So...I thought as I have this story now wrote up to the end I thought I would start posting the chapters a bit quicker for this story and get it all wrapped up. After this chapter there will be three more and hopefully the story is all wrapped up nicely for you. I would also like to ask for some opinions. I am thinking maybe perhaps after this story...or at least not long after this story about starting another story as I have so many ideas whizzing around my head and wrote down on countless pieces of paper (otherwise I would forget ha!) and I would like to ask for some opinions on what I should write next. I have an Evil Charming story idea in the form of Cinderella, An Outlaw Queen AU where Regina and Robin know one another from college, go their separate ways and come together years later only to find Regina is engaged to be married and Robin wants her back or I have a AU story that has been whizzing around my head for so so sooo long of a Regina raising Emma sort of story line going along the lines of the curse still but taking things in a different direction. I swear that idea has gone through my head since at least the second season of OUAT and I have yet to write the story haha! So yes if you would like to leave me your opinions of what you would like to see next that would be appreciated as I cannot decide what to write next but would like to have something new.
Right I will let you get on with the chapter...Enjoy!
Everyone was sat around the dinner table in the mansion, the sound of chatter and laughter filling the room. Regina sat at the head of the table with Robin and Henry on either side of her. To Henry's other side Emma sat with Mary-Margaret sat beside her and opposite Emma and sat beside Robin was Zelena and beside her was David and then at the other end of the table beside David and Mary-Margaret sat Cora.
Cora sat and watched her two daughters talking and laughing and she was so happy that they were getting along now. She watched as Regina turned to Henry and insisted he eat the rest of his vegetables before he even thought about having dessert and it made her smile even more. Regina had been a wonderful mother to Henry and she was more than sure she would be a wonderful mother to the new baby. She then looked over towards Zelena again. Things between Zelena and Victor Whale were going well and Zelena had been upset when he had told her he had to work and could not join them for dinner.
Life seemed to be working out for once. Although not completely fixed things with Zelena were going much better. Their shopping trip they had gone on had gone well with Zelena even laughing with Cora over Regina's fussiness on what baby clothes to buy and what teddies the baby should have.
Cora was soon brought out of her thoughts when Regina cleared her throat and pushed herself up from the chair. Robin joined her and stepped over to wrap his arm around her waist and rest his hand on her bump. "We gathered you all here tonight not just to spend time with you all but we also have something we would like to tell you." Regina started.
"Oh you have decided to stop with the secrets and actually tell us what the gender of the baby is." Zelena spoke up making everyone laugh.
"Ah no that is not what we are going to be telling you. That will still remain a secret." Robin said.
Zelena rolled her eyes and Regina continued. "Yes Robin's right we won't be mentioning the baby's gender but we do want to share a little surprise with you all that we found out on our last scan…"
"What is it?" Cora asked.
"Well…in a few months we won't be expecting just one baby. We will be expecting two." Regina revealed and everyone around the table gasped, well all except from Henry of course who just grinned at everyone's reactions.
"You're having twins?" Mary-Margaret asked.
"That's right." Regina smiled. "It appears that we did not find out beforehand on my other scan because one of the babies was hiding the other one. But they decided to appear to us this time."
"Well congrats you guys. You're going to have double the trouble then." Emma said.
"Yep." Robin grinned.
"So am I going to have two nieces or two nephews or a niece and a nephew?" Zelena asked hoping to badger Regina into telling her what she was having.
Regina rolled her eyes. "Give it up Zee. Like I have told Henry about one hundred times I am not going to tell you. It will be a surprise."
"Seriously guys the suspense is killing me. I just want to know." Zelena huffed.
"Which makes it all the more fun for us." Regina smirked. "Anyway that is the big news we had for you all."
"I was told last night." Henry added in. He smirked inwardly loving that he knew the other secret that no one else knew.
Regina smiled at him. "Right who is ready for pudding?" Regina asked and was just about to clear the dishes away when Robin placed a hand on her shoulder to stop her. He guided her back to the chair and gently pushed her down.
"You sit here. I will clear the dishes away and get pudding. You and the twins rest." He said with a smile.
"I can clear some dishes away…" Regina argued but Robin shook his head.
"Stay where you are." He called back as he started to clear some of the dishes away.
"You know dear you should listen to him. He is right. You need to look after yourself and my grandchildren in there." Cora said.
Regina rolled her eyes a little. "I'm pregnant not ill. I am more than capable of doing things around the house like normal."
"Stubborn girl." Cora muttered.
"Wonder where she gets that from…" Zelena smirked.
"Oh your one to talk." Regina said shoving Zelena a little.
A few months passed and Regina was now only a few days off her due date and was exceptionally big. Robin and Henry and worked hard on the babies nurseries, the two spare bedrooms becoming a haven of blue and pink for the twins arrival. They had refused to let Regina see until they were done and today was that day.
Henry rushed down stairs and out into the garden to where Regina was sitting enjoying the sun that was shining down on them. "Okay mom Robin and I have finished the twins rooms. Would you like to come and see?" Henry said.
Regina smiled at him. "I would love to. Help me up please…" Regina said holding out her hand to Henry. Henry placed his hand in hers and helped to pull her up. They then walked into the house and made their way up the stairs.
Henry motioned for her to stop and called out to Robin. "Robin are you ready for mom to see?"
Robin came out of a room and closed the door behind him giving Regina one of his best smiles which made her smile back at him. "Everything is ready." He said as he walked over to her. He took her hand in his and guided her over to the first bedroom. "Now I want you to be honest with us. If there is something you do not like just tell us. Okay?" Robin said.
"I will." Regina said nodding her head.
Robin pushed the door to the first bedroom open and gently guided Regina into the room. Regina gasped as she looked around her. The room was painted in a light blue colour, with curtains to match which were a slightly darker blue. The cot, which had a white frame had blue covers and a mobile hanging from it with crystal decorations. Regina walked over to it and ran her hands over the crystals and they twinkled and rainbow colours shone onto the wall as the sun hit them. She turned and saw a white changing table and different soft toys and baby toys all over the room. Everything her little boy could ask for. She turned to Robin and Henry who were looking at her expectantly. "I love it. It's wonderful." Regina smiled.
"Yes! Told you she would love it." Henry said happily as he punched the air.
Regina and Robin laughed and Robin walked over to her. "Ready to see our girls room?"
Regina nodded her head and Robin guided her out of the bedroom and into the next one. Their little girls room was similar to their little boys room but instead of the light blue walls this one had light pink walls with curtains to match and in the cot there was pink covers with a similar mobile hanging. A white changing table and of course different soft toys and baby toys. "You have both done so well. I love everything about the rooms. " Regina said.
Robin and Henry hi-fived and Regina laughed at them. She placed a hand on her swollen bump and she smiled to herself. She couldn't wait to meet her babies and bring them home to their perfect rooms and perfect little family.
