I'm back! I'm sorry that I was away for so long. I had a crazy period of time with visitors from abroad and other obligations. I know that a lot of you have prompted, and I promise I have a list of your prompts and I'm working on it. I'm trying my best to have it all in the right order. Anyways, this one is for MelodiousVengeance.

She was sick. So sick she couldn't get out of bed, and even if she could her father was anyway blocking the way. He kept insisting that she needed rest, and once she gave up fighting he sat on the edge of her bed, fixing the blankets to cover her whole body.

"Dad, I'm fine," she tried to tell him for the hundredth time, but he wasn't paying any attention.

"You need to rest princess. Stop telling me that you're fine and close your eyes".

She rolled her eyes, stifling a cough. "I don't need you to stay and watch me until I fall asleep. I'm fully capable of staying alone in my room".

He smiled at her, his hand fixing the blankets yet again. "I'm well aware," he chuckled. "But I was thinking it's a great time to tell you the true story of a young princess and the shepherd who fell in love".

She had no energy to fight again. And if she was being honest, some part of her wanted her father to tell her the story of how her parents met and fell in love. Even if she kind of already knew it.

"If I'm going along with this you need to keep it children-appropriate. I have no desire to know how the queen got pregnant at the end." She said with a smirk.

"Oh but that's the best part," he said with a wink. "After all, look at the beautiful princess they created".

I know this one sucks, and I'm sorry. But still, maybe tell me what you think? :)
