the kitchen and went to their storeroom.

Allana filled her bag with some knives, and her gun, and put the car keys in her pocket as she made her way to the door. She tried to sneak out, before she heard someone clearing their throat behind her.

"Allana, where are you going?" James asked confused. "You're meant to be with someone at all times."

Allana sighed quietly. "I want to go find the men who did this to Rowan. I want to find them, and I want to make them pay. But no one else would think it's a good idea, so I'm going alone. I can't get hurt like everyone else can. I can heal."

James shook his head. "I don't think that's a good idea. I can't let you go yourself."

"Well, come with me then," Allana suggested. "Either you're with me or I'll go alone, but I'm not going to sit around and wait for them to attack us again. What if they got one of the children this time? I'm not taking the chance."

James sighed heavily as he got in the car next to her, "Daryl is going to kill me." He said as they drove down to the cabin.

"What Daryl doesn't know won't kill him." She said as they got out and studied the property carefully. "Someone's been here recently." She said seeing footprints.

"Oh my god." James gasped and she turned to see a young woman's body on the porch of the cabin, she was dead but what had happened to her body was horrific.

"Allana, you stay close to me, alright?" James instructed firmly, as he pulled out his gun.

She nodded but walked ahead anyway, starting to inspect the cabin.

"It's like talking to a brick wall," James muttered as he followed her.

"There's no one here." She whispered to him as they looked around and then ran back to the car when they heard moaning.

Walkers.

"Let me deal with them," Allana asked, as she threw the car keys to James.

"No, Allana, I'm here to keep you safe." James said, shaking his head.

"And I'm safer doing this myself. They don't bother me the same. Just get into the car, and lock the doors, alright?"

James sighed but did as Allana told him and Allana ran towards the walkers and began to lure them to an abandoned building.

She lured them in and got into the car as James drove back.

They pulled the car up the drive and got out, closing the doors as quietly as they could, hoping they wouldn't be detected. Unfortunately, they'd seen Martinez and Glenn staring at them from out the window.

They walked into the kitchen, as Allana felt a hand wrap around her wrist and roughly pull her away. Daryl dragged her into the empty dining room, and slammed the door shut behind him. "Where the fuck were ya?!" he snarled.

"I wanted to see where those men were hiding and we found out they were hiding out in the cabin, they killed a woman and... mutilated her." She said calmly.

"Jesus fuckin' Christ, Allana! Ya didn't stop for one minute to think they mighta done that to ya too if they caught ya?! Killed ya, raped ya, mutilated ya too?!" Daryl yelled.

"But I wasn't caught." Allana replied quietly.

"That ain't the fuckin' point, Allana!" Daryl roared at her.

"Please stop shouting at mommy," they both looked around to see Carly at the door, her bottom lip trembling after having walked into the dining room by accident.

Daryl looked ashamed of himself and walked over to Carly. "I'm sorry, I upset ya Carly." He said and Allana could hear the guilt in his voice and walked over to them.

"It's ok Daryl." She said softly.

He looked up at her sadly. "I just wish ya'd talk to me. I woulda come with ya. I feel like I'm losing my wife."

Allana felt ashamed of herself, she didn't want to end up like her mother. "You're not Daryl, its just I want to make those men pay." She said quietly.

"I know ya do, I do too. But I feel like I barely ever get ta see ya or talk to ya these days," he admitted quietly, "I want to spend some time with ya, away from all the shit goin' on."

"And we will." She promised and she meant it as they left the room.

"So Daryl tells us the two of you went back to the cabin," Martinez said quietly. "What did you find there?"

James sighed. "We searched the cabin and found fresh tyre tracks in the road and we found a body. It was a woman and she'd been mutilated." He said still shaken.

"What do you mean?" Maggie asked concerned.

"It's like they had cut her limbs off for something," James said sadly. "Like the rest of her body had been useless."

Morgan looked at them all. "When Duane and I were out on the road alone, we heard some stories from other people, about a group that did that sort of thing to their victims. They were cannibals."

"The Hunters." Allana recognised the name instantly.

Daryl looked at her. "Ya heard of them?" He asked curiously.

"After I left Woodbury and I was on my own, I heard a few stories about them," Allana said quietly. "I was told to keep away from them."

"They eat people and they were probably the ones who attacked Rowan." Duane said quietly as a terrified Sarah came in.

"Mommy, there's a man near the woods, can I bring the animals in with Carly please?" She begged.

"No, don't go outside yourselves!" Allana warned, "Everyone will go together," she said, standing up. "There's safety in numbers. Let's go."

They all went outside and got the animals in with Maggie bringing in the horses to the indoor stables while Sarah and Carly brought in the hedgehogs.

"Put them in a box, and make sure they're safe in the storeroom," Hershel advised.

Daryl and Morgan checked around the fence for anyone, but couldn't see the man. "Everyone just stays indoors for the rest of the night," Daryl instructed. "Lock the doors."

They all nodded and Daryl saw how scared Sarah looked as Rowan came down the stairs looking worried.

"What's going on?"

"Nothing to worry about," Daryl said quietly. "We got everythin' under control here. It's good to see you up again," he gave her a small smile.

Rowan smiled back at him weakly, "Thank you." She said as Rick came over along with the others.

"Shall we have dinner?" Carol asked as everyone sat down at the table.

They all nodded and sat down when Glenn spoke.

"What do they want from us?"

"I don't know. To eat us, I guess?" Maggie said quietly.

Beth looked at her sister. "That's not funny, Maggie."

"I wasn't joking."

Sarah suddenly busted into tears causing everyone to freeze in worry and alarm.

"I don't want to lose any of our family." She sobbed.

"You're not going to," Maggie promised, pulling her into a hug.

"Maybe we should stop talking about this for now," Carol suggested. "We're scaring the children."

Rowan nodded. "I'm fine now and I'm not feeling sorry for myself ok." She assured everyone as they changed the topic.

"Rowan, don't worry about it," Hershel said softly.

"So, do the hedgehogs have names too?" Dan asked Carly.

Carly nodded. "The first two are Kol and Sin."

"The others are Prickles, Bubbles and the last one..." a wide grin crossed her face."Is Sonic."

Daryl chuckled. "Merle and I used to play Sonic the Hedgehog when we were kids."

Rowan laughed. "Martinez, me and Allana would watch the cartoon." She said softly.

Everyone was laughing when gunshots were heard.

"Everyone down," Daryl yelled, as he pushed Allana to the ground in front of him. "Where are the kids?"

"Upstairs," she said quickly, as she felt about her belt for her gun.

Daryl nodded as he ran upstairs to get them and ran into their room and grabbed them with Allana picking up Lily as they ran downstairs to see Rowan had gotten Judith.

The dogs were growling low in their throats while the cats hissed at the noises.

Everyone gathered in the sitting room. "It's too dangerous to go out there," James said quietly, as Rick was holding on tightly to Rowan, too worried about her to do anything else. "It's dark now, and we don't know how many of them there are. Maybe we should just sit tight for a bit, and hope that they pass?"

Rick nodded and they all sat down with Allana holding her children tightly as they heard cars pulling up.

"Oh fuck, get the lights," Glenn panicked.

"Mommy, I'm scared," Carly sobbed into Allana's shoulder.

"It'll be alright, sweetie," Allana said, although inside she was terrified.

Rick made a signal for Morgan, Glenn, Axel and James to join him guarding the door.

Rowan hugged Carl, Judith and Callum tightly to her as she met Allana's eyes; Dan pulled Carly to him and soothed her while the boys tried to comfort their family.

"At least the horses are inside the house too." Jaime whispered to Beth.

Beth nodded. "They'll be alright."

Allana held Harli and Dean tightly to her, rocking them so they wouldn't cry, as Lily sat on her lap. "You want a hand there?" Carol whispered as she sat next to her.

Allana nodded, "I'm so scared Carol." She whispered as Carol gently took Dean in her arms as she rocked him when Axel crawled over.

"We'll be ok little lady." He assured them.

Allana nodded her head to try and be strong for the kids. "I know."

Morgan looked at them all, "I'll be dammed if they hurt this family." He said grimly, holding his sniper rifle.

"Don't shoot at them," Daryl advised. "If every car was full, we could be outnumbered. They'd slaughter us all."

"Let's hope they leave soon," Glenn whispered quietly, holding Maggie to him.

Rick heard yelling as a voice shouted out.

"ANYONE THERE?!"

He put a finger to his lips, silencing everyone. Lily began to coo at Judith, but Allana quickly clamped a hand over her mouth.

They heard another voice. "Come on Grant, we'll come back in the morning. It's too dark to see anyone in this place right now."

They heard grumbled voices as the cars began to drive away from the house.

"Thank god." Beth said hugging Allana.

"No, not thank god," Morgan said shaking his head. "Didn't y'all hear them? They said they'd be back in the damn morning! What are we gonna do then?"

The whole room went tense. "I think we might have to leave." Hershel said quietly.

"What about Sasha?" Allana asked worried as she hugged Sasha.

"We have Dan with us. As long as she's looked after she'll be alright." Hershel replied. "If James and Dan are willing to come with us that is."

James thought about it for a minute. "Of course we are."

Allana pushed herself to her feet and left the room. She walked up to her bedroom, and sat down on the bed. They had just painted up the place, and decorated it, for the children too. The thought of leaving their home again broke her heart.

Daryl walked into the room and pulled her into him. "I know ya don't wanna leave, I sure as hell don't." He said kissing her forehead.

"This is home, Daryl." She said quietly, as she buried her head into him, and allowed him to comfort her. "If we leave here, they've won."

"I know darlin', Rick and the others are trying to figure out a plan." He said quietly.

She nodded, as she brought her hand up to stroke his cheek gently. "I'm sorry I've been ignoring you, baby. If you feel like I've been pushing you away."

Daryl nuzzled her softly. "I know ya ain't ignoring me darlin." He said softly as Maggie came in.

"Rick has a plan."

"Come on," he said, taking Allana's hand and leading her back downstairs. They sat in the sitting room, as Rick looked at them all.

"Here's what we do."

"We stay inside the house tomorrow morning and when they come, I come out and ask them who they are and if they fire we kill them." He said looking at them all.

"You think that'll work?" Allana asked quietly.

Rick shrugged. "It's all we've got. I know no one wants to leave our home again."

They all nodded and went up to bed with Rick holding Rowan tightly.

Allana balanced Harli on one arm and Dean on the other as she went into her room, with Lily crawling at her feet. She put them into their cribs and tucked them all in. "You'll be safe, angels. Don't worry," she said softly, as she kissed them all on the forehead.

They cooed at her as they all fell asleep and Allana walked over to Daryl as she put on her black nightgown.

"I wish I worried as little as they do," she smiled softly, as she sat on the edge of the bed, and watched her children.

"So do I." Daryl said as he pulled on a pair of sweats and a t-shirt and pulled her into him as they watched their children.

She smiled up at him, as she slipped her hands into his t-shirt and wrapped them around his waist, as she leaned up to kiss him softly. "We'll be OK."

Daryl kissed her hard as he turned off the light and pulled up her night gown around her waist as he pulled off his sweat pants.

"I want to make love to ya." He said kissing her neck.

She nodded her head gently, as he laid her back on the bed, pulling a blanket over the top of them. Her hands pulled his t-shirt over his head and chucked it to the side, as he nipped at her collarbone.

She pushed her breasts up at him as he nipped at her chest and took her right nipple into his warm, hot, mouth and sucked hard on the hard bud causing her to moan heavily.

"Daryl inside me, please." She gasped.

"Hold on, baby," he said softly, as he ran a hand up her side. "I told ya I wanted to spend time with ya. I'm gonna take my time here," he said, as he began to kiss a trail down her stomach.

Allana moaned as his tongue probed her slick, wet folds as he suckled them making her cry out in pleasure when he pinched her clit.

Her breathing was heavy, as her hands tangled in his hair, and her legs clamped down around his shoulders. She whimpered in pleasure as he teased her with his tongue, his hands running up the inside of her thighs. "Oh God, Daryl."

He grinned as he felt her come all over his mouth and he licked his lips, groaning at the taste as he slid inside her. Daryl grabbed her hands with his own as he slammed into her tight walls.

"Daryl," she gasped out his name as he began to move, her hands squeezing his tightly.

"I'm right here, Allana," he whispered as he sucked on her neck. "Oh fuck, baby."

Allana moaned as their hips rocked against each others and she felt him growl in the crook of her neck as he tried not to come before her.

"Fuck." He hissed out and thrusted harder into her.

She gripped his waist tightly, as she raised her hips up to meet his every thrust, knowing by now how each other worked. She tightened her legs around him and tried to bring him closer, sweat running down their bodies.

"Come on, girl," Daryl whispered as he tried to hold back.

Allana tilted her head back, her red curls flowing over the pillows as she came crying out his name in pleasure.

Daryl watched the beauty on her face as her orgasm washed over her, gripping her body tightly as he continued to thrust into her. "Good girl."

He groaned in pleasure as he came inside her shooting his hot seed into her warm womb as he crumpled on top of her, his body slick with sweat.

Once he had regained enough energy, he rolled himself off her, so as not to hurt her, and pulled her in closely to him, their naked bodies still intertwined. She reached up to push the hairs away that had stuck to his face, as she smiled softly at him. "Hey there."

Daryl smiled at her, "Hey." He said quietly as he kissed her nose.

They lay silent, simply holding each other until their breathing returned to a normal rate. "Do you think there are a lot of them?" Allana asked quietly, running a finger over the tattoo he had above his heart. "The men that attacked us, I mean."

"Hey, I thought we weren't going to talk about this?" he asked softly, as he buried his nose into her hair. "This is us time."

"I know and I'm sorry but I just worry." She said laying her head on his chest so she could listen to his steady heartbeat.

"We're gonna be fine Allana." Daryl promised her.

"Maybe one day there will be no one to terrorize us and our kids can grow up completely safe," she said quietly, knowing that in today's world, that was probably wishful thinking.

Daryl smiled down at her, "As long as I'm here, you an' the kids will always be safe."

She nodded. "I love you." She whispered.

"I love ya too." He said and kissed her softly as they both fell asleep.

Rick knocked on everyone's doors the next morning, to get them up and prepared for the men that were coming for them.

They all got up and brought the kids into the living room as Carol and Allana made them breakfast as they got ready.

Carly was hugging Ghost to her tightly as the cats cuddled into her.

"Are we going to be alright, mommy?" Carly asked quietly.

Allana gave her a small smile as she ruffled her hair. "Of course we are, Carly. Me or your daddy won't let anyone hurt you."

Carly nodded at her as they heard cars approaching the house.

"They're here." Daryl said walking over to Allana and their children.

Allana picked up Harli and Lily, as Daryl took Dean. He led them over to a corner of the sitting room, and sat down with them. "Stay with us, Daryl?"

"Ya ain't even gotta ask. But if Rick needs help, I'll need to leave ya for a bit."

Allana nodded. "That's fine." She said softly as she kissed him.

Rowan held Rick, Carl, Judith and Callum to her tightly as they all held on to each other.

"Please be careful Rick, I can't handle it if anything happens to you." She said into his neck.

"I'll be alright," Rick assured her, as he squeezed her hand. "But if anything did happen, I need you to take care of the kids alright? I love you, Rowan."

She nodded. "I promise and I love you too Rick." She said kissing him softly.

Rick got up, and made his way to the front door, before anyone stated to fire gunshots. He opened the door, and several men turned around to look at him. Rick cleared his throat so his voice was loud and firm. "Who are you, and what do you want?"

"My name's Grant and our group are called the Hunters and we were just wondering if your group had any supplies that we could use seeing as this is a rough winter?" The leader said. He had dark brown hair and dark brown eyes with pale skin.

"I'm sorry but my group needs the supplies more." Rick said firmly.

Rowan went still, her face losing the entire colour she regained as she recognised that voice.

"Don't move bitch." The voice said in her head.

Her breathing came faster, and her face went white, as Allana and Daryl looked at her in concern.

"Hershel," Allana whispered, trying to draw the man's attention without alerting the men at the door. "We need your help."

Hershel came over as slowly as he could and sat next to Rowan. "She's having a panic attack."

Rowan clutched Callum tightly in her arms as her light blue eyes looked at them.

"That's the man who raped me at that warehouse. I remember his voice." She choked looking terrified.

Allana wrapped an arm around her, "It's ok Rowan, its ok." She tried to comfort her friend.

"Oh god, Rick's out there with him." She panicked.

"He'll be alright," Hershel tried to assure her. "He won't do anything stupid."

Daryl looked around them all. "I'm going out there."

Rick saw that the leader was getting angry, "So you won't give us any supplies?" He asked angry.

"No I won't, my group need that." He said firmly as Daryl came out to stand next to him.

"Alright, maybe we'll just have to take them then," the man sneered, making Rick and Daryl back up. "Maybe we can get us a fine woman in there too."

Rick felt his blood boil in rage as he thought of Rowan.

"You won't be getting anywhere near them." He snarled at Mark who sneered at him.

"WALKERS!" One of his men yelled.

"Oh, fuck, let's get out of here boys," he yelled as they all got into their cars. "We'll be back."

Rick and Daryl hurried inside to warn the others of the herd coming their way.

"There's a herd of walkers coming near the house so don't do anything loud." Daryl said as Rick saw a white faced Rowan running towards him.

"It was him, it was him." She sobbed into his chest.

"I shoulda killed that bastard," Rick growled as he held Rowan tightly to him.

Hershel shook his head. "You did the right thing. If you had shot at him, we would all have been dead."

"Hershel's right, what did they want Rick?" Daryl asked.

"They wanted our supplies and when I said no, the leader called Mark got pissed off and said that they'd just force their way in and... take a woman." He said as he held Rowan tighter.

Daryl held Allana and their children tightly to him. "That ain't gonna happen. So what's the plan now? We gotta find a way to kill 'em?"

Rick nodded. "Yeah but I'm worried about how many of their group is." He said worried.

Axel looked worried. "What do we do?"

"I'm not entirely sure," Rick said tiredly. "Maybe we should have a vote? All those who think we should stay and fight, raise your hands."

Everyone's hands were raised shocking Rick.

Rick felt his heart ache a little when he seen even the children had raised their hands, desperate not to lose their home again. He let out a small sigh. "Alright then. If we're going to do this, we need a plan."

They all nodded and started discussing what to do.
