I'm pregnant.

I'm pregnant.

I'm pregnant.

I'm pregnant.

The words flashed neon across my mind. My breaths came out in shallow breaths. My palms were sweating out buckets. My heart was beating erratically. No, this couldn't be happening.

All the women still sat in their seats, staring at me. My mother Aphrodite was about to break out into a smile. Athena sighed, her sight falling back to the ground. Artemis had her jaw drop to the floor as she stared. Hera blinked repeatedly as she got out of her creepy stance.

"Well, you are the only goddess pregnant this month, Isabella," Hera told me. "Isabella, I—"

Before she could continue, I stood up from my seat and ran out of the throne room. Tears sprang from my eyes and I had to continuously wipe them away from my cheeks.

The men who waited expectedly outside for the women blocked my intended way to the closest bathroom there was. They stood up when they saw me, looking blankly at me. Edward took a step closer to me.

"Bella, what's wrong?" he asked in a gentle voice. "What happened?"

Wanting to be alone, I quickly shook my head, turned on my heel and ran down the other hallway from Edward. I found myself in front of my bedroom doors and I opened it wide, staring at all the fixed furnishings. I entered and closed the doors together tightly. I turned the lock and removed my shoes as I made my way to my bed. I yawned, curling up on my bed and staring at the shades of blue on my walls.

I felt cold fingers sweeping my fringe off my forehead. They traced down my jawline and I heard a sigh.

"I wish you would tell me what has been happening these past few days," Edward whispered. "Why do you keep everything in and not tell me? You're not much of yourself anymore."

I kept my eyes closed as I awoke slowly. Edward sighed again as he stroked my cheek over and over. I finally decided to pretend to stir. I crunched up my face before opening my eyes slowly. I couldn't open it fully though; my eyelids were still heavy.

I yawned, then gave Edward a smile. "Hey," I whispered.

He gave me his dazzling crooked smile. "Hey."

I lifted my head up to look at the main doors. "How did you get in here?"

"Your father gave me the key to your bedroom." he shrugged.

"So did any of the ladies tell you guys what happened?" I asked.

He shook his head. "They've been keeping it away from me and the other gods, but Ares & Hermes are speculating that you are pregnant."

My chest immediately tightened and my hands flew to my stomach as I closed my eyes.

Edward caught the little movements and his eyes widened. "You're really pregnant?"

I winced. "Edward, please."

His hands covered mine as they felt my stomach. He took a deep breath after a few seconds of silence. "I can hear two hearts beating. The stronger, louder one is yours; the faint thumping is... our child's." he whispered. My heart skipped a beat when he said those last two words. He seemed more ready about this than I was.

"I can't afford to have her," I admitted. "I don't know a thing about children and pregnancy and babies—"

"It's a girl?" Edward's eyes brightened up. "How do you know?"

"Hera's the goddess of women and stuff. She knows these things." I said.

He glanced at my stomach and removed his hand to touch my face. "I bet that she'll look exactly like you."

I pictured a two-year-old girl with the same hazel eyes as mine and wavy light brown hair with bangs running across the meadow as Edward chased her through the flowers. Giggling, she held a black handkerchief close to her heart. Edward caught her and threw her in the air, making her squeal. He then blew raspberries on her tummy and she giggled, screaming "Daddy" over and over.

I smiled at that. "How about a little mini-Edward?"

He pretended to ponder over it. "How about next time, since this one is a girl?"

"I don't think she's going to look exactly like me," I told him. "It's either she's going to get your hair color and my waves, my hair color and my waves, your hair color with straight hair or my hair color with straight hair. She might probably have your human eyes or mine."

"Nope, I'd like her to look like you; exactly like you." Edward chuckled.

"I'd like to see her with your hair color and my waves, and your eyes." I said.

"I wonder why I can hear her heartbeat even though it's has only been a week," Edward mused.

"Hera said that she grows fast." I told him.

He shrugged. "Because of me, she grows fast? Makes sense."

My smile faded. "I don't have any knowledge on how to raise a child. When I was with Renee & Charlie, I never had any siblings. How do I do this? I can't do this if I don't even know how to..."

"We'll do this together. Bella, do you know how many degrees I've had over the years? I was a pediatrician before, you know." He smugly smiled at me.

I sat up, laughing. "Okay, Dr. Cullen. Seriously, I think we need advice from people who have raised infants."

"You can always ask me. I've raised one before."

I raised my eyebrows, shocked. "Oh, yeah?"

Edward grinned. "Emmett."

I rolled my eyes. "A big oaf doesn't count. Probably Artemis has done some babysitting before, or even maybe some of the guys as well." All humor disappeared when I thought about everyone. "Where's everyone?"

"Just outside. Your mother hasn't even told your father about what happened." Edward said.

I got out of bed, picking up my black Alexander McQueen ankle-strap open-toed heels and putting them on. I straightened my sleeveless black scoop-neckline Alice+Olivia dress with a loose high-low skirt that ended at my heels before finger-combing my hair.

I took a deep breath before twisting the doorknob open. I pushed the door slightly away from me and it was too quiet outside. I stepped out of the room and Edward followed right behind me, supporting me. Every Olympian was staring at me, waiting for me to say something. The silence was deafening.

"I'm the one pregnant. I'm having a girl." I said.

Ares & Hermes hi-fived each other, screaming "yeah". Hades stared blankly at me before his lips spread into a huge smile. Aphrodite came over to hug Edward. I frowned at her gesture and he shrugged.

"Thank you so much for everything," Aphrodite said to Edward. "Thank you for making my daughter happy."

"You're welcome, my lady." Edward replied.

Aphrodite released him from her embrace and smiled. "Please, call me Aphrodite."

Artemis came over to me and smirked. "Well, you look like hell in all black."

"That is because she is my daughter," Hades said, walking over to me.

I shrugged. "That's true. And dahling, I'm not the only one who looks like hell in black other than Daddy here."

Artemis glanced down at her all black outfit and grinned. "Well, thanks!"

"So, honeymoon over?" Edward stood by my side, folding his arms.

I nodded. "Well, the honeymoon is over, but not the honeymoon period."

"Isabella, I got something from the mail for you." My father cut through our conversation and handed me a manila envelope that looked utterly familiar.

I opened it and found an acceptance letter from Vogue and they wanted me to start tomorrow. My jaw dropped.

"You got it, sweetheart." Hades wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead. "I'm so proud of you."

"Thanks Daddy!" I exclaimed.

Everything was going alright for me with this little new life growing in me and my internship for Vogue starting tomorrow, but I knew that something was going to happen. Soon.
