Sonic finds a baby Pikachu. After this fateful encounter they set off on an adventure with some old and new friends to take on the pokemon league after leaving Emerald City. Pikachu also evolved at an early age, they set out to show the world what they are made of and to find about Pikachu's unknown ability. Please R&R. 36. Tune City

A/N: Heya back again from long hiatus lol, anyway hope you guys enjoy!

B/N: Starting with chapter 27 and along to here, this is my tenth chapter of Sonic the Pokemon Trainer that I have beta'd. Has been delightfully fun so far ^_^

Harlie has joined the crew along their adventure to beat all the gym leaders and possibly the Elite Four and Champion.

"Thanks for inviting me along Sonic." Harlie grinned.

"No problem, now the next city is Steampunk City."

"Sonic the actual next city is Tune City," Tails said, glancing down at the map again. "And we are getting pretty close too!"

"Damn, oh well hopefully we have more training." Sonic grinned to Pikachu.

"Well I need to do some shopping while we are in town." Dakota yawned.

"Wonder what Aqua is up to?" Knuckles asked.

Tails grinned. "Call her and find out."

"I might, besides since we might be stopping here I could ask her for another date." He grinned.

"So Knuckles, you are dating someone?" Harlie asked, looking back towards him.

He nodded. "Yup, and she cute as hell."

"Well sure hope I can find someone to fall in love with," she sighed.

Sonic looked at her for a split second but shrugged.

"We are here," Tails said, looking at the entrance to the city. "C'mon let's go there should be a Pokemon Center nearby."

Sonic looked to see the Pokemon Center and Spine exiting it.

"Spine! I need to ask him for a battle!" Sonic sped off.

Harlie turned to Dakota. "Huh? Who is that?"

"That is Spine he is Sonic's rival. Well, one of Sonic's rivals."

"Spine!" Sonic yelled.

"Sonic," Spine replied, cheer lighting his face "What's good?"

"Long time no see." They both slapped hands.

Spine nodded, he turned to see the others. "Hello everyone and...?"

"Harlie," Harlie introduced herself, and scooted a little closer to Sonic.

"Nice to meet you."

Sonic grinned. "This is my student, she has super speed like me."

"Neat, so let's have a battle then!"

They both went to a grassy field in Tune City.

Sonic smirked. "Alright Spine, let's do this! Metagross go!"

"METAL!" Metagross's voice rang.

"Show me what you've got Sonic, Garchomp rise!"

The other pseudo-legendary pokemon roared as it stomped the ground.

"Alright! Will do! Metagross! Start off with a Meteor Mash!"

Metagross folded his legs and prepared his arm that started to glow and shine with little meteor bits around it

"Garchomp, catch him with Dragon Claw!"

Garchomp braced as Metagross flew at him, the full weight plus some of the metagross smashed into Garchomp, but with her claws glowing he was able to catch the attack, the weight of Metagross pushing her back and digging a spear gouge through the ground.

"Our turn, flip Metagross and then use Earthquake!"

"Concentrate Metagross! Use Psychic to shield yourself!

Metagross eveloped himself in pink energy...

The shockwaves of the Earthquake were blunted slightly by the Psychic energy, but a lot of damage still punched through.

"Don't give him a chance to recover, use Crunch!"

With jaws darkening with negative energy, Garchomp bit down to shatter the Psychic hold.

Sonic smirked. "Nice, now that she is close! Meteor Mash to the face!"

Metagross struck Garchomp in the face knocking the pokemon a fair distance back.

"Metaaal!" Metagross roared getting pumped up.

"Hit him back, Dragon Claw to the face!"

Garchomp roared back, getting pumped herself, and raked the draconic claws along Metagross' metal body.

"Metagross, Sludge Bomb!"

Metagross then spat the purple sludge at Garchomp who clutched her chest, showing the sign of being poisoned.

"Crack the world, Earthquake!" Spine ordered.

Garchomp pushed through the disorientating effect of the poison and slammed her feet down, causing the earth to shift and shockwaves to barrage Metagross.

"Metagross! You use Meteor Mash to create your own Earthquake!"

"METAL" Metagross obeyed slamming the metal claws into the ground returning the shockwaves and shattering earth back toward Garchomp barraging her as well.

"Fly up, quick!"

Garchomp took to the sky moments before the rock splinters struck her.

"Metagross, fly up as well. Levitate using your psychic powers!"

Metagross floated upwards as he folded his legs inward.

"Iron Head, knock her out of the sky!"

Garchomp tucked in her wings and sped into Metagross, sending her full weight into his.

"Oh no you don't Catch her with Psychic and throw her down away from you!"

Metagross covered Garchomp in the pink energy and flung her to the ground. Metagross landed and stared down the Garchomp who was trying to get up.

Garchomp managed to stand, swaying on her feet. She straightened her back and roared.

Then the poison kicked in.

Garchomp crashed as she fell down, unconscious.

"Yes! Alright!"

"Metal!" Metagross yelled.

"Pretty good Spine." Sonic nodded. "That Garchomp was a gabite the last time I saw her, heh"

"And pretty good Sonic," Spine replied. "But this is far from over. Dragonair!"

With a twist as if they were swimming in air, Dragonair appeared to battle.

"Dragonair... wait that was Dratini... okay then! Metagross get ready!"

"Metal!"

"Begin this battle with Surf!" Spine commanded. Dragonair hummed to the wind as a tidal wave appeared to slam against Metagross.

"Metagross! Use Sludge Bomb to knock Dragonair off that wave!"

Metagross spat the toxic sludge towards the serpentine dragon pokemon.

"Freeze the poison with Ice Beam!"

Dragonair twisted and blasted a stream of ice at the poison globules, freezing them solid.

"Damn, Fine! Throw that frozen poison with Psychic!"

Metagross hummed as the psychic energy enveloped the iced toxin and it shattered on Dragonair.

"Now, Dragonrage! Blast that ice AND Metagross!"

Dragonair keened a high cry before blasting a storm of multi-colored energy at Metagross, disintegrating the ice and knocking the gargantuan beast back.

"Metagross, stay strong! Use Meteor Mash and hold Dragonair with Psychic to ensure a hit!"

Metagross held Dragonair trapped in the psychic energy and then accelerated towards him with the meteor-laced punch.

Metagross' metal fist collided with the thin body of Dragonair and sent him flying back, screeching in pain.

Dragonair fell into a roll, which became more coordinated until he was just swishing through the air again. "Blizzard, slow that computer down!" Spine ordered and Dragonair froze two of Metagross' legs to the ground. "Surf!"

"Metagross! Try to break the ice off!"

Metagross tried but to no avail as he was hit by the tidal wave.

"Freeze him completely! Ice Beam!"

With the water still surging, Dragonair froze Metagross mid-wave. "Now rampage with Dragonrage!"

"Metagross don't give in, retaliate with Sludge Bomb!"

Metagross tried aiming the Sludge Bomb at Dragonair, but was no use since his front legs were chained to the ground by the ice.

The Dragonrage washed over Metagross, forcing a metallic, agonized moan from the pokemon.

"Finish him off with Surf!"

The wave hit Metagross and slammed him back past Sonic and he finally left his body fall to the ground.

"Damn," Sonic cursed. "Alright Metagross return. You did well, now go! Doublade!"

"Doublade!" the metallic hum came from the ghastly sword pokemon.

"Dragonair?" Spine called. "You okay to continue?"

"Nair!" Dragonair, confidently, replied.

"Alright Doublade! Open up with Sacred Sword!"

Doublade hummed at his trainers command as he glowed bright red.

"GO now!" Sonic ordered.

"Counter with Surf, slow that sword down!" Spines retorted, Dragonair immediately forming a bubble of water around himself.

"Not so fast! Doublade! Use Shadow Ball to weaken that Surf!"

"Doublade!" He fired, while spinning.

The Shadow Ball connected with Dragonair within the water cocoon and exploded, sending him to the ground with a cry of pain.

"Is he down?" Sonic asked... "Yes! Alright Doublade!"

"Blade!"

"DRRRAAAIGONAIIR!"

Dragonair roared, he was not going down so easily.

"Now you've done it." Spine smirked as Dragonair's eyes glowed red. "Full power Dragon Rage!"

Dragonair, rather disgruntled already, pushed all his fury into his attack. Sending off a torrential wave of pure draconic energy. There was no way for Doublade to avoid the wave and he was enveloped in its broiling energies.

Dragonair panted hard as his eyes returned to normal. All of his power, all of his energy, went into that attack.

"Shit, never jump the gun!" Sonic said as Doublade fainted as well as Dragonair who gave out from exhaustion

"Nice. Well done Dragonair. So... what do you think Sonic? Next pokemon?"

"Pikachu! Get in there buddy!"

"Pikachu!"

"Cofagrigus, get ready!" Spine commanded as the possessed sarcophagus appeared with a sinister giggle.

"Alright Pikachu go for Thunderbolt! But run as you fire it!"

Pikachu fired the electricity as he sprinted across the field.

"Steady yourself with Protect!"

Cofagrigus hummed as he generated a shimmering green shield, the Thunderbolt bouncing harmlessly off it.

"Okay then! Pikachu use Grass Knot around the shield!"

Pikachu caused vines to appear from the bottom of the field.

The shield cracked from the pressure and began to shatter.

"Quick!" Spines said. "Psychic on the Grass Knot!"

"Now! while he's doing that! Iron Tail on the grass!"

Pikachu spun with the iron tail and broke the psychic shield and the grass slammed into Cofagrigus

Cofagrigus grunted harshly as it was forced back, its shadow arms erupting forth to catch itself.

Now on its back, Cofagrigus scuttled forward as Spine spoke its next move. "Shadow Ball!"

Cofagrigus flipped itself up and formed the ghostly blob of energy, firing it with great force at Pikachu.

"Pikachu! Send it back with Iron Tail!"

Pikachu positioned himself and smacked the Shadow Ball back at Cofagrigus, and Pikachu felt some shock from the force of the Shadow Ball

Cofagrigus was too slow and bulky to dodge, but the rebounded Shadow Ball still barely tickled him.

"If Pikachu's strong, burn him with Will-o-Wisp!"

The blue flames hit Pikachu, who staggered from the burn and flinched from the burning sensation.

"Pikachu! Don't give up! Dig now!"

Pikachu spun around and drilled through the field with his tail.

"Cofagrigus wait," Spine warned, tensing. Several hard moments passed before Spine yelled. "Protect!"

Cofagrigus generated the shield right as Pikachu erupted from the ground. He bounced off it, but scampered right back into the hole before Cofagrigus could act further.

"Pikachu Continue digging."

Pikachu continued burrowing through the ground.

"Now leave electricity behind you!"

"What's he doing?" Spine muttered under his breath. "Alright." He came to a decision. "Drop your Protect and float up."

"Damn, Pikachu! Don't come out, instead shoot electricity from each hole you made!"

Pikachu shot electricity out of the hole his head was poking out... then he ran back to the next hole really quick shooting lightning out of the next. Pikachu continued this to trick Cofagrigus

"Cofagrigus!" Spine yelled as electricity enveloped the battlefield. He covered his eyes to defend from the light, dropping them as soon as the intensity began to fade.

Cofagrigus still floated. "Yeah! His defenses are top notch." Spine grinned. "Now, Psychic to hold Pikachu for a Shadow Ball!"

Cofagrigus held Pikachu with a Psychic and then a shadow ball barrage hit him, then Pikachu sparked electricity... the same time the emeralds were glowing.

Spine squinted before the light became blinding and he had to cover his face again. "What's going on?"

"Yes! It's happening!" Sonic grinned.

"Pikachu is undergoing false mega form!" Tails shuddered, he imagined what Pikachu's true mega would look like with the seven chaos emeralds.

Pikachu continued to spark neon multicolored electricity and it shattered the psychic grip into pink shards of glassy energy across the field unnerving Cofagrigus.

Pikachu opened his eyes and they were multicolored and the rainbow flame-like aura returned.

"What the hell?" Harlie asked losing her typical 'cool' attitude.

"This wont matter," Spine declared. "Cofagrigus, Shadow Ball!"

"Cofagrigus!" The pokemon yelled as the Shadow ball hit Pikachu.

Pikachu grabbed it with his tail shocking everyone.

"Now buddy! Throw it back at them!"

Pikachu swiftly threw the shadow ball at Cofagrigus and Cofagrigus fell to the ground, yet still trying to float.

"What's going on with Pikachu?" Harlie asked.

"What is that?" Spine gasped as Cofagrigus managed to float again. "It's so bright."

"This my friend, is Pikachu with mega potential but not fully, it just happens when he battles sometimes."

Pikachu stayed silent as he stared down Cofagrigus.

"So he's almost a mega?" Spine asked. "Cofagrigus can beat an almost! Go for it, Shadow Ball!"

"Pikachu! Rush right through it!" Sonic grinned.

Pikachu left colored after images behind him as he sliced through the shadow ball making black smoke covering him and he released some electricity and it dispersed.

Cofagrigus sweat dropped.

"Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!"

Azure Thunderbolts struck Cofagrigus and exploded into shiny sparkles.

"Hold on! That wasn't a thunderbolt!" Tails shouted.

"What are you saying?" Knuckles asked.

"What I'm saying is that looks like a whole different move, the problem is I never seen a move like that!"

"COFAGRIGUS!" Spine cried as the azure electricity overwhelmed his pokemon, the sparkles blinding everyone from seeing either pokemon. Finally, a loud crash thumped through the battlefield as Cofagrigus fell, unconscious.

"...Return," Spine whispered, the Ghost pokemon disappearing in a glow of red light. "You did well." He gave Sonic a bright grin. "Amazing, I've never so much as seen something like this, let alone battled it. But I am not out of this yet, Quilava blaze this battlefield!"

Spine's Quilava entered the battlefield in a whoosh of flames and bent down low, prepared for anything.

"Alright Pikachu!" Sonic gave a thumbs up. "Yeah me either Spine, imagine if we had all seven emeralds..."

Pikachu turned to Pikachu and gave a thumbs up. The aura occasionally sparking, he turned and eyed the Quilava.

"Pikachu! Use Brick Break!"

Pikachu glowed red and sprinted and did a flurry of moves but with every blow a shockwave was released that sent little arrows of energy slicing into nearby trees and everyone had to dodge.

"What the hell?" Shadow actually sweated.

"That isn't Brick Break!" Tails cried.

"Tails what the hell is going on!" Harlie asked still not understanding.

Quilava landed and was badly damaged.

Quilava's eyes flashed and the flame on the pokemon's back flared up in an inferno of power.

"Blaze already?" Spine whispered, he knew that meant Quilava was already near fainting. "Flame Wheel full power Blaze!" Spine commanded and Quilava howled before rolling, bringing an inferno with it as it barreled towards Pikachu.

"Quilava's still...? what the...? Nevermind, Pikachu use Dig!"

Pikachu dug under the ground causing a tremor that cracked the ground and when Pikachu arose the ground around the hole lifted as well forming giant shards or earth around Pikachu. Quilava dodged quickly but the tremor did some damage on him. He blazed fiercely.

"Okay, crazy idea. Quilava, go into a hole and use ALL your firepower!"

Then. The earth around them erupted in a near-volcanic eruption.

Pikachu was engulfed by the flames. Everyone stood shocked. Pikachu was singed but he didn't move from his spot.

"Oh shit" Knuckles whispered.

"That wasn't enough?" Spine choked before sighing. He could see Quilava panting heavily and the relatively undamaged Pikachu and raised Quilava's pokeball. "I'm not cruel, Quilava returned. You did amazingly."

"Pikachu!" Sonic called out. "Pikachu turned and collapsed losing the aura and his eyes turning to normal. Sonic ran and picked him up.

"Hey Spine, sorry that happened."

"Heh, no worries." Spine shook his head and instead strode forward to shake Sonic's hand. "It was a great battle. Not always you get to see something like... uh, an almost-mega-evolution. Pikachu is strong though, you've trained him well."

"Thanks but, whew that was an intense battle Spine!"

"Whew you are getting strong Sonic, just what I need to have a good battle at the league!"

"You bet!"

"Yes! Sonic you won!" Harlie said breaking from her cool attitude. "That was amazing, and YOU'RE going to be teaching me!"

Sonic blushed a bit. "Definitely, anytime Harlie"

Sonic and the others noticed a green hedgehog in orange baggy pants approach them with a female milotic slithering right beside him.

"Holy shit that was a noice battle! I'm going to call it the 'Sparking Situation'." He flipped his dark shades up once, giving a look, before flipping them back down.

"Oh, uh thanks," Spine said. "Who are you?"

"My name is Maurice. I'm a hedgehog."

"No way, THE Maurice!?" Dakota lit up.

"The?" Tails asked.

"He is famous for his songs that he and his milotic make together! Not only that his milotic is a rare color, Shiny if you will."

Sonic took out the pokedex.

"Milotic the Tender Pokemon, It is said to live at the bottom of large lakes. Considered to be one of the most beautiful of all Pokémon, it has been depicted in paintings and statues. Its lovely scales are described as rainbow colored. They change color depending on the viewing angle."

"I wouldn't call myself famous, am I right Milotic?" He chuckled.

Milotic rubbed her head against his. "Milo..." she blushed.

"Anyway what are you all up too?" Maurice asked, adjusting his shades.

"I am Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog and I am on an adventure to be a pokemon champion."

"I am Spine the Porcupine, I have the same goal, pretty much." Spine shrugged.

"I'm Miles Prower but everyone calls me Tails."

Knuckles smacked his fists together. "I'm Knuckles the Echidna", nice to meet ya."

"I'm Dakota pleasure to meet you." She bowed.

"Shadow," Shadow said, giving no inflection in his voice.

"I am Sonic's apprentice in speed, Harlie the Porcupine." She returned to her 'cool' attitude.

"Well met, now that Pikachu of yours Sonic, first we need to take him to the Pokemon Center." Maurice pointed out.

Sonic and crew stopped at the Pokemon Center and Sonic gave the pink echidna, staffing the front desk, his Pokemon. "Thank you, we'll return your pokemon once they fully heal."

"Thanks," Sonic said. He turned to the crew and sat down with them.

"So, you and your Milotic seem very close," Dakota said, turning to Maurice.

He nodded. "We are actually married."

"Say what?" Sonic asked.

"Yup." He grinned as Milotic snuggled Maurice.

"See Sonic, it is more common than you think," Tails explained. "Some bonds between pokemon can become even more than just friendship bonds."

"I see, well anyway, Dakota said you were famous for your music that you create with Milotic?"

"Oh yeah, sorta thing we decided on together, in fact imma invite y'all to where i'm going to be getting everyone's groove at."

"Oh?" Harlie asked.

"Ye, a dance competition... might be worth while!"

"What are the rewards?" Shadow asked, taking a surprise interest.

"Let's see some gems I think there is one that is white but it is shaped liked like a large Emerald..."

"A Chaos Emerald!" Everyone gasped.

Maurice and Milotic looked at each other. "A what?"

"You see how Pikachu did that? It was the result of the Chaos Emeralds, seven magic gems that grant power to anyone who has all seven. See somehow Pikachu transforms with the emeralds, but sadly we have only 5 and if we have all seven it may answer us as to why Pikachu does that," Tails explained. "Sonic also turns into Super Sonic with them."

"Interesting, but I will win the competition, even if I do I do not want to deal with a powerful gem so I'll jut give it to you."

"Are you sure?" Dakota asked.

"Yeah besides it is just one piece of jewelry that I can live with out. Don't need that kind of trouble."

Sonic smirked. "A dance off huh, count me in."

"You dance?" Harlie leaned in

Sonic nodded. "Oh yeah, I dance pretty well in fact."

"Well, um, I dance too, I just suck at it."

"Oh come on, I'm sure you are a very good dancer." Sonic smiled.

She blushed holding one arm looking down. "I doubt it."

"Well I believe you can dance well."

She went deep into thought.

"So dude, when is this dance competition?" Knuckles asked.

"In like two days, so be sure to practice." Maurice grinned.

"Alright! So Harlie me and you let's practice!" Sonic got pumped.

"Pi Pikachu!" Pikachu pumped up as well.

"Ok, sure." Harlie grinned, underneath she was a bubbling pot of nerves.

"Well, I know one thing I'm going to do some shopping," Dakota said. "Harlie come along with me."

"What about dancing?"

"You can do that after! Let's go!" She grabbed her arm. "Ok, sorry Sonic."

Sonic waved. "Don't worry take your time."

"What do you say we do, Sonic?" Tails asked.

"Hey, how about since the girls are going to have a night out why don't we too?" Knuckles suggested.

"Ehh Sure, want to join us Maurice?"

He shook his head. "Nah, I am taking Milotic out tonight." She rubbed her head against his.

"Yeah, I'm going to kick it for the night too." Spine yawned.

"Alright then see ya."

"Alright what should we do?" Knuckles asked.

"IDK what about you Shadow?" Sonic asked.

"Well you guys figure it out it's probably stupid..."

"Pi Pikachu!" Pikachu chimed. "Pika Pika Pikachu!"

"Oh I think Pikachu is saying maybe we should use our air ride boards!"

"Oh yeah been forever since we done that." Tails scratched his head "I'll get Professor Pickle to send them over."

"Alright!"

...

"So Harlie what are you going to wear for the dance off?"

"I don't know, what I usually wear?" She shrugged.

"No! If you dance with Sonic at least let your quills grow longer or wear something more appealing."

"Fine I'll change my top but the pants stay," she huffed.

"Ok, how about this?"

"Isn't that kinda revealing?" She asked, trying not to think lewd.

She giggled. "Trust me Sonic is far from perverted... at least i think?"

"Wait am I actually going to dance with him? Or do I like be solo?"

"Well it may be best to be dancing along with him to win the Chaos Emerald"

She was nervous, and wasn't sure why. Maybe because it is her first time dancing in front of someone, let along someone who she respected and trusted. "Fine, if you say he wont care."

"Of course he's not going care, besides you two seem close."

"What?" Harlie asked confused.

"Oh nothing." She giggled. "Actually let's go with these pants!"

"Dakota!"

...

"Alright! Eat my dust!" Sonic taunted as Pikachu held on to his head.

Tails' board flew pasts Sonic. "How about my wind!?" Tails taunted back.

"We'll see about that!" Sonic grinned.

"No no no not today!" Knuckles laughed.

Shadow floated above with his hover shoes. "Idiots." He glowered, watching them have fun and competition at once. "...fine I'll join in and wipe my shoes with you!" He grinned deviously as he put the Air Shoes on and raced after them.

Shadow passed all of them. "Just watch this!"

Sonic and others followed behind. They all flew over a hill and did tricks and landed perfectly. Knuckles almost fell off his board.

"Geez, been rusty at this," Knuckles sighed.

Sonic grabbed his board and spindashed past everyone. When he finished his spindash he yelled. "See ya." Pikachu still managed to hang on to Sonic.

"That bastard," Shadow muttered. "Chaos Control!"

"What the!?" Sonic's eye twitched a bit. "We'll show you!" Sonic grinned.

They boosted past Shadow and curved around the forest and was about to arrive back in the city.

...

"Let me see how they look on you! Dakota encouraged.

"Ok fine" Harlie said entering from the curtain of the changing room and stiffened like a statue.

Dakota looked all around her. "Should be a good thing for you to wear, besides it may catch Sonic's attention." She giggled.

"What do you mean?" Harlie asked.

"Oh nothing." Dakota waved her off. "Ccome on that will do, I wonder what the guys are up to..."

"Oh shit..." Dakota groaned as they saw the pink hedgehog Amy Rose.

"Oh, Dakota and... who is this?" Amy asked.

"This is Harlie the Porcupine, she will be dancing in the thing tomorrow night, with Sonic," Dakota added on, if just to witness the chaos.

"Watch it, Sonic is going to be dating me." Amy turned away.

"Funny, why didn't he ever mention you to me? Besides he told me he's never dated someone before." Harlie scratched her ear.

"Well he's joking," Amy said, rather quickly.

Dakota shook her head. "No he's not, hell you got jealous of me and I have no interest in him. Harlie might, but I never have and you went off at me!"

"Hey!" Harlie snapped. "I do not!"

"Anyway we really need to get going," Dakota huffed.

Amy grabbed Harlie's arm. "Wait!" She shrieked. "Why would Sonic dance with you over me?"

Harlie stayed silent.

"Look," Amy said, seemingly trying to sound soothing. "No offense, but Sonic wouldn't like someone like you."

Harlie started to lose her temper a bit.

"Like he thinks I'm very cute and you just ehh."

"Shut up, I don't like him but he is the first guy to ever want to actually stick with me and help me. He actually doesn't mind how I act, I... respect him for that." She was going red, but it wasn't a blush, that Harlie was certain. "As I said no offence, geez," Amy said. "Look, all i'm saying is Sonic is mine and you stay back." Amy huffed away.

"Does she normally act like a bitch?"

"Only to the girls of Sonic's group... she thinks Sonic is for her, when in truth he doesn't like her."

"Is she not all there or..."

"My guess is she's too dense and oblivious." Dakota shrugged.

"...Hey Dakota..."

"Yeah?"

She looked down "I... I want Sonic to see how I look, cause I think I look bad in this outfit."

"Trust me he'll be blown away, but why do you care if you don't mind me asking?"

"Well you see no dude has ever took the time to know me and all that. I have great respect of him since he actually wants to help me and know me... so I want him to tell me how I look, cause I know he will answer honestly."

"Yeah Sonic is the kind of person that people can get along with very well, well, we should get going now."

Harlie nodded. "Right."

The guys were done riding on their boards and Dakota called them over. Sonic's eyes stopped on Harlie. "Wow... Harlie." He stared.

"I look weird don't I... not usually what a tomboy as my self wears..."

"Are you kidding? You look great!" Sonic complimented.

"I do? Oh thanks," she said keeping her cool.

"No problem, so we need to practice our dancing whenever your ready."

She nodded. "How about tonight, I mean I am feeling in that mood so what to come along with me?"

Sonic nodded as well. "Sure, alright guys I'll catch you later."

Sonic, Harlie and Pikachu walked into a forest.

"So Sonic," Harlie said, breaking the silence. "How do you think me and you are going to do tomorrow night?"

"Who knows... but we need to win and get that Chaos Emerald before Eggman shows up and tries to potentially steal it. Because of course he will, it's Eggman."

"Well then, we need to make it count then."

"Yeah, so let me see some moves." Sonic jumped straight in.

"Wait so just... dance?"

"Yeah."

"Kinda hard without music right?"

"True, one sec." Sonic held his hands up he sped off leaving Harlie and Pikachu there, blinking at the dust.

Spine was on his laptop.

Sonic knocked on his door.

"Yeah?"

"It's me Sonic, let me borrow that music player."

"Sure."

Sonic opened the door and whooshed out with the player.

...

"So Pikachu, this is what Sonic tied on you?" She said, admiring the blue sash tied on Pikachu's right ear.

"Pika!" He nodded.

Sonic came back. "Spine let me borrow this," Sonic answered to their silence. He pressed a button and it started playing music.

"Well, Sonic, I don't usually dance in front of someone..."

"Come on here let me start," Sonic said as he did a spindash and spun on his head then landing on one of his hands striking a pose with one leg folded in and one out. He jumped and crossed his arms and did a spindash in place giving a Pikachu a high five. He then did criss-cross mothing with his legs and he moved around in a circle. Sonic then swirled around on his head with his legs spinning like a helicopter and did a front flip without leaving the ground.

"Got anything like that?" Sonic said after the dance moves.

"Well... sure but it might look bad."

She bent down on her knees and laid her back flat on the ground with her legs still flat on the ground. She opened her eyes and pushed up with her arms and she landed on her hands then fell forward on her feet. She moon walked and held a hand too her forehead and then she shuffled by cartwheeling then ended it off with her in a tree on a branch she folded her legs backwards to hold on to the branch and she leaned all the way back and was so flexible she was able to have her head under the branch and she let go and ended it with a split.

"Damn." Sonic stared in awe.

"Pikachu!"

"Now that's it, now we might have to dance together... are you up for it?"

"Uhh sure?" Harlie asked.

They stood close to each other.

"Um what now?" Sonic said, in all nervousness.

"I don't know... I mean the music is still going... but I guess we try something?" She shrugged.

"Alright let's try this alright try to mirror my movements."

She nodded.

"Alright."

They both did a spindash into each other and both landed on their hands, They both then grabbed their hands and spindashed with each other. they let go to slide backwards on one leg with the other in raised. They then stood on one hand and spun in place on their head. Sonic then said. "Now! Let's mix it up".

"Got it!" Harlie responded. Sonic then held her and threw her up and she did a little spin motion shooting her quills in the air and then Sonic homing attacked them.

They both landed with her in a split and Sonic doing his trademark side slide...

"Whew that was pretty tight!" Sonic got up, giving Harlie a fist bump.

"Yeah it was!" She said getting excited. They both stopped and looked into each other's eyes for a few seconds and both blushed.

Pikachu clapped his hands then was caught in a metal case. "Pikachu!?" He shouted in alarm.

"Pikachu!" Sonic yelled.

"What the hell!" Harlie growled.

"Ohohohoho Nice little show!"

"Eggman!"

"To rule the world with devastation, to unite all peoples within my nation...

to denounce the ruling of an Emperor,

To extend my wrath to the universe above,

"Eggman!"

"Orbot"

"Cubot"

"I will build Eggmanland and become the emperor of the world!"

"Eggman! Why don't you get a Pikachu of your own!?" Sonic growled.

"Why don't you remember what I told you about this Pikachu," he retorted in a smartass voice.

"Boss! You didn't tell me!" Cubot yelled.

"Shut up, now go! Kangaskhan! Scolipede!"

The two pokemon emerged. Ready for battle.

"Fine! Snivy go!"

"Togetic! It's up to you!" Harlie threw the pokeball.

"Alright! Snivy use Leaf Blade on Kangaskhan!" Sonic ordered.

Harlie ordered Togetic. "Togetic Headbutt on Scolipede!"

The two pokemon charged Eggman's pokemon.

"Get a load of this! Scolipede! X-Scissor on Snivy! Kangaskhan, Mega Punch on Togetic!"

The two pokemon clashed the four way moves and all took damage.

"You good Snivy?" Sonic asked.

"Vy!" She responded sharply, the egg-shaped man had her Pikachu, but not for very long.

"What about you Togetic?" Harlie asked.

"Toge!" She also responded.

"Don't let up yet you two! Scolipede Rock Slide on Togetic! Kangaskhan! Dig on Snivy!"

The two pokemon did as they were commanded.

"Togetic keep cover of that dig for Snivy!"

"Thanks, Snivy Iron Tail on Scolipede!"

Snivy landed the hit on Scolipede and knocked her out.

"Shit! Kangaskhan! You better not let me down!"

Harlie held her arm out. "Take the hit Togetic!"

"Oh no you don't! Ice Punch out of the ground!" Eggman roared.

"This is an interesting battle" Orbot said

"How! If we were pokemon this would be pretty gruesome!" Cubot hid in his cube form.

The ice-laced punch struck Togetic and she fainted. "Togetic!"

"Damn, Snivy let's show him what were made of. Don't worry Pikachu, we'll get you out of there! Snivy Leaf Blade! Let's go!"

"Dodge and Ice Punch!" Eggman said.

Kangaskhan dodged the grassy blade and pummeled Snivy with iced fists.

Sonic growled. "C'mon pull through Snivy..."

Snivy fell backwards weak from all the super effective hits she sustained.

"Ohohohoho! Now freeze that puny snake!"

Kangaskhan was about to move when Snivy glowed blue.

Both Sonic and Pikachu watched this with widening eyes of amazement.

She grew taller and her tail grow thicker... she gained more of a snout... she opened her eyes and engulfed the area in light.

"Servine!" She cried.

"Woah! She evolved!" Sonic snapped his fingers and took out his pokedex.

"Servine, the Grass Snake Pokemon. They avoid attacks by sinking into the shadows of thick foliage. They retaliate with masterful whipping techniques. When it gets dirty, its leaves can't be used in photosynthesis, so it always keeps itself clean."

"Pikachu!" Pikachu congratulated.

"This cannot be!" Eggman leaned out of his Eggmobile. "No matter! Kangaskhan! Use Ice Punch once more!"

"Kangaskhan!" She obeyed.

"Servine! Leaf Blade!" Sonic said.

Heeding her trainer's voice, she moved at quick speeds and landed multiple Leaf Blades on Kangaskhan and she fainted.

"You two return! Now Go Salamence! Full power Flamethrower!"

"RAAAAH!" He roared as he fired the flamethrower at Servine.

"Milotic Hydro Pump!"

Out of nowhere a high pressure of water put out the flamethrower.

"What the hell?" Eggman yelled.

"Maurice!" Harlie gasped.

"I knew I heard commotion over here."

"Maurice this fatass has Sonic's Pikachu!"

"I see, Sonic go get Pikachu. Milotic can handle Salamence!"

"Got it!" Sonic nodded as he and Servine raced past the Salamence and he tried to go after them but Milotic blocked the way.

"Salamence! Dragon Claw now!"

"Dodge and use Ice Beam!" Maurice grinned.

Due to quad weakness Salamence was about out of energy.

"Damn! Wha..."

Hey Egghead thanks for my Pikachu!" Sonic taunted letting Pikachu out of the box.

"WHAT? No. Salamence! Flamethrower!"

"Milotic Dragon Tail!"

Milotic slammed her tail into Salamence and he flew into Eggman's Eggmobile and it exploded and he disappeared in the sky.

"Wow Servine you were great!"

Pikachu waved at Servine and Servine picked Pikachu up and hugged him tight and they rubbed their noses together.

"Well that was anti-climactic." Maurice shrugged. "What were y'all doing out here anyway?"

"Practicing dancing," Harlie said.

"Hmm, well you two take care I look forward to seeing you guys dance." He waved as he and his Milotic walked away.

"Whew well guess we should be heading back too." Sonic yawned.

Harlie agreed. "Yeah let's go get some rest."
