"Welcome." A voice announced over the speaker behind them as they made their way to the first event of the weekend. Of the dreaded meet and greet the first event of the convention.
Caroline let out a small breath as she took it all in, this is where she usually does most of her work during this trip.
" Nervous?" Stefan asked with a chuckle.
"Not at all." Smiling over towards him, "This is my element."Giving the room a sweep over as she turns to look at him. " You do know my dad did not just hire me because I'm his daughter."
"I was not implying he did. "
"I'm joking Stefan," Caroline said giving him a small nudge.
"Am I interrupting ?" Klaus asked as he joins the group.
"Not at all. I'm just messing with Stefan."
"More like making me sweat. " Stefan joked "Where's Bill? Am I going to be your buffer all week? I think we need to come up with a secret code for name." He said all excited.
"How about you get us a drink mate," Klaus told him as Caroline let out a laugh.
"Fine, I can tell when I'm not needed."
"Now don't you go too far, Rebekah asked me to keep an on you," Caroline told him as Stefan shook his head.
"Thanks for the reminder Caroline." Pulling out his phone as both Caroline and Klaus rolled their eyes knowing who he was calling.
Rebekah at the last minute could not join them on the trip, not because of Klaus demanding she stay or Kol Constance annoyed but because she had a big meeting with investors.
"He so whipped."
"And you're not." Caroline raised an eyebrow at him.
"Where's your dad. "Klaus changed the subject.
"Dinner with an old friend who's in Town," She told him as she ran a hand through her blond hair.
"Perfect," Klaus said as he leaned into her and placed taking Caroline by surprise, but that quickly faded as she melted into his arms.
"I have been waiting all day to do that. I'm still upset they couldn't move my room closer to yours. First, my seat and now the hotel room. "Klaus said as he plucked to drinks of champagne from a waiter.
"Will just have to be creative. "Caroline said as she took a sip of her drink not breaking eye contact with Klaus.
"Caroline Forbes is that you?" A voice asked as they both turned towards the sound.
"Jenna," Caroline said embracing the women in a tight hug.
"I can't believe yours here. I heard you work for Forbes INC. "
"I am." Caroline smiled at her friend.
"Well lucky them. You know I would offer you double what they are paying you right?" Jenna teased
"I know."
"Well, who's your friend?" Turning to look at Klaus.
"This is Klaus Mikaelson," Caroline informed her.
"Ah!"' Was all Jenna said as she looked him over with a small smirk quickly appear on her face.
"Here you go." A man said to Jenna as he hands her a drink
"Oh, thank you, Silas, this is Carolina and Klaus from Forbes Inc. This Is Silas president an owner of Cure."
"The investment company," Silas asked right away.
"Yes," Caroline replied as Klaus nodded his head.
"You're getting into the real-estate business. Well that the rumor I heard." He said with a small smile playing on his face.
"Yes, our company is expanding." Klaus simply answered.
"I'm very excited to hear Bill's speech tomorrow," Silas told them as he took a drink from his campaign.
"we should set up a meeting. I'm truly interested "Silas told them.
"That's great; I'm sure Jenna and I can come up with a day that works for everyone."
"Perfect hopefully will see you around before the presentation," Silas said before as he excuses himself.
"Well," Klaus said.
"I know he's a lot to take on, but when he's excited about something. There's no stopping him and that a good thing for your company." Jenna said as she gave Klaus a flirty smile "Well I'll see you two around." walking away from the pair. As Klaus let out a cough, "That was interesting." he told Caroline as she rolled her eyes "That was amazing. Silas is someone we would need for our future projects as a company he has money to spend and likes to spend it. "
" well, then sweetheart that's better than amazing. Look at you, you already possibly have a new client and we only been here for 35 minutes. "
Caroline smiled proudly. "Well then if you ask me, my job is done for the day." winking at him as she turned around and started walking away from him.
Looking over her shoulder as she asked, "Are you coming?" Klaus did not need to be asked twice.
"Well, that went amazing. " Bill said as he took the microphone off handing it off.
"Mom would be proud. "Caroline teased as her dad let out a laugh, "You know it." winking at his daughter.
Caroline couldn't help but roll her eyes, "Well now that my job finished for the day. I think I'm going to hit the shops."
"What you don't want to keep an eye on Klaus and me as we head into the lion den." Her father asked.
"I think you and Klaus got this." pointing to her head towards the room filled with potential new clients.
When the convention had asked her father to speak, Caroline knew it would be a good promotion for their new project. So she imposes that they have a cocktail hour after the speech.
Lucky for Caroline she would not be needed there. She had done a lot of work the night before and had planned to skip this event and do some damage to her card.
"Got what?"Klaus asked as he swiped away the imaginary lint on his suit, Caroline squinted her eyes at him know he was showing off his new suit.
"Drinks and mingling." She smiled at him, "This woman is going on a long shopping fun you too!" Caroline told them.
"Oh! but I have something to discuss with you," Klaus said as Caroline raised an eyebrow at his statement.
"Well, I'll leave you two there's a drink calling my name." Bill laughed as he patted Klaus on the back.
"So ?"Caroline said placing a piece of hair behind her ear.
" now sweetheart did you have to leave last night? "
"Klaus we already talked about this." let out a frustrated sigh.
"Then move into my room."He told here
"Are we discussing this here."
"Caroline."
"Why don't you move into mine," She told him."Plus we both know my dad would look for me in my room. It would be stupid if I'm not there. I'm cool with my father finding out but not with him knowing about my sex life."
Klaus shone his head "Hell your right."
"Always," Smirking at him "Now I got to go a beignet is calling my name." Waving at him as she walked away Klaus could help but let out a small chuckle.
"Here they are." Bill came up upon them bring along Jenna and sail
"Boys, " He said with a smile
"I was speaking with Silas and Jenna. They truly are interested in our new venture."
"Well Klaus her we talked yesterday, but Stefan is very nice to meet you," Silas said as he looked him over.
"Likewise." With a simple noded in his head
"Now Klaus wheres that lovely girlfriend of yours." Silas said taking a drink "Caroline correct?" Asking Jenna who nodded at her boss.
"Excuse me?" Bill said. "No, she's not Klaus girlfriend she is my daughter."
"Yes, Caroline is my co-worker."
"Sorry for the miss understanding you two just had this " looking for the right word "connection." Wiggling his eyebrow as he let out a laugh. Klaus could see Bill tensing up.
"Anyway. About this merger, you guys are making towards flipping properties. I know it's not easy, but I want to know more about how your acquiring hotels. " Silas asked.
"Well how about while you speak business I got this lovely woman a drink. Putting on the charm on Jena who let out a small blush "I could use a drink. " Giving him a flirty smile.
Caroline couldn't help but let out a sigh as she slipped off her heels
You gave me a scare, spotting Klaus sitting on the corner of her hotel bed.
"What are you doing in here? "As she placed the rest of her bags down. "Do I even want to know what you did to get a key."
"I bribed the bellhop to give me a key, told him I lost my room key and the Mrs would not be happy. " As he popped a piece of chocolate in his mouth.
"Hey that's mine." she rushed towards him too late "Realy Klaus." As he reached for Caroline and trapped her between his leg.
"Was that the last one?" she asked him looking over to check both pillows. "You ate all my chocolate." Crossing her arms.
"Now I never do that sweetheart handing her a piece of chocolate." As Caroline smiled taking it from him and poping in her mouth.
"Your so lucky you save me one. I was about to send you back out there to get me more." She told him as she wrapped her arms around his neck leaning down to place a kiss on his lips.
" If I knew you are this happy for chocolate I would have asked the hotel for more," Klaus said in between kisses as he pulled both of them back down on the bed Caroline on top as she placed kisses own his neck. "I think we should attend the Conventions Dinner together," Klaus said as Caroline stopped pulling away from his necks.
"Are you serious?" She said looking down at him.
"Yes."He told her as he rand his hand through her blond curls. As she stared straight down at him,"The convention dinner where everyone is going to be." A smile spreading across her face,"The one where my father will be?" she reminded him just in case he might have forgotten
"I think its time we start telling your father." He told her as he sweeps a piece of her hair behind her ear. Caroline bit her lip as she tried to hold his smile, "We do need to start dropping hints." She smiled as she leaned back down and placed a kiss on his lips.
"So I take that as a yes." He asked.
"Yes." She told him with a smile as she started opening his shirt buttons with a smirk on her face.
"Now enough Taking more kissing," Caroline demanded.
