Uh-oh, looks like Cody's monster side is coming out again. It's Halloween, and the whole group is going out trick-or-treating with each other. Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup are going as their favorite heroines, Bridgette as one of her favorite cartoon characters, Josh as a Shakespearean favorite, Ricardo and Luke as two of their own favorite super heroes, and Cody… Well, Cody is indecisive about his costume until the Full Moon on Halloween Night brings out the monster in him – literally.

Howling On Halloween!

The scene opened with a haunted house silhouette with an orange dusk backdrop, and bats hanging around trees in the scene. The scene also had purple clouds around the sun, which was halfway down. The scene had cobwebs, spiders, and other spooky motifs. The scene panned out to see that it was actually the cover of a magazine.

"Oh, wow, this Halloween edition of 'Fashion Fatale' magazine is full of sultry, attractive costumes for girls!" Bubbles said, as she showed the girls her magazine.

"Forget the costumes," Bridgette said, looking on the cover of the magazines. "Where are the recipes? I want to make some Halloween-based cookies and treats for Trick-or-Treaters at my house; no kids are going to get store bought sweets from me!"

"That's the spirit, Bridgette," Buttercup said. "But don't you think we're getting a bit old for Trick-Or-Treating like this?"

"Who cares?!" Blossom said, her eyes alight with joy and anticipation from the big holiday. "I just love dressing up! And candies and treats are the best part of it!"

"I just think it's great to combine our group date with Halloween night," Bubbles said. "Cody's going as a heavy metal musician."

"Heavy metal? That sounds a little intense," Buttercup said. "Sounds like bikers trying to pass off as rock stars…"

"Maybe, maybe not," Bridgette said. "But I also can't wait for Halloween, either…"

Cody was coming into the room, about to talk to Bubbles about his Halloween costume, when he heard the rest of the conversation amongst the girls.

"The best, and most romantic part is that it's going to be a full moon!" Bridgette finished.

Cody flinched a bit when he heard the words 'full moon', and he swallowed a lump in his throat.

'Oh, no… I HATE full moons…' Cody thought, as he started to shudder and shake from the idea of a full moon on Halloween.

"Any ideas of what you're going to dress up as?" Blossom asked.

"I'm going to be Harmony Bunny!" Bubbles said.

"Isn't that just you in a rabbit costume?" Buttercup asked.

"Yes," Bubbles said. "I don't see an issue with it. I love rabbits."

"Nothing wrong with that," Bridgette said. "What about you, Buttercup?"

"I'm going as Mange," Buttercup said. "Nice and dark; totally my style."

"That's so like you," Bridgette said, with a laugh. "But then again, feminine isn't your scene…"

"Very funny," Buttercup said, rolling her eyes; she turned to Blossom. "How about you, Blossom? Going as a superhero couple with Luke?"

"I wish," Blossom said, sighing sadly. "I'm going as Liberty Belle; what's your costume going to be, Bridgette?"

"That's a secret for now." Bridgette said, with a wink.

"You and your secretive side…" Bubbles said. "There are times where that gets a little upsetting…"

"But this time I'm keeping a secret for the fun of it," Bridgette said, with a wink. "And I can't wait to see Josh in the light of the full moon."

Cody once again winced at the words 'full moon', and shuddered a bit. He was sitting on a bench with the rest of the boys, and he kept his guard up around them.

"Cody, what's gotten into you?" Luke asked. "Every time we say something about the moon, you flinch or shudder."

"Oh, nothing," Cody said. "I guess I'm just nervous with chills because I'm really excited. This is the first Halloween I've ever been on since I first met Bubbles."

"Right, you were in the hospital for, what, nine years?" Ricardo inquired.

"Exactly," Cody said. "So until now, I haven't been able to trick-or-treat; the closet thing to Halloween in the hospital was decorations and the occasional cookie."

"That doesn't sound too pleasant," Josh said. "Better than nothing."

"That's true…" Cody said. "So, costumes, fellas?"

"Mine won't be complete until I can find a decent wig or semi-permanent platinum-blonde hair dye or something," Luke said. "I'm going as Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII."

"That really isn't a surprise," Josh said, with a laugh. "He's a buster-sword user, as are you. I think it's a perfect fit."

"Thanks, Josh," Luke said. "Ricardo, what about you?"

"I'm going as the Marvel Comic hero, Hawkeye," Ricardo said. "Fitting for an archer like myself."

"I'm surprised you didn't decide to go as Green Arrow instead." Cody joked.

"I'm not blonde…" Ricardo said, shaking his head. "What's your costume going to be, Josh?"

"I'm going as Hamlet." Josh said, before drinking some of his water.

"Hamlet? Really?" Cody said. "That's flipping your script."

"I don't know what Bridgette is going as, so I'm not sure what else I could choose," Josh said. "But what about your costume, Cody?"

"A heavy metal musician," Cody said. "Since I'm a guitarist, I'm going as a heavy metal guitarist."

"That's fitting for you," Luke said. "I can't wait to see what the girls are going as."

'Good, no one has talked about the full moon thing.' Cody thought, before breathing.

Later at Cody's house, he had made it home; once he entered his house, he went upstairs to go into his bedroom. Cody sighed as he placed his bag on his bed and then sat down to relax.

"Full moon, huh…?" Cody said, before looking at the calendar on the wall; sure enough, the calendar said that Halloween Night was a full moon.

~Flashback – The Previous Full Moon~

It was around midnight; the full moon was at its peak and the clouds were swirling around it. The moonlight was seeping into Cody's bedroom, and it was covering his face.

Cody stirred in the night, and his eyes opened slowly. He tossed and turned in his bed a few times, trying to get some sleep, but he failed in both. Cody looked to his alarm clock and it said it was five minutes to midnight.

"Ugh… nearly midnight?" Cody muttered; he got out of bed to go and get some water to drink.

He slowly trudged to the bathroom, being careful not to wake up his parents. Cody rubbed his eyes a bit; his eyes were trying to adjust to the lack of light in the house. Cody made it to the bathroom, and he covered his eyes before turning on the light.

Cody yawned as he took a paper cup and started to drink some water. However, he opened his eyes and saw that he had fangs. He dropped his cup and stared in the mirror.

"F-Fangs?! A-again?!" Cody muttered, trying to calm down, but he was getting nothing. He looked around and tried to find any other problems he had.

Cody looked out the window and his eyes made contact with the moon. Cody shut his eyes tightly to try and make sure the moon would not awaken his inner wolf.

He turned back to the mirror and saw that his eyes went from their usual blue to the red that he would have when he was the werewolf that was created from the Black Z Rays.

He glugged down some more water, shut out the lights, and then he started to run back to his bedroom. Cody shut the door, silently, and then he took some deep breaths before going back to sleep. The Black Z Rays began dying down and soon the fangs and eyes went back to normal. Cody was only half-asleep when he realized this occurred, and then he grew worried that the next full moon would only bring more problems.

~End of Flashback~

"Man…" Cody said. "I know I'm hard-wired for my monster side, but why can't I have more control over it? I've tried all kinds of calming strategies, but…"

Cody trailed off and then he fell onto his back on the bed.

"Now that I'm going out to trick-or-treat with my friends this weekend, how am I going to keep that monster from coming out when I'm out in the open during a full moon?" Cody asked aloud, as he then turned onto his stomach and slammed his face in his pillow.

Cody then stood back up and went to his closet to look at his costume. It was his electric guitar, coupled with some fake tattoos he had lying around, plus some black clothing, like a sleeveless T-Shirt. There was a belt with chains, and a bracelet with spikes on the choker. He also had some white and black face paint bottles in the closet, too.

"Hopefully I can cover it up with my Halloween costume…" Cody said, before shuddering a bit.

He looked around the closet for some other items he could try. He was hoping to look for something silver to suppress his werewolf side, and he soon found a silver cross necklace. He put that with his costume and he hoped and prayed that he would have it easy that night.

"I hope that the silver necklace helps…" Cody muttered, before taking a deep breath.

Cody managed to calm down and relax a little bit, as he felt better; he had a plan in place to keep his inner wolf from coming out, but at the same time, he was still anxious that it would fail. However, Cody knew that in the past, pessimism led him into trouble, which is sort of what caused him to become a victim of the Black Z Rays in the beginning. He tried to be more optimistic about his situation, but looking out the window and seeing the falling leaves, Cody was feeling less and less confident.

The next day at school, Cody was trying his best to stay calm and relaxed about Halloween.

"Cody," Bubbles said, as she came over to her boyfriend and gave him a plate of treats. "Bridgette made these. Try one."

The treat in question was a thick, orange cookie that was shaped like a pumpkin and had chocolate ganache decorations making the face. It seemed strangely thick and Cody took a bite… only for some colored chocolate candies to fall onto the plate he was given, and a few of them to fall into his mouth.

"It's a piñata cookie," Bubbles explained. "Bridgette's making these in different styles. Witch hats, cats, bats, ghosts, and the like, and she'll give a pack out to trick-or-treaters."

"Nice!" Cody said, with a big smile.

"Nice to see you smiling again," Bubbles said, as she sat down next to her boyfriend and gave him a hug, and then a kiss on the cheek. "I've been worried about you…"

"Y-you have?" Cody asked, as he hugged Bubbles back.

"You always act so despondent or anxious whenever it's a full moon," Bubbles said. "And since it's Halloween this time around, I'm worried that you're not going to join us because of whatever it is that's bothering you…"

Cody, feeling horrible that his behavior was causing Bubbles to think like that, had every intention of participating in the Halloween night's activity, and was hoping to make sure Bubbles was okay.

'I can't tell her what's going on; she'll just get more worried than she already is.' Cody thought, and decided to reassure Bubbles.

"Of course I'll go trick-or-treating with you and the rest of the team," Cody said, as he hugged Bubbles back, and then kissed her on the forehead. "I wouldn't miss it for the world."

Cody was still concerned about his inner werewolf coming and causing problems, but he decided to let it go for the time being and just decided to enjoy the moment with his sweet girlfriend.

The boys were watching the banter between Bubbles and Cody.

"Now that I think about it, Cody does act a little strange when it's almost a full moon," Josh said. "What's eating him?"

"I don't know," Ricardo said. "Maybe he's not up for trick-or-treating?"

"Who knows?" Luke said. "So we need to make sure we help Cody with… whatever's bothering him, and then he can relax during the night."

"I just can't wait for Halloween to come around," Bubbles said. "It's your first Halloween since you've been out of the hospital, right?"

"It sure is," Cody said. "And that's why I'm so happy to celebrate it with my friends, the girls… and you."

Bubbles blushed, and then both she and Cody shared a quick, sweet kiss with each other before going back to their desks to pay attention to their teacher for the upcoming lecture.

Later that day, the boys met up with the girls, and they were about to discuss Cody's behavior.

"Girls, have you noticed that Cody starts acting weird whenever it's the week of a full moon?" Luke asked. "Has he ever displayed behavior like that before?"

"No, never… At least, not that we know of," Blossom said. "He's only been out of the hospital for, not even a year, maybe less, so he's never shown us such mannerisms."

"He's never showed behavior in that manner in the past," Bridgette said. "Maybe it's related to you-know-what?"

Everyone immediately knew what Bridgette was talking about, and then Ricardo said, "She's got a good point. You know, that, and full moons, it's never a good mix."

Everyone nodded in agreement, and then Buttercup said, "Speaking of Cody, where did he go?"

"Bubbles, too…" Josh said, as he grew worried. "Where'd they go?"

"Maybe they're making out somewhere?" Luke said aloud.

"Who knows?" Ricardo said. "But with Bubbles around, the chances of that happening are pretty slim, and even if it does happen, at least we have the one person who can bring him to his senses on the scene."

"I just hope it doesn't come to that." Blossom said.

"As long as he stays calm, it won't." Luke said.

Everyone agreed to try and tell Cody that they somewhat figured out what was bothering him, and hoped that would help him relax.

"Anyway, enough about that topic," Bridgette said, as she decided to change the subject. "I'm thinking of giving you guys some treat bags before we go out on the night."

"Thanks," Buttercup said. "I'm sure Cody will certainly be pleased with those."

"When it comes to sweets, no one beats my sweetie," Josh said, as he hugged Bridgette from behind; he kissed her on the cheek. "You're a genius in the kitchen."

"That's a stretch," Bridgette said. "But hopefully you like them."

"Being made from your hands, and with your talent," Josh said, turning Bridgette around to face him. "It's impossible not to like them."

He puckered up and he leaned in to give Bridgette a kiss, but she said, "Not now, Josh; we need to help make sure Cody can relax during our outing."

"She's right," Blossom said. "But then again, she usually is…"

"Enough about that," Buttercup said. "Let's just get going with our costumes and the like."

Everyone nodded in agreement, and decided to split off for the day; they were ready to relax.

Bubbles and Cody were on the roof together, holding hands, and Bubbles had her head on his shoulder, and he was very calm and very happy with Bubbles at his side. Cody kissed Bubbles on the cheek and she smiled happily as a reaction.

"Cody… I promise, I'll always be there for you," Bubbles said. "No matter what."

"Thank you," Cody said. "I feel like I can't keep myself from changing into that thing unless I'm calm, happy, and I have you around."

"I know that it's hard for you to control," Bubbles said. "Even White Z Rays turning you into Baron wasn't your cure. We need to figure something out…"

"I don't know," Cody said, as he let go of Bubbles' hand and put his arm around her shoulder. "The only good thing about that monster was that it was the catalyst that led to our reunion; I guess that's one thing to be thankful for."

"You're right," Bubbles said. "If not for the Z Rays, you would probably still be in the hospital, and we wouldn't have met again…"

"That's why while I want to get rid of this monster inside me, I also am grateful that I became it in the first place," Cody said, with a smile. "But as long as I have you at my side, I don't think it will emerge again any time soon. Not even when it's a full moon out at night."

"I hope so," Bubbles said. "Because when you do change into that beast, it's like the only one who can get through to you is me…"

"But I wouldn't have it any other way," Cody said, before kissing Bubbles on the lips. "I love you so much…"

Bubbles rested her head in his chest while he hugged back, and Cody started to stroke her hair.

Two nights later, it was already Halloween; the moon was rising in the semi-cloudy sky, bats were flying around, it was a little foggy, and the trees were all bare. Not a single leaf in sight. There were houses all decked out for the holiday, kids of different ages in several types of costumes, from butterflies, to zombies, and everything in between. There were bowls of candy at every doorstep, too.

Blossom's house was also all ready for the big night. Blossom herself was in her costume, and she had a really large sack, which she intended on using as a bag for her candy. She was very excited to get trick-or-treating with the girls, and was ready to help make sure Cody stayed calm.

As Blossom was making the final adjustments on her costume, she heard the doorbell to her house ring; she started to run down the stairs, and she was giggling.

"Oh, my gosh! I can't wait to see the look on Luke's face when he sees me as Liberty Belle!" Blossom said, as she was making her way over to the front door; her costume was not seen.

Looking out through the peephole in the door, she saw that it was Bubbles and Buttercup waiting for her outside.

"Hey, girls!" Blossom said, as she came out of the house, and greeted her friends.

"Hey, Blossom," Buttercup said. "You look great in that costume!"

"Thanks," Blossom said in reply. "I can't wait to show off to Luke. I'm Liberty Belle!"

Blossom's costume consisted of a gold-plated Eagle hair bow, with a red hairband in her bangs with a gold star sticking out. She was wearing a sleeveless, legless body suit with blue coloration on the sleeves of the suit and in the bikini area of the legs. Near the naval area was a red, v-shaped stripe; there was a white bodice with a red heart on the chest area, with a small, pink heart in the center. Her gloves were blue and came up short to her elbows, and she was wearing blue boots that went above the knees.

"That looks great," Bubbles said. "You really do look like Liberty Belle!"

"Thanks," Blossom said. "You also look adorable, Bubbles; you make a perfect rabbit! Cody will just want to eat you up!"

"I'm not just a rabbit; I'm Harmony Bunny." Bubbles said, as she posed and looked like she was about to go around hopping.

Bubbles' costume was that of Harmony Bunny. It was essentially just a white rabbit suit that conformed more to her figure. She had a short, white cape on the back that came around her neck and collarbone. Bubbles was also holding a pink basket that she was planning on trick-or-treating with.

"I hate to say this, but you really look cute in that," Buttercup said. "I'll bet Cody's going to love it."

"Thanks for saying so, Buttercup," Bubbles said. "You've also pulled off Mange really well."

Buttercup's costume was based on one of the more darker super heroines that Blossom had gotten her hooked on: Mange. She was wearing a black-green leotard with the arms going all the way to her wrists, with yellow bracelets. Buttercup had a green belt with yellow stars around it, as well. Her boots were black with green bands on the top, and it went above her knees. As for the cape, it was a black cape with a red inside, and it was tattered and filled with holes on the edges, with a yellow, oval button keeping it together.

"Yeah, this is so my style," Buttercup said. "Now let's go and rendezvous with the guys."

The boys, with the exception of Cody, were all at the lab, waiting for the girls to show up; they were each admiring their costumes and adjusting them accordingly.

"Honestly, all that semi-permanent blonde hair dye makes you look like a natural blonde, Luke," Ricardo commented. "I don't think Blossom will recognize you right off the bat."

"Thanks, guys," Luke said, as he finished up his costume. "I can't wait for this."

Luke's costume was that of Final Fantasy VII's Cloud Strife. His hair had been spiked up with a lot of hair gel, and using semi-permanent, platinum blonde hair dye, he was made to look like a natural blonde. He was wearing blue eye contacts. Luke was wearing a sleeveless, black combat suit with some spiky, shoulder armor on one shoulder. He had a brown belt that was similar to one a wrestling champion would wear, plus brown overall straps from the belt up. Luke was also wearing gloves that had two metal bracelets on the left arm, and as always, he had his large buster sword on him. Luke was also wearing brown hiking boots.

"You're looking great in that costume as well," Josh said, talking to Ricardo. "You really look like Hawkeye."

Ricardo was wearing a black suit that had purple trim, with the gloves included. There was a bit of fabric that went down from his stomach and also had purple trim, as well, and a belt, too. His helmet was a mask that extended up from the face and there was an 'H' atop his head, and the helmet was also purple, and he had purple bracelets that covered the forearm. On his back was a purple quiver of purple arrows and the clothing near the collarbone to the short sleeves were also purple, and he had a purple compound bow, as well. Ricardo was also wearing purple boots with the ends folded down.

"I'm surprised you went the Shakespearean tragedy route, Josh," Ricardo said. "That's not normally your thing…"

"Yeah, I know, but Bridgette really didn't tell me what she's going as tonight, so I didn't see much in the way of options. I would have gone as her match if I had known." Josh said, readjusting his hat.

Josh's costume was that of Prince Hamlet, from William Shakespeare's "Hamlet". His costume consisted of brown tights, black slippers with gold buckles on top, a thick frilly white collar around the neck and armholes, a brown-red shirt, and a black, wide-rimmed hat with a long yellow feather in the hat himself. And, of course, Josh was holding a plastic skull in his hand.

"Yikes…" Luke said, with a shudder. "Josh, I know you like Shakespearean romances, but Hamlet? That's a little bit much…"

"Listen, I don't know much about that story myself, but it's better than dressing up as something really embarrassing." Josh said, as he was adding some extra details to his skull to make it more realistic, but still not scare the heck out of the others.

The girls soon came into the lab, and they were all decked out in their costumes.

"Wow, girls, you look amazing!" Ricardo said. "Buttercup, that cape looks amazing on you."

"Thanks, Ricardo," Buttercup said, as she looked up and down Ricardo's costume. "An archer superhero; how very much like you."

Ricardo chuckled a bit and then kissed Buttercup on the cheek.

Blossom was looking around, trying to find Luke; she assumed the boy in front of her, with the blue eyes and blonde hair, was Cody with a new hair style.

"Hey, Blossom," Luke said, as he came over to Blossom and kissed her cheek. "Recognize me?"

"L-Luke…?" Blossom asked, as she examined his costume.

"Yes." Luke said, with a nod and a smile.

"Wow, I really didn't recognize you!" Blossom said, really impressed with Luke's costume.

"Not what I was going for, but I really appreciate the compliment," Luke said. "So, shall we go get Bridgette and see how she's doing on her costume?"

"I thought you'd never ask," Josh said, hearts aflutter. "I wonder if she's dressed as Ophelia?"

"Not likely," Bubbles said. "She never read 'Hamlet' before, and even if she did know you were going as Hamlet, I don't think that would be in her style."

"I'm gonna have to agree with Bubbles here," Ricardo said. "It's a little out of character for Bridgette to go as Ophelia."

"Anyway, let's stop gawking and go and get Bridgette; I'm sure she's anxious to see us in our costumes." Blossom said.

The group of four soon made it to Bridgette house; Josh, because he was her boyfriend, decided to do the honors and ring the doorbell of his girlfriend's house.

The door opened and out came Bridgette; everyone was looking at her strangely, as they were not expecting the costume she was wearing. It was something she did not bring up or even allude to in the past.

"Wow, Bridgette… THAT'S your costume?" Blossom asked.

Her costume was a little out of character for her: she was going at the 2010 version of the cartoon character, Strawberry Shortcake. She was wearing a pink, beret-like hat with magenta buttons that looked like seeds on top. There was a green appendage on the top that looked like a strawberry leaf. At the base of the hat, there was an emerald-green, cap-like rim extending out over her head, attached to a white strip of fabric on the hat. Her dress was a pale-pink top with short, puffed sleeves with a strawberry on the front, flanked by two, green diamonds. The skirt was pink with magenta spots, akin to strawberry seeds. Bridgette's pants were full-length leggings that were green and white striped, and she was wearing magenta Mary-Jane shoes.

"What? Thought I was gonna go as something else?" Bridgette asked, a smile on her face, as she stepped down and reunited with her friends.

"Wow, Bridgette, if I'd known you were going as Strawberry Shortcake, I would have gone as Huckleberry Pie!" Josh said, smiling, as he thought his girlfriend looked cute in her costume.

"I wanted to flip my script this time around," Bridgette said. "After all, you did, going as 'Hamlet'…"

Josh blushed, as he held his skull in one hand and his candy bag in another.

"I guess you're right," Josh said. "So, we'd better get going; we can't be late to pick up Cody."

"Good idea…" Luke said, as he and the rest of the group started to go and head over to Cody's house.

Cody, meanwhile, was working hard and getting his costume together. He took out his fake beard that he was going to put on for the costume. However, when he went to go to the mirror, he noticed that his chest was a little hairier than normal, and he immediately made a dash for the window.

"No, no, no…" Cody said, freaking out; he saw the moon going up quite quickly, as if going a few inches in the sky per second, and this made Cody quite worried.

He ran back to the mirror and saw that his fingernails became claws. He looked in the mirror and saw that his wolf ears came back.

"Oh, crap, no…" Cody shouted, as he looked back at his chest and saw some of the pink hair he had as a werewolf was coming back.

Cody then started to feel the pain of the transformation occur. However, once the next few seconds passed, Cody looked up and saw that there was not much of a change, minus the ears and the fur. However, as he breathed a sigh of relief and then smiled, he paled.

"Crap…! Crap, crap, crap…" Cody said, as he came to the mirror and saw that he grew fangs. He got an idea. "Maybe I can cover this up…"

He dashed into his closet, ditched the fake beard, and slipped on a shirt and some shorts, put on some shoes, and got out his flashlight and candy bucket.

"I hope this will do it…" Cody said, as he looked into the mirror again and grew worried.

Immediately after getting his 'costume' under control, the doorbell rang, and he tensed up. Cody then took a deep breath and then he made his way to the door; he relaxed a bit and then opened it to see his friends, all looking at him oddly.

"Cody… Why are you a wolf?" Blossom asked.

"Weren't you going as a heavy metal rocker or something?" Ricardo inquired; he was suspicious on the change of costume, as well.

"Calm down," Cody said, trying to put on a good act. "I decided to change my mind at the last minute. Besides, none of this is real, anyway…"

Cody felt that it would not that be big of a deal when it came to that night; because it was Halloween, Cody was hopeful that everyone would think of it as just a costume, and he would be able to pass it off as one, as well. Cody managed to look Bubbles in the eyes with a smile; he noticed she was looking at him in concern and he felt his heart pang.

Everyone knew that Cody was anxious about something, and they had a pretty good idea of what it was that was bothering Cody.

As they started to trick-or-treat, the group tried to focus on the trick-or-treating while keeping an eye on Cody and keeping his triggers under control.

Bubbles used her free hand to hold Cody's hand, and she noticed the claws on his hands. She knew it was not part of the costume, but she decided not to bring it up. Feeling his girlfriend's hand on his own, Cody managed to relax with her around. He smiled and blushed happily.

"Awesome, I got a few Kit-Kat! One of my favorites!" Ricardo said, as he came back with some candy from one of the first houses they landed at.

"Tootsie-Pops! Cherry ones, too!" Blossom said, elated; she loved cherry tootsie pops.

"Nice, I got M+M's!" Bridgette said, happily.

'Okay, so far so good…' Cody thought, as he tried to make sure that he stayed calm.

"How cute!" Bubbles said, as she came back from the house. "I got some marshmallow rabbits!"

"Oh, my gosh, that is cute." Cody said, as he smiled.

"What did you get there, Cody?" Luke asked.

"Oh, um…" Cody said, trying to cover it up. "I got some Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in the Pumpkin shapes."

He held one out to show his friends, but the others were more focused on his claws rather than the candy; Cody failed to notice this, but he unwrapped his candy and he opened his mouth before biting it.

Bubbles saw his fangs were not fake; they were very much real. She backed off a bit in surprise, and Cody, seeing this, swallowed his bite, and covered his mouth with his clawed hand in worry that he had scared his girlfriend.

'Crap, now what? I feel like I'm about to lose control of my werewolf side any minute now…' Cody thought, before trying to calm down.

Luke and Blossom huddled together; Blossom said, "So long as we keep Cody calm until the moon is either covered by clouds or is going down, I think we'll be okay…"

"You never know…" Luke said, a little nervous.

After a few hours, the moon started to descend, and the rest of the gang managed to relax a bit; the transformation Cody was undergoing was starting to die down. His ears started to get smaller, but while this occurred, his fangs were still present, and his claws were still there.

The gang soon hit another house, and they were waiting in line; there were little kids and elementary-school kids in line, with a wide range of costumes, ranging from ninjas to fairies, and everything else in between. Bubbles was holding Cody's hand into her free hand to give him something to help him relax. Cody smiled and blushed as he gently pulled Bubbles towards him.

Blossom and the others were in the back of the line, waiting for the rest of the kids to get their candy and leave. They tried to keep their tenseness down, in order not to provoke Cody. They knew one of Cody's triggers was anxiety or anger. They also knew that whenever Bubbles was hurt or in the equation where she was hurt… watch out.

"Looks like, so far so good…" Cody said, trying to breathe and saw some of his transformation was dying down.

However, Bridgette shuddered a bit, and everyone looked at her. When Bridgette shuddered out of nowhere, they all knew one thing: her sixth sense had just kicked in.

"Trouble?" Blossom asked.

"Yes…" Bridgette said, a little nervous.

Just as if on cue, Bubbles and Cody had left the house and were just about to go and meet up with the group. However, out of the bushes, the Gangreen Gang, all in very unconvincing masks, came out, and they were sneering at Bubbles and Cody. The pair backed up a bit in fright.

"What do you want?" Cody asked, trying to stay calm.

"All your candy!" Ace said, holding out his hand to Bubbles, gesturing to her to hand over all of her candy.

"No!" Bubbles said, as she hid the basket behind her back and started to back away.

"Oh, no you don't!" Ace shouted, as he shoved Bubbles, and Arturo snatched the basket.

Bubbles not only fell to the ground, she landed in a mud puddle, causing her to not only be hurt, but also to be all dirty.

"Ow…" Bubbles said, but refusing to cry.

Seeing this, Cody's eyes widened a bit, and then he turned to the Gangreen Gang and started to growl, as if he were a dog. His teeth were showing, and his fangs started to grow again. His eyes were bulging, turning red with no pupils, and soon, his ears started to get bigger again.

"Uh-oh…" Buttercup said.

"No kidding!" Blossom said.

"You hurt my girlfriend… My precious little girlfriend… NOW PAY WITH YOUR LIVES!" Cody hollered, but it sounded as if two people were talking at the same time; his own voice, and the voice of the werewolf.

The Gangreen Gang were looking at the scene in fear; they had no idea what was going on, nor were they aware of previous events regarding Cody's werewolf side to him. They were all pretty spooked, and they all started sweating, and backing up in fear.

"Oh, no…" Bubbles said, worried about her boyfriend.

"Everyone clear out!" Bridgette shouted, and then everyone, minus the rest of the team, ran off in response; they were all pretty scared, but they thought that it was just something for the holiday.

A cloud of dark energy soon surrounded Cody, and everyone looked on as they were all worried about what was about to happen: Cody's transformation was about to be full.

The cloud soon disappeared and once again, in Cody's place was his werewolf form, but because it was Halloween, his metallic legs were spiked more and it was all black, and his face was a little scarier than before; his face was a little darker, muscular, and there were dark lines all over it.

"Not again…" Blossom said, backing up, and going to Luke's side.

Cody got on his hind legs and roared in anger and hatred towards the Gangreen Gang.

"This is trouble…" Ricardo said.

"You're telling me! This is beyond trouble!" Buttercup shouted, waving her arms.

Cody leaped at Ace, and snatched the candy bag back into his hand; Cody's claws left pretty deep scratch wounds on Ace's hand. Ace hollered in pain at the sight of the wounds, and after recovering a bit from the pain, he managed to breathe.

"Gangreen Gang, get him!" Ace hollered.

Big Billy made a dash for Cody, with Arturo, Ivy, and Grubber coming at him as well. Cody, losing complete control of his senses, grabbed Big Billy by the arm, his claws digging into Billy's skin, causing it to bleed.

"Watch the claws, you oaf!" Billy shouted, but Cody failed to listen.

Cody merely threw Big Billy over his shoulder like he was just a bath towel; Billy ended up falling onto his stomach onto the pavement behind him.

Ivy tried to massage Cody's arm, but she was a little disgusted by the hair.

"Ugh… Hairy arms… Ever heard of hair removal cream?" Ivy asked, about to try her magic trick, but Cody merely growled in her ear, causing her to flinch.

Cody grabbed her by the waist and threw her across the street, at what seemed to be the speed of light. Cody once again roared in anger.

"Geez, when it comes to Bubbles, Cody will completely lose control…" Josh said, shuddering.

"That, and he looks different than normal," Blossom said. "Must be because it's a full moon…"

Little Arturo was running around in circles before shouting to Cody, "Nya-nya-nya-nya-nya-nya, you can't catch me!"

Arturo started to run around, but Cody got on all fours and sped past Arturo in several circles. Cody then cornered Arturo and then decked Arturo into a lampost, making sure that his head was hit.

"No one hurts Bubbles and gets out of in unscathed… NO ONE!" Cody roared, with two voices speaking in sync.

Bubbles started to get up to try and placate her rampaging werewolf boyfriend, but she was having a hard time because she had hurt her leg a bit.

Grubber tried to transform and fool Cody; Grubber changed into Bubbles herself, and paced in front of Cody.

"Pathetic…" Cody growled before using his leg to kick Grubber in the stomach.

Grubber immediately fell backwards and was out like a light. Cody roared again, looking around to try and take out Ace. However, Big Billy got up and tried at him again.

Billy latched onto Cody from behind, but Cody not only deliberately stab him with the spikes on the back of his tail, but he used his arms to take Billy by the oblique muscles and he tossed him over his back, and Billy landed head-first into a brick wall.

"EEEK!" Bubbles screamed, catching Cody's attention.

"Don't move!" Ace shouted, holding Bubbles closer to him, and Ace had a knife on him. "Try anything and blondie gets it!"

"Do you really think something as low as that can stop me? I've taken out your whole gang without a scratch," Cody said, with both voices in tune with him. "You might as well give up. Anyone who messes with Bubbles is asking for fate worse than death."

"Crap, what now…?!" Luke muttered, unsure of how to handle the situation.

Cody immediately used his speed to trap Ace, and then Cody kicked Ace straight into the face, knocking him to the ground. Cody pounced on top of Ace and used his hands to hold him down.

Cody was about to start pounding the crud out of Ace, but as he was lifting his arm…

"STOP! PLEASE!" Bubbles shouted, getting Cody's attention.

Cody immediately turned to Bubbles, and he managed to start calming down.

"Cody, please…" Bubbles said, about to cry. "Stop it… I understand you're angry, but if you keep this up, you could do much more damage than you intend on…"

Cody was still lacking control with his mind, but he managed to get more control than he had earlier; this was probably because the one girl that could get through to him in that state was the one talking to him.

"We need to…" Blossom began, reaching for her compact, but Bridgette stopped her hand.

"Hold it, Blossom," Bridgette said. "Remember, in this state, the only one who can get through to him is Bubbles. We need to leave it to her…"

Bubbles was trying to breathe, not about to cry, and she said, "Cody… Please stop this. I know you're only doing this because you love me, but you're taking your anger out and going too far. You need to pull it together."

"You're too important to me," Cody said. "I can't let these guys get out of this unhurt."

"They're hurt enough as it is," Bubbles begged. "Please…"

Cody let go of Ace and started roaring and reeling in pain. He was not sure what was going on, but Cody managed to speak a few words.

"Bubbles… I… I… GRAAAAAAHHH!" Cody hollered; as the moon started to get lower in the sky, Cody's Black Z Rays also began to die down.

Cody's transformation reversed long enough for him to regain his power belt. He ran around the corner of the building to avoid being seen as he started to change back into a human.

"There's only one way to get rid of this…" Cody began, his voice back to normal. He grabbed his compact.

"Musical Baron!" Cody declared, as he started his dance.

Cody transformed, amongst a dark blue background with royal blue music notes. Cody showed an open-mouth smile with his teeth showing. He pretended to give himself a hug as he formed a royal blue vest with a dark blue 'P' on one lapel. He shuffled his feet in a rhythmic fashion, forming royal blue pants. Cody adjusted his blue pants, forming a black belt with a royal blue belt buckle with a dark blue 'P' in the middle. Cody did a back spring, forming black, fingerless gloves. Cody then did a round off and formed his black shoes with royal blue trim, and he spun on his heel in a break-dance fashion before posing, pretending to shred on a guitar.

Baron turned back into a human after activating his White Z Rays. He came back out from behind the building, and seeing all the damage his wolf side caused, Baron looked down in shame.

"Oh, phew…" Blossom said. "That certainly took less time than usual."

"You were right, leaving it to Bubbles," Buttercup told Bridgette. "Nice thinking."

"No problem." Bridgette said, with a smile.

Bubbles hugged her boyfriend, and Baron hugged back, before saying, "What have I done…?"

"We have got to figure out a way to get rid of those Black Z Rays…" Luke said. "Let's go back to the lab; I think we've caused enough trouble as it is…"

Everyone agreed and they all went back to the lab and called it a night for trick-or-treating. They knew full well it was not a good idea after that scene.

The professor ran some tests on Cody, and soon came to a diagnosis.

"We know for a fact that even if we take out the Black Z Rays in you, they'll be there for life, so for now, we just need to focus on making sure your triggers aren't pushed." The Professor said.

"We're already trying all of that, but the thing is, whenever Bubbles gets hurt or he gets angry, nervous, an the like, he loses it," Luke said. "But if not for Bubbles, he'd be a werewolf for a very long time."

"I won't break up with Bubbles!" Cody shouted.

"That isn't what we were implying," Luke said. "But your temper is starting to get in the way. If this keeps up, you could end up doing much worse than what you did to the Gangreen Gang."

"I'll always be there for you, Cody," Bubbles said, as she and Cody shared a hug. "I love you…"

"I feel exactly the same about you, Bubbles," Cody said, giving Bubbles a kiss on the cheek. "I'll never leave you."

"Same to you…" Bubbles said, kissing Cody on the lips.

Bridgette then had an idea and asked, "Professor, remember that inhibitor that you put in Annie's engagement ring?"

"Yes…" The Professor asked.

"Why not trying to make one for Cody to put in his power belt. This way, the only Z Rays that are activated are the White ones." Bridgette suggested.

"That's genius!" Blossom said.

"Why didn't we think of that earlier?" Buttercup said. "Bridgette, you're brilliant!"

"You're the best!" Josh said, kissing Bridgette on the lips.

Bridgette blushed, and then she smiled.

"Great idea!" The Professor said, as he and Ken ducked into the lab to get to work on the inhibitor.

After what seemed like a few hours, the professor came out with a small inhibitor that he put into the power belt compact for Cody.

"This is a great fix," Ken said. "But Cody, remember, you need to keep that inhibitor on you at all times. This way, your emotions won't cause you to change into that werewolf again."

"Thanks, you guys." Cody said, about to cry tears of joy.

Bubbles and Cody shared a kiss, and then black and orange hearts, a few bats, and some spiders surrounded them, because of the theme of the day.

"HAPPY HALLOWEEN!" Everyone shouted, as they cheered for Cody and Bubbles.

And that's a wrap for this chapter! And hey, I posted right on Halloween, too! But why didn't I think of the inhibitor chip earlier? That would have saved Cody and the others A LOT of trouble, wouldn't it? I guess it's because he has BOTH kinds of Z Rays in his body that he can't seem to control it, and the possibility that his White Z Rays were to be inhibited was probably what held me back. Oh, well. That's water under the bridge, cookies that have been eaten.
