Severus was in his office when the ring started to burn, startling him because it had only been him that was needed one other time. The next second the wards told him that his Portkey was coming through, and was ready when she came in, grabbing Mia before she collapsed, "Mia."

She was in bad shape, there was no way around that, and the man was shocked to being a statue. That is until Albus yelled from his portrait, "Get her to headquarters and healed Severus!"

"Right," with her in his arms, they were soon at the house, where they were not alone anymore. Not caring at that moment what had happened, Severus barged through, making sure he kept Mia safe, "Move!"

In her room, the clothes were gone, only underwear remained, and he saw the extent of the damage. Trying to put it aside, he summoned the potions he needed and began working on reversing the damage. When he saw what had been sliced into her forearm, Severus blew a hole in the bathroom door, and knew who had done it, there was only one person that adept at the Cruciatus Curse.

With Mia in bed finally, a Dreamless Sleep in her so she had a few hours of rest, the drained man head down the stairs and saw that all of the teens were sporting some healing injury, "What happened?"

"We were caught by snatchers, Mia killed Greyback, and we were taken to Malfoy Manor. Lestrange took Mia, tortured her for hours, we weren't able to do anything. Then Dobby showed up," all heads drooped at the mention of the house elf.

"What happened to Dobby?" Even though he suspected already.

A white cloth shrouded body was resting on the kitchen table, a bed of flowers already in place. Luna wiped tears away, "He saved our lives but Lestrange's knife got him as he brought Harry and Ron back."

"Did Mia call for him?"

"Yeah, she told him to save us. He took Dean and Mr Ollivander first, then Griphook. He'd unlocked the dungeons and found our wands for us before going, so we head up to find Mia, we didn't know she was already gone. Found Lestrange though, she was pissed at losing Mia, so was Malfoy," Ron explained, "We were doing alright, Dobby came back for Luna, but then the snatchers came back."

"See Mia had bitten Scabior in the wrist, didn't realise that she'd killed him, and the others were pissed at losing two in one go. Dobby took the knife that was meant for me, as he was taking us away," Harry said devastated at the loss of his small friend, "How's Mia?"

Severus got himself a drink, "She's hanging on. There was a lot of damage, Bellatrix is the most sadistic thing I have had the displeasure of meeting."

"She wasn't, I mean, Malfoy was very pissed at her and there were snatchers," Ron stumbled out.

"No, it was only Bellatrix," the man was pleased about that because he knew that Lucius had done things in the past. Looking at the time, his shoulders slumped, "I am going to check on her but then must return to the school. Make sure she takes her potions."

"We will sir," Luna said strongly.

Severus nodded to the teens before going back up the stairs. In the room, he lay by his unconscious friend, holding her hand and smoothing back her hair. Sighing heavily, he gently kissed her forehead and quickly wrote a note to her, leaving it under her beaded purse, and left.

The metamorph was unconscious for the day, kept under by Luna and a very heavily pregnant Tonks spelling sleeping potions into her. She woke on the last day of March and remembered what had happened. Getting up and looking in her full length mirror, she let a tear loose at the damage, smashing it in anger when she saw the word that would be forever scarred into her forearm.

Getting dressed, she saw the note and smiled, 'Dear Mia, I have left you in the hands of your siblings, I hope that they let Lovegood take care of you as she has a modicum of intelligence. I did everything I could to heal you but there are things I was unable to fix, for that I am sorry. Please get in touch when you do awaken, Severus.'

Not finding her wand, Mia slowly made her way down the stairs, wondering why Dobby wasn't there the second she woke, as he usually was when she was unwell. As she hit the bottom step, she fumbled and alerted the group in the lounge, "Mia!"

"What are you doing out of bed?" Harry asked worriedly, grabbing her and carrying her over to a chair.

"I woke up and Dobby wasn't there," she drift off when she saw the sadness, "What?"

"Mia, Dobby, Lestrange killed him with a dagger she threw at me," Harry admitted, his green eyes brimming with tears.

The coldness in her heart clenched tightly, she could barely breathe, "Where is he?"

"We buried him outside," Tonks said, wanting to hold her friend but knowing it wouldn't be accepted.

Not looking at the others, Mia moved as fast as she could to the back door, and to where she saw a slab of marble. Tripping when she was almost there, the witch fell in the mud, and cried, curled up on her side on top the freshly filled grave. The skies themselves cried with her, the storm that had been moving past dropped everything it had onto her.

Inside of the house, Remus had just taken his head from the fireplace and greet Severus when he walked through, "She's just found out about Dobby."

"I thought someone was going to get me when she woke so I would tell her," he wasn't angry, just tired, it had been a long few days.

"She came down without us even realising and mentioned him, she saw that something was wrong and we weren't going to lie to our sister," Ron explained, he was with the others looking out the kitchen window at the witch.

When he saw her out there, Severus shook his head and went out into the storm. For the first time, instead of allowing him to move her, Mia fought back, "No, let me go!"

"Mia, you have to come inside," he called out over the thunder.

"Don't come near me!" She backed away, hitting a tree and then falling back to the ground.

The hurt showed in his eyes and when he knelt in front of her, reaching out to touch her, a knife went in his heart when she shied away, "Why not?"

"Because everyone I care about dies," Mia said, barely heard over the storm, "I can't lose you too Severus."

"Silly girl," she didn't fight when he took her into his arms, not caring that he was getting covered in mud, "I'll always be here."

By the time they were back inside, Mia was passed out in his arms, "Lovegood, can you and the newest Lupin clean Mia up?"

The two women nodded, walking with the man up to the main bedroom, where he lay her in the bathtub before leaving to the only other bedroom on the top floor, one that was somewhat his. After having a shower that would have warmed even a corpse, Severus returned to the main bedroom to see the witches floating Mia towards her bed. He took her instead, and nod to the pair, who were quick to leave. No one mentioned the fact Snape didn't come back downstairs.
