Ryder was sitting on his roof top late one night. He had gotten up there by climbing through the attic window. It was completely dark with only stars shining and the moon bright.

School ended today and now he had a week vacation before returning. His parents were out for the week in New York. His mother was visiting her parents in Florida and his father was taking a week long graduate program class in Columbus. with his two older sisters off to California for their college weeks vacation, Ryder was home alone. Not too bad since when he came home he had a black eye and bruises on his torso from fighting Jake.

How dare he do this. He had promised Ryder one thing. Just one thing and that was to not hurt Marley. And what happens now? That piece of shit cheated on Marley with some piece of trash. He lost his chance to be with an astonishing and beautiful girl. Now he could be what he always was to be; A cheating and lying womanizer. Just like his big brother.

"Piece of crap," Ryder muttered. "He doesn't deserve Marley." He pulled out his phone and looked through his photos and found one of Marley he had taken weeks ago; it was a picture of Marley smiling during one of their practice rehearsals for Grease. They had met up in the auditorium a few times to practice their duet 'You're The One That I Want.' and Marley asked him if they could stretch out their vocals with one of two songs before they practice. Of course, he would say to her. "Whatever you feel comfortable doing." Because of this, this was how Ryder knew Marley's favorite romantic song was Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's song You're All I Need To Get By and another favorite that he, himself, liked too.

"Ryder?" Marley's voice echoed from down below. "Ryder?"

Ryder leaned over the roof, laying on his stomach, and look down to see the brunette girl down near his front door. She was wearing short red cloak with the hood up. "Marley?" He called down.

"Ryder?" She looked around for him.

"Up here Marls," He said.

Marley looked up and saw Ryder on the roof. "Is that safe?"

Ryder smirked. "You came all the way here just to ask if I'm safe doing this?"

She laughed. "No, I need to talk to you. Right now." She said. She held up a basket and said, "I brought over some cookies I made. They're chocolate chip cookies from scratch."

"Sure, I'll be right down." Ryder said.

Ryder got up and walked over to the attic window and climbed through, shutting it behind him and walking to the other side of the room and walked down the stair case, opening the secret door (as he called it because it looked like a closet door) and walked to the front door to meet Marley. He opened the door and met with her blue eyes. "Hi Little Red Riding Hood."

"My Grandma, what a manly body you have." Marley giggled. "That sounded better in my head."

"Come on in." Ryder said as he moved to the side and welcomed her. "Nice cloak."

"Thanks. My Grandma made it for me and its cold out but not fully sweater weather." Marley said as she took it off. Ryder took it and hung it up on the coat rack as Marley took her shoes off. It was a habit of hers that she took her shoes off when she entered a home not hers. "Where should I put these?"

"I'll take them. Want something to drink? I think there's some hot chocolate in the kitchen."

"Oh that sounds good!" Marley smiled.

The two teens made their way to Ryder's kitchen. Marley stopped in place when she saw the kitchen. Hell, it was huge compared to her own. It probably had to be big for such a big family of five. The cabinets were light brown, the fridge and stove and microwave and double built-in wall ovens were silver. The top of the table were marble gray and three lights hung over the counter stand with three bar stools that rested there. Marley sat in one of them as Ryder put the kettle on and waited for the water to burn.

"You're kitchen is big." Marley said.

"Is it?" Ryder asked. He never really noticed how big his kitchen was because of all the clutter kept in there. "Sugar's is bigger. Remember that Christmas party at her house?"

"Oh God I remember! Sam got drunk and swung from the chandelier saying he was Sia," Marley chuckled at the memory of the blonde senior singing a popular song. (A/N Because only in the world of GLEE can songs be sung even before they're released, like the songs from Lady Gaga's ARTPOP lol) "And Blaine kept trying to get him down and Sam hit him and Blaine went flying across the room."

"Did you ever found out who walked in on Artie and Kitty doing the dirty deed in Sugar's room?" Ryder asked.

"Unique did. She said that it was Tina that walked in on them, screamed, and slammed the door shut and ran to tell people. Poor Tina has Kitty's butt in her face now." Marley laughed. "But I need to talk to you about something."

"Sure thing," Ryder took a bar stool and sat across from her. "What's that?"

"I heard about your fight with Jake today." Marley said. "Artie told me about it."

"Oh."

"Is this because of what happened weeks ago Ryder?" Marley questioned him. "Weeks and weeks ago? During that Katy vs Gaga week and when it was discovered during Twerking week?"

"Yes." Ryder told her.

She nodded and sighed. The brunette rested her forehead into her palm. She'd seen a picture of his black eye from the picture Artie managed to take, but she didn't think about how bad it was until a video of it showed. There they really beating at one another. And all because she didn't want to have sex with Jake? This is crazy!

"Marley?" Ryder called her name out. "Are you mad?"

"No." She said, but she didn't sound too honest.

"Marls," Ryder said softly, just as the kettle whisled meaning the water was boiled. Ryder looked at it before turning back to her. "Want marshmallows?"

Marley nodded. "Sure."

"Okay. Be right back." Ryder smiled. He got up and walked over to the stove.

Marley sat there staring at the marble table. "I should of just let Jake touch my boobs." She said softly so only she could hear it.

Both of them sat in Ryder's living room watching the ending of a movie and waiting for the next one to start. They sipped on their hot chocolates and ate the cookies Marley made and talked about the movie they had seen before. As the credits rolled, Ryder spoke up about their earlier conversation. "Are you mad?"

"At what?"

"That I fought Jake?"

"No." She said, still not honest fully. "I'm just sad that it happened. I'm mad at myself."

"Why should you be mad at yourself?"

"I'm the one who didn't listen to you or Unique when you both warned me about Jake being a womanizer. I just thought I could change him completely."

"Don't be mad. It's his fault he cheated. He's the one who cheated. You pur more effort into the relationship than he did. He didn't even try." Ryder told her the truth. He kept thinking to Valentine's Day week when Jake used his ideas to sweep Marley off her feet. Jackass. "You're a better person than him."

Marley wasn't listening to him, she was in her own head. "All he wanted to do was touch my boobs. That's it."

"He what!?" Ryder yelled. Marley didn't know she said it aloud. "He wanted to touch your what!?" He screamed loudly.

"It was Katy vs Gaga week and Unique told me Jake might cheat on me with Bree so that's why I dressed as myself, a Katy, for the Gaga number," Marley said. She made an angry face as she remembered the guys being mad at her. "And even though I should say it to Sam more, Listen here Jackass! I'm still getting over the bulimia!"

"Oh that I knew. I just think you'd wear what I suggest. The white bandeau bikini top with white skirt and green skirt added. That's the closest I thought of for someone who wants to stay modest but be forced into a Gaga outfit."

"Well...Sam's an ass." Marley said. "Well I felt bad I missed his performance and he invited me to his house for making out and he just wanted to go further than I wanted too and we got into an argument about it."

Ryder couldn't believe his ears. Was Marley actually blaming herself for his actions? Ryder put his drink down and then put his hands around Marley's small and soft hands. "Listen to me Marley. This isn't your fault. None of this is your fault. Jake has a mind of his own and he can make his own decision. He's not worth it Marley. His actions are not worth anything."

"I know," She said with some confidence.

"You're a wonderful person Marley. Any guy would be lucky to be dating you. You're," Ryder searched his mind for the word to use. "You're a sparkling diamond. Rare and beautiful, like your soul. There aren't that many girls out there like you."

She listened to him and smiled. Sparkling diamond. She loved hearing that word, it was from her favorite musical movies; Moulin Rouge! Without thinking Marley blurted out, "Brittany said I reminded her a cartoon Disney Princess."

"You are a princess." Ryder smiled. "Feel better now?"

"I do." Marley smiled.

"Want to watch a movie? I'll drive you home after that." Ryder told her.

"Sure. What movie?"

"Pick one out." He pointed to the DVDs rack. "I'll get some more hot chocolate for us and then set it up."

Marley nodded and walked over to the movies while Ryder went into the kitchen. She didn't take too long as she found a movie she loved and wanted to watch it. Upon Ryder's return she had the movie in her hands. When Ryder asked her what movie it was she held it up. Moulin Rouge! Ryder laughed. "Of course." He said.

About two hours later or so the movie ended. Marley and Ryder were cuddled up on his couch watching the movie as the credits rolled. Neither of them wanted to get up as they were both comfortable. In all honestly Marley was actually close to sleep. Luckily she texted her Mom, who trusted Marley deeply, and said she might end up sleeping at Ryder's for the night if Ryder couldn't drive her home. And Ryder was happy that the girl he loved was here with her. He wanted to go out with her again, but he wasn't sure if she was ready yet to go out again like they did during Billy Joel week.

"Ry?" Marley asked.

"Hmmm?"

"Wanna go to Breadstixx tomorrow night and then go see Judy Garland movies, back-to-back?" She asked.

"Not Julie Andrews?"

"No, I did those with Jake. Judy is just as great. It's Meet Me In St. Louis and then Wizard of Oz." She said.

"Sounds great." Ryder said.

She smiled and cuddled closer to him; feeling his heart beat against his chest. She felt him shift so that she was leaning more comfortable on him.

"Come what may, come what may," Ryder sang softly. Marley grinned knowing what line was next.

"I will love you until my dying day," They both sang.
