Thanks for the reviews. Trying to distract myself. Last month I was given a Prinicipal role in my drama groups Panto Cinderella. Now the panto is in jeopardy as we are struggling to fill roles and a main character has dropped out. I know its selfish, but I dont want the show to be cancelled as it means I wont get the chance to play a comedy role on stage. Wont know until Tuesday after an emergency meeting...fingers crossed the show can be saved.

Mac stood looking at Danny in the chair. He stepped closer and shook Dannys book in front of him.
"This is turning into quite the read." He said.
"Glad I could entertain you."
"Why did you agree to join his task force? You didn't like him when you met him, so why?"
"Why do you care?" Danny came back to him.
"I just don't understand how someone can actually work alongside him, put their lives in his hands. He got you shot within hours of you meeting and you still stayed with him. Why?"
"Because I started to see the man he is. The passionate, strong and dedicated man he is. I wanted to be part of what he was going to make great."
"5 0?"
"Yes."
"How could you stay with him? He was the reason people close to you died. Jenna, Malia."
"I stayed with him because he is a good man."
"Ha!" Fowler screamed. "In all these years you have not learned. Have you not seen that all he does is only for him and puts others in danger while he does it."
"Its not like that."
"He left you to run the team when he went off to pursue Wo Fat by himself….to make himself feel better and he did not even consult with you."
"He had to do it and I supported him all the way."
"But because of his one man mission you were kidnapped and almost killed by the CIA. Your life was threatened because of him."
"They didn't threaten to kill me, they wanted to stop my investigation. You can't pin that on Steve."
"Why not? Their mission was focusing on Steve and you got in the way."
"I was doing my job." Danny replied.
"Did you ever tell him what happened?"
"Of course I did. He is my friend."
"And did he ever show remorse, apologise for getting you in trouble like that?"
Danny went silent, he knew Steve had never done so.
"Ah…..silence. I take that as a no. Typical McGarrett. Self involved, only interested in his agenda. How can you be friends with someone like him?"
"Because he is a better man then you will ever be." Danny said.

Steve and Chin stood with Mr Juan, looking at the screen. A list of jobs was laid out in front of them.
"Looks like they are all full jobs…house clearances." Juan said.
"Do you record what happens to the items in each job? Their final location?" Steve asked him.
"With full clearances we try too, at least for a while. Mostly for security and insurance reasons. Normally the reason for clearances is the death of the occupant so the items tend to be sold on, donated to charities, sometimes sent onto family members who have requested an item. Looks like all of these were mostly donated jobs. Various drop offs to charity bases, good will collecting warehouses, a few auction houses. Nothing unusual."
"Why do you use them words?" Chin asked, noticing the last statement.
"Well I figured the reason you asked the question was because you were in doubt about his intentions."
"Good instincts." Steve replied. "Can we have a list of the original addresses in each job?"
"Not sure I can do that. Privacy issues." He said.
"We can get a warrant, but we would rather save the vital time. My partners life is at stake here." Steve said. The man looked at the faces of the officers in front of him and returned to the laptop, A few button presses later and he handed a print out to Steve.
"I hope you find him officer." He said. Steve thanked him and headed back to the car. Chin got through to Kono and started reeling off the list of names and addresses to her. They were only half way through the list when they all realised a pattern was emerging.
"Ok, try this one. Oscar Cartwright, 2300 Lake View Plaza." Chin spoke into the phone.
"Got it. Died August 13th 2009, complications following a previous service related injury." Kono said.
"And let me guess, he was connected to the VA?" Steve asked.
"Yeah, spent some time there after his initial injury." Kono described.
"Too many coincidences here. The VA is the key, I am sure of it." Steve said. "I think someone there might know enough about Mac to give us an idea where he has taken Danny. Kono, go through the list and get an officer to go to each address, anything suspicious they must report it" Kono ended the call and Steve looked over to Chin. "We need to go back and visit the VA. Someone knows somet…." Steve stopped when he heard the shrill of his phone ring. He answered it.
"Steve."
"Rachel, hi" He said greeting the lady.
"I am sorry, I promised Grace I would call you. Is there any news?" She asked him. Steve looked down to the ground, almost plucking up the courage to answer the question.
"I wish I could say yes, but afraid not. We have some leads but nothing concrete." Steve replied. " I am so sorry."
"You will find him, I trust you." Rachel said.
"How is Grace?"
"Not good, she refuses to go anywhere until he comes back for her. I keep telling her he will."
"Yes he will. Did you want me to come and see her? Explain to her?" Steve asked.
"No, you have more important things to do. Find her dad, that's the thing she needs and wants the most." Rachel said, a lot calmer and friendlier then Steve had known her to be.
"We will bring him back, I promise." Steve said his goodbyes and looked to Chin, putting his phone away. "I hope I don't break my promise."

"Does McGarrett really care about you?" Mac asked Danny, standing over the detective. "I am beginning to have my doubts."
"Of course he does." Danny said.
"Then why does he continue to fail at finding you? He was very close to catching me this time. So so close. But he failed. Kinda makes you feel….forgotten doesn't it."
"Everyone can have an off day." Danny replied. "He will find me."
"Is that really what you think?" Mac answered.
"Without a second thought." Danny said. Danny couldn't contain a cough and soon could feel his burning and aching body almost rip apart as he realised the cough.
"Well you had better hope he finds you soon…..looks like you might just drop here and now." Mac grabbed a tuff of Dannys hair and pulled his head back. "At least wait until McGarrett can watch you. Would be a pleasure to watch him react to your death."
"I would never give you the satisfaction." Danny managed to say, his breathing was all of a sudden becoming harder.
"You might not have a choice." Mac let go of Dannys head and Danny took a second to regain his senses. He felt dizzy, his breathing being more erratic. "I bet this is how you felt when you got infected with Sarin…..another McGarrett calamity. "
"Why dont you just blame World War 2 on Steve, maybe the sinking of the Titanic, The black death maybe…you are like a broken record." Danny bit back. He didn't see the punch coming…it landed across his temple and catapulted him off his chair. He slammed into the ground and he could almost hear another rib breaking. Danny looked to the ground, a few drops of blood fell to the floor. He wiped away at the graze at his hair line.
"You sure are a resilient little pest aren't you." Mac crouched down in front of Danny. "I mean…look at you. Such a mess, in need of a doctor and yet still…hanging on. To hope maybe?"
"Nothing wrong with that." Danny coughed. Mac took the rope off the bed and grabbed Danny's outstretched arm. He yanked it back and caused Dannys body to twist. Mac wrestled to grab Danny's other arm, Danny wanted to fight back but he was struggling to shake off the dizzy spell. He felt Mac bring his hands together in front of him, winding the rope around them. Danny wanted to scream as the pain shot through every inch of his body, but he didn't. He closed his eyes and let the pain vibrate through him. He managed to pull himself to sit up slightly.
"So, the sarin incident. Tell me about it." Mac said pulling Dannys book from his back pocket.
"Why? It was 4 years ago…ancient history." Danny tried to make himself more comfortable but his achy body did not go well with the cold hard floor.
"According to you, in your own words, 'it would never have happened if Captain America did not want to go chasing one man.' " Mac read.
"Its true, but it doesn't mean I blame him for it. Stop trying to push your twisted opinions about Steve onto me or anyone else." Danny spoke up. "Stop making him the villain."
"My son is dead! He killed him!" Mac kicked the chair across the room in anger. He turned back to Danny and pulled him up off the floor. "He killed my brother. He is not the good man people think he is."
"Why don't you invite him and find out. He can give you a good fight." Danny said. Mac threw him down on the bed, Dannys neck almost snapping back at the force of the throw.
"Trust me, you wouldn't want to see what I would have in store for him."
