Chapter 38: Ships coming alive
Eugene's POV
"Time to get your memories back."
I stared at the golden tube in the blondie's hand. I was confused. I was betrayed. I felt foolish. That so-called father was the enemy, not them! The blondie looked at me with her big green eyes, which are really…hypnotising.
"Well, go on, take it," she said in her angelic voice. I slowly took the tube from her hands, and suddenly, bright lights blurred my vision, and I saw a kingdom, and whispered one word, "Corona."
FLASHBACKS
I was in an orphanage with many other children. They were looking and me, and I looked down at the book in my lap. 'The Adventures of Flannigan Rider', my all-time favourite book. As I read the story to the kids, I got the feeling of wanting to become just like him. And from then on, my name is Flynn Rider.
I became a young teenager, and was running away from something. I looked back, and saw the orphanage. Further and further I ran, till I was in the forest, away from the kingdom of Corona.
As I walked along the dirt path, I saw a hut in a distance, and there was a sign with the name 'The Snugly Duckling'. I went up and entered. I froze, there were ruffians and thugs everywhere. They looked at me with their menacing stares.
"Now what do we have here?" one of them with a hook asked.
"Just a humble traveller looking for something to eat," I said.
"Well, you can only eat in the place if you are a thug," another said. They were advancing on me.
"Ugh, I am one! I'm a thief," I lied.
Just then, two huge twins came up. One smirked. "Oh really? Then we got a job for you. Come on!" he said gruffly.
"And by the way, we're the Stabbington Brothers," the other one said.
I was running away from a horse, and entered a cave. It was more like a tunnel. I went in, trying to escape the horse, but then… I stopped. There was a tall tower in the middle of a paradise. It was actually quite breath taking.
I looked back, hearing the sound of a horse, I grabbed a satchel tightly, and ran towards the tower.
I scaled the tower and just when I entered, I felt relieved. I opened the satchel and looked in and said, "Alone at last."
Just then, something hit me, and everything went black.
I were back at The Snugly Duckling, only this the tugs were holding grabbing me. The one with a hook was about to punch my nose.
"Please, not the nose, not the nose!" I yelled.
They did not listen, but just as the hooked man was about to punch me, a branch hit him. Everyone froze, and looked back. There was blondie, holding her frying pan. Gotta love the frying pan.
"Put him down!" she shouted. Okay, that was awesome.
Blondie and I were trapped in a dark cave, and water was rising. Blondie was crying. There was a cut on my hand and her hair was all wet.
"I'm so sorry Flynn," she cried. I sighed.
"Eugene," I said.
"What?"
"My real name is Eugene Fitzherbert," I said. "Someone might as well know."
She smiled. "I have magic hair that glows when I sing," she said.
"What?" I asked, confused. A looked of realisation flashed onto her face as she tugged on her hair.
"I have magic hair that glows when I sing!" she exclaimed.
We were in the village of Corona. I was lining up to buy somethings, and when I got the, I turned around, and saw Blondie. Her hair was tied up in a long, thick braid, and there were flowers in her hair. Beautiful…
She was dancing to the music played by the musicians. She started dragging the other villagers to dance with her. And pretty soon, she had the whole village dancing with her.
We were sitting in a boat, and surrounded by glowing lanterns. We both held a lantern, and released them into the air. I stared at her, she was glowing, beautiful, and she was perfect.
She saw a lantern about to hit the water, and pushed it back up into the air.
I took her hand, and we started singing. We were about to kiss, when I saw the Stabbington Brothers on shore.
I just escaped the castle dungeons, riding on a white horse, after an elaborate plan made by the thugs, which only consisted of hitting, running, and jumping. Now, I am on my way to the tower.
"Rapunzel! Let down your hair!" I called out. Her long blond hair fell out of the window, and I grabbed on to it and started climbing.
But when I reached the top, I was shocked to see her chained up, and gagged. Then a sharp pain was felt by my side, and as I fell to the floor, I saw an old women holding a knife.
"Now look what you've down Rapunzel," she said in this evil, condescending tone.
Now we were back at the castle, and Rapunzel was a brunette and she was hugging the king and queen. The queen pulled me in and we all shared one big hug.
I REMEMBER!
Everything that happened, every single detail. Rapunzel and I got married, she and I were happy, until I fell sick, and… died. It was all clear now.
My eyes shot open, and I saw myself lying in a pink room, with paintings all over the walls. Those paintings…
RAPUNZEL!
"Eugene?" a small whisper asked from the side. I looked up, to see the beautiful green eyes which I have missed.
"Rapunzel," I smiled.
"Is that really you?" she asked timidly.
"Yeah Blondie, it's me," I said.
"Eugene!" she squeal, pouncing on me. "I've missed you!"
"I've missed you too Blondie," I chuckled. Then, just like in that tower a few hundred years ago, she pulled my shirt, and our lips crashed against each other.
"I love you," I mumbled against our lips.
"I love you too," she answered.
Jack's POV
"EEEEEK!"
I covered my ears, to protect it from the fangirls' reactions, mainly, Tooth, Snow, and Elsa. Or at least, I tried to protect my ears, and failed miserably.
"Oi! Stop with your fangirling! My ears are hurting," Bunny complained, pulling at his long ears.
"Can't agree more," Asland answered, nodding.
"Oh shush! Let us fangirl!" Snow said.
"Flynnunzel is back on track!" Elsa squealed, jumping up and down with Tooth. Then they chanted, "Flynnunzel! Flynnunzel! Flynnunzel!"
"Really Snowflake? You ship Flynnunzel more than you ship Jelsa?" I asked, smirking. I could see Snow and Tooth squealed wildly on the inside as Elsa stopped her chant.
"Yes, Frost. I do ship Flynnunzel more than Jelsa," she said, matching with my smirk. I pouted, and wrapped my arms around her.
"Are you sure?" I asked. She wiggled in my grasp.
"Yes I am sure, now let go, I have other business to attend to," she said, and escaped from my arms.
"Like what?" Hiccup asked.
"Like… making some ships sail for sure," she said teasingly, looking at Merida, who was standing next to him. Hiccup realised what she meant, and I saw a tint of pink on his cheeks. I smirked. That's my girl, always making sure her ships sail.
"Anyway, what's the plan now?" North asked.
"For now, let's leave Flynnunzel out of it. They need their alone time," Elsa said. "Next, we need all the help we can get to defeat Pitch. So I am going to get some friends to help us, while North, Bunny, Tooth and Sandy, continue to get the children believing. We cannot afford the children to lose their belief at a time like this. Snow and Asland can stay here to help. The gang will follow me."
Everyone agreed to the plan. The Guardians went back to work, while Merida and Hiccup climbed onto Toothless' back. But as I was about to life Elsa up, she let out an ear-piercing whistle. It was all silent for a while, as Merida, Hiccup and I looked at her confused. Toothless seem to sense something coming as he growled.
Elsa was looking into the white clouds above. I was about to ask her what she was looking for, when suddenly, something big and white flew out of the sky and into the workshop, landing in front of Elsa.
When the midst cleared, all I could do was stare. Whoa…
There was a magnificent white dragon in front of Elsa, and it looked just like Toothless.
"Guys, meet Snowstorm," Elsa said, gesturing to the dragon. "She's a Winter Fury. Kind of like a Night Fury, only, she shoots ice."
"Whoa…" Hiccup let out. Toothless moved forward, and looked at Snowstorm's big blue eyes with his green ones.
As Snowstorm stood there rigidly in front of Toothless, Toothless seemed to be sniffing around her, trying to determine if she was good or bad, or whatever he was thinking. Then, he suddenly seemed satisfied, and she was a friend, he started bouncing all around her, sending his riders knocking into each other.
"Toothless! Calm down," Hiccup said, holding Merida up-right. Toothless did as he was told, but he was still smiling at Snowstorm. Elsa giggled and turned to Snowstorm.
"See girl? He likes you," she laughed. Toothless heard, and turned his head away as if he did not hear that.
"Aw… You have a crush on her, you big baby boo?" Hiccup asked. Merida snorted in her seat behind Hiccup, as she ducked Toothless' tail that was aiming for Hiccup.
"Alright now, let's go get some help," Elsa said, and we were off! To where? I have no idea.
Bunny's POV
Tooth and I were in the globe room, looking at the globe. Fortunately, the lights were still twinkling. Children still believe.
"Where's North? And Sandy?" Tooth asked.
"North is gathering the yetis, while Sandy is off to send some dreams," I answered, looking into her sparkling purple eyes. "Where are your fairies?"
"They're back at the castle, gathering the teeth. Baby Tooth has everything under control. She's such a grown up fairy," Tooth said proudly. I chuckled.
"Well, then she doesn't deserve the name Baby Tooth anymore."
"Yeah," she laughed.
It was silent for a moment, until I broke it. "So, what you did for Rapunzel was great. You're the hero back there," I said.
"Well, I am the Guardian of Memories. It's my job. And I wanted Flynnunzel to get back together," she laughed.
"You did a great job."
"Thanks," she said. I could see her blushing, and smirked.
"Are you blushing?" I asked.
"W-What? No," she said, the blush on her cheeks, increasing in size and redness.
"You are."
"I am not."
"You are."
"Am not!"
"You are!"
"Am not!"
"You are!"
"Am-," she started but stopped midway.
It was then I realised, how near our faces were.
"You were saying?" I whispered. But when she didn't answer, I stared into her purple eyes, and without thinking, I leaned in.
The moment our lips met, it was like everything stopped. Every single worry melted away from my mind, and it was just me and her together. So this is what love feels like. No wonder Jack and Elsa are together.
