Chapter 38: More Poof of Theory

On Kamino, The Jedi decided to take turns watching for the scan to get complete. When the Prime Minister, Taun We, stated it might take awhile, Mark thought she meant a few hours. No it is going on the second day and Mark mind keep straying to the fact that there are Imperial Dark Jedi on the planet. Through when either he or Logan is not protecting the room with the Clone being scanned, they are both trying to keep a secret eye out on them.

Base upon their inaction, Mark decided that they might be there to protect someone who works for them, which increases the thought of their might be a traitor Cloner with them.

Mark allowed Mara to stay and protect the room, but he will not allow her to put herself in danger for trying to gather information. Mark knows Logan is skilled with gather information, just like he is, without being caught. Though, he wishes he could gather some more evidence that there is a traitor among the Cloners, but he does not have access to the security cameras station all around the factories.

Right now, Mark and Logan have been working on finding out the traitor. The worst part they have to do it in secret since they do not want to hurt any Kaminoans feelings. With Logan's background of being a smuggler along with Maria, Mark figures he will be best at gathering information. When it got close to night, Mark walks into the room and finds Mara sitting with her legs cross and her eyes close meditating. As soon as she heard the doors open, her Lightsaber, which was already in her hands were activated. She opens her eyes to see Mark.

"Master, it might be unwise for you to sneak up on me like that. You should announce yourself before entering the door." say Mara looking up. Mark knows Mara was meditating to help her protect the room. He could sense she was deep within the Force. "I came here to relieve you of your duties. I will not take a no this time. You haven't eaten anything sense daybreak and you haven't let me or your father take over. I am not asking, but telling you nicely. Go get something to eat. If you want you may come back and help me with part of my duty. Do mind, if you do decide to return being some food." say Mark with a smile.

"Okay, where is Daddy?" ask Mara as she looks at Mark. "Really I haven't seen him since lunch; he was with me patrolling around the factory. Taun We is in her offices keeping track of the scans." say Mark as he walks over to the Hologram and notices that it is almost done. Though he cannot check any of the details until it is all the way done. He looks at the Clone who was put into a coma like state. Hearing the door slides open once more, Mark knows Mara has just left.

At Amelia's house on Bakura, Rachelle stared in amazement at everything being plan for the wedding. Being a Jedi she was not prepare for something like that due to the fact that the wedding ideas she have seen would be fitting for a queen or a princess.

"Weddings are a big deal on Bakura, Rachelle. Though they are not as big deal as award ceremony." say Amelia looking at some of the Holograms with Rachelle. Rachelle knows that award ceremonies are a very big thing on Bakura, since she had experience the one that Mark got awarded. "Oh, I just cannot wait to see my little sister in a wedding dress." say Lillian in a teasing tone. Rachelle just stuck out her tongue to her recovering sister. Everyone hopes with Lillian being on Bakura, she could recover from her trauma she had on Naboo.

"What about you Lils, you are older than me and not even married." say Rachelle. "I am married to my job." say Lillian with a smug look on her face. Everyone at the table would have trouble imaging Lillian falling in love with someone. She is always working her butt off. Though, Lillian does love what family she does have. She loves her sister greatly and those she considered a part of her family such as Zane family and Skywalker family.

"If you married, where is your ring and how come I never meet this person name work before?" say Rachelle with a teasing voice. "Are you even going to have a ring, last time I check, Jedi only get money for missions they are on in case they need it." say Kim as she looks at Rachelle.

"There was something pass by the Galactic Senate that any Jedi that are parents to a child gets a room in a apartment building nearby the Jedi Temple and the government will provide money for them base upon what they do in the Jedi Order. For example A Jedi Healer will be paid the same amount that a doctor does. Someone like Mark, he will be paid for whatever type of missions he does. To be able to have this, the Jedi must be a single parent or both parents being a Jedi. The money is to go to raising a child and supporting a family. Did you forget about that, Kim?" ask Amelia. Kim bows her head and blushes about. She has indeed forgotten about that law within the Galactic Republic. So in a way a Jedi could make money to support their children.

"Though Mom, that option is not available to every Jedi. In the main part the Jedi do not actually make money. That money is given to the Jedi as a way to help with their children." say Kim as she looks.

The talk about kids and that law have Rachelle daydreaming about her future. She knows that Amelia and the various members of the Zane family will help provide them with money for the children. The law expects a child born of a Jedi that has a living non- Jedi parent, expects the parent that is not a Jedi to support a child. If something happens to the non-Jedi parent as if in death or medical reason, then the government will help with money for the child.

Lillian notices the zoned out Rachelle and she shakes her head as she slaps Rachelle in the back of the head. The last thing she wants to do is become an aunt so early. Though she will cherish any children that her younger sister will ever have. She loves her sister greatly and that love will extend to anyone she considers family and any children she has.

"Rachelle, I swear if you thinking about children already, I will beat you silly. Wait a few years." say Lillian. "Hey I am allowed to daydream, just because I want them does not mean I want them as soon as possible. I hope to have them as soon as Vader and Sidious are dealt with." say Rachelle. No one needs to know the reason for that. The reason behind that is Mark feels it is his personal duty to bring those two Sith Lords down.

"I know when you two have kids; Mark will be a very protective father. He was very protective over me when I was younger, well the one that I was born with, but Mark told me that he was protective over me before he left for the Jedi Order. I remember this one day at the local park that used to be down the road before it closed, mother and father was sitting on the bench but I was block from view by the slide, this bully try to physically hit me and Mark beat him easy and threaten him that if he even dared to decide to bully me again, he will be worst than he was at the time." say Kim. "Mark does not seem like the type of person who would use violence so easily." say Rachelle.

"Mark is a Bakuran and his loyalty is far stronger than most Bakuran. His loyalty is to the Jedi Order and his family. Those who dares to mess with us or the Order he will get them. Though you also have to remember this was before he went to the Jedi Order." say Kim. This had Rachelle mind backtracked to their recent venture on Mandalore. Obi-wan thought Mark was very mad about her apparent death in the palace and it leads him to killing his own father.

"You are also forgetting that it takes a lot to push Mark that far even with his loyalties. If I remember correctly, Mark could have killed Maxus a bunch of times and came close that one time on Corellia when Maxus murder Garm's wife and children." say Amelia. Rachelle remembers the aftermath of that event; it had hurt Mark so much because he came close to the Dark Side. She also know on Mandalore Mark came very close to the Dark Side. She could recall in perfect detail of Mark spinning around and his electric blue plasma bladed Lightsaber beheads Maxus Zane.

After people settle down from talking about Mark they went back looking over the plans and making more for them. Though Amelia is still planning on getting

After a couple hours of relaxing in the room that the Kaminoans gave them, Mara made her way back to the room where the scanning was happening. She finds her mentor leaning against a wall in the corner. His eyes maybe open but she can tell he was meditating. Unlike her he did not activate or even draw his Lightsaber but just simply smile when he sees her.

"I thought I ask you to bring food." say Mark as he crosses his arms. Mara pretended to look sad as she reach inside her robe. Out from an internal pocket she pulls out a hard clear plastic box that has tabs. "When have I ever failed at a mission like this, Master? It is not like trying to lift boxes with metal scrap weighing up to 500 pounds with the Force." say Mara with a smile on her face. "Cannot really consider this nor that training as a mission, but thank you for the food." say Mark as he press the clear buttons on the tabs and the box started to have a steamy look to it. He opens it up and the food was warmed as if it just came from the stove. He took a fork that came with the container and being eating.

"Well, if you ask me, base on the difficult I had, I consider that a mission that I was able to overcome it." say Mara. Mark cracks a smile. "People say I have an Eidetic memory. According to what I remember, I do not remember asking you that." say Mark pointing at her. Mara looks confused. "What's Eidetic memory?" ask Mara. She watches as her mentor take a couple more bites of food and shallow before he answers it. "It is the correct terminology for the photographic memory. It means I can remember stuff in perfect detail even if it happens for only a few seconds." say Mark as he looks at his Padawan before taking another bite of the food he have.

Mara rolls her eyes; her mentor could have just said photographic memory. It would have been a lot easier for her to understand. She also knows that even through she knows that he has it; he still claims he does not have it.

"So you admit have photographic memory!" say Mara. "I never said I have it, I said people say I have Eidetic memory, but I do not have it." say Mark. "Than what do you call it when you remember something later when you only witness a few seconds behind. I recall you remember a license plate in Coruscant traffic 2 hours later. I remember because your sister took a picture of that Speeder since it was nice looking and you never saw the image and you got the plate right." say Mara. "Just good memory skills." say Mark.

Mara groans as she shakes her head. She now understands what Rachelle meant when Mark could be so frustrating. Se also knows Rachelle could be slightly frustrating too based upon her friend's, Leia, comments. Even though they both think their mentors could be frustrating, they still respect them a lot and have been learning a lot. Even Rachelle stated that even though she has been Knighted, Mark is still teaching her things.

Even Jenna Farlay, Mark's second Padawan, said Mark might be frustrating, but she still considers him as a great teacher on par with Yoda. So far Mara has to agree, Mark is a very great teacher. He is not afraid to point out your mistakes, scold you when you needed and compliment you. He does not point out your mistakes to make you look bad or embarrassed, he does it to show you it so you can corrected. When he scolds you it is never drastic, but still enough to make you see wrong. While he might scold you, he compliments you a lot and helps you feel better about yourself. Personally, Mara have had problems when she feels bad about herself and her mentor have proven himself to be a great teacher by making her feel better. Though she also remember the time when Mark was watching her at the Jedi Temple she snuck some food from the dinning hall kitchens and Mark was mad. He scolded her for misbehaving, but not harshly.

"So is that scan done already? I sense that something bad is going to happen." say Mara. Mark have been sensing that too, but are the Dark Jedi stupid enough to attack a place full of soldiers ready to fight against them. Yes, it is hard to take down a trained Force Sensitive, but it is not impossible. They say killing a Jedi is a near impossible and those who manage get respect from those who hate Jedi because not everyone that is not sensitive to the Force could do that. Most likely one of the reason why most anti-Jediism people went to the Empire due to the fact of what Maxus Zane could do.

The thoughts of Order 66 came back strongly in his head. The reason that comes up is what Darth Vader of his universe did to the Jedi Order. It happens rarely that he thought back to such an awful time, but when he does it makes him feel bad that he is in this dimension which is in a better ship than the one he come from. It makes him feel like he is hiding from the problem, when in fact he knows that his vision of Luke Skywalker redeeming his father and taking down Sidious will come true. Plus his mission is here in this universe. As much as he feels bad, he would not change anything in his life.

Order 66 is a thing to prove that sometimes good come from such a bad thing. Even though Mark hates to think that dreadful event have any good, but if it never happen, he would have never meet Rachelle Hunter, whom he loves a lot.

Mark shakes his head to rid the thoughts of that misfortunate event. He looks back down at his Padawan. "It is getting close but we still have some more waiting to do. Very soon we will have the evidence and I have the strongest feeling my thought about a traitorous Cloner will be true." say Mark as he crosses his arm and stares at the clone.

First I want to apologize for the lateness of this post. All last week, I have been working 2 hours later at work or start a hour early at work so, I was so tired when I got home I did not feel like to type of post this. Also I work 2 Saturdays in a row so when I get home all I feel like doing is popping in a DVD and watch a movie. It seems like I will post whenever I get the chance. Also throw in the fact I keep on having writer's block. For those who does not know what a writer's block is, that is when you cannot either think up an idea or how to present that idea in the story and this chapter is providing a lot of that. Also I have been thinking of what I want to post in the next chapter and how to present it.

So the thing is, until I get used to this working, we all have to put up with this way of posting. I like to try to get at least 3 chapters down per week, but at the most I might be able to get one done. Once again, I am sorry about that. I normally do not post 1 chapter per week or 1 per couple weeks, but I am still getting use to working. Also throw in the fact I like what I do in work, it always makes it harder for me to leave.

Onto this chapter. You remember I stated in one of my stories that their was a bill that passed in the Senate to help Jedi who have children to support them. While I put that in this chapter to give more detail in it and to remind you such bill does exist in this series. Normally, Jedi are not given Credits (The in universe money system of the Galactic Republic and Galactic Empire) unless for missions.

Also we have build up to what Mark think that their is a traitor within the Cloners and it looks like it is proven true so far. So when I ever get that chapter posted, keep an eye out.

Okay remember I was making a Minister Defense, I still need ideas of who will be the Grand Admiral, Grand General, Grand Chief, Grand Director of Intelligence. I also need to know if any ideas you may have for the wedding of Mark and Rachelle.
