"He did what?" Lemon asked, turning a few heads at the Butter Stick, with the news of what happened, it was best to stay clear of the Rammer Jammer until they had a solid plan on what they were going to do. "AB is okay, right? We shouldn't have let her go off alone. We should have drug her behind us," Lemon stated, slapping the table. She was more pissed at herself than anyone else. She saw the state her friend was in and instead of chasing after her, she let her go.

"It's too late for what we should or shouldn't have done. It's already happened. She's shaken up about it all, but I really don't know how she is feeling. It's gotta be tough on her though. She had yet to tell her parents about it, when I was there this morning," Zoe sighed, picking at her scone. "How do we tell the guys? Do we tell them? They're just going to go off and get themselves into trouble. Would it be breaking AB's trust, if we told them?" Zoe asked. Every single question that had ran through her head, she put it out on the table. She was going to be leaving at the end of the week, she wouldn't be here to keep Wade from getting into trouble.

"But can we keep something like this from them? She is their friend as well," Lemon countered. Zoe shook her head there was no way she could keep this from Wade, not when he knew she was keeping something from him.

"I'll tell Wade when he gets off of work, in the next hour." She knew it would be easier if she told Wade alone and not with Lemon or George around.

With their plan of action they headed off ready to break the devastating news. Zoe sat in the back of the Rammer Jammer watching Wade work. Most the times when she did this she had a smile on her face, but today she had her nerves floating around inside of her like tiny balloons.

"I get off in about twenty minutes," Wade informed her, dropping a plate of chili fries in front of her, making her jump. "Why so jumpy?" He asked.

"No reason," she quickly replied back. "We need to talk after you get off work, in private. It's important," she told him.

"You're not breaking up with me are you?" He asked in a joking tone. The seriousness about the question, staying hid.

"Never," she told him shaking her head. "It's about AB." His features had hardened.

"What did the sicko do?" He asked through clenched teeth.

"I can't tell you now, Wade. Please after your shift," she begged looking up at him, silently asking him to drop the subject until they were alone.

"Okay," he agreed, getting back to work.

Her eyes followed Wade around. Her mind trying to comprehend what AB was going through. She couldn't because Wade was nothing like that. He had never forced her into doing anything she didn't want to do. How could someone be so heartless?

"Wally's letting me go early." Zoe nodded, looking down to eat a fry, shocked that they were gone. Had she really eaten them without ever realizing it? She shrugged, taking Wade's hand, needing to feel the warmth he gave her rush through her veins.

They said nothing on the walk to privacy. Zoe wasn't sure where Wade was taking her. This wasn't the direction of their homes or the treehouse, even.

"Where are you taking me?" She asked, on the edge. Wade was nothing like Travis, she knew that but in the back of her mind she couldn't help but feel a little on edge about everything.

"You'll see," he started to say, feeling his girlfriend tense up. "It's just this little place, Zoe. You'll love it. I found it few summers ago," he clarified.

"Oh, okay," she told him, feeling just a tad silly, for the way she was acting.

"You okay?" He asked, coming to the little pond that was enclosed by trees.

"It's beautiful here," she commented, sitting in the grass. "Personally, I'm okay, but no, I'm not okay," she explained hoping that he understood. Just thinking about what had happened to her friend made her shiver.

"Travis, he, uh," she was having trouble saying what had happened.

"He what, Zo?" Wade asked, sitting down next to her.

"He took advantage of her last night," she had finally managed to tell him. He was ready to bolt, his blood pumping for a fight. Zoe took his hand in a death grip. "Don't do it," she begged, pleading with him. His anger subsiding seeing the sheer panic in her eyes.

"You know I would never do that to you, right?" He asked, his anger slowly sneaking back in at the very thought.

"Yes, I know you wouldn't do anything like that. With it happening to Annabeth, I can't help but think about it and wonder how many others there are." That only gave him more reason to beat the bloody pulp out of Travis for what he had done. "Please, Wade, don't do anything stupid. Just let it be for now, please," she begged him nearly on the verge of tears. Cupping her face, he nodded, swiping the tears away.

"Okay," he told her, pulling her body into his. This was what she needed right now. She didn't need a pissed off boyfriend on lockdown because he sought revenge for Annabeth. He'd deal with Travis later, when he didn't have an upset girlfriend in his arms.

Over the following week it took Wade everything in him not to pummel Travis to the ground. But the authority had stepped in and Wade wanted nothing to do with that so he focused on work and spending time with Zoe when Harley would let her out of his sight after the incident with Annabeth.

"So, uh, until you come back?" Wade asked, stuffing his hands into his pants pockets. He suddenly felt awkward waiting for Zoe's flight to be called.

"Uh, yeah," she giggled. "You okay, Wade?" She asked, looking to see what her dad was doing.

"I guess," he shrugged, his eyes darting around the airport.

"I'm only going to be gone for two and half months. It's not like we're breaking up or anything. I'm not moving half way around the world either. We can talk on the phone, email and even write letters like old times. Though that takes a while so either call or email," she smirked, handing a letter over. "Just reply back to this in an email," she told him. He took the letter, kissing her with a smile on his face. "Bye, Dad," she told him with a hug.

"Call me when you get settled in." Zoe nodded. "Bye, sweetie," he told her with a kiss to her head.

"Bye, Zo," Wade told her with one more hug.

"Bye, Wade," she told him softly.

"You ready? The plane isn't going to come back." Wade nodded tearing his gaze from the spot Zoe disappeared through about 20 minutes before hand.

In the car he fumbled with Zoe's letter. Far enough away from the airport and still distance before home, he slowly opened the letter.

Wade,
Cheer up. It's not the end of the world. I'll be home before you know it. I enjoy the time I spend with you, but the next two and half months apart will bring us closer. You'll finally have time for band practice with Meatball again. Besides with all the work you have lined up this summer for your dream car on your 16th birthday, when were we going to have time to really go out? This works for us, this summer. Next summer things might work out for us differently, but we'll worry about that in exactly one year. I'm going to miss you like crazy, don't think for a second I won't. This isn't bye, I'll literally be home with plenty of the summer left.

Please do me one favor, stay out of trouble! Please!
Take care,
Zoe
