Disclaimer: I do not own, or claim to own, warrior cats.

The Darkness Inside Me: Agreed! But cats may find it hard to use shotguns…. Never mind.

Leaffrost101: Frostpaw has contacts in the dark forest. Who knows what secrets they have told her?

WyldClaw: You'll have to find out!

MyBrokenHeart123: I think that was definitely a 'What!' moment!

Shadowfur1017: okay! Who knows what she'll do next?!

Dovesong: thanks!

ClaraBear: thanks for the suggestion!

Burrfrost: sorry, but I already have Frostpaws name… thanks anyway though!

8Hollysplash8: sorry! I felt really bad about killing Brackenfur! (I'm not to bothered about Berrynose, mind!)

OceanBlueSeaEyes: I'm okay with caps! I also hope that Frostpaw will be killed in a very painful, imaginative way (not going to give anything away though!)

Omg: Okayy. I see you really hate her!

Copperflight: thanks!

Cocodog101: thankyou!

Sandstorm: thanks!

"Pigeonwing! Frostclaw! Pigeonwing! Frostclaw!" The clan's jubilant cries rang out into the cold frosty air, and Hollystorm looked in sheer pride at her former apprentice, who sat at the base of the highledge, eyes gleaming as he heard his new name being cried out for the forest to hear. The newly named Frostclaw also sat next to him, and Hollystorm shivered at the sight of her cool blue eyes, which seemed devoid of any emotion. The murderous young cat had been a dangerous force as an apprentice, and Hollystorm shuddered to think of what she would do now that she was a warrior.

If only I could tell Bramblestar! She exclaimed to herself in frustration, but she forced the anger down and padded over to Pigeonwing, a purr rising in her throat.

"I told you that you'd do it!" she meowed good-humouredly, flicking the grey tom with her tail. The new warrior purred back, and closed his eyes wistfully, a sudden look of sadness passing over his face.

"Twigpaw should have been here…" he sighed, casting a glance at the ground. A wave of sympathy rose through Hollystorm, and she pressed closer to the tom, whispering softly to him,

"I'm sure he's watching you in Starclan right now…" Pigeonwing purred in gratitude, then butted his former mentor playfully with his head.

"Come on. I'll need to get some sleep before my vigil." With that, he whisked his tail side to side in farewell and bounded towards the warriors den, earning an annoyed glance from Poppyfrost. The queen had become easily irritated and snappy since the death of her mate, and most of the clan were worried about the state she was in, despite Jayfeather and Deeppool assuring them that it was only the side effects of grief. A small shiver of joy passed through Hollystorm as Deeppool's name passed her mind. The two cats had become even closer since the death of Brackenfur and Berrynose, and left camp to enjoy time together almost every other night. A longing sigh escaped the she-cat, and she heaved herself to her paws, shaking out her fur and making a course to Bramblestar's den. The gathering was that night, and she wanted to make sure that she went to the meeting. Suddenly, Hollystorm bumped into something small, and let out a squeal as she crashed to the ground. She looked up, a sharp retort forming in her mind, but held it back as she saw Snow- now Snowpaw- sprawled on the ground, fur coated in dust.

"Sorry!" she apologised hastily scrambling to her paws, licking the white patch of fur on her chest embarrassedly. Hollystorm laughed, and also pulled herself to her paws.

"It's okay. I wasn't looking where I was going." Snowpaw nodded in understanding.

"I was just going to ask Bramblestar if I could go to the gathering on the island tonight." Hollystorm grinned at that statement.

"Same here!" Snowpaw bounced excitedly on her paws, then darted off towards the leaders den, her small, lithe frame giving her surprising manoeuvrability.

"I bet I'll get there before you!" Hollystorm rolled her eyes, laughed, and gave chase.

Racing through the forest, Hollystorm never felt more alive. The moon edged every leaf in silver and cast dim, smoky shadows on the ground, whilst the cold, refreshing air seemed to cleanse the warrior's lungs, breathing new life into her body and providing her with enough willpower to run for hours. The journey to the island seemed to flash by as a series of swift, fleeting memories, the flicker of pelt over the moors, the lapping of the river reflecting the stars, the rush of the air shivering through her pelt, the feeling of her paws skimming the ground so lightly that she felt that if she ran faster, she would fly. Bursting into the clearing on the island, the other three clans were already waiting impatiently, so Bramblestar made no haste in scrambling to his perch on the leaders-tree and calling the crowd to silence. The last murmurs of conversation seemed to trail away as the tabby leader's strong, powerful voice rang out over the clearing. Mistystar nodded her head in gratitude, and opened her mouth to speak, however Rowanstar spoke before her, earning outraged yowls from the Riverclan cats.

"Stop!" called out the russet tom, scraping his gaze over the clans.

"This is urgent!" small whispers of curiosity were passed throughout the cats.

"Littlecloud is dead, and Shadowclan have no cats willing to take the position of medicine cat! We will all die if we have no medicine cat to care for the sick, so that is why I am appealing to you all! All of the other clans have two cats capable of caring for the ill, so, I am asking that you send a cat forwards to live and work as medicine cat in Shadowclan temporarily, until we find a cat willing to take over the role!" shocked exclamations rippled through the gathering, and the medicine cats at the base of the tree seemed deep in conversation, obviously debating who would take up Rowanstar's offer. Suddenly, a loud, clear voice spoke up above the crowd.

"I'll do it." Hollystorm looked around in surprise to see Snowpaw, a look of defiance in her gaze, standing on a low tree branch at the back of the clearing.

"Who are you?!" demanded Rowanstar, a look of contempt on his face.

"My name is Snowpaw. I was rouge, but Jayfeather trained me in the ways of a medicine cat. I joined Thunderclan, but was unable to take up the role of medicine cat apprentice as I wanted to. I would be happy to join Shadowclan permanently, and take over Littlecloud's role." The Shadowclan leader looked deep in thought, before he nodded acceptingly.

"Snowpaw, I accept your offer. You will leave the gathering tonight as a Shadowclan cat. You have until then to say goodbye to your clanmates."

A/N: I'm sorry for not updating! I kind of had writers block for this story, but I'm back now! Also I've decided that, on Valentine 's Day, I'm going to post a cute scene where Pigeonwing finally admits his love for Featherleap! Thanks to everyone who has favourited, followed and reviewed so far! It really means a lot! Review!
