Kevin tried to keep up with the others, but the flames were just so... pretty. The last one in the little running conga line, no one noticed as his feet slowly lost their momentum as the troubled teen came to a halt. He cocked his head to the side as he observed the flickering flames, enticing him further into the collapsing building that was once his home. He raised his hands up in the air, and leapt for joy as he started to sprint toward the flames, dancing as they did.
Then he stopped. That sound, being carried on the heated wind, was so familiar. The boy turned around, back to the fire, a long shadow cast on the ground ahead of him, as the screams were heard once more. They were coming from the... BLU base. Kevin flinched at the darkness ahead, eyes casting back to the brilliant amber glow behind him, a sudden shiver overwhelming him, despite the heat. Gears turned in his spanner filled brain, before he came to a decision. With a gallant leap, he embraced the dark night, refusing to look back as he went on his quest to save his friends.

Felix groaned, everything hurt. He could hear faint voices, but he felt as though he were a million miles away from them. His body seemed to be in a whole different world, a world of pain and suffering, as his other senses began to function once more. He felt a pair of hands around his aching shoulders as his vision returned, and the face of a concerned Bostonian engulfed his view. For a second, he thought that he had simply tripped and fell, but then his short term memory kicked him in the gut as to his situation, and he fumbled to his feet.
"Felix, Felix, calm down. I'm here." Ben's voice was cracked and weak as he grabbed the German's thin wrist, only half stopping his panic. The dark chuckles of some BLU team members caused Felix to look around, and he was surrounded by them as they loomed over both friends.
"You see, Felix, you should have took control when you had the chance." A cold, unemotional voice sounded through the boys. Slithering out front he back of the group was Kristof, an amused grin on his face as he studied the pile of aching bones that was his double. "You could be standing where I am now, Felix. You are like me, superior to these idiots, but you chose to become equal to them. And for that you must be punished."
Kristoff's eyes glinted with joy as a boot made contact with Felix's soft stomach, causing him to gasp desperately for air. Without being given time to recover, a fist flew at his delicate cheek, another at his shoulder. Felix's vision began to swim as another blow to his head was dealt, before he was dragged away from a screaming Ben, who was being given the same treatment.
"Let him go, ya assholes - aagh!" The Bostonian yelled as he was dealt with a blow to the side. Felix's wrists were roughly grabbed and held behind his back, as he was forced to kneel opposite his American friend, the twisted, sadistic laughs of Kristoff echoing throughout the courtyard, torturing the other German's mind.
"This is what happens when you interfere with me!" The BLU Medic laughed as Ben's opposite yanked his hair back, forcing his bruised head up.
"This is what happens when you come to my school!" Kristoff's hand went into his pocket, and Felix felt his heart stop.
"This is what happens to your friends when you don't try!"
Ben's screams suddenly stopped as a band resonated within Felix's ears. He tried to pretend it was a dream, that is was all just make believe, that maybe Kristoff wouldn't go that far, but no. The Bostonian's faded eyes stared back at him, devoid of life, as his limp body fell unceremoniously to the hard ground. Everything around Felix paused for a second as a shiver went up his spine, a final look of forgiveness and shock plastered on his still face. Kristoff appeared to be laughing, but Felix could not hear him. He didn't want to. His friend, his dear Ben, lay in the dust because of him. Slowly, the tears came, followed by the wail of despair and hopelessness. He tried to struggle, but whoever had him kept a tight grip, rooting him to the spot. He felt chips and cracks all over him, as though he was a mere porcelain doll who's head was about to be shattered in as Kristoff turned the gun toward him.
Orange exploded in the midst of the group as the molotov made a perfect landing. The blue clad German whipped around as they saw the RED Pyro skip merrily along to them, shotgun in hand. Without hesitation, he pumped lead into the BLU Demoman, who release Felix and fell over, clutching his bleeding torso. Those on BLU who weren't already engulfed in flames froze in place, their fight or flight malfunctioning as they were farmed by Kevin, who giggled at the bodies dancing in the fire. Kristoff did not anticipate the punch from Felix, neither did he predict the snatch of his gun as his unstable other fired into his chest. Chocking on both the blood filling his lungs and the smoke in the air, the teen collapsed backward, dead before he hit the ground.
"K-Kevin?" Felix said, flinching as the flame suit clad teen stopped in front of him, nodding. Felix didn't know if Kevin was looking at him or the fire as he latched onto him, tears streaming down his cheeks as he screamed his best friends name over and over again.. The screams of the BLUs being burnt alive continued to echo around the building, carried by the black smoke upwards, long after the team had perished. Felix wept and wept, grasping Kevin's suit until his knuckles turned white, before the arsonist's hand reached toward his gas mask. His finger pressed a button at the bottom, and his breathing seemed to become more defined.
"Felix, nothing can change what Kristoff did. Ben is gone, he has perished like this building, like our school. You can't change his fate, but you can change yours. Are you going to be strong? For Ben? Or are you going to cover away? Do what I do, embrace the thing in your mind, give in to your insanity. I know all too well about madness, but I know that there are perks to it. Your enemies will fear you, you can crush them at their weakest. You can kill Kristoff for good, get the revenge you need. You deserve it after all that has been done to you."
