"Well you two look ready for a long trip, good because I don't have any idea how long this will take." Jiraiya said as Naruto and Hinata walked up to him.

"Isn't that the reason you wanted us to come with you, so it would be easier to find this person?" Naruto asked.

"That's true, but I doubt it will be easy even with twenty Hyuga's." Jiraiya said. "Besides I have another reason to have you guys coming along."

"Naruto, Lord Jiraiya wants to teach us new techniques." Hinata said. "Isn't that what you told me?"

"You're right, I have something in mind for both of you." Jiraiya said with a grin. "These aren't going to be easy jutsus for you to learn."

"Don't worry, we'll pick up whatever you teach us in no time." Naruto said confidently. "Let's get going."

"Well if you're ready, it's time to get going." Jiraiya said calmly.

"Kakashi, did you hear?" Guy asked. "The advisors are putting a temporary hokage in power until Lord Jiraiya gets back."

"I can understand that, so who did they pick?" Kakashi asked calmly.

"I'm not sure, apparently the jonin are to meet outside the hokage mansion immediately." Guy said.

"Right, did you tell Asuma, Kurenai, and Zabuza?" Kakashi asked.

"Yeah, you're the last one I told." Guy said. "Hopefully they picked a shinobi who can hold everyone together until Lord Jiraiya returns."

"Well we should get going?" Kakashi asked calmly.

"Right, the others should be getting there around now." Guy said before the two of them teleported away.

"Kakashi Hatake, Might Guy." said the man with glasses. "You two are finally here, so now we can address the matter of who would best serve as hokage until lord Jiraiya returns."

"Right, I take it you already have someone in mind?" Kakashi asked.

"We do indeed, until further notice I shall be the acting hokage." said a man from the shadows.

"Danzo, you must be pleased that you're finally hokage." Kakashi said calmly.

"That's not all, I'm declaring an immediate attack on the hidden sand village." Danzo said coldly. "If they choose to work with Orochimaru as they did, then they are an enemy of the leaf."

"Hold on, there has to some other option." Asuma said. "Why risk another war, they never change anything and it only leads to countless deaths that could have been avoided."

"Asuma has a point, and I doubt it's what Hiruzen would have wanted." said the man with glasses. "We won't be going to war."

"Alright, but that doesn't change the fact that the sand village attacked us." Danzo said. "At the very least we will increase our security measures."

"What the, we're going on this trip so you can find some lady?" Naruto asked.

"It's not just some lady Naruto, we're looking for my old teammate Tsunade." Jiraiya said. "She's an incredibly skilled medical ninja, and she's the person who's going to take the title of fifth hokage."

"Wait, lady Tsunade, she's an incredible kunoichi." Hinata said. "Do you know where to find her?"

"Well not exactly, but I have a few ideas of where she could be." Jiraiya said. "Although, there's a benefit of a longer trip. Remember I have something special to teach both of you."

"Oh yeah, that's right." Naruto said eagerly. "What kind of jutsu are you talking about?"

"Well, why don't I show you right now Naruto." Jiraiya said while gathering chakra in his hand in the shape of a sphere. "This is going to be one of your new favorite jutsus, the Rasengan."

The moment he said that, Jiraiya slammed the sphere of chakra into a boulder, destroying it completely.

"Amazing, and you're going to teach me that jutsu?" Naruto asked.

"That's the plan, it's a three step process, so first off you need to pop this using your chakra alone." Jiraiya said tossing a water balloon to Naruto.

"Right, I'll get this in no time." Naruto said confidently.

"Oh, and Hinata I have something interesting for you." Jiraiya said calmly. "It's not one of my techniques, but I understand it well enough to get you started."

"Thank you." Hinata said politely. "Oh, is it one of her techniques?"

"It is, it's a technique that should perfectly compliment your natural chakra control." Jiraiya said. "Essentially you turn your chakra into electricity and scramble your opponent's nervous system, and I'll tell you from experience it can take some time to wear off."

"Wait, but wouldn't I need a lightning nature to do that?" Hinata asked. "I have a water nature."

"That isn't a problem, it might make manipulating electricity slightly tougher, but Tsunade doesn't have a lightning nature either, hers is earth." Jiraiya said.

"Come on you stupid balloon, pop already." Naruto said angrily.

"Keep at it Naruto, I'm sure you'll get it by the time we find Tsunade." Jiraiya said. "You don't learn awesome jutsu overnight."

"I guess, well in that case I'll just have to show this jutsu to Tsunade when we find her." Naruto said with a smirk.

"Alright well I should probably warn you, the man who invented this jutsu took three years to create it." Jiraiya said.

"Wait, so who invented the Rasengan?" Hinata asked.

"Oh nobody you would know, just the fourth hokage." Jiraiya said with a grin.

"The fourth hokage's jutsu, in that case I'll definitely master it." Naruto said.

"We'll see Naruto, anyway that town up ahead is our first stop." Jiraiya said calmly. "I have a few places to check, so for the time being we should ask around."

"Ok, where should we meet up after Lord Jiraiya?" Hinata asked.

"That hotel over there, the one with the green sign. It's in the middle of town so we should be able to meet up without any trouble." Jiraiya said. "Well let's go."

"Itachi, who's the kid?" asked a shadowy figure.

"Our new member, Kisame was killed by the hidden leaf." Itachi said calmly.

"That's disappointing, although I trust you'll be able to handle the explanations?" said another shadowy figure.

"Of course, we have time." Itachi said. "After all her target is eight."
