Seeing Tris lying unconscious in a hospital bed, bruised and battered always makes my blood boil and stomach churn, it doesn't help matters when Nathan is holding her hand staring down at her lovingly. "I growled from my place at the threshold.

"Down boy." Lynn chuckles placing a hand on my arm. I shrug her off and scowl at her. She gives a cheeky grin.

"Nathan if you want to keep that hand I wouldn't keep looking at her like that." Lynn informs.

He smirks. "He won't hurt me."

"I cock an eyebrow "Try me."

"You won't, because then you'll be banned and I'll have her all to myself."

Another growl comes from my chest. Apparently over her time here, Nathan has developed a crush on tris. Well he can look all he wants but she's mine. "She's mine." I snarled walking up to the bed taking her IV hand.

"Geeze what are you two cave men? Pee on her leg why don't ya." Lynn says taking a seat at the end of the bed.

"It's her choice." Nathan says.

"It's not like she'll choose you. You can't even be together, you live here. She lives there." Mason says while chewing his bread.

"We could always be faction less together."

"Tris has to much pride to live faction less by choice." Lynn scoffs. "Besides she's in love with four." I give her a bewildered look, she just winks at me. I can't contain the smile that spreads across my face. Nathan however looks crestfallen.

"I could always transfer to dauntless." "He decides.

"We all burst out in laughter. "You had your chance to transfer two years ago, buddy."He shrugs. "I can convince her to change the rules."

"How?" Mason asks the same time Lynn scoffs "she's a leader of dauntless she doesn't have that kind of power."

"He ignores Lynn's comment and answers mason. "After we have mind blowing sex of course."

The bastard looked smug.

Lynn burst out into a fit of laughter. I however didn't find anything humorous of the situation. I wanted to kill him for even thinking about my Tris that way.

"Tris wouldn't have sex with you. She wouldn't even put out for Eric. She waits for the right person type thing. So unless you're planning on walking down an isle any time soon you can keep dreaming." Lynn informs between giggles.

"Even though she's a leader she doesn't have that type of power. To be honest I don't know if that rule will ever change, but if it ever does mark my words Nathan. You. Will. Never. Be. With. Her. She's. Mine."

Lynn shoots me a disproving look.

"You're so territorial for a girl who ain't even yours." Eric says smirking as he walks towards her bed with a nurse behind him. She checks all her vitals and checks her IV.

"How is she?"

"Same old, same old." She shrugs.

"Put this in her IV." Eric says handing her a vile filled with orange liquid. "Caleb's been working on this for awhile. It makes Miracles happen."

"How does he know it works?"

He shrugs. "A bird hit the glass over at erudite and was on the brink of death. Long story short they injected him with this and it was better in a day."

"What he call it?" Mason asks.

"Miracle serum."

"How creative." Nathan scoffs.

"Well it's not like "peace serum" is so creative." Anna retorts.

"So erudite is not the most creative. Besides isn't art your thing?" E

Eric asks defending his ex faction. "Anyways it won't work as fast on her as it did the bird but she will be up and running in a few days."

The nurse nods and feeds the medicine into the machine, before leaving the room.

"Sky has been released from amity conflict room to erudite." Eric says plopping down in a chair. "Her face is pretty screwed up"

"Why?"

"They need the story for their paper." He says rolling his eyes. "Cody gave a statement and I'm sure Tris will be interrogated too when she returns to the land of the living."

I nod. "Anything else?"

"If that's your subtle way of asking me if she asked about you?"

"Yes." Nathan says.

"Eric rolls his eyes. "Then yes, she did."

"What she have to say?" I asked in a tired voice. To be honest at this point I really didn't care."

"Well she gave me a few messages to pass along in our brief encounter. She told me to apologize to max, she doesn't regret what she did but she's sorry of the outcome." Meaning it was supposed to be Tris who was dead. Mind you she probably wouldn't of let Sebastian get away either.

"Nathan she said sorry she never visited and she was just embracing faction before blood."

Nathan muttered incoherently under his breath, he then glanced at the clock. "Crap. Sorry guys got a shift in the kitchen. You guys staying for dinner?"
"I got a shift tonight so probably not. I'm leaving soon." The others nod in at the offer.

Nathan stands up and bends down to peck Tris on the lips."Wake up soon, beautiful." He then winks at me before leaving the room.

"Kid has guts. Remember when I used to do that four?"

I scowled at him. He chuckles.

"Anyways sky said to tell you that she'll always love you and to give you this." He said handing me a sealed envelope.

"I take the letter from him, tucking it in my pocket. "I'll see you guys tomorrow."

"I bend down to peck Tris on the forehead, before leaving the room. A few people wave at me as they see me walk to the tracks I wave back even greeting a few, before I make my way to the tracks and jump on the train.
