Chapter 37

A/N: I AM SO SORRY! Gomenasai mina! I didn't update my other story last week cause I had-still have-a huge writers block! I've been working on it for three weeks! I'm sorry!

In the streets of Crocus, chaos is the only word you can use to sum it all up. Well you could call it what it is, too. Absolute maddness! Mage on mage, on dragon, on dragonic creature, and even dragon on dragon! It's all out of control!

Running through the streets is a group of seven people. Sneaking and racing to get out of harms way. This group includes the now-popular Gray Fullbuster, love-struck Juvia, two elderly women: Porlyusica and Marie, and three people in need of medical care: Aki, Kelli and Rokem. Charged with making sure they all make it out and alive, Gray is the first to peak around every corner and make sure it's clear of danger.

Aki, in her wheelchair, had taken the limp Kelli into her lap, while Juvia is charged with carrying Rokem. But with explosions happening throughout the city, alongside shouts of pain, displeasure and even victory, it's hard to hear the person next to you. Not to forget to mention Natsu's battle in the sky.

Everyone seeing it is thankful for what seems to be his stupidity. Eleven dragons had come from the Eclipse Gate, when they would've prayed for at most seven. One per dragon slayer. They got lucky two of the dragons were persuaded to come on their side. But still, the outlook was bleak.

Natsu was fighting, hopping on buildings, and even on the backs of the two dragons he's facing. Not to forget the maniac of a dragon slayer he also must defeat while evading and attacking the two dragons. Explosions and heat waves hit the city, and the large attacks in the sky rend some people near paralyzed in awe and fear. Flashes of blue, yellow, orange, black and white. The magic powers making many stare in awe, glad to have such a monster on their side.

Stuck staring at the battle being waged above them, the group then notices something peculiar. From the battle beside Natsu's, with the fire and ice dragons, the blue one is steadily becoming larger.

"Shit, run!" Gray shouts, noticing that the dragon coming their way. Fearing for their lives, they began sprinting. Gray spreading an ice sheet on the ground, before giving each of them platforms to ride on.

Natsu sees the ice shine on the ground where Byzanthia is going to land. Finding a quick solution, he leaps off of the back of Mother Glare, much to Rogues confusion.

"Etherion Blast!" He bellows, and enough people below hear him to get a large audience as a large, powerful, dominantly blue beam bursts from the soles of his feet. The people who had been at the Tower of Heaven stare in complete shock, remembering when that power struck the tower all those years ago. Erza the only one who somewhat understands why Natsu can use such a power, but still shocked that he still had it in him after all these years.

With the boost, he easily hits the ground before Byzanthia, and shocks Gray and his small group as they see him create a shield of all sorts of magic intertwined. The dome is mainly made up of the etherion power he had used just a moment ago exactly like the one he used back during the games when they fought as Wizard Saints. But a thin layer of white and dark magic as well as black and yellow lightning, and fire also reinforce the shield.

The explosion is large, destroying surrounding buildings and rendering people nearby speechless, blown away-literally-by its size. Rokem jolts awake from the large explosion, struggling in Juvia's grip for a few moments before calming down slightly. Rokem freezes when he sees the large creature, a scream getting lodged in the poor boys throat. But as soon as he sees Natsu he calms down, gripping the arms around him tightly, staring at Byzanthia in confusion.

The dragon lay slumped against the barrier, breathing heavily. Blood oozing from many wounds, and obviously on the loosing side in his battle against Atlas Flame. Cancelling the barrier, Natsu looks behind him to see everyone-keeping his gaze on Aki and Rokem slightly longer-looking at him in relief, or in Gray's case, guilt. Turning back towards the dragon, Natsu's anger seethes. And down also comes Atlas Flame, Jericho, Mother Glare and her rider: Rogue.

"Gray, get them away from here." Natsu orders, turning a harsh glare towards the dragons.

"Natsu-"

"Uncle, leave Byzanthia to me." Natsu cuts the fire dragon on, steeling his gaze on Mother Glare and the hot-headed Jericho. Those two were ready to pounce any second. And he needed to be ready for it.

"That's too much, even for the son of Igneel!" The dragon protests, but then stops as Natsu gives him a brief look that said it all. People he cared deeply for had almost died, and he is at the end of his patience now. Barely-suppressed magic bubbles under his skin, he needs at least three dragons to fight to let it all out. Atlas knew if he was there he'd only get in the way.

"Leave Byzanthia to me." The pinkette repeats.

"Very well. But first replenish your strength." And with that the fire dragon slayer eats some of Hell's Flames before Atlas flies off to find another opponent.

"Now I can really let loose." Natsu says, cracking his knuckles, the only thing he cares about right now is destroying the three dragons and mage in front of him.

An explosion rocks the entire city, one so grand and topped all others by far. The mini earthquake makes the ground tremble and the buildings shake, and weak-kneed people finally fall to the ground in misery and fear. People had become worried when the battles in the sky had ceased, but they were to busy with their own opponents to stop and think on it. Now the answer was clear.

The battle is now in the city. You could see the fire spike up alongside other forms of magic, hear the dragons roar in pain, the battle cries, the tears being shed as people wailed, in fear or worry for one another. The chaos throughout the city is never-ending.

"Come here, you big brute." Gajeel growls, he had activated his dragon force earlier in the battle, and now had scales covering his entire body, as well as spiked, metal shoulder blades and black designs also decorating him.

"Big brute-how dare you! I shall crush you!"

"Gajeel, that might be a bit much..." Levy says, trying to be heard over everything going on around them.

"Giihee. Yep." He grins deviously, slamming his fists together. "Earth's Steely Revenge!" He shouts, purple energy flaring around him. "Earth's Revenge-Minerals Call; SPEAR!" He shouts, holding his hand up as a spear seems to materialize in it. "Take this, you bastard!" He shouts, throwing the item, the dragon goes to swat it away, but his claw is stopped just in time by a large rock wall.

It pierces the dragon in the side of the neck, and with it a roar escapes its mouth, holding fury and shock, but the roar dwindles down to a airy breath, blood spraying all over its side and onto the ground. The spear had hit and artery, it was only a matter of time now.

The dragon, realizing its time is almost up, decides to say its final words as it slumps to the ground. It's eye has a small shine of purple that passes over it, and the pupil dilates for a moment, after this it scoffs slightly.

"To think... I'd be released from that spell... a little too late..." It manages out, before turning glazed-over eyes toward the Fairy Tail mage that had taken it down."You... are a true... Dragon Slayer..." And with that, another dragon is down.

Gajeel turns to Jura, panting as he gives a smirk, his only form of a smile.

"Thanks." He says gruffly, the Wizard Saint just tilts his head in recognition, before speaking up.

"The battle is long from over now." The rock mage says, turning to see more explosions. "How many dragons are left?"

"Well, if eleven came through... then at most ten."

"Nah, Salamander got two on our side." Gajeel says to Levy,"So at most eight more we gotta kill."

As this goes on, Wendy and Aluna fly through the air, before spotting a certain group, racing through the streets.

"Grandma, down there!" Wendy points, and the dragon nods before swooping down. The group freezes upon seeing the giant beast, but their fear is short-lived as soon as Wendy comes into view. "It's okay guys! She's on out side! This is-"

"I can introduce myself, Wendy-dear." The dragon cuts-off the slayer. "I am the Sky Dragon Queen; Aluna." She says to the group below.

"These are my friends, grandma." Wendy says, motioning to the group.

"Gray Fullbuster." Gray gives a small bow, thinking it appropriate to a queen. "This is-" He waves his hand out to the group, but is soon grappled onto by a certain water woman.

"Juvia Fullbuster!" She shouts in glee, but Gray just shakes her off.

"She's Juvia Lockster." Gray continues,"Then there's Marie, Porlyusica-"

"You... have a mighty illness, don't you, small one." Aluna interrupts Gray, turning to the woman in the wheelchair.

"Ah, yes." The woman nods,"I was cursed by a demon."

"Would you come with me?" This catches them all off-guard. What would a dragon want with her? And not only that, but with everything that was going on, now was not the time! "I know in this may be strange and during a moment of crisis that's rather foolish of me to say, but I will not change what I said." Aki stares wide-eyed before glimpsing at the large explosions and the seeing of the tail of a dragon. That had to be Natsu's battle. She then looks back to the blue dragon who had come to their side.

"I will come."

"What is your name, small one?" Aluna asks as she picks up the human and takes flight, leaving the girl that had been on her lap with the chair.

"Aki."

The group just stares in awe, before realizing exactly what had just happened. A dragon had just flown off with Aki in the middle of a huge battle. Wendy turns to the group before sighing.

"Anyone can hop in the wheelchair, I'll push." They put Rokem in with Kelli before continuing on. As the group travels through the streets, a burst of water breaks through the houses in front of them, and the attack slowly dies down. The group stares in shock as they come upon a clearing.

The entire ground is covered in a layer of water, while Laxus glares at the blue dragon in the middle.

"Shit..." Gray hisses under his breath, bringing the group into one of the buildings for cover.

"What's wrong, Gray-sama?"

"We can't get around that battle, but it's dangerous to stay."

"Then we should help." Wendy speaks up. "It's a water dragon, you two should go. I'll stay with the group." Wendy pushes the two out. "Go on, don't worry." Nodding to each other, Gray and Juvia race out into the clearing, the two battling pausing for a moment.

"What're you doing here?" Laxus growls, not liking someone else joining in on his battle.

"More humans?"

"We're here to help. I have a feeling we'll be useful." Gray says, and Laxus takes a moment before nodding. A water and ice mage battling against a water dragon. They would be useful.

"Don't drag me down." Is all Laxus says as the three jump into battle once more.

"ROGUE!" Sting shouts to his partner. The two are having a hard time facing their dragons. And they want-need, to end this. "Lets do a Finisher Unison Raid!"

"A Finisher...? We've never done that before!" Rogue shouts back while dodging the red dragons claw.

"There's a first time for everything! Now come on!" Sting grounds out.

"We need time!" Rogue replies, but as the purple dragon swipes a tail at them, multiple what looks like glass orbs, line along the tail and stop it.

"Time, you say?" A voice floats through the air, and into the clearing comes a dark haired woman with a body that would be the envy of all other girls and make boys drool. "Time is what I know best." (See what I did there?)

"Ultear!" The two shout out in relief. Thank god Ultear was there! One of their strongest mages. But...

"Hmph! Don't forget about me!" Another female comes up beside the time mage, her pink hair being a distinctive feature. "Do that again and I'll ruin you. Don't forget that I was one of the strongest of Grimoire Heart!"

With both Ultear and Meredy, we will have enough time for the Raid! Sting mentally cheers. "Could you two hold off the dragons for a bit?" Sting pleads, worried they may decline. Meredy turns to them before flashing a smile while Ultear smirks.

"Lets go!" Meredy turns to her mother figure.

"We can get you all the time you need." Ultear adds on, preparing her orbs, a cold aura surrounding her. I may need to use more than my time magic.

Meanwhile, Cobra is busy facing off against his own dragon, not doing a good job by himself, might I add. Ichiya was useless since it had no nose. And Cobra couldn't take the Blue Pegasus' mages constant bickering.

"Need help?" A deeper voice asks, and Cobra leaps, flipping backwards in an arch, dodging the tail swipe from the Rock Dragon. Cobra smirks as he knows who has just come into his battle, and could actually be helpful.

"Don't think too highly of yourself, Wizard Saint." Cobra replies. "But I won't stop you from joining." Jura shakes his head before bringing two large rock fists and slamming them on the dragons head, driving it into the ground and making a large crater.

Back with Laxus and co., Gray gets into a lotus position, much to Laxus' irritation.

"What the fuck are you doing?!" Laxus growls, he had told them not to get in his way. And he was doing a damn well job at being a burden.

"I need some time, I'm gonna summon another ancient ice creature." Gray elaborates, before slamming his palms into the ground. Ice spreads out across the entire area suddenly, even covering nearby houses. The chill making their breaths come out in clouds and making it harder to stand strong. "When I tell you, strike the ice."

"Don't go ordering me around!" Laxus growls back, dodging another attack from the dragon while Juvia just lets it go through her water body.

"I'll do it, Gray-sama!" She says, hearts in her eyes. Gray looks at her with an apologetic look before sighing.

"Hate to say it, but Laxus' magic would probably work better with what I'm gonna do..." She pouts at this, but before she can linger on the thought the dragon is back in action. Growling and snarling at them as it continues its assault.

"This better be good!" Laxus shouts back to the stripper, sending bolts towards the large creature. The battle continues and Gray pours all his concentration into the summoning. He opens his eyes to gaze at them, and they're surrounded by an pale, icy blue, which shines around his iris'.

He puts his hand out towards the place where the center of the ice is, and it begins to retract, going to that one spot. The people battling the dragon realize this as the friction returns with the ground and they can begin to go more on the offense with the water dragon. Not noticing the large pile of snow building up in the center.

"Laxus-!" Gray shouts, the lighting mage turning his head slightly to see the ice mage. "Now!" A bolt of electricity hits the pile of snow after a few seconds, and almost all is still as they watch the snow vibrate. Then it begins to shake even more, before something stands from inside it.

It's mostly made up of snow, icicles protruding out from its back, and sharp ice teeth. Glowing yellow eyes peering back at its summoner. It's large, hunched over form looming over the battlefield. Electricity sparks in the back of its throat and all around the icicles, even inside them.

"Well damn, that might be useful." Laxus admits, although halfheartedly.

A/N: So, I'm obviously not doing the classic get-rid-off-all-enemies-at-the-same-time thing. And, if you didn't notice, which is impossible, this thing is so off-mark from cannon. Of course I steal things from it from time to time.

Hm... I gotta recommend a FanFic... I got it! It's a FanFic I like called Fairy High-Fire Pain. Warning, this isn't your Rainbows and Unicorns fic, it has some harsh stuff in it. What I'm saying is if you aren't okay with abuse FanFics, mainly child abuse, I advise not reading. But, as sick as I am, I did read and like the story. But I do take things such as that very seriously in the real word, so don't get me wrong it's a thing that must be stopped. So go check it out, it really isn't that bad, and I love the author's stories. No doubt will recommend more. If you wanna check it out, it's a favorite of mine. Oh, The author is Midnight1234.
