Still sleeping as light footsteps approach the sleeping Ezra and begin to provide wet kisses. Which he mistook for something more. Smiling in his sleep, arousing him just a bit.

"...Mmmm.."He moans."That feels nice."The kisses continued along with a nuzzling and...purring? Purring? It woke him. Opening his eyes sitting up discovers the white loth-cat there to greet him with a huge smile on its face.

Not what he was expecting. Not at all. Rubbing his head, he looks around the empty cave and by empty there was no sign of his wife. She was gone. Again. Feeling the cat nuzzling him, he looks down at the creature.

"...Do you know where she is?"He asked. Which the cat returns with a nod. Grunting getting up he quickly grabs his pants and puts them."Alright, lead the way."

You stood before the child under the same stars, just looking at them. Doing your best to hold it, as you force yourself to smile tenderly at them. Tempted to reach out and touch them. But, you stop yourself. Feeling your eyes start to sting. A part of you wanted to deny it, but, you knew you couldn't. Gripped with grievance and acceptance.

Finally, muster up the right words to speak."You're not coming back? Are you?"

They giggle, though meant to ill towards it."Yes. But don't worry,"They skip a few feet back."I'll still be around. You can find me."

You step forward, stopping when they step back. Shaking their finger at you."No. You can't come this way. There are so many stars."They look up at the sky full of them, reaching their hands up."There so many. Oh, wow!"

Their awing gasp for some reason eased you. It made you smile. A genuine smile, that pushed its way through. The child seem to notice and returns the same smile. One that to your surprise was just like your own. A content look came over them and they walk towards you, stopping just three feet before.

Points behind you again."Go that way, okay? Mommy?" They said it again, why? Why did that have to keep saying that?

"Why?" You ask.

Which they just answer with a smile and wave."Go that way, okay?" And begin to fade away."I'm okay."

Realizing what was happening you rush hold them, only to get nothing. Shutting your eyes hold the last bit of them in your arms. Fall to your knees and sob.

Still following the cat, Ezra hadn't found any sign of his wife. He hoped she didn't go far or leave. A bit chilly out here in the mountains, kind of wishing he had his shirt, had to endure the cold without it. He couldn't sense May, it felt like something was preventing it. He hoped it wasn't...she hadn't reverted back. Something was wrong, he could feel it.

Even after last night and the night before. Yeah, they hadn't really left the cave for two days. There was the time that needed to be made up and it was also time for solitude. For the two of them, his attention needed to be with his family.

His family he started and made. Man, marriage was hard. No wonder it was for better or worse, stressing how his parents made it work. It sure did make one mature quickly. Looking to the cat who checked over its shoulder to make sure he was still there.

"I'm still here."He tells it. Glad he was, the cat picks up it pace and runs off. "H-Hey!"He calls after it. Chasing it down. Thinking it as a game the cat sped up, jumping from here to there.

Not as agile as the feline, Ezra managed to keep up, though a few times tumbling and tripping. Getting back up the always finding the cat waiting for him, to start back up right away. Grunting out of irritation, he still follows. That he didn't pay attention to where the cat was taking him. Until he looked around, he was still in the mountains, though it seem another part. Was this where his wife was? The cat meows getting his attention, looking behind it at the trail.

Getting it, Ezra takes it and in a few minutes, he finds you there sitting on the top overlooking some of the plains. In his jacket, just staring out into the distance, that you didn't bother to take notice of his presence. You were hugging your knees close and tight. Eyes red and puffy, like you, had been crying. But, he knew you couldn't shed a single tear. Carefully he sits by you and pulls you in, placing a kiss on the top of your head. Before placing his on yours. Even if he didn't have the force he knew you were grieving.

"They'd always be standing in the plains,"You speak."Sitting on a rock in the middle. Giggling. Always happy with smile or smirk on their face. As if everything was a game. A delightful game. I wasn't sure what amused them, but, whatever it was, I'm glad it did. I-I'm..." your voice starts to crack as you struggle with the words. Chocking on them.

Forcing yourself to push through, but couldn't. It was too much, burying your head and cry. Clinging to Ezra who holds you. Ignoring your nails digging into him. Let you take it all out. Your sobs echoed throughout the mountains and into the winds. Doing his best to remain strong, cries with you. What it made it harder was the imagine life you spoke. Only added more to the sorrow.

Clinging to him desperately trying to keep yourself together, but your body just trembled. Feeling yourself falling apart, all that you try to hold together with pain was breaking. Kanan was right, there was a price to pay. Everything hurt, everything. Feeling weightless as your body begins to float. "Ezra. Ezra."You seek him. Switching up the name."Raphael. Mikey. Leonardo. Ashako. My baby."

Your body's temperature rises to suddenly cool. Did you open your eyes and find yourself shedding tears, no, not tears of your own. But from the water, the waterfall you sat under. It was small, but enough. Even with the rushing water, it provided little comfort. Still, in Ezra's hold, hold him forever. Sitting on dry land the loth-cat watches the healing take place. Looking from you to Ezra. And again gets up and leaves respectfully.

A hand reaches down, picking up the piece of clothing and hands it to you."Here. It should be dry now."Ezra tells you, helping you slip on your tank-top. Stopping for a second running a smooth finger over your blaster wounds. You grab his wrist and move it away.

Look at him mercifully."I'm sorry."Apologize to him.

The hurt in his eyes swell but subsides. His finger moves to the scar over your eyes. Remembering that day, he could still the sound of lightsaber as it slashed and sizzled across you. When you threw yourself to protect him. It went all the way across and left you with a reminder for him. No matter what he did, he'd always cause you to experience some sort of pain. Or he was the cause of it. And you'd have to be the one to heal from it.

Everything else he realized he was doing right, being able to fix it. Everything that was outside, when he should be fixing what closest to him. Remembering past words from Mr. Sumar. Words that made him seem the reality of truth. When he looked at you. As you finished getting dressed.

Did he really deserve you? Was he even making the right choices? Reflecting when he was younger, realized back then he was trying to get your attention. Do whatever he could, to come and see it as actual feelings. Then again? Was he just being selfish? Confused, he became even more so, finding himself standing before saying the vows. Everything was good. So happy. And finding out on becoming a father, his world nearly exploded. He believed and expected to happen after all this joy, to crumble and shatter.

Why was he thinking like this? When the last two days were just as blissful. He could finally reconnect with you after so long. Feel you deeper than before on a different level. Why were these thoughts crossing his mind? Did he lose it? Was it fading? Standing there looking at his shirt lost in thought. He needed an answer, just a simple answer. For his confliction.

"Ezra,"Your hand rest on his and his tighten grip relaxes. With your other one place it on the side of his face. And gently stroke his cheek. Watching him melt into it, holding it there with his own. Taking his shirt from him, drape your arm around him and pull him towards you. Holding him there. Rubbing your hand up and down his back. Opening your mouth and give him the answer he was looking for."I love you."

The strength and conviction of those words was the answer he found. Even if it was hard to see it."I love you."You say it again. And again. Holding him tighter and tighter each time you said it.

His arms move up and wrap around you."I love you, too."He squeezes you.

Giving him affectionate pecks on the nose a few times, he catches your lips and holds you there. Breaking only for air, going back deeper repeating the same words over and over again. It began to manifest and take effect. Hosting you up against the wall, you felt something.

"That's not my lightsaber," He whispers. Taking off your tank-top, throwing it to the ground. And continues, not breaking away. His complete focus was the sensation his body was feeling. This time much more.

Using one hand to hold you, while the other does work down below. Feeling your hands trying to help. He brushes them away."N-No..." he moans, refusing it. He was going to do this, pulling and yanking accomplishes it. Pushing up on you more, covering and stopping and noise that tried to escape you. Quickly with his other hand holds you tighter. And wraps your legs around his waist, his hand running up and down enticingly.

His panting increasing with each push, he didn't stop. Between breaths showed his love. Doing his best to be both tender and aggressive. But, not too aggressive. Slowing down a few times so the both of you could show it.

Three days wasn't bad, it was actually good. Driving the landspeeder back to base, Ezra looks over at you sleeping. He wasn't surprised, kind of his fault. But, strangely you looked much more rested and he did too. Your hair blew in the window, you kept it down instead of putting it back in its braid. It looked much nicer down, but, he knew you'd put it back up once returning back to base.

Smiling to himself, he reaches out to and lightly touches your face. Accidently waking you up."What?"You groan. Sitting up and stretching. "Are we back yet?"

He chuckles shaking his head."Not yet. Though you do know, when we get back Jai's going to be waiting for an apology. He was right.

"I know."You look at your hands."I'll see what I can do. I haven't healed flesh in so long..."

Ezra slows down speeder just a bit."Hey, it's going to be fine. It'll get there."He encourages. Holding your hand giving it a squeeze.

"What will we tell the others? I am sure they have been wondering about our absence."You bring up worried. He could tell. And slightly brushes it off. "Ezra."You stress, wishing he'd take it seriously.

"Don't worry, I'm pretty good with my words."He gloats."I've gotten myself out many tight bonds. How is this one any different."

Though you had faith, you slightly believed him. The last three days neither of you checked in with the others. Throwing up your hands with a sigh, sit back and let Ezra believe what he wanted.

The second the two of you arrive back to base and step in Zeb was the first one to make everyone notice. Next thing you knew you and Ezra were swarmed by April, Jai, and Sabine. Asking what happened, Ezra's golden-tongue wasn't helping right now. He tries his best, but it only made it worse. That is until Kanan came and broke it up, taking the two of you out for privacy.

"Well?"He asked looking at you to Ezra waiting. Mainly at you. You step up and bow your head to him.

"K..Kanan..."You being to speak."I...I..."

He stops you."I don't need to hear the whole thing, I can tell much as changed."He said rather sullen, yet proud."That's good. You know you have a long journey ahead of you."He directs to you.

You nod knowingly."B-But...I'm ready now. I want to do what I can."Lifting your head back up to him."For my home and family."
