Alright! We got them Drrgn Brrrs! Let us see what miraculous adventures await! Onward, my heroes!

A loud latch comes undone, the hinges of the door creaking as the pathway opens. The opening shows only white light not of this dimension. Two figures walk through, going through the halls of the ornate sky palace.

As the two figures exit the palace to the top of the familiar Lookout, there's five individuals ready to greet them. Raditz, Gine, Dende, Mr Popo, and strangely, Vegeta. All five look in shock as Piccolo walks over, his clothes fixed with his own powers. The Namekian smirks down at Mr Popo and Dende. "You might want to get him food-"

Goku's voice booms, training armor shattered all over the place. "AH! Fresh air! Hey, can we get some food?"

Soon enough, the Saiyan is munching away at all of the food before him. Gine is simply staring at her youngest son, Raditz having his mouth open. "Uh... Kakarot?" Raditz asks calmly.

Goku looks at him, his hair spiked up and blonde. His big green eyes are just as innocent as they would be without the coloration. His mouth is full of ramen. "Hrm? Yrf?"

Piccolo sighs as he mothers the moron. "Swallow your food please."

Goku's eyes light up as he slurps the rest into his mouth. "Ah! That hit the spot!" He looks at them. "Did you manage to get Dragon Balls?"

Gine smiles at her boy, holding up the bag. "Right here! It was so much fun! Met a guy who's pretty afraid of you."

Goku brightens up. "Really?! Who's afraid of me?!"

Raditz mutters. "A number of people seeing how you're acting."

Gine keeps up the conversation. "Some guy in a pink tunic and creepy mustache."

"Waaaait... Tao?! How's he been?!" As the conversation goes, Raditz grumbles.

The mother huffs. "Hopefully awful. Tried to attack us!" Raditz looks back at Goku.

"Darn." The son droops. "I'd hoped he'd stopped his tricks by this point. I guess he won't be changing soon." Raditz narrows his eyes at his dumb brother.

"Oh, well he might after the beating I gave him!" Gine brags. Raditz side glances at her.

Goku smiles brightly, sitting cross legged with a hand on each knee, he leans forward. "Tell me about it!" AND he snaps.

"Kakarot!" Raditz yells. "Enough of everything else. How was the chamber? Do you think you're strong enough to beat Cell!"

Goku stares back at him, then shares a glance with Piccolo. "I don't know."

Vegeta growls out. "What do you mean, 'I don't know'?" He snaps.

Piccolo explains. "Goku and I... made a plan. He wants to take his crack at Cell when the time comes, but we aren't sure if it will work."

Raditz and Vegeta visibly calm at that. Raditz sighs. "That helps." He gives Goku an appraisal look. "Second question. Are you... okay?"

"Yeah, fine. Never better!" Goku states with a smile.

"Not more aggressive?" Dende asks.

"I don't consider myself aggressive." Goku answers.

"Why are you Super Saiyan?" Vegeta asks plainly.

"Ohhhh!" He finally gets it! "Well, while training in the chamber, we wanted to maximize our time to train, and I really wanted to push the limits of the form without losing any benefits."

Gine looks like she's in over her head. "Sorry, I don't really get it, but would I be right to assume you would then be able to power up further?"

Vegeta snaps. "Fool. It has nothing to do with powering up! Instead of wasting energy powering up, they can use that energy instead to prolong their stamina, and conserve their energy."

Raditz narrows his eyes at Vegeta. "Kinda makes ya angry you didn't think of it, doesn't it?" Vegeta cuts a look at Raditz. Raditz doesn't look pleased. "Hey, I'm angry at myself too for it." He looks at Goku. "So, you'll be like this until the Cell Games?"

Goku and Piccolo look over in confusion. "Cell... Games?" Piccolo asks.

Gine nods. "Your friend, Bulma! She contacted me through the scouter." She points to the device still on her head. "Said that Cell has issued a challenge to everyone on the planet to a tournament set to take place in ten days!"

"Ten days to prepare, then?" Goku smirks. He looks at Vegeta. "That why you're here? For the chamber?" Vegeta scoffs as he starts walking towards the palace. "It won't help much, but hey, why don't you go with him Raditz? You guys have worked together before!"

Vegeta pauses mid step as Raditz freezes. The two glare back at each other. The locked eyes continues until Vegeta huffs and goes into the palace. Soon enough, they hear the click of the door. Raditz looks back at Goku's confused face. "I don't see that happening soon. Besides, I need to go back to my family."

The two then look at Gine. "Right, um, where would you like to stay?" Raditz asks.

Goku nods. "Right! You could stay with me."

The image of Chichi appears in Gine's head. "What? There is NO fighting! My boy won't be a punk gangster! Gine says with a scowl present. "I... decline. Thank you. I will come over to see Gohan with you though." She adds a little brighter.

Raditz states. "You can head over to my place afterward. I'm sure Raunch will be happy." He smiles as he gives a light wave before he blasts away from the Lookout.

Goku and Gine look at each other with matching smiles. "Alright, let's go!" The mother and son take off from the Lookout, ready to spend some quality time together.

. . .

And so, time goes on with little incident. Vegeta left the chamber with little fuss after his second go of it. Gine began staying with Raditz and Launch, although she's been rather fixated on setting up a home somewhere for when Bardock is brought back.

The Ox King seems happy to help, so long as she finds a good location. The overall feel of the Z fighters to this strange woman's sudden appearance varies. Yamcha just held straight shock, then accepted it as another weird Saiyan thing. Krillin seemed happy for it, having grown to like Bardock and being best friends with Goku, of course he's open to his mother. Tien... one can never read that guy. Chaotzu is polite as always.

Yajirobe and Korin take it as well as any other exploit of Goku's, going through it in stride. Chichi is open to her until the two talk about fighting in any capacity. Launch is perhaps the most open, taking a liking to her in both forms. Gohan, Raditz, and Goku take to her amazingly well, although Raditz is far more interested in keeping her well kept.

As for the Capsule Corp crew, Bulma has since apologized for her feelings about her, and even offered to help with the home situation. Nappa did bring all sorts of Frieza Force property for her and Bardock to scrounge from. 16 has no response, as neither does Piccolo, Dr Briefs, or Mrs. Briefs.

And so, three days have passed. Seven more days are left until the Cell Games. In order to bring the group a little levity for the coming days, Bulma has invited everyone to a picnic.

Goku, Raditz, Gohan, Chichi, Bulma, Dr Briefs, Mrs Briefs, Ox King, Launch, Raunch Krillin, Master Roshi, Yajirobe, Korin, Oolong, and weirdly enough, Piccolo and Vegeta. Not everyone came, of course.

Somehow, party man Yamcha didn't show with Puar, Turtle stayed at Kame House, 16 chose to remain at Capsule Corp, Dende and Popo chose to remain at the Lookout, Tien and Chaotzu are simple no shows, as is typical, and Android 8 has since returned to his village.

Chichi pouts, Gine and the Ox King sitting at the blanket with her. The Ox King smiles at her, concern in his eyes. "Come on, Chi! What's got you down?"

"I just feel like I should have pursued getting Gohan that college deal."

"The boy is only 11, Chichi!" Ox stated in a jovial laugh. However, her stern look made him pause.

"What with all this focus on fighting, I was concerned it would affect him, but since he's returned, he's back at the books more than ever." She sighs in relief. "Oh, gosh, if he came back with that gangster blonde Goku's sporting a lot, I'd definitely be sending the boy to a university program ASAP!" She rants off.

Gine blinks a few times. "I'm... sorry, but what is college? University? Is that a space related project?"

Chichi gasps in excitement. "Oh it can be! Oh, my son becoming an professor in astro physics, OH!"

Ox turns to Gine. "Uh hehe, did you all happen to have any type of schooling on planet Vegeta?"

"There was training with machinery and Frieza Force tech, so that would count as a school, I guess." Gine states, not really enthused with the idea. "Although, excelling in such fields taught would certainly lead to good positions in organization. Though, those with higher powers were much more likely to succeed."

"Gah!" Chichi scoffs, turning her head away. "How any brutes could so brazenly praise muscle over their heads, I don't know."

Gine gave an exasperated look. "I'll let that slide." Then the look turns to a side glare at Chichi. "Like everything else." However, the look softened. "Granted, some idiots were placed in charge when they shouldn't have."

Away from them, Vegeta glared a bit at the female Saiyan. However, the moment was ruined as Bulma walked over. "So, how was the second year in that chamber?"

The prince's scowl remained present. "Beyond what I thought I could achieve."

Bulma smirked at him. "Oh? I hope it was. Heard Raditz is reconsidering going in for a round 2 with it." Vegeta glares at her. She giggles at him. "Kidding. Blonde Launch apparently didn't like his absence the first time, so I'm assuming his time over you was short lived."

"Silence woman!" Vegeta spat as he turned away.

She sighs. "Let me know when the ego is repaired. You had an extra year to do it." Vegeta simply glares as she leaves.

The glare is put off by a loud "I'M OUT!" Over with the food, Krillin and Roshi look in shock at Raditz and Goku. The two brothers sitting on a picnic blanket with 67 empty bowls. Both are breathing heavily.

Goku allowed his hair to drop to his base black, at Chichi's request, for the public gathering. Otherwise, it's been blonde the whole time. He gasps and chuckles. "What... did you get?"

Raditz growls, his stomach bloated. "33."

Goku swings back. "34! I win-" His mouth bloats as he contains himself from vomiting. Raditz snaps his head at his little brother, pointing a hateful finger in disapproval. Goku's face slowly turns purple before he gives, turning around and vomiting into a bush.

Raditz pumps his fist into the air. "Spilled contents! I WIN BY DEFAULT!"

Slightly off to the side, Piccolo and Gohan watch. The Namekian's eyes twitch in disgust. "Saiyans and their eating habits."

Gohan simply sweat drops, but chuckles. "I'd be guilty if I said I didn't want to join."

His master glares down at him. "Then you have far more manners than them for not jumping straight to it." His eyes trail up after the comment, the boy following the gaze.

"Something up?"

"..." The former guardian had his eyes held only up for a long while. "... maybe." At that, Gohan's innocent look dropped slightly, slowly turning to a look of focus on the sky.

"I... feel it. It's weak."

"Compared to us." Piccolo left it.

Vegeta was in the middle of settling next to a tree when he glances up. His face showed no real care, but if something came up for him to punch, he wouldn't care. Krillin is in the middle of laughing at a joke with Roshi before the laughter abruptly stops. Both look up.

Raditz and Goku get up from their eating contest, snapping their attention directly up. Raditz calls out. "Mother, scouter!"

Gine is fake laughing at Chichi before catching her son's statement. She sees all the fighters staring up. A second later. "OH!" She reaches around and finds her Scouter. She look into the sky with her the device active. Readings show up. "The strongest power is 8000!" She gulps. "I know that's nothing to all of you, but some of us still worry about it."

As they all look up, they find a massive black ship entering the atmosphere. It flies overhead as everyone shields themselves from the wind. The winds stop as the structure lands. All the fighters are front and center as the ship opens. A ramp comes down and settles on the ground. From it, a small army of soldiers in purple armor and masks step out.

They've yet to make any type of aggressive moves, Goku looking around with wonder. "Cool armor!"

One random soldier excitedly calls out. "Thanks!" But the soldier shakes and gets back in line.

Vegeta steps out from the trees. "Do you have any idea whose planet you're on?"

One soldier whispers. "It's him! Do the thing!" Piccolo's brow raises in confusion, he being the only one to hear it. Suddenly, all the lines of soldiers call out. "ALL HAIL LORD VEGETA!" as they bow.

Vegeta stares out in... slight confusion. "Well good... glad that's understood."

Raditz frowns. "What the hell is this?"

At that moment, a new voice calls out. "Well, it's an honor to finally meet you... Prince Vegeta." The entire group looks to see a man with a scar over his closed eye, black spiky hair, a mustache, scars, and a rather ornate armor. Ornate in comparison to the usual Frieza Force armor, at least. "Or should I say... King Vegeta."

Vegeta's eyes narrow at him, eyes trailing down to the man's tail wrapped around his waist. "... Who are you?"

"Why... I am Paragus, my liege. I am one of the scarce few to escape the destruction of our precious home world."

Raditz reacts first. "A Saiyan?"

In the background, Oolong yells out. "They're multiplying like crazy!"

. . .

A short while later, Vegeta stands across from Paragus. The soldiers have remained kneeling as Vegeta listened to the older man's tale. "So let me get this straight. You've acquired a whole new planet Vegeta for the Saiyan race, and you've come here to crown me the rightful king?"

Paragus nods. "Yes, my liege. My son and I have amassed a worthy planet for your rule. It would also be a good place to nurture and further your blood line!" He says happily, yet respectfully.

Vegeta gives a side glance to Bulma and baby Trunks. Raditz laughs. "A bit late to that party. A royal heir has already been made."

Paragus' eyes widen. "I-I see! That is fantastic news!" The way he said that... Piccolo narrows his gaze.

"If you and your son have survived this whole time, how come you never came to Vegeta while he was enslaved under Frieza?" The Namekian asks.

Vegeta sends his gaze back at the elder. "Ah, I did what I could, but after such a harrowing event, I could not risk my efforts being in vain by being discovered by Frieza. I have heard of his demise, so that strengthened my will to come here myself." Paragus locks eyes with Vegeta. Well, eye to eyes. "I hope you may forgive such cowardice."

Vegeta's eyes twitch as the old man bows. "Pick your head up, fool. Frieza would have killed you in seconds."

The statement came as a surprise to most, Paragus looking up hopeful. "Ah, so will you come with me, my liege! See your new kingdom-"

"After all." Cell smugly states, Trunks looks at him warily. "None of this would have happened without you." With no more warning, Cell fires a beam out, piercing through Trunks' chest.

"No." Vegeta states plainly, much to everyone's shock.

"B-but, my liege-"

"Something on this planet require my attention." Vegeta tells him with authority. "Until it's been dealt with," Emphasis on the word 'dealt', "I will be here to ensure it gets done."

Goku and Gohan smile at that, along with some others. Paragus seems shocked, fumbling for a statement. "But... I failed to mention that there ARE a few issues with the planet I chose. It is ripe with resources, but the locals are a nuisance. It would really help if you came!" He tries to plead.

Vegeta narrows his gaze. "So, you chose a people you can't even keep in line yourself, and you sought me out to help you?"

Paragus drops to his knees. "My liege, please."

"I'm not your liege, you brown nosing totey." He takes an aggressive stance towards Paragus. "I will deal with the business here. THEN, and only THEN, will I go to whatever dirt ball you've chosen to inspect the future for our race."

Paragus is forced to pause. "Please... my son may perish if we wait that long." He tries one more time. This sentiment... actually makes Vegeta pause. However, his eyes narrow further, now dangerous. "I beg you. At least one day is all I ask." He sees that he'll get to further response. Paragus sighs. "I will go to the planet and retrieve my son if I can. I will update you upon my return." He turns to go back to the ship, but pauses upon seeing Goku. He tilts his head. "Pardon... but would your name be Kakarot?"

Goku smiles. "Yeah, only Vegeta and Raditz call me that, though. Oh, and mom!" He chuckles.

Paragus' mouth twitches into a light smirk. "A pleasure to meet you." He walks away. Soon enough, the troops and Paragus are back in the ship and gone.

Vegeta keeps his gaze on the sky as someone unexpected stands next to him. Gine speaks up. "Vegeta."

"What is it?" He says, impatient. He's not about to be friendly with this woman.

Gine keeps a bit of a hostile air, but sighs. "I say this, not because I like you, but because you're an ally to my sons." The prince scoffs. "I remember Paragus... vaguely, and I think there's some things you may want to know." Vegeta turns from the air to look at her directly. "Like I said, this is more for my sons' benefits moreso than yours, but Paragus was a member of your father's court."

"I was aware." Vegeta states.

"He was well respected by many, and he was loyal to your father-"

"I hope there's a point to this because you seem to be recommending him."

Gine scoffs at him. "He was also to be executed by your father a mere day before Planet Vegeta's destruction."

Vegeta finally looks more considering. "... go on."

"I didn't know him personally, obviously. He was a complete stranger, and I only have word of mouth to go by. However, he was rather boastful about one thing leading up to the end of our race: his son." Vegeta raised a brow. "His son supposedly has a very high battle power. He was ecstatic about it. I remember some telling me about his boasts, that his son would be powerful enough to defeat any threat in the universe, including Frieza."

"..."

"The very next day, he's put to be executed... and any record of his son was erased. People started calling him a liar and a traitor." More silence. "I have no proof for anything, but I'm willing to bet something happened between he and your father." She holds his gaze. "More than likely, it involved his son. Make of that what you will." She turns and walks away.

Vegeta scoffs. "Please, his seed couldn't compare to my own, and my own is a filthy half breed."

Bulma yells out. "Hey!" In echo, baby Trunks excitedly cries out. "Gahhh!"

Vegeta watches as Bulma takes baby Trunks to play with little Raunch. The slightly older female baby with dark blue hair starts excitedly waving at the boy.

Vegeta narrows his gaze. He speaks just loud enough for Gine to hear while she walks away. "I'll take your words into consideration." She pauses for a second before continuing away.

Vegeta looks to the sky. Something wasn't right with this...

GASP! The promise I've been making you guys is coming! WHEN BURRAY!

Powers:

Goku Super Saiyan - ?

Unknown currently.

Vegeta Ascended Super Saiyan - ?

Raditz Ascended Super Saiyan – 900,000,000

Gohan Ascended Super Saiyan – 900,000,000

Piccolo - 600,000,000.

Piccolo entered the chamber in the manga and anime, receiving a sizable boost, but still being weaker than the Saiyans. Since there's no concrete number, the easiest way to estimate Piccolo in canon is twice as strong as before. However, he had Goku this time, so who knows... until next time.

Aarik Wrath – (DBS Broly Spoiler. Skip response if you haven't seen it) Problem with saying that is: 1) It's still shown to harm Broly. 2) They immediately follow up with a Kamehameha to KILL Broly. Mighty odd thing to do when someone shows they have good inside, wouldn't you think? 3) People have already pointed out that inconsistency with the usage of the technique between Fusion Reborn and Broly. The general consensus I've seen is if the person has evil in them, it targets that. If not, it still attacks them with raw energy.

In short, the idea that "Broly survived it because he's good" falls completely apart when they immediately decide to kill him after anyway. He only lived thanks to dragon balls.

Next time: WHEN BROLY!
