Chapter 37: A Stitch To My Heart
"Game and match, Shitenhoji- six games to five."
The figure standing next to me sighed, "One game down, four to go," Chitose muttered as we watched Yuuji and Koharu exit the courts with a triumph wave to the crowd
I managed a smirk, "Two more wins and we'll be a step closer to the nationals." I remarked
Chitose grumbled, "Dream big, Kenya," he muttered, "We still have to get through doubles one first with that kid being paired up with Zaizen."
Glancing over to the court entrance, Chitose and I both glimpsed at the second year standing next to Zaizen. Looking terrified and frightened, the solid tennis racket trembled within the hands of the junior player. Yet, adverting my eyes up-I curled my lips after seeing Kagami flash me a small indicating nod.
"Don't think that doubles one will be much of a success-" Chitose uttered, folding his arms, "That kid lacks a sense of being bold."
I chuckled, "Another one of your predictions, Chitose?"
Opening his mouth to argue, Chitose reluctantly bit his tongue after suddenly hearing the speakers go off. Murmuring to himself about the interruption, Chitose snapped his jaw back shut.
"Court three, doubles one match- Shitenhoji, Zaizen and-" The referee paused for a second, "Oshitari pair."
Hearing my name blurted out, I grinned and unzipped my black jumper before slipping it off, "Now do you think we'll win doubles one?" I snickered at Chitose, "Cause you better have faith in me."

(Hikari's POV)
The crowed roared with thunderous claps as the bright green tennis ball landed within the thick white lines- another point for the opposing team. Furrowing my brows at the sight sitting before me, I couldn't help but to endlessly worry for the injured figure standing on court.
"Can we please pull him out?" I begged, sending Kagami-san a pleading look
Standing next to me, Kagami-san flashed an uneasy look, "I've tired Hikari-san," she replied, "But you know Kenya- his never willing to give something up that quickly."
Turning back around, I watched nervously as Kenya-kun threw the tennis ball into air. Lifting his racket to complete the serve, I awaited for a flash to speed across the court. Yet, with a sudden loud clatter and wince- I merely felt my eyes widen.
"Senpai!" Zaizen-kun's voice was the first to react
Following the bewilderment from Zaizen-kun, the rest of the watching crew gasped with horror, "Kenya!"
In an automatic flash, the remaining members of the team all rushed on court- despite the protests from the opposing team. Heart beating twice the normal speed and brain sending panicking messages through my body, I hardly noticed myself being pulled onto the bright green courts.
"Kenya, this is the end- I can't let you play anymore." Shiraishi-kun remarked, a hand resting against the kneeling Kenya-kun's shoulder
Chitose-kun added to this, "There's no need to push yourself like this." He insisted
"There's only a game left," Kenya-kun panted with a slight wince, "I can make it through."
Taking a step forward, I knelt down to level myself with Kenya-kun, "Please stop," I ushered, "You're going to hurt yourself."
Seeming surprised by my appearance, Kenya-kun blinked at me with his deep indigo eyes. Ignoring the dumbfounded expression he gave me, I merely wrapped my arms around his neck before burying myself into his shoulder.
"Hikari…" I heard him breath
"Please, Kenya-kun- you've already done so much," I murmured, inhaling his choice of cologne, "And I can't just stand here and watch you get hurt…."
The atmosphere around us suddenly became quiet. Everyone watched us-everyone watched me hug the living daylights out of a national leveled tennis player- who, really now should be playing his victory match.
"Why don't you guys just forfeit?" A raw voice from the opposing team grunted, "It's not like you'll win this doubles match anyways."
I felt something vibrate against my chest, "Hey Hikari, can you allow me just to play one last game?" Kenya-kun chuckled, "I need to teach someone here a lesson."
Unwrapping my arms and turning my head around, I blinked after spotting Shiraishi-kun along with everyone else send death glares to the other team who threatened us with failure.
"One last game," I uttered, "And then you're finished today."

(Back to normal POV)
"Three stitches," Kagami announced, "And that's for one arm."
I paled, "What do you mean three stitches for one arm?" I exclaimed, lifting my right arm and furiously examining it.
"You deserved them," A deep voice suddenly bloomed from behind whiles a tall figure overshadowed my access of sunlight
Hands on her hips, Kagami smiled after spotting the fresh figure, "Ah, Oshitari-kun," she greeted
I tensed up at the mentioned last name. Robotically turning my head around inch by inch, I sweat dropped after spotting Yuushi standing behind me with his hands crossed and a rather sour expression plastered across his face.
"You finally found me, Yuushi!" I cheerfully remarked, despite the dangerous look my cousin flashed.
Yuushi raised a brow, "It'd seem that Akatsuka-san found you first," he declared, "I'm just here to drag you back to the hospital."
Shivering at his words, I spun back to face Kagami in hoping she'd free me from Yuushi's forceful capture. Yet, much to my utter disappointment- the girl was too busily concentrated on her lover's finalizing smash.
"He deserves one good kiss for that," Kagami muttered to herself before heading off to congratulate her bible
I panicked after seeing Kagami leave, "W-wait! Kagami-"
"Kenya…"

I sulked, sulked and sulked even more. Squished between Yuushi and Hikari, I had no choice but to be dragged out of the tennis park. Trying to ignore all the snickers and teasing laughs the tennis idiots produced from behind, I decided to quicken my steps- yet, a quiet tug from Yuushi made me slow down.
"Don't think about running off again, Kenya," He warned
Grumbling, I leant away from Yuushi, "Can't you've called someone other than my stupid cousin?" I whispered to Hikari
Flashing a confused look, Hikari blinked, "I thought that Yuushi-kun would be the easiest contact," she answered
I sighed, "But not the easiest to deal with…" I mumbled to myself
Yuushi gave a small disapproval grunt at my comment. Nonetheless, he professionally pushed up his glasses and remained most calm and content from any sort of reaction.
"Well, considering the fact that you have a habit of escaping from hospitals," Yuushi remarked as we arrived at the park gates, "I've made a few arrangements to escort you back safely."
With that being said, Yuushi pulled out his phone and flipped it open before pressing a button. In a flash of a second, four black Porsches and a Mercedes pulled up. I raised a brow at the sudden approach of black vehicles.
"You've got be kidding me…." I muttered, feeling the urge to face palm
Looking merely pleased with himself, Yuushi pulled on a pleasing look whiles I glared daggers at the five vehicles. Hikari seemed rather surprised- but only smiled with astonishment.
"Nice cars, Kenya," Yuuji teased as he along with everyone else arrived a few feet away from Hikari, "I can see that the mafia is really getting active again," he winked
Rolling my eyes, I shot a stare at Yuushi, "I'm blaming these mafia jokes on you…." I declared

Oshitari Kenya hates hospitals- Oshitari Kenya also hates being leashed to a bed with nothing to do but to stare boringly at the blaring ceiling lights. Feeling much like a mental patient locked away in his own room, I sighed and thumped back against my personal pile of extremely soft pillows.
"Kenya?"
Sitting back up at the sound of my name, I glanced as the door slowly slid open. Revealing the lovebirds of Shitenhoji, I blinked as the duo trotted in with a bouquet of flowers in hand.
"I thought you two had a date tonight." I pronounced
Shiraishi grinned, "We do," he insisted, "But Kagami wanted to visit her beloved brother in law first."
Throwing her lover a small look, Kagami approached me and handed me the bouquet of colorful flowers, "I just wanted to see how you're doing," she ushered, "Seeing that you nearly passed out on court today."
"My body didn't quite cooperate with me," I replied, taking the bouquet from Kagami's offering hands, "Thanks for these lovely-"
"Chrysanthemums," The bible of tennis announced, "A type of healing flower."
I snorted, "Nearly forgot that you two are plant addicts," I muttered before setting the bouquet aside, "Thanks anyways."
Kagami chuckled, "I think you deserved them after the win of doubles one," she uttered
"And that I also deserved three stitches to my right arm, two on my leg and one to the heart?" I sarcastically added on
A smile was seen to spread across Kagami's lips, "A stitch to the heart I see," she teased, "Maybe Hikari-san will kiss it better for you…"
I blushed, "Oh shut up…"
