Bella was up in the tower but was on alert. She tried to tell herself that Rodolphus could handle himself. Her husband was the only one who mattered. Once her so called family paid, they would take their money, and head abroad. They would find a life and power in some other country. But neither of them could leave before they had revenge. Well her husband had suggested they could, but it had been a moment of weakness for him. Bella would never be happy if they left before she had her revenge and he wanted her to be happy. He was the only one in her life who ever wanted her to be happy. The only good thing her grandfather did in his worthless life, was force her to marry Rodolphus.
She looked at the boy and wondered what to do with him. He was a Black, but barely even worth the name. If he did not have the bad luck to befriend her sister's little brat, he would have been in his shop right now. Now that dear grandpa was dead, her bitch sister was next.
Bella smiled when she heard. "Ah, they come."
Fred looked. "Who?'
She turned to him. "No need to concern yourself pet."
Fred spat. "I am no pet."
Bella knelt. "Maybe we keep you around….."
Fred pulled back. "Don't touch me."
She grabbed him. "Oh you will be fun to break."
He spat in her face. "Never."
She struck him. "For that, I will let my husband have the first ride."
Fred struggled against the chains. "Just kill me."
Bella shook her head. "Oh no, there would be no fun in that."
A voice rang through the room. "Get your disgusting hands off my son."
Fred was shocked. "Mum?"
Bella turned in shock to see who had come into the room. She had not thought anyone would get past her husband and into here. And the wards she had erected were strong as well. Rodolphus may not be the most powerful, but they would want Fred back, and would be careful. She was expecting the men, and could almost laugh at the assembled group who had managed to come into the tower of the fortress. Molly at the lead, her wand pointed at Bella, was quite possibly the most humored moment of it all. Bella could not think of anything less frightening.
Wallburga had lead the way, but when they had heard Bella, Molly had burst into the room. Andromeda and Moly were not trained in dueling, never active in the war. Wallburga had not been either, but she had her Black powers to thank, as did Lucretia and Druella.
Bella smirked. "Oh this is just rich."
Molly leveled her wand. "Release my son."
Bella instead lifted Fred up. "I don't think so."
Narcissa tried. "Take me instead."
Bella looked at her. "Righteous as always."
Narcissa reminded her. "I am the one who betrayed you."
Bella agreed. "And he is one of your whelp's good friends."
Narcissa pushed. "But I am his mother."
Bella smirked. "That would be too quick for you."
Narcissa looked at Fred and back. "What do you want?"
Bella ran a knife under Fred's neck. "For you to suffer."
Lucretia reminded her. "That is not her son."
Bella shrugged. "He will be next, and Lucius. She will watch them all suffer and die gruesomely."
Narcissa was shaking. "I won't let it happen."
Bella just laughed. "Are you going to stop me?"
Narcissa had her want in hand. "I will."
Bella laughed as she deflected Narcissa's attempt. "You can't even stop me doing this."
Bella decided that maybe the boy was not too fun to keep. Maybe her nephew would be a better play thing. As she taunted her sister with that, she took the knife and went to slit the throat of the useless boy in her arms. She deflected another useless spell, and tired of their interruptions, she erected a shield she knew none of them could bring down. Dear old grandsire and his pathetic belief she should not learn the family magic. Oh there was nothing gray about her, she was Black, but that just made her all the more powerful.
Suddenly though she was shocked as the hand holding her wand was pierced from her body. It was severed as if by a sword, and pinned to the wall behind her by a dagger she had never seen the likes before. Her wards had not fallen, but the dagger had made it through.
Bella summoned her wand with the minimal wandless she knew. "How?"
Wallburga snarled. "You didn't think we'd simply let you take us down."
Bella was shocked. "You? You?"
Wallburga smiled. "With a little help from my grandson."
Bella pointed down at Fred. "It will not save him."
Lucretia reminded her. "You lost your wand hand."
Bella kicked Fred. "I have enough control to do away with his disgusting whelp."
Lucretia looked at Fred. "Remember your game with Uncle Ignatius?"
Fred was confused. "Yes."
Lucretia tried to assure him. "Just play."
Bella smirked. "No more time for childhood games."
Wallburga looked at her. "Do it."
Lucretia shot Molly a look. "Be ready."
Though the kids hadn't known it, they had seen their Aunt do gray magic for years. Fred had always loved playing with his Great Uncle, he was lots of fun. He would play bear, and the boys would try and wrestle him down. Ignatius was too strong, and Lucretia would help them, by causing a minor earthquake below Ignatius. She had enough control, she could control it under him alone. She hadn't done it in years, and hoped she could still do it. As the floor felt like it collapsed under Bella, she lost her grip on Fred and he managed to escape.
Bella screamed. "This isn't…."
Molly finally did it. "No."
Bella's last words came out as a gurgle of blood. "You…"
Fred stood in shock. "Mum."
Molly held her head up. "No one threatens my children."
Fred went into her arms. "I'm okay."
Narcissa looked out. "The men need to know."
Wallburga removed the dagger and took the hand. "Let us send Rodolphus a little message."
Druella handed her the wand. "So he has no doubt."
Fred held to his mum. "How?"
The women went to lead him out. "Blacks stick together."
Wallburga placed the dagger back into her cloak. The dagger had been a gift from the centaurs to Salazar, like the sword of Gryffindor. Salazar feared his son's intentions, before he died. It was his son, and not the daughter he shared with Godric, whose line had gone dark. He had placed the dagger with the centaurs. Harry had been given it as protection by Magorian, but Harry had given it to his grandmother, as she left.
Moody appeared and saw the dead body. "I guess there is only one prisoner to take to the ministry."
Rodolphus had been taken to the ministry where he would be given the kiss. He had escaped it because it would require a trial before. But after his escape and all he had done, there would be no saving him now. Oddly the Lestrange money would go to Narcissa and her Andromeda, as the closet family to the couple. The sisters would split it into trusts for their children, the Lestrange title would no longer exist, as Rodolphus never adopted an heir. The man had of course never cared about his estate other than for the power and title.
Arcturus and the other men were so confused when the hand had appeared. Moody had not told them anything. He had sent a patronus from the tower and simply instructed them to go to the ministry. They were all shocked, when all the Black women appeared.
Arcturus asked. "What are you doing here?"
Lucius kissed his wife. "You are meant to be with our son."
Narcissa laughed. "Hiding you mean?"
Sirius reminded her. "You were never involved."
"And you were not called for." Regulus added.
Lucretia reminded them. "They attacked the Black family."
Druella spoke up. "The entire Black family."
Wallburga finished. "And we were not about to sit by as our family was threatened."
Arcturus was shocked. "You were there?"
Moody appeared. "Bella is dead. I have yet to learn by who."
Rodolphus was near. "No. No she is not dead."
Moody had her body brought. "Need any more proof."
Rodolphus raged as he was led away. "I will make whoever killed her pay."
Sirius looked. "The hand? It was you?"
Wallburga nodded. "With a little help from my grandson."
Druella looked at Molly. "Though Molly took her down."
Shock ran through the men. Rodolphus was powerful but Bella was possibly much stronger. They had believed the women had stayed at home. Wallburga told them about the dagger that Harry had given them. Arcturus was not surprised it had pierced the shields, or severed the hand. But the fact Molly had taken down Bella, was a shock to all. She had been too busy being a mother to seven kids, to ever be in the first war. But they had always known she was a mother bear when it came to her kids. It was often said, that there was no more dangerous animal on earth, than a mother protecting her young. With bears, like wolves, that was very true. And Molly had proven that loud and true.
Rodolphus was not given a full trial. He was tried before Madam Bones, with vertiserum and the witnesses in the room as well. The man was sentenced to the kiss to no shock, and led from the room. They learned, before they headed to the manor, he had not survived the kiss.
Harry was relieved to see them. "You are home."
Regulus held his son. "I promised we would."
Sirius nodded. "No need to doubt."
Arcturus kissed his grandson. "I promised I'd return them."
Remus looked at his husband. "Is it over?"
Lucius answered. "Rodolphus was given the kiss."
Harry panicked. "Bella? Fred?"
Fred appeared with Molly and the other women. "Safe."
George hugged his twin. "Thank Merlin."
Arthur was with his sons. "Where were you?"
Wallburga smirked. "Not about to leave it to the men."
Arcturus growled. "We had Rodolphus under control."
Lucretia shrugged. "And we had Bella."
Harry was relieved. "I am happy you are safe."
Wallburga handed him the dagger. "Thank you."
Harry took it. "Did you use it?"
Fred smiled. "So cool, she cut Bella's hand off with it."
Wallburga looked at Molly. "Molly did the final blow."
Arthur looked at his wife. "Molly?"
Molly looked at all her kids. "I guess the Prewett genes didn't skip me after all."
Arthur was not as shocked as his children were by the news. He had always known his wife was brave and how much she loved their children. He was shocked she had gone but not what she had done. Molly rarely showed it, but she was truly the sister of Gideon and Fabian. Molly's kids all knew, she would have done the same for all of them, even if she lost her life. They had never had any doubt their mother would try and take on the world for them. They were simply shocked that she had the power to take down the likes of Bella.
Remus had his own news. "They found her."
Sirius turned. "Her?"
Remus reminded him. "The real professor."
Harry thought. "She was from Durmstang."
Regulus wondered. "Was she involved?"
Remus shook his head. "She was being held hostage."
Tonks had appeared. "When Bella died, she was freed."
Harry wondered. "Is she going to teach?"
Regulus shook his head. "No. She is heading home."
Druella understood. "Likely didn't get the best first impression of our country."
Draco asked. "Who will teach?"
Regulus shrugged. "An auror likely for now."
Arcturus shrugged. "Perhaps another Black on staff."
Regulus and Remus had considered it in the past, sharing the duties. They thought they might consider now, at least until Harry was done school. Harry would likely remain at school, but he wanted to be a healer, not teach. But they were undecided and for now the boys were staying home for a bit. They would do their school work here, but they could see the boys though handling it well, were still a bit shaken.
Molly saw it especially in Fred who had been strong but looked to be going into shock. "Maybe dinner and some rest."
An: So the Black women got their day to shine, including honorary one Molly. Wasn't about to allow the men to have all the glory.
So trying to decide whether to wind down or continue for a bit. Be fluffy from here on, Harry dating and such. Taking votes. No sequel, either continue or end here.
