Chapter 37: Warriors of Hyrule
Last time, our heroes had beaten Twinrova, the combination of the witches Koume & Kotake. With the Master Sword in tow, they now head to destroy the barrier surrounding Hyrule Castle.
Date: August 22, 2011, Time: 6:00 pm, Location: Hyrule Castle entrance
"All right, stand back guys. I don't know how exactly it will break." Link said. Everyone did as he said as he slashed at the barrier. The second the blade of evil's bane touched it, the barrier shattered like glass. "Well, that was anticlimactic." Matt noted.
"Yeah. no big explosion or anything. It just, broke." Sonic said. "Oh well. We can enter the castle now." With that overwith, the group was now standing in the courtyard, where they found a bunch of soldiers lying on the ground, bleeding, or fighting darknuts, moblins, & wizzrobes. "This however, just got intense."
"And dark." Matt added, "Now then, game time?"
"Game time!" With that battle cry shouted, the Doctor & Rose decided to help out the injured while everyone else rushed toward the enemy soldiers. Ganondorf saw this from the tower where Zelda was, & summoned his strongest minions to get them in position. "Should have known those two witches wouldn't be enough. Argorok, go meet them over in the courtyard. The rest of you, guard the stairways on each floor. I'll let you decide who goes where. Oh, & if they get past you without you dying, you will perish by my hands instead." With that "pep talk", all the beasts went to their posts.
Back in the courtyard, the heroes had pretty much finished off the opponents & were helping out all the injured. "It's a good thing we got some fairies while we were getting the pendants." Link said.
"Don't forget all the potions we bought as well." Matt added. As he was getting the very last moblin & Rose healed the final soldier they could with their supplies, a shadow covered the courtyard. As they all looked up, Matt proclaimed a very familiar phrase. "OH CRAP!"
"Is that a dragon?" Rose asked.
"Not just any dragon. That's the Twilit Dragon, Argorok!"
"Twilit?!" Link yelled.
"Yes, Twilit. This is bad."
"Does it have a weak point?" Luigi asked.
"The scales are a little weaker on its back. If we can pull it down to the ground, Link & I could slice those up, revealing its flesh. Then we can all hurt it."
"The longshots!" Link realized.
"Just what I was thinking."
"My Slash Claw should help with those scales." Megaman added. With the plan now in place, everyone got ready for battle.
