Ch. 38- Above Fishman Island

"WHAT DID YA DO THAT FOR?!" Wadatsumi questioned. "THAT REALLY HURT!"
"Take this, you overgrown dumpling!" Sanji shouted. "How dare knock Nami over, you bastard!"
Speaking of Nami, the navigator had a rather electrifying surprise in store for her opponents. Right now, she is creating a long chain of bubbles…with little black clouds inside them.
"Hey! What's this girl doing!?" one of the pirates questioned.
"Don't go near her!" shouted another. "She's been shooting all kinds of things outta that staff of hers!"
"What?! What is she, some kind of weather witch?!"
"That's 'Miss Weather Witch', to you!" Nami said. "Although, to be honest, it's not really magic, but carefully applied science!"
As she said this, the bubbles burst, releasing huge storm clouds!
"Black Ball…RAIUN ROD!"
ZAPPABOOM! Nami swung her Sorcery Clima-Tact around, hitting the New Fishman Pirates and electrocuting them as she did! However, three more pirates lunged at her from behind, brandishing their sabers!
"Die, you little bitch!" they shouted.
WHAK! POW! BAM! Nami pummeled them all with her Haki imbued fists!
"Call me a bitch again, and see what happens!" Nami snapped.
"Yes, ma'am…!" the pirates muttered, painfully.
The charred bodies of the pirates that had been fried staggered towards Ikaros, who bent backwards from the heat.
"YEOW!" he cried. "Stay-ich away-ich! You'll turn me into dried squid!" He then turned and glared at Nami. "Aha! That bitch must be behind this!"
"Ikaros!" Zeo called.
"Mucchi?!"
"That man in the black suit and Straw Hat seemed to panic when she was in trouble, that is until she started turning her fists all black. We can't take chances with her! I'll hold her feet, and when she's trapped, you skewer her!"
"Sounds like a plan to me!"
With that, Zeo turned himself invisible as he dashed toward Nami, who is still busy fighting off her own enemies. Suddenly, the navigator felt something grab around her ankles.
"Huh?!" she questioned as she tried to get her feet free. "H-hey! What's going on?! I can't move!"
"Mucchi!" Ikaros cried as he raised his Dried Squid Spear. "Feel-ich the wrath of my Dried Squid Spear, you little wench! You'll be the party snack, this time!"
"W-wait a minute!" Nami cried. "Why can't I move?! HELP! SOMEBODY!"
"Eh?" Brook muttered. "Is that a cry for help from Miss Nami I hear?! That reminds me!"
Just when it looked Nami was about to be skewered…the skeleton suddenly appeared in between her and Ikaros.
"Pardon me, Miss Nami, but may I have a look at you pant- AGH! UGH!"
SHUNK! WHAM! Ikaros stabbed Brook in the back of his shoulder while Nami socked him in the jaw!
"HELL NO!" Nami shouted. "IF I TOLD YOU ONCE, I TOLD YOU A THOUSAND TIMES! GET A CLUE!"
"Mucchi! Another one of the Straw Hats!" Ikaros said. "No matter! I'll just dry you up-ich into dried squid, too! Do your stuff, Dried Squid Spear!"
The Dried Squid Spear tried to suck up Brook's moisture…but nothing happened!
"What the hell?!" Ikaros questioned. "What's going on-ich?! Why isn't he turning into a shriveled husk!?"
"Ah," Brook said. "Sorry to tell you, but I'm already a shriveled husk."
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHH?!" Ikaros cried in shock. "But…but that CAN'T be-ich! NOBODY'S like that!"
However, Ikaros didn't see the General Franky behind him.
"Isn't there anyone here," Franky began, "who can actually put up a fight?!"
KAPOW! The General Franky slammed its huge fist into Ikaros's jaw!
"GURRSH! OOORRFH!" the Giant Squid Fishman cried before he fell to the ground, much to the shock of the New Fishman Pirates!
"AAAAAAAAH! IKAROS IS DOWN!" they screamed.
"AAAAAAAARRGGHH-ICH!" Ikaros yelled, holding his jaw. "WHO HIT ME?!"
"Oh, I get it," Franky said. "You must be one of the Top Dogs here, huh? Then you'd better have more backbone than the others!"
"Oh, put a squid on it!" Ikaros snapped. "OF COURSE I'VE GOT A BACKBONE!"
Kind of odd, considering he's like a squid, Moon thought. Then again, he's a Fishman, so I guess I shouldn't crack wise.
Meanwhile, the pirates are whispering something to Brook in a fearful manner.
"Oh, dear god! It's standing on him!"
"Hey, buddy! If I were you, I'd make a run for it, right now!"
"What?" Brook asked before he looked down…and saw that he is standing on Zeo's face!
"…Ow…!" Zeo muttered.
"Huh?!" Nami questioned. "There was someone down there, this whole time?!"
"Good heavens! Who are you?!" Brook asked.
"So the reason I couldn't move," Nami noted, "was because this guy grabbed my legs?!"
Zeo grunted a bit in pain before he spoke.
"So tell me," he said, "how do you like this?!"
"Like what?" Brook asked.
"You fool," Zeo said. "I've been headbutting the sole of your foot! You may not feel it now, but the throbbing will certainly come to discomfort after some amount of time! I call it…THE SUPER-SOLE HEADBUTT!"
A slight paused.
"Err…I believe I'm only stepping on your face," Brook said as he stepped away. "Sorry about that, chap."
"YOU IDIOT! DON'T POINT IT OUT!" the pirates cried, frightfully.
Zeo growled before he stood up, holding his chain weapon.
"Let's see you talk smart after you feel the pain in your foot!" he shouted.
Uh…seriously? Moon thought. He won't admit that the skeleton guy just stepped on his face? Talk about keeping up appearances.
Meanwhile, in another part of the plaza, the New Fishman Pirates are falling through the ground!
"AAAAAAAH!"
"DARUMA, STOP!"
"YEAH! QUIT WITH ALL THESE DAMN TUNNELS! THEY KEEP COLLAPSING UNDER OUR FEET!"
Down under the ground, it is revealed that Daruma is still digging tunnels, trying to find Chopper, who is also tunneling through the ground.
"Where is that damn Coral-head?!" Daruma questioned. "KYA-KYA! There's no way you can beat ME underground! I'll chew you up and spit you out!"
Up above the ground, Dosun had just spotted Usopp, who is now on his own.
"That's one of the Straw Hats," he said. "Ha! He's utterly helpless, the fool! KABOOM!"
"Hey, Chopper!" Usopp called. "Where are you?! Get up here!"
"I'm coming, Usopp!" Chopper called back from underground.
However, while Usopp had his back turned, he didn't notice Dosun approaching him, holding his hammer above his head.
"I'll pound you flat-ZUGONG!" Dosun roared.
"I can smell an enemy," Chopper said. "USOPP! GET DOWN!"
"Huh?" Usopp muttered.
"Horn Cannon…ELF!"
KABAM! Chopper leaped out of the ground and slammed his huge antlers into Dosun's face, while Usopp ducked down just in time to avoid the attack!
"Hey, Chopper!" Usopp said. "Did you connect the tunnels like I asked?"
"Yep! I sure did!" Chopper answered.
"Good!" Usopp said before he aimed the Black Kabuto inside the hole where Chopper came out of. "Certain Death, Green Star! SKULL BOMB GRASS!"
PYEW! KABOOOOOM! The sniper fired a Pop Green into the hole, and the resulting explosion formed into a huge red cloud of smoke in the shape of a skull. The force of the explosion was so great, that it sent Daruma flying out of the ground!
"HAHAHAHA!" Usopp laughed triumphantly. "How do you like that?! We've learned how to deal with tunnel-diggers back in Alabasta, two years ago! Experience wins out in the end!"
"So it was YOU!" Daruma barked.
"I'll get you for this, coral creature!" Dosun snapped at Chopper.
"I'll chew that nose right off your face!" Daruma said as he popped an Energy Steroid into his mouth.
"Heh!" Usopp smirked. "Okay, Chopper! You get my back! Uh…Chopper? Hello? You got my back, right?! Chopper?!"
It seemed Chopper was too busy facing off against Dosun to hear Usopp.
"Once you see my strength," Dosun said as he put an Energy Steroid in his mouth as well, "then you will truly know despair-ZABWAM!"
"If it's strength you want," Chopper grinned, "then I've got something for that!"
As this is happening, the New Fishman Pirates stood in shock and disbelief as they watched Zoro and Hyouzou duel. Hyouzou, still drunk, tried to cut Zoro with his many swords, but Zoro kept blocking his strikes every time, and all the while, the swordsman still had that devilish grin on his face!
Meanwhile, Wadatsumi is still dealing with Sanji, Jimbei, and Joe.
"Thousand Brick FIST!" Joe shouted before he punched Wadatsumi's left big toe, causing him to hop and down while holding his foot in pain.
"OWIE!" Wadatsumi cried. "That hurts!"
"Now try this on for size!" Jimbei said before he jumped up near Wadatsumi's face. "Shark Brick FIST!"
BAM! Jimbei sent a powerful shockwave into Wadatsumi's face, sending him crashing into a wall!
"OWIE-OW~!" Wadatsumi cried, holding his jaw. "That hurts even more! How come that hurts so much?! You two are so tiny!"
"Humph," Joe scoffed. "You know what they say: 'big things come in small packages'."
"Indeed," Jimbei agreed. "You shouldn't underestimate your opponent."
The New Fishman Pirates looked on, nervously.
"This is bad! Really, really bad!"
"Yeah, I'll say! If the bosses get beaten, here and now, it'll be the end of us!"
"We gotta get in there and help, quick!"
Meanwhile, up and around the plaza, some of the citizens are tending to their injured neighbors.
"Tend to the wounded!"
"Damn that Hody Jones! How dare he do this!"
"Hey! We got another one, over here!"
"What?! How many are there?!"
During this time, Sharley's injuries had already been tended to, and she is now being surrounded by the worrying children.
"Madam Sharley, are the Princess and the Princes gonna be okay?!" asked one of them.
"What's gonna happen, Madam Sharley?!" asked another. "Is the island really gonna get destroyed?!"
Sharley didn't answer. Instead, she just looked up at the sky, worriedly.

Out in the sea, Shirahoshi, Ryuboshi, and Manboshi are still trying to lead Noah away from Fishman Island while Luffy and Fukaboshi kept trying to get passed Hody, who laughed at their efforts, as well as Luffy's earlier words.
"You'll protect everything, you say?!" Hody asked. "Ha! Very bold words coming from a human like you, Straw Hat, but I'm afraid it's far too late for that!"
"Brother Ryu!" Manboshi panted. "If Decken's been knocked out by Straw Hat's dog, does that mean…!?"
"Yes!" said Ryuboshi. "We're in big trouble here! If Decken's powers run out while the ark is right over the island, then the worst could come about!" He then turned to Shirahoshi. "Shirahoshi! Quickly! Alter the ship's course to the si- AGH!"
Before Ryuboshi could finish his sentence, Hody swam by and cut Ryuboshi in the back with his Shark Slicer!
"Ah-ah-ah!" Hody smirked. "Not so fast, Ryuboshi! Let's not get any funny ideas! I was hoping that Straw Hat's mutt would take Decken out on the spot because I WANT his powers to falter here!"
"Oh, now I get it!" Luffy said. "If it's pointing straight up, the ark's just gonna fall back down onto the island! And just after Wimpy-hoshi tried to draw it away! Hey, Bro-hoshi! I need you to get me to Blizzard, quick!"
"I'm trying," Fukaboshi said as he tried to swim around Hody, who kept blocking his way, "but I cannot get passed Hody!"
"Not so fast, Straw Hat," Hody said. "I need to be certain that you and all your little friends die!"
"Rrrrggh…dammit!" Luffy cursed.
"Look there!" Manboshi cried. "Shirahoshi is swimming away to the side!"
Everyone looked up to see Shirahoshi swimming away to the side.
Follow me, Noah! Shirahoshi thought.
"So, you've sniffed out my plan, eh?" asked Hody before he attempted to go after her.
"Oh, no, you don't! Stay away from Wimpy-hoshi!" Luffy shouted as he stretched his arm out and grabbed Hody's arm…only for his strength to get sapped. "Ah…! No good! I can't get a good grip on him if he's in the water! I can't let him go after Wimpy-hoshi, but I gotta hurry and stop Blizzard, too, before he does something stupid!"
Shirahoshi panted as she kept swimming away.
I'm right here, Noah! she thought.
"Damn you!" Hody cursed as he swatted Luffy's hand away. "Let me go, you insolent human! I can't afford to have the ship falling at the wrong angle! Just give up and DIE already, Decken!"
"Attagirl, Wimpy-hoshi!" Luffy called. "Keep swimming!"
"Keep going, sister!" Fukaboshi shouted. "As long as Decken even has one sliver of consciousness, then the ark won't fall!"
Shirahoshi panted as she kept swimming away, and as she did, Noah began to lean towards the side. It looked like Shirahoshi's strategy was working!
However…the group is about to find out that things are not going to as easily as they hoped.

Inside the Noah, it is revealed that Decken is still very much alive…but it looked like he was barely hanging on.
"Ooooh, damn that wolf…!" he cursed. "He'll pay for this! He forgets that I touched him with my left hand, so that makes him my target!"
As he said this, he heard a familiar growl. He turned around and he saw…Blizzard, now back to normal and snarling viciously at him.
"Oh, so you're back for more, eh little doggy?" asked Decken. "Bahohoho…you're going to regret this."
As he said this, he picked up a large axe.
"It doesn't matter how many times you dodge my attacks," he hissed. "I'll just keep chucking axes and knives at you until you're a canine pincushion, you damn mutt! BAHOHOHOHOHO!"
Blizzard just stood there, still growling at Decken. Then…he calmly closed his eyes.
"What's this?" Decken asked. "Closing your eyes so you don't see your death coming?!"
Blizzard didn't make a sound…outwardly, that is.
This is where it ends, the wolf-dog thought as he slowly opened his eyes. Eye of the Hellhound.
Then, Blizzard opened his eyes quickly, revealing his eyes had gone bloodshot as his pupils expanded into a circle with a slit going vertically down the middle. VWEEM~! As Blizzard opened his eyes, a wave of energy pulsated from his very being, and Decken gasped…before his eyes rolled into their back of his skull and he began to foam at the mouth. Soon…the Bull Shark Fishman dropped to the floor…unconscious.
Blizzard smirked, proud of his victory…but completely unaware of the disaster he had just caused.
Suddenly, Blizzard felt the ship move.
Whoa! he thought. What the hell? What's happening?!

Outside…it is revealed that Noah is slowly beginning to fall…right towards the island.
"Oh, no!" Manboshi cried. "THE ARK IS FALLING!"
"AAAAH!" Luffy gasped, horrified.
"NO! THE ISLAND'S IN DANGER!" Fukaboshi shouted.
"Oh, no…!" Shirahoshi whispered in horror.
Soon, Fukaboshi swam toward the falling arc with Luffy on his back, and the two found Blizzard standing on the deck.
"Blizzard!" Luffy cried.
"Hey, Luffy!" Blizzard said, casually. "What happened to Hody? You take care of him, already? That was quick. Then again, I'm not really surpri-"
"Blizzard, what did you do?!" Luffy questioned, showing an expression of anger and fear.
"What are you so worked up over?" Blizzard asked. "I only did what you said! I fought with Decken and I won! All I did was knock him out!"
"BUT YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO KNOCK HIM OUT!" Luffy shouted. "YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO DO ANYTHING TO HIM!"
"…Come again?" Blizzard asked, now totally confused.
"Blizzard, I've been trying to get to you so that I could stop you!" Luffy said. "I was trying to tell you not to knock that Decken guy, because if you do, THE SHIP WILL FALL RIGHT ON TOP OF THE ISLAND AND KILL EVERYONE!"
Upon hearing this, Blizzard's eyes went wide in horror. He was hoping…no…PRAYING that what Luffy said was just some cruel joke…but when he looked outside and he saw the ark slowly plummeting towards the island below…he soon realized the awful truth.
Blizzard, himself, had just been put not just the whole of Fishman Island in danger…but also the rest of the Straw Hat crew, as well!
Oh…my…god…! the wolf-dog thought. WHAT HAVE I DONE?!
"JAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Hody laughed. "It's all over, now, you fools! I'VE WON~! JAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! JAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA~!"
