A/N: Heheheh, here's the rest of this chapter, enjoy!

"I'm not entirely sure that I'm a fan of how this is going to turn out." Megan mutters quietly as she shakes her head and pulls her girlfriend into her lap. She continues to look on at their parents standing on opposite sides of the volleyball net before she shakes her head once more. "I really don't think that this is gonna well."

"Ditto." Charlie agrees with a head nod of her own. "Do our parents even know how to play volleyball? Maybe you should go show em' how it's done, Megs, since you're all varsity and stuff."

Megan rolls her eyes and chucks a clump of sand at her friend before groaning once more. "To be honest, I've never seen my parents play sports. No, scratch that, I've seen Ma play softball, but that's about it."

"Yeah, but volleyball and softball are different." Sam chimes in inquisitively. "I just wanna see who gets hit in the head first."

"Such violence…" Carly mutters before nuzzling Megan's cheek with her nose. She grins slightly when the blonde captures her lips into a gentle kiss and she eagerly kisses back with emotion.

Charlie simply rolls her eyes and Sam makes silent gagging noises as their friends get deep off into their kiss.

"Ahem…"

Megan's eyes widen briefly as she pulls away from the kiss and finds Carly's mom staring at her over her sunglasses. She smiles nervously and gives an awkward chuckle before barely managing a response. "Um, h-hey Ms. G…" she stammers, smiling weakly.

Carly notices the exchange and rolls her eyes at her mother's scare tactics. "Mom, calm down. I'm sixteen, I'm allowed to make out with my girlfriend if I want to."

"I know, but in front of your mother?" Kim semi groans as she pushes her sunglasses up to the top of her head. "Aren't there other places that you can do that?"

"We could go make out in the car…where we're alone…and no one will see us." Carly suggests with a mischievous raising of her eyebrows.

"Absolutely not an option." Kim exclaims, before leaning back onto her blanket. A chuckle escapes her lips as she takes in her friends about to play a game of volleyball. "This should be interesting."

Meanwhile…

"This should be interesting." Serena chuckles as she, Alex, and Amanda occupy one half of the court with their spouses occupying the other.

"I'll say. I promise you that those three have never played a game of volleyball in their life." Alex adds in with a knowing smirk as she places her hands on her hips. "It'll be so easy to annihilate them. And the fact that they all hate losing makes this even better."

Amanda raises her eyebrows at the taller woman's speech before turning to her. "Did you play volleyball Alex? I mean I know Megan plays and she's pretty good but…"

"Where do you think she got it from?" Alex replies, her smirk widening as she sets her team into position.

"What do you think they're talking about?" Olivia wonders aloud as Casey continues to toss the volleyball up in the air and then proceeds to catch it.

"Probably what they're gonna do when they lose." Abbie responds clapping her hands. "Alright we got this! Let's show Blondie and her crew how to play some volleyball!"

Casey raises her eyebrows with an amused smile at her lips. "Is it bad that I've let you get away with referring to Alex as 'Blondie' for this long?" she asks rhetorically before turning around to serve the volleyball over the net.

Casey takes a deep breath serves the ball over the net, sending it to the other side. The ball sails over to the other side of the sand where Alex immediately sets it and Serena spikes it back into the sand, narrowly hitting Abbie in the process.

"Hey! Fowl!" Abbie shouts, pointing an accusatory finger at her wife after recovering from the brief fear of almost being hit. "That was a fowl!"

"It was not a fowl! You're just being a sore loser." Serena responds with a sneer of her own.

"It was too a fowl!"

"Was not!"

"Was too!"

"Children please!" Kim calls over from her comfortable spot on the sand. "It was not a fowl. Abigail just up your game."

Abbie rolls her eyes before she snatches the ball from Casey who is about to serve. She grumbles under her breath before she tosses the ball in the air to serve it over the net. Unfortunately, it only goes about halfway where it ends up pitifully bouncing against the net and falling to the sand.

"Point for us!" Alex exclaims with a grin of excitement. "It's also our serve now since Abbie can't even get it to go over."

"That about halfway describes our sex life." Serena deadpans, causing four out of five of the other women to burst into hysteric fits of laughter, leaving her blushing spouse glowering at her from across the net. "I mean…No offense, honey, you're great in bed!"

"Ew, can we not?!" Charlie calls over from the sideline, a look of disgust on her face. The very last thing she needs is to hear her parents talk about sex.

Amanda rolls her eyes playfully at her friends before she takes the next serve for her team. The ball sails over the next once again before landing approximately two feet away from Olivia who made absolutely no motion to hit it.

"What the hell Benson!" Casey exclaims throwing her hands up in the air before pointing at the ball. "It was right there! YOU were right there!"

Olivia simply shrugs and folds her arms. "I really didn't care about playing anyway." she responds with another shrug. "I wanted to go to the shooting range."

"How about I shoot you in the-"

"Abbie!" Casey cuts in, glaring hard at the raven haired woman before pointing off to the side. "Fine then. Liv you're out. Sub! Megan come here!"

Serena scowls at this before she places her hands on her hips in an authoritarian like manner. "Wait a second, that's not fair. The young, vibrant, volleyball playing teenager shouldn't be on your team."

"No Rena, let them be." Alex replies with an already triumphant grin. "They're going to need all the help that they can get."

Later

As it turns out, having Megan on their team proved to have little to no success for Casey and Abbie who lost to the Alex, Amanda, and Serena at a miserable 21-4. Those four points being scored by Megan alone at the end when she told the two older women to stand at the back and not to move a muscle. Apparently, one on three had better potential than three on three.

The four families sit huddled and comfortable by their manageable bonfire as they roast marshmallows and continue to laugh over the recollections of the day.

"We really should do something like this more often," Alex suggests as she lightly rocks a slumbering Aubrey in her lap.

"We should." Serena agrees, snuggling further into her pouting wife. She giggles quietly and places a light kiss to the brunette's cheek. "Get over it honey. You lost."

"So sentimental." Olivia chuckles, leaning back on her hands when she looks around and notices the four teens all occupied with their cell phones. "Is that really all you kids do now? Sit somewhere and text your friends?"

"Oh don't worry, we're just texting each other about how lame you guys are." Sam replies with a grin, laughing when her mom lifts her hand and lightly smacks her in the head. "Love you too, Ma."

Ironic to the conversation and almost on cue, Casey's phone begins to ring, blasting the theme from 'Jaws' composed by John Williams. She gives her friends a nervous smile before she stands up and walks a respectable distance away to take the call.

"I say the next time we go to Coney Island." Charlie suggests with a grin. "Rollercoasters are sooooo much fun!"

"Ditto." Megan agrees, lightly combing her fingers through Carly's hair before placing her chin on the brunette's cheek. "Or maybe an amusement park that has a tunnel of love."

"I don't think you're ready for that, sweetheart." Alex offers, barely managing to suppress her laugh. In honesty, it actually warms her heart to see how much her daughter really cares about Carly. They all grow up so fast.

"I know I'm not ready." Kim mumbles, barely loud enough to wear her daughter can hear it.

Carly grin and places a kiss to her mom's cheek. "Don't worry, Momma, it'll be alright." she grins, pulling the older woman into a hug.

A few moments later, Casey wanders back to the group and plots down in her spot with a huff. "So…that was a phone call…from a family member saying that we should meet up and that I should bring my friends….so..." she trails off before taking a much needed deep breath.

"Who wants to go visit my cousin?"

I don't know why, but I can really see Dakota Fanning being a good 'Megan' for this story…Idk why that came to mind, but it is what it is…anyhow, leave your thoughts!
