Chapter 39

Normally I plan things out in advance but running toward a guy that uses dragon magic wanting to kill a guy that hurt his cat is something that you don't plan. I have gone up against so many other magical beings and have planned my battles and took them down at last minute. No one has planned to beat someone who has dragon powers that fused with a magical force that lies underground for centuries!

"What's the plan?" Gajeel asked as we kept running.

"Not sure, I don't even know if we can snap Natsu out of this due to how much he has tapped into the Layline." I answered.

"You're saying we are going into this blindly?" Panther Lily asked.

"Hey! I didn't even plan on getting my ass kicked either!" I exclaimed.

"Will you stop fighting? Our friend is out there planning to kill that Three Tail Thorn guy if he finds him!" Carla exclaimed.

I had a feeling she was right since I saw the guy wetting his pants while I fought Natsu. As we approached I noticed something in the corner of my eye and felt my magic getting stronger as we got closer to where we saw Dragon Natsu searching for his prey.

"Wait guys, I think I have something." I said and pointed at the glow. "See that? It is the other part of the Layline and I think if one you can use a strong attack then we can knock him out!"

"What?" Wendy asked.

"Are you crazy?" Gajeel asked.

"There was one time where I refered to myself as Wile E. Coyote Suuuper Genious and it's time for that to come back!" I said.

"Well Super Genious, who will be using that glow?" Gajeel asked.

I looked at him and then at Wendy; Gajeel may have the metal powerhouse with Winter on his side with what Mab had given him while Wendy can strike up a windstorm with or without the Summer Gift and knowing that fire can melt metal especially with the flames that Natsu is using now, I doubt Metal and Studs would stand up to him unless he distracts him.

I turned to Wendy and asked, "What's your most powerful or secret attack?"

"Huh? The Sky Drill, why?" she asked.

"Sky Drill?" I asked.

"It was something she learned for a competition back in our world and ended up winning a battle with a draw against another guild member." Carla answered.

"Except it takes up a lot of power." Wendy said.

"We did power up before we got in here." Gajeel said.

"It still needs more to power up if I want a direct hit." She said.

"That is why we have the other part of the Layline, you need to use that Sky Drill thing in order to take out Natsu." I said.

"Wait, wouldn't it kill him?" Gajeel asked.

"Not quite, you forget that Natsu is able to get up after most things and this can be the only chance of saving him!" we heard Happy say from my pocket.

"Finally the Blue Furball decides to pipe in." I said.

"Never thought he would still be in your pocket all this time." Carla said.

"It is very comfortable in here." He said.

"Enough guys, Wendy you know the plan right?" I asked.

"I think so, I hope I don't end up like Natsu." She said in a worried tone.

"Please child, you can use light like no other when it comes to what Grandina gave you." Carla said.

"Very well, Metal and Studs you're with me and trying to distract Natsu!" I said.

"Right!" Gajeel exclaimed and turned to Wendy and said, "Good luck!"

"Thanks!" she said and ran off towards the glow of the Layline while we split off towards Natsusaurus Rex was prowling.

"Hey Dragon Breath!" I yelled.

He turned to see me and said, "You! I thought I took care of you!"

"Think I again! I may have turned up the heat but let's add a little ice shall we?" I yelled and started to make the area grow cold with Winter howling.

Natsu growled and started to throw comets again and I started dodging and yelled, "Go for it Gajeel!"

"Right! Time for me to use what the Winter Queen gave me! Winter hear my call! Give me strength!" he yelled.

I felt the shift in the air as Winter started to come out. Despite what Mab had given him, the gift really knows hgow to keep on giving, especially what it may do with Erza's armor and Grey's attack. Gajeel, on the other hand, with his own dragon side is one huge beast.

"IRON DRAGON WING ATTACK!" He yelled and the attack flew and it was colder and sharper once it struck Natsu.

Natsu screamed in pain and started to fight back at us with dverybright flames.

"Bad day! Bad day! Bad day!" I exclaimed as I ran and then started to strike back with more of my Winter Knight powers as.

"Come on Wendy." I said as the fight kept going.

"ICE MAKE WINTER!" we heard and we saw a huge, ice wolf come at Natsu.

"What the hell?" I asked and turned to see Grey in his naked glory.

"Man, can you wear a censor bar for once?" I muttered.

"Requip! FIRE EMPRESS ARMOR!" we heard and Erza appeared in her armor and went after Natsu.

"Open! GATE OF THE SCORPION! SCORPIO!" Lucy exclaimed and her spirit came out.

"Whoa, when did you guys decide to show?" I asked.

"We didn't want you guys to go alone and take all the glory!" Grey said as he sent more of his ice magic.

"You wanted to go because you saw that Natsu was not backing down." Lucy said.

"That too." He said.

"By the way, where's Wendy and Carla?" Lucy asked.

"I sent her off to the other part of the Layline." I answered.

"What!?" they asked.

"Are you crazy!? What if she acts like Natsu?" Grey yelled.

"Calm down! Don't get…" I stopped because I realized that he wasn't wearing any underwear at the moment.

We heard Natsu yell a spell and Erza and Scorpio flew back with the blast. I saw him coming at us with a fireball in his mouth.

"Shit!" I exclaimed.

It flew at us and I held up my arm with my shield bracelet and knew that we were doomed once we're toast.

"Hold on Harry!" Happy yelled.

I kept it up until we heard, "Splitting the light!"

"Huh?" I asked and then saw a small figure appear in the distance and knew it was Wendy holding some of the light from the Layline.

"Wendy?" Erza asked.

"Finally our Hail Mary has come!" I said.

"SECRET ART! SKY DRIIIILLLL!" she yelled and we felt the huge blast of wind and it shook the entire area.

I felt a lot more powerful magics being released but this one takes the cake, a huge chunk of it. We did hear the roar from Natsu since he got hit head on and then was knocked out after a few moments. I stood up and saw him on the ground all bruised and had a few burn markings due to how much fire he tossed around, especially around the face. I did see Wendy being picked up by Gajeel and then found the guy from Three Tail Thorn.

"There you are." I said and noticed how he was curled up into a ball and did smell some urine.

"Is it over?" he asked in a trembling voice.

"Yeah." I said and then punched him to knock him out. "That's for almost destroying my home!"

Molly and Cerissa found us and sent the guy off to Arctus Tor. We got back to where the rest of the Council waited and they were relieved to see us okay. Even Andi tackled Butters once she saw him.

"Looks like they're in trouble?" I asked Ebeneiser.

"I don't think so Haas, after seeing that your new friends were the ones fighting evil we were able to trust them." Ebeneiser answered and looked at Laharl and Doranbolt, "What happened to the last one?"

"Sent off to where his buddies are by what Molly did." Laharl said and looked at Molly.

"Mab is not too happy about it from the beginning but she understood how Chicago is important in keeping everything in balance." She said and rubbed her head a bit.

"Knowing Titania is thinking the same thing." Cerissa said in agreement and rubbed her temples.

We managed to head back to Molly's apartment to sleep the rest of the night and await what comes next.
