Digimon World Tour
Digimon Adventure 02, Digimon Adventure, Digimon Data Squad, etc. 1999-2014 Toei Animation, Akiyoshi Hongo, Studiopolis, Saban Brands, etc.
Closing Sequence Theme:
"Don't Get Me Wrong"
Written by Chrissie Hynde
Arranged by Tomoko Sakakibara
Japanese Lyrics by Ayumi Miyazaki
Japanese Version Performed by Kae Araki
English Version Performed by Lara Jill Miller
As the sequence starts, we start on a dark stage. Suddenly, a spotlight turns on as we find Kari up front, happily tapping her tambourine on her hip. Soon, another spotlight comes on to find T.K. playing electric guitar. Eventually, each member of the band gets their own spotlight as neon lights turn on. (Anya is added later on.)
Don't get me wrong
If I'm looking kind of dazzled
I see neon lights
Whenever you walk by
Next, we shift to the gang goofing off on the DATS/band jet. Scenes include Greg and Veemon taking on Marcus and Agumon in a tag team checkers match, Gaomon working on a New York Times crossword puzzle (trying to hold onto a pencil with his glove), and Kari and T.K. just enjoying each other's company. Hmm... possible romantic implications? I think so.
Don't get me wrong
If you say hello and I take a ride
Upon a sea where the mystic moon
Is playing havoc with the tide
Don't get me wrong
Later, the gang mounts and rides their quadrupedal Digimon through an open field, passing through scenes from Adventure and Adventure 02, gradually being replaced by scenes from the first 33 episodes of World Tour. Marcus has hitched a ride with Matt.
Once in a while
Two people meet
Seemingly for no reason
They just pass on the street
Suddenly thunder, showers everywhere
Who can explain the thunder and rain
But there's something in the air
We next find Marcus and Agumon at a gate in an airport, standing by the glass and admiring the sunrise. The others soon join him and just take comfort in each other's company.
Don't get me wrong
If I fall in the "mode of passion"
It might be unbelievable
But let's not say so long
It might just be fantastic
Don't get me wrong
We come back to the band set up as the song concludes. Kari humbly bows before the audience.
