I do not own any of the characters or ideas created by Kishimoto Masashi. However Sayo and my original story line belong to me.

Thank you for your vouch of confidence 4DarkMirror6, here's the time skip you wanted. And gunslayer12 your question is the one which Sayo has been searching for so very long, and it will be her greatest motivation in the future to come :)!

...three months later...

Sayo was very cautious throughout her entire journey through the village to make sure that neither one of those glaring villagers would come across her and spill the beans to her father. With their current relationship she wouldn't be surprised if he snapped especially after everything which she had managed to achieve. She had succeeded in casing pandemonium during one of the busiest market days when she had released a stampede of toros to run amuck across the entire village. Then she along with the one person who she was beginning to trust above everyone else in her life had worked together with the mass loads of paint he had acquired to completely drench the village buildings in long lasting paint. A smirk appeared appeared across her face to remember just how much money had to spent out on fixing the mess. And to top it all of, she had caught her father peeping at women in the bathhouse and rather then simply ignore his grotesque hobby or cooping mechanism perhaps, she had used her elusive tactics to expose his transparency technique and humiliate him by making his presence known to all of the shinobi who were crossing by. And, as a result, she wouldn't be surprised if her father's increasing irritation was due to the fact that he had completely lost his control and suffered public embarrassment by her hand alone.

It's not as if he would raise his hand to me or anything, he's too proud to do something like that.

...

Some time later Sayo found her accomplice coming into sight and with his blonde hair and blue eyes and beaming face, he was none other then...

"Naruto...it's not like you to come so early to anything"

Her friend was clad in orange trousers and a black T-shirt with an orange swirl. And before she knew it, he put his arm back and made the motion as if to scratch the back of his head and across his face appear an embarrassed blush.

"Well I thought it would be important to be on time so that we can execute our plan"

Even though Naruto was six month older then her, it seemed as if her speaking habits were rubbing off on him and she wondered if her godfather was noticing the change.

Sayo glanced towards the ground and she gulped knowing too well that for her plan to work, they only had one chance to succeed in pulling of the biggest pranks in the entire history of Konoha.

"Are you okay with helping me?" Sayo asked in an unsteady voice and watched the smile on her friend's face grew even larger and she saw his nod.

"Yes...yes..."

And then she felt Naruto taking her hands into his own and it caused her to look deep into his calming eyes.

"...I'm your friend Sayo and I don't want you to act or think any differently because I'm not as clever as you are"

Sayo found herself being stunned speechless at how sincere her accomplice's words were and it made her feel all warm inside.

"Come on lets go somewhere where they can't see us"

...

"So the hokage heads then?"

Naruto had dragged them to one of the currently unused training fields and Sayo was surprised at how easily he had managed to figure out what she had in mind for the prank they were going to pull off.

Sayo nodded still trying to find ways in which they could acquire the materials they needed and then she voiced her concern when she saw Naruto's querying face.

"I'm thinking of using paper bombs and sealed paint explosion"

And then suddenly Naruto had became to jump and down in a frenzy and whooped in excitement.

"Yes, yes, yes, yes...you're better at planning these pranks then I am"

Sayo could not help but smile at her friend's remark and wondered where Naruto got all his energy from, when hers made it difficult for her to ignore her father's pushing demands for her to take her daily naps.

"There is only one problem...Naruto"

The young spiky blonde haired boy immediately stopped in his tracks and gazed towards her with curious eyes.

"What's...what's wrong?" he managed to word.

Sayo took a deep breath and responded:

"Well to execute our plan we need access to the materials and I am quite sure that under strict orders of my father, my mother nor Shizune would let me access the private stock we have at home"

Her deep thoughts was interrupted by Naruto who had burst into carefree laughter.

"It's it obvious Sayo...?"

Sayo titled her head in confusion and then she heard his answer.

He immediately jumped into a forward stance and lifted up his hand and clenching it:

"All we have to do is get into the Academy"

...

Their tranquility was suddenly interrupted by none other they the sound of multiple kunai hitting training posts and this was the first time that they were alerted to another's presence. And as Sayo and Naruto approached the other end of the training grounds, they saw a tall man clad in the standard Konoha shinobi outfit. They saw his bandanna style forehead protector and eventually dark hair, brown eyes and sunglasses...once they began to approach him. And soon after he noticed them and Sayo knew that she would have to work quickly to get what she desired.

"Sayo Monogatari-Senju, Naruto Namikazae...what would two young ones such as yourselves be doing in a such a dangerous place?"

His tone was not patronising like most the adults she encountered were but rather it was spiked with a certain amount of curiosity and true concern. And Sayo could not comprehend what was so dangerous about being in such empty fields until the jounin answered his own question:

"It's not safe for two five year olds to be out in these ninja training fields with the appropriate adult supervision"

Sayo was caught between her desire to gag at the idea of being under the watchful eye of her father and for her father to find out what she and Naruto were up to before their plan could come into fruition.

And then she knew what she had to say:

"Well we couldn't help but admire the incredible proficiency you have in your kunai throwing"

Sayo could not help but notice the slight smirk appearing across Naruto's face and she made sure to keep her face neutral as she saw the shinobi's face. And sooner rather then later, she and Naruto saw his face erupt in pure pride and rather then grimace at such a distasteful action, she chose to listen to his next words of self praise.

"Well I am one of the elite shinobi...perfection is expected of me"

Sayo forced herself to smile and she proceeded to ask him questions regarding the academy, as Naruto seemed to be fidgeting more and more and more.

"So I suppose such a high class ninja such as yourself has seen and assisted many academy students rise into powerful positions within the shinobi world?"

A blush appeared on his seemingly never ending serious face and Sayo knew that he was becoming putty in her hands.

"Yes...yes...I've seen a few"

She observed his nervous laugh and gleeful face, and she was distracted by none other then Naruto tugging at her dark blue sleeve and Sayo took a deep breath.

"So I suppose you have been granted exclusive access to the academy, right?"

The man who she recalled from the ninja records as being Ebisu nodded all too happily, in complete unawares that she was gradually succeeded in leading him into their trap.

"Of course" he responded seemingly having forgotten about his worry about two underage citizens of Konoha being present within the training grounds.

"And would such a grand ninja such as yourself find a few moments to give two potential students a tour of their future place of learning"

Ebisu's face became serious once more and from his eyes alone, Sayo knew that she had him trapped.

...

The academy, for a lack of better terms, was a modest building red and white building situated in one corner of the hidden leaf village. The nearby woody areas served as ideal places for swings and children to spend their recreational time with their friends.

And Sayo could not help but wonder what sort of academy students she and Naruto would be like.

For the next few minutes Ebisu gave them the grand tour of the classrooms, the training halls and the training grounds. Both Sayo and Naruto kept their cool, up until the point where the elite had run of with some sort of responsibility he had to uphold.

Sayo could not help but wonder if Ebisu was being sincere about his obligations, if he had initially be so worried about their mere presence in the training fields.

And from the moment that they realised that the jounin was out of sight, Naruto had taken her hand into his own and they began to run as fast as they possibly could. After all if they were going to collect supplies, the most appropriate time to do so, was now while the students and the instructors were still in class.

They spent approximately fifteen minutes in the supplies room resembling a janitor's closet which rather then cleaning utensils, stored every manner of shinobi weapons and seals imaginable.

Sayo watched as Naruto began to dart from one corner of the room and the other, gathering together all matter of extreme paper bombs. While she scanned the shelves for those elusive paint seals which the shops in the hidden leaf refused to sell least they influence the academy students to set them of during their class time.

And promptly enough, placed on the highest shelves of them, she saw a box labelled as 'Paint Seals'. It was no doubt placed there to be inaccessible to all those who were not instructors.

For some time Sayo pondered on how exactly she would manage to reach up for the forbidden paraphernalia. Then before she realised what she was doing she was in full motion, running and instinctually jumping up to grab and secure the book. And the only sound which made her conscious of what she had managed to accomplish...was none other then...

"Yah...yah...yah you're the best...you're the best..."

Sayo turned around to look at Naruto who was jumping up and down in extreme excitement. And she could not help but wonder why her own parents were so eager to acknowledge her prodigious talents like her friend Naruto clearly was.

She quickly approached him and placed her hand onto his shoulder, causing him to stop in his tracks. And tilt his head in confusion stealing her chance to speak by asking his own question.

"Sayo why are you so scared of showing your talents"

Sayo blinked a few times realising that the words were simply not there to give her friend a satisfactory answer. She had considered all of the reasons as to why and she came to two possible conclusions. The first being that her father's strict instruction for her not to show off was still firmly etched in her brain whilst the other was the worry that in revealing any sort of skills which were out of the ordinary would grant her more judgmental looks. Because after everything she had observed, she was certain that unless she achieve something to or beyond the standard of the legendary Sannin, none of her accomplishments would be worth anything in their eyes.

And then Naruto spoke words which she had never thought possible to exit from his mouth.

"They look at me like that too"

Sayo's eyes immediately fell onto Naruto's big blue ones and her face scrunched up in utter confusion. Her friend's usually jolly face was become dark and lifeless and Sayo waited for his explanation:

"They...their resentment is there for me too and even though father knows about it, he wouldn't do anything"

Sayo was shocked to hear such a devastating reality which her friend had and she rapidly understood that much like the voice had one told her, she was not alone in this cruel world.

That's why he's so eager to help me...He wants to make them suffer as much as I do.

...

Crossing through the streets of the village was a lot easier task, when Naruto, unofficially dubbed as the town prankster, was pulling her from one safe corner to the next. Sayo had never really comprehended why her friend was so skilled in pulling of massive pranks, but after being ostracised by the villagers, she was certain that if she were the Yondaime's child, she would most likely do the same.

It seemed that the more time she spent with Naruto, the more she realised how much they were alike. They were both outcasts in the villagers' eyes and determined to make their way in the world. But as of yet, she could quite figure out what reason existed for such a bouncy and energetic boy like Naruto could be forced to endure the same treatment as her.

Soon after, Sayo found herself being pulled up by Naruto onto the back of the hokage faces, while she held onto the bag containing the supplies with a strict determination. There was a likeness of her grand grandfather carved into that mountain, along with her great uncle, the Sandaime and her godfather, Konoha's very own Yondaime. And as her blonde friend keeping dragged her further and further up behind the hokage heads, Sayo could not help but feel guilty for relying on him so much.

Once they had reached the flat hill side behind the faces, Sayo could not help but frown on the fact that the citizen paths to the back of the heads were heavily guarded from people such a Naruto himself. As it seemed that the Yondaime was paranoid that any underage troublemakers, not only his son, would be reckless enough to climb up there and set of some sort of booby trap

Thank goodness, Naruto is so valiant.

From the moment that they had reached the hillside, Sayo could not help but wonder how long it would take her father to realise that she was not at home or in the gardens. After all, so much time had passed and she wouldn't be surprised if he had temporarily become distracted by his writing.

I curse him for writing perverted novels but it appears as if that habit alone has granted me the time to execute my plan.

Initially Sayo attempted to be the one to apply the paper bombs and the paint seal around key impact spots on the hokage faces but before she could even contemplate on making her way down, Naruto had beaten her to it.

So instead she helped him, by passing him the traps one by one. And watching him with the upmost admiration for how brave he was to manage such a dangerous task. She hoped that sometime in the not so distant future she would learn to put on the same mask of confidence that he succeeded in doing.

I hope this works...

After some time, Naruto came to her side and handed her a long thick string which no doubt connect every single one of the paper bombs and the paint seals together.

She turned towards him and saw his approving face and smiled upon hearing his words:

"I think you should have the honour Sayo...the honour to destroy the one thing which so many of them hold so dear"

Sayo smirked after hearing his mature vocabulary and fiddled with the string, already anticipating the moment that she would pull and allow her plan to come to fruition.

And then she felt Naruto taking her hand into his own and her hart swelled in pride. Then the two of them gazed down to the population moving about down below and they each waited and waited for exactly the right moment in which they would finally pull off the the biggest prank which Konoha had ever seen.
