Jasper POV
I couldn't stop the extreme happiness buzzing out of me when the day to propose to Bella came around. Everything had arrived just like Alice promised; the swing set and the roses. I trusted her with all of it. Emmett had bought tons of fireworks and Alice was left to set up the backyard. I had asked Victoria and Jade to keep Bella busy for the morning as we all prepared for the big moment. I kissed Bella chastely on her lips before she left; missing her after she was gone.
"Jasper, can you come here please?" Alice hollered from outside. I dashed outside quickly and immediately felt horror overcome my being.
In the middle of the backyard, there was a yellow, blue, red, and green children's swing set. I looked around the backyard and I felt my disappointment growing by high amounts. The yard was covered with bright yellow sunflowers. I groaned aloud, putting my head into my hands.
"I'm so sorry, Jasper. They got the orders mixed up and there isn't a way to get it changed today. I'm really sorry." I could hear the remorse in her voice. I took a deep breath before looking up at her. I could feel her anxiousness and remorse.
"It's okay Alice. You did great. Thank you so much for helping me." We exchanged a small hug and smile. I raced back into the house to get ready before Bella got back. I decided to dress myself in a light blue button up with black slacks and shoes.
Victoria and Jade brought Bella home in a dazzling blue dress. It was ruffled at the bottom and fell just above her knees; she looked stunning. Alice winked at me from the couch and I smiled nervously.
"You look quite handsome, Jasper. What do I owe this pleasure to?" Bella said with a giggle, coming to wrap her arms around me. I smirked before leading Bella outside; ready or not.
"Cover your eyes sweetheart." I murmured softly into her ear. Bella pouted, crossing her arms in an adorable manner. I laughed before covering her eyes with my hands. I led her around to the backyard slowly.
"You're not going to make me walk in on Emmett and Rosalie having a sex fiasco, are you?" Emmett snickered from inside and I couldn't help but laugh; my heart was soaring.
"I would never do that to you; again…" I could feel Bella smirk against my arms. I sat down on the child's swing set first causing it to creak quietly. I put Bella in the yellow swing. "Open your eyes love." She did and busted into giggles.
"What is all of this?" She asked, looking around the yard at the flowers and the swing set. Suddenly, a white powdery substance that I could identify to be flour was flying off of the roof, covering me. Edward and Emmett peered down hesitantly.
"I'm going to kill you two." I growled with my voice full of frustration. Bella giggled, wiping the flour away from my eyes.
"Jasper, sweetie, please tell me what all of this is about?" She asked, staring lovingly at me with those multicolor eyes.
"I was supposed to be perfect." I groaned, placing my head in my hands. Bella pulled my chin to make me look at her.
"Jasper Whitlock Hale, tell me what was supposed to be perfect?" I sighed at Bella's impatient look.
"I was going to ask you to marry me. This swing set was supposed to be a fancy romantic one and there was supposed to be dozens of roses instead of sunflowers. Emmett was supposed to light off fireworks. It's all been screwed up." I said wryly. Bella gasped, staring at me with wide eyes.
"Jazz, it doesn't have to be perfect; being with you alone is already more than perfect for me. We could be trapped in a sewer and you ask me, and I would have said yes. Jasper, I would be honored to be your wife." My smile couldn't have been bigger if it was physically possible. I pounced on her in a hug, sending us flying and crushing a bundle of sunflowers. My lips captured hers in this special moment. I am the most fortunate man in the universe. Emmett set off the fireworks, lighting up the sky and creating the perfect moment with my love. Bella laughed and kissed me again. I could hear cheering from the balconies. Jade and Trey both jumped on us and we laughed loudly. We were finally a family. This is going to be astounding.
