I'm sorry I just had suddenly some ideas left for this story so a couple more chapters will come but I will certainly not go beyond 40 chapters in total.

Chapter 36

CaPoV

It took me two days of full out running to get to Romania. Two days of ignoring the excruciating pain in my entire body. Now I was hiding near Bran Castle where we knew my mate was being held. I checked things out and it wasn't looking good. there were many guards outside the castle though half seemed as if they were meant to be keeping someone from coming out instead of going in. Sahra must have been fighting back from her side. Good girl. The pain I felt had grown as I neared the castle. I just knew she had to be there.

After watching the castle to make a plan, I was joined by the others. The wolves had phased and Sam stood next to me. He looked between me and the castle. "She is in there somewhere. The pain is less now but I think she went into labor and the baby nearly ripped her apart. I think the child was turned with all the extra venom she got." I told him keeping my eyes on the castle. After a few minutes the pain stopped as suddenly as it came.

"She's still alive. I'm close enough to read her mind though what I see isn't pretty. She is thinking of death and your child, you, the pain she was just in and fire." Edward told me. She wants to die because of the pain she is in.

"Can you find out what happened to the child?" Aro asked.

"It's being carried somewhere. It's crying as he wants his parents. He knows he hurt his mother. They are going to the throne room where they are waiting for us." Edward said. "Sahra is trying to think of her surroundings. She's in a dark tiny room with bars in front of the only window."

"Right, Caius, half the guard and some of the wolves will to take care of the vampires outside, the rest come with me. Cullens you go find Sahra and the child, we will take care of the enemy once and for all."

"I think you won't do that at all, Aro." Vladimir said from behind. Turning to them we were surrounded. "Oh don't look so surprised, it's thanks to our little Dani and Lani that we were able to surround you without your knowledge. you see, Dani has a special gift especially when combined with his sister's. He can travel without sound or smell and Lani has the gift of illusion."

"I must say, Carlisle, that girl of yours sure has some power in her beautiful body, no surprise that this little thing is handsome too, for a kid." Stefan said holding the baby. It looked a few days old already despite it being only four hours since birth.

"Shame that you will have to die before meeting your own son."

"Where is Sahra?"

"She's closer than you think. After her giving birth, the child bit her triggering her turning completely. The change didn't take long thanks to our special guest. Sadly she doesn't recall anything except for the burning pain from the change. She's a typical newborn. Of course we fed her while teaching her everything she needed to know. You're welcome for that by the way. So without further ado. Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present you Miss Sahira!" a couple of the Romanian army moved a side revealing a giant pet carrier of sorts. Growls and snarls were heard from it. the cage rattled and it moved as if whatever was inside was trying to break out. One vampire unlocked the cage and the door busted out of its hinges. Nothing stepped out right away so the vampire that opened the cage peeked inside and his head was ripped off of his body.

Then a figure stepped out. It was Sahira and yet it was not her. The figure was like a real werewolf though it shimmered in the sun as a vampire. Her eyes were completely black except for small golden spots, her fur white, her hands had claws instead of fingertips and she had a full tail. at full height, she was bigger than Emmett and Felix. Growls and snarls were escaping from her throat. When she stepped around, she walked on all fours like a normal animal. One vampire of the Romanian army tried to grab her attention by poking her with some sort of spear. A terrible idea because when Sahira finally had enough of the poking, she turned her dark gaze to the one poking. She grabbed the spear, snapped it in half, ripped the vampires arm off and then she poked him with that arm on the wound she had made. The vampire, some random male, yelped loudly which angered Sahira and she stuffed his mouth with his hand before crushing his vocal chords. The yelps had woken the baby up and it started to cry from the cold and all the noise. Stefan tried to quiet it down but it was too late.

Sahira had heard the cries and it were Jasper and Edward who witnessed something amazing through their gifts. Jasper had felt Sahira's emotions the moment she stepped out of her cage and all he felt was anger and restlessness. Edward had only read thoughts from Sahira about escaping the crowds, murder and hunger. However when the baby started crying, the thoughts changed to memories of hearing it before, wanting to sooth the child and to kill whoever was responsible for making it cry. Her feelings changed from anger to protective and from restless to motherly care.

She sniffed the air and searched for the child that was crying out for his parents."It's amazing to witness how the cries of an infant have an effect on its mother." Jasper murmured and Edward agreed with a nod. However no one noticed that Carlisle had the same protective feelings towards his son.

"Stefan, if you want to stay alive I suggest you give me my son. We have seen what Sahira can do if she isn't really controlling her strength. if she thinks you caused her child's distress, that strength will become controlled and you will die. If you give me, her mate, our son she might calm down." It was also because Carlisle didn't trust Sahira's self-control being strong enough to hold the baby without harming it by accident after he saw what she did so far.

The Romanian coven didn't agree and they attacked. The wolves attacked the Romanians with Sam at the front to protect his sister's mate and child and the vampires from the Cullen/volturi side joined the wolves. Carlisle tried to take the child out of Stefan's but Stefan dodged him and walked away with the child. Sahira still tried to find her child and killed anyone that smelled like the bad vampires she killed before and the ones that took away her child when it was born.

The fight wasn't long but tedious though Marco was killed by Seth and Leah, and Dani was taken care of by Sahira. Bella took care of Lani with Charlotte since her gift didn't work on mental shields. So the most annoying gifts were taken down. The rest of the Romanian army was easily rounded up as if they hadn't trained properly relying on the numbers and the gifts that were taken down rather than actual fighting skills. The vampires were forced on their knees and guarded by the Volturi. When the smoke from the fires had died down, it turned out that Carlisle was in the process of ripping Stefan's leg off and Stefan was biting Carlisle in the hip.

The baby was laying a couple of feet aside from them. Carlisle let go of Stefan because of the pain in his hip and the latter crawled to the child. When he reached it he felt hot air on his head and he had a pair of giant paws in his sight blocking his path to the infant. Looking up he saw a giant muzzle and a pair of golden spotted black eyes. her lips were raised showing big sharp teeth that looked like they could shred through his skin easily. Benjamin from the Egyptian coven had taken the child using his elemental gift on the earth and brought it to Carlisle.

Stefan felt chills run over his body which he wasn't used to. He was... fearing for his life. He tried to crawl away but Sahira simply followed him as if she was hunting her prey. When he fell in a ditch, she attacked. She ripped him completely apart not caring that she got bits of vampire body in her fur and that she was covered in venom. The baby started crying when it bumped into his father. Sahira's ears picked it up straight away and she looked up. Shaking her body the venom and bits of Stefan's body were shaken out of her fur and she trotted to where her child was. The vampires around the three stayed silent wondering how Sahira would react to Carlisle. Would she recognise him as her mate?

When she reached him Carlisle was soothing the baby ignoring the pain in his hip that was fading as the wound was healing. Sahira stalked around him snarling and growling as she tried to make him give her her pup. Carlisle didn't react as she expected. "Sahira, stop that nonsensical noise. you're going to wake him up again." She understood what he said but she didn't get why he wasn't scared like that other vampire she just killed. It angered her that her plan wasn't working and she raised an arm to cut his head off like she had done with the vampire that opened her cage.

"Don't you dare touch us with that filth in your fur. Go roll through the snow until you are clean before you can touch our son." Carlisle said. Sahira lowered her arm not quite understanding how the vampire holding her pup was so calm. If he was so calm while she threatened him, than maybe he wouldn't hurt her pup. He did get it quiet and peacefully asleep. Deciding to trust him just a little she stepped back and took a snow-bath while she kept an eye on him. When she deemed herself clean, she approached him again.

This time Sahira was far calmer and when she was near, Carlisle finally really looked at her. She did remember eyes like his looking at her. She felt confused though, she remembered a voice telling her her mate was killed. This person was an imposter. He had to be, right? Slowly she reached out with a fingertip tracing Carlisle's face trying to not hurt him. Then she nuzzled him taking his scent in. She really was controlling herself.

Sahira found the mark she had left on Carlisle before they were separated and she recognized it as her own due to the scent that lingered on it. She chose a different form, her human form, though the dark eyes didn't change, and she wrapped herself around the two that she could call hers. "Mine?" Sahra's voice was a bit off as if it wasn't used to talking. She had lain her head on his shoulder.

"Yes, yours." That apparently made her happy because she purred like a satisfied cat and she cuddled with her little family looking at her son for the first time. The child looked back at her and the two's bond was complete. Slowly Carlisle put the child in its mother's arms.
