A/N: I do npt own Taylor Swift's Shake It Off. I decided to use it because of the cheerleading part it has in there and figured, why not use the sone.
Chapter Thirty-Six: Game Days & Rivals
Soon it was Friday and Angela was up and ready for school yet not for the her first game. She got up and got a shower and did her hair and everything else that she needed to do. Then came time for her to get dressed. And seeing as it was a game day, she had to get dressed in her cheerleading uniform. Something she wasn't looking forward to. Once dressed, she looked at herself in the mirror and knew one thing.
"Grandma is going to want a picture.", she said as she left her bedroom to find Clarissa was waiting for her in the living room. "Not one word.", she said before Clarissa busted out laughnig.
"I never thought I'd see you like this.", Clarissa laughed.
"You're lucky you're my friend.", Angela said as they left their apartment and headed downstairs to the second floor where Kadma was waiting along with Elyon, Cassidy, Drake, and Aldarn.
"Well don't you look nice.", Drake said with a smirk.
"Don't even start.", Angela said.
"This take me back.", Kadma said as she pulled out a camera. "I must have some pictures!"
"Knew it.", Angela said as Kadma began to take some pictures.
After taken about seven pictures, Angela was ready to go when Hay Lin showed up yo which Kadma wanted to take some pictures of Angela and Hay Lin together seeing as it reminded her of herself and Yan Lin when they were younger. Of course Hay Lin didn't mind. After Kadma took some pictures of them, they said their goodbyes and headed for school. Once at school, Angela parked her SUV and she and the others headed onto the schoolyard where the others were waiting.
"Wow! I never thought I'd see you as a cheerleader.", Will said with a grin.
"You and me both.", Angela said when Cornelia and Irma took a picture of Angela with their cell phones. "Hey!"
"This will be something I'll never foget.", Cornelia said as she put her phone away.
"Plus, I can crack a joke or two about this when you're back to normal.", Irma said with a smirk.
"Just when you think they've actually changed.", Clarissa said. "What's next? You two going to crack a joke or two about me and Phobos? Huh!?"
"What!? No!", Cornelia said. "We wouldn't do that!"
"We just want to have some fun with Angela as a cheerleader.", Irma said.
"Right. You say that now, but sooner or later something will slip.", Clarissa said not trusting Cornelia and Irma.
"We promise we won't.", Irma said.
"We'll see.", Clarissa said as she walked off.
"I truly hope you two keep that promise.", Elyon said sadly as she and the others walked off.
"Geez! We have a little fun and they think we killed someone.", Cornelia said as she and Irma headed inside the school.
"Don't sweat it.", Irma said. "They'll see that we're only having simple fun and won't go to far."
"Oh yeah? What about Tony?", Cornelia questioned.
"Don't worry.", Irma said. "I called him and told him that if any of the others question why he's here, that he should tell them that he heard about the game and he and Peter decided to come cheer their ld school on during their first game of the year."
"Clever.", Cornelia said. "Now you just have to hope the other buy it."
"Good point.", Irma said. "We can always play dumb when we see Tony."
"Like the others will buy that.", Cornelia said. "I say that we don't be around when Tony and Peter show up."
"Here's hoping.", Irma said when the bell rang. "And now it's off to get some breakfast."
Later that day it was time for the game and a lot of people showed up. From students to teachers and other adults people filled the bleachers. On one side were those for Sheffield and on the other side were those for the other team. Who believe it or not were from Fadden Hills. It was the Sheffield Sea Slugs vs the Fadden Hill High Falcons. Of those on the Sheffield side were Kadma and Yan Lin along with Halinor, Joe, Jun Lin, and John which made things a bit nervous for Angela as she and her fellow cheerleaders came out to do their first cheer. Also there was Taranee's parents and to her surprise Peter. And with Peter was Tony who was more than happy to see Angela.
"What is he doing here?", Angela questioned.
"I have no idea.", Hay Lin said.
"I have a pretty good idea.", Taranee said as she looked at Irma and Cornelia who did their best to look innocent.
"So what brings you two here?", Will asked Peter and Tony as they were sitting in the bleachers waiting for the game to get started.
"Well it is the first football game of the year.", Peter said. "Tony and I were on the team during our time in high school. So were here to cheer them on. Plus, when mom told me that Taranee was a cheerleader, I just had to see my little sister do her thing."
"And the fact that Angela is a cheerleader is quite interesting.", Tony said as he turned his attention to Angela as she stood with the other cheerleaders.
"Now. Now. You do know that she has a boyfriend.", Cassidy said.
"But is he here?", Tony questioned.
"You're a real class act, pal.", Elyon said in annoyance.
"All is fair in love and war.", Tony said to which Elyon rolled her eyes.
"Fancy meeting you here.", Peter said to Clarissa as she walked by him.
"Uh-huh.", Clarissa said as she continued on her way.
"Have a seat here.", Peter offered a seat that was next to him.
"Thanks but I'm sitting with Aldarn, Cassidy, and Drake.", Clarissa said.
"Aw come on. It'll give us a chance to get to know each other.", Peter said.
"Sorry, but I don't think the guy I'm dating would like me sitting with another guy.", Clarissa said.
"So you're still dating, huh?", Petet questioned. "If it were me, we'd be a couple right now."
"And yet it isn't.", Clarissa said as she went to sit with her friends.
"Not yet.", Peter said to himself. "But that's going to change real soon."
Now on the field, the cheerleaders were ready to do their first cheer as the football team came running out onto the field.
"Okay, girls! Ready!", Sondra said.
"Okay!", they all said together. "Go Sea Slug! Go Sea Slugs! Go bust them in their mugs! Go Sea Slug! Go Sea Slugs! Go sweep them under the rugs!", they cheered getting the crowd going.
"Wow! That really got the crowd going!", Taranee said.
"Who knew?", Angela questioned.
And so the game went on, Fadden Hills kept a fair lead, but Sheffield wasn't giving up. Soon it was halftime came and the teams headed into the locker rooms for a rest and to talk strategy for the second half. This also gave people time to go to the bathroom and get something to eat from the food trucks that were allowed there to sell some food. As the people came back to take their seats, the cheerleaders from Fadden Hills were out on the field doing a routine which got some cheers from both sides impressed with their routines. Once they were done, they got off the field allowing the Sheffield cheerleaders to do their thing as they walked out onto the field.
"Any idea what they got planned?", Cassidy asked Elyon.
"No idea.", Elyon said. "From what Hay Lin told me it was something Angela thought up."
"Really?", Kadma questioned surprised by this.
"Now this just got interesting.", Yan Lin said.
"This should be good.", Cornelia whispered to Irma.
"Let's see what little Angela can do.", Irma said.
"You all ready?", Angela asked her fellow cheerleaders. "Nothing has changed. It's the same as we practiced."
"Then let's do it!", Sondra said ready to give the routine they practiced a shot.
Angela then turned to the comentator's box and...
"Hit it!", she yelled.
Up in said box, was Martin who knw what Angela was talking about as he turned the music on. Once he did this Taylor Swift's Shake It Off began to play from the speakers which got those who knew the song cheering as the Sheffield cheerleaders began their routine. At first it seems like a normal routine with some kicks and a flip or two, but then they guys began to bust out some moves while the girls did some moves together. From doing the Booty Wind-Up while turning around to the Drop it low, the girls were getting their groove on while the guys were bust ont some break dancing moves getting cheers from the crowd. Soon it came close to the end of the song and some of the cheerleaders split off into five different smaller groups while the rest fo them were still dancing. In the five groups were four guys each and one girl. The girl in the center group was Sondra seeing as she was the captian. The group on her right had Angela and on her right had Hay Lin. Now on Sondra's left the group had Taranee while on her left had a girl who was new as well. As the music neared it's end each of the girls were tossed up in the air by two of the boys in their groups. As they were in the air, the girls did a backflip while spinning and came down and caught by the other two boys in their groups. Of course, Eric was one of the boys who caught smiling Hay Lin who, like the other girls, did a pose as the music ended getting cheers from the crowd as the cheerleaders left the field.
"Wow!", Irma said. "Okay. That was pretty good."
"How much did it hurt saying that?", Cornelia asked her.
"You have no idea.", Irma said.
In another section of the bleachers, some of the adults were talking while waiting for the game to continue.
"Hello, Anna.", Kadma said as Anna lair was trying to get to her seat.
"Hello, Ms. Vandfers.", Anna said with a kind smile that Kadma returned. "How are you?"
"I'm fine.", Kadma said. "How about you?"
"I'm doing well.", Anna said. "I'm here with Tom and Chris. It's one of those times Tom has off to see a game. By the way, any chance of Angelo returning anytime soon? I ask because of how well he was able to help Chris with math, and I just might need him to help him again."
"Well Angelo is going to be away for a while.', Kadma said. "But my niece, Angela is good with math. I'm sure she'll be more than glad to help. I can ask her after the game."
"Thank you so much!", Anna said.
Soon the game ended with Fadden Hills winning by a field goal. It was a good game, but you can't win them all. As for the Sheffield team, the player who tried to hit on Angela on the first day of school came up to her and...
"What's up, babe?", the blonde haired boy asked. "You were hot out there during halftime."
"Ummmmmm... thanks, Rick.", Angela said. "Shouldn't you be hitting the locker room?"
"Yeah, but I had to see you first.", Rick said with a sly smile.
"Right.", Angela said knowing what Rick meant. "Listen, Rick. Like I told you before, I'm not interested. I already have somebody. So it's not going to happen. I'm sorry.", she said as she turned to talk to Hay Lin.
"Now why you playing hard to get?", Rick asked as he wrapped an arm around Angela's shoulder and reached down a squeezed one of her breast surprising Angela and Hay Lin who saw him do it.
Seeing this, Tony was about to jump from the bleachers and beat up Rick when Angela suddenly grabbed Rick's grabby hand and flip him over her shoulder slamming him on his back.
"Oooooooooooh!", some people said as they saw what happened.
Rick then tried to get up only for Angela to hold him down by stepping on his chest with her right foot.
"Stay away from me and any othe rgirl who turns you down!", Angela said with a glare. "Got it!?"
"Y-Yeah! Yeah! I got it!", Rick said not wanting to get Angela any madder.
Angela then removed her foot from Rick's chest allowing him to get up and head for the locker room. As he ran off, Angela got some cheers from the other cheerleaders and those who saw what happened to which Angela scratched the back of her head and flashed a nervous smile. After a while, people began to clear out and head home while others hung around to wait for their kids that were either football players or cheerleaders. Which brings us to Angela as her current and future family members came up to her to congragulate her on her first game she cheered at.
"Nice job out there.", John said.
"The cheering or when I flipped Mr. Grabby Hands?", Angela joked.
"Both.", John said with a grin.
"I think you handled yourself quite well.", Kadma said. "And your routine was done well."
"Thanks.", Angela said. "But I had a lot of help from the others.", just as Anna came up with Chris.
"Ah yes! Angela I'd like you to meet Anna Lair and her son Chris.", Kadma said.
"Hi!", Anna said as she and Angela shook hands.
"Hi!", Angela said playing along.
"Kadma tells me that you're good with math.", Anna said.
"Yes.", Angela said knowing where this was going.
"Well I was wondering if you could help my son with math.", Anna said. "He had some trouble with it last year and I want to play it safe for this year."
"Okay. Sure.", Angela said. "I can come and help him on days I don't have practice."
"Thnk you.", Anna said. "This means a lot."
"No problem.", Angela said before looking down at Chris with a smile. "And I shall be seeing you Monday.", she said with a smiel that Chris returned with a slight blush before leaving with his mother.
"I'm ready to go home and get some rest.", Hay Lin said as she leaned against her Aunt Jun who grinned.
"You and me both.", Taranee said. "Getting tossed in the air was fun though."
"Seeing that scared me half to death!", Theresa said. "But I have to admit that took some courage."
"Thanks.", Taranee said.
"You rocked, sis!", Peter said to his little sister who smiled.
"You were amazing, Angela", Tony said.
"Ummmmm... thanks.", Angela said wanting to put some distance between her and Tony.
"Time to go home, kiddo.", John said knowing that Angela didn't want Tony near her.
As they walked off, Tony just stood there knowing that going along with Cornelia and Irma's plan was his only shot at being with Angela.
"Looks like I don't have a choice.", he said as Peter walked up to him.
"Don't sweat it, man.", Peter said. "Next month we'll get our chance."
"I hope you're right, my friend.", Tony said as they left the football field.
Soon Monday rolled around and the girls met up on the school grounds befroe going inside. It was then that Alchemy came up to the group with a newspaper.
"Check it out! Angela made the paper!", Alchemy said as she showed the front page that had a picture of Angela flipping Rick onto his back.
"Say what!?", Angela said as she read the bold letters. "Kung-Fu cheerleader sends grabby footballer to the ground."
"Wow!", Hay Lin said. "I didn't notice that there were people from the paper there."
"Who knew?", Will questioned when Rick came walking up to them with what looked like his father. "Uh-oh! We got company."
"Well?", the man said to Rick.
"I'm sorry for what I did to you on Friday.", Rick said.
"And!", the man said.
"It was wrong of me to treat you that way and I shall be better to women.", Rick said.
"Better.", the man said. "Now get to class."
"Yes, sir.", Rick said as she headed inside the school.
"I apologize for my son's actions towards you, young lady.", Rick's father said. "And if he tries anything like that again, feel free to give him a taste of what you gave him on Friday. Have a nice day.", he said before leaving.
"I didn't see that coming.", Angela said as the bell rang. "Off to breakfast."
"So you two ready for your first game?", Cassidy asked Maddie and Elyon.
"You bet!", Elyon said.
"Same here.", Maddie said as she and Elyon were wearing their volleyball shirts.
"And I'm sure that Uriah will be there cheering you on as well.", Irma teased as she walked off with Cornelia.
"Oh brother.", Maddie said. "She just won't quit."
"Don't worry about her.", Elyon said. "Let's just focus on our first game and hope we can pull off a win."
"Don't worry.", Maddie said. "It'll take a lot more than Irma poking fun at to throw me off my game."
As for Irma, she was on her phone talking to a certian someone.
"So you'll be here for the game?", Irma questioned. "Good! See you later, Danny.", she said before hanging up her cell phone.
"Danny and Uriah at the game?", Cornelia questioned. "Nice! One will catch the other talking to Maddie after the game and we all know where that will lead to."
"One heck of a fight!", Irma said with a smirk as they headed for the lunch hall to get a bite to eat. "This is going to be good!"
Later that day, after school, Elyon and Maddie were in the gym dressed in their uniforms along with the rest of their teammates who were ready to play against the other school that came to play. Among their friends, Maddie's parents were there to cheer them on. And much to Elyon's surprise her adoptive parents, Miriadel and Alborn, who were glamoured were there also. And of course Uriah and Danny were there to cheer Maddie on. Something she didn't need yet ignored them and played her best with her teammates and won the game. After the game and getting dressed to head on home, Maddie and Elyon headed to the nearby vending machine to get something to drink when Danny came up to them and...
"Nice game, babe.", he said to Maddie.
"And how did you find out about the game to begin with?", Maddie questioned as she opened her soda.
"People talk?", Danny said.
"Uh-huh.", Maddie said. "And how did you find out about me being on the volleyball team to begin with?"
"A little birdie may have told me.", Danny said with a sly smile. "The important thing is that I'm here to cheer you on. Tell me that doesn't impress you."
"Why would that impress me?", Maddie questioned. "You still don't get it, do you? There is no you and me. And there never will be.", she said as she and Elyon turned to walk away from Danny only for Danny to grab Maddie by her arm. "Hey!"
"You know, I'm being real nice here and trying to be a gentleman.", Danny said as he turned Maddie around to face him. "But you keep being all stuck-up and acting like you're better than me. So I suggest that you play nice or else.", he said with a look that said that he wasn't playing around with her.
"Let me go!", Maddie said as she tried to pull herself free.
"Let her go!", Elyon demanded as she walked up to them.
"Beat it, Blondie!", Danny snapped as he pushed Elyon against the wall knocking her down.
"Hey, Ashcroft!", came a familiar voice.
Danny and Maddie looked to see Uriah walking towards them.
"She said let go!", Uriah said with a look that said he wasn't playing.
"Dunn?", Danny questioned. "What do you want?", he asked with a smirk.
"How about you let the lady go and beat it.", Uriah said. "As you can see, she wants nothing to do with you."
"Why don't you leave me and the lady alone, Dunn.", Danny said. "We're having an important conversation."
"Looks like she's trying to get away from you.", Dunn said. "And who can blame her?", he questioned with a smirk.
"You think you can take me, Dunn?", Danny questioned. "Better yet, you think I'm scared of you?"
"I don't know.", Uriah said as a smirk grew on his face. "Are you?"
"Ooooooooh! Now you've dug your own grave!", Danny said as he let Maddie go and walked towards Uriah. "You're done, Dunn!"
"Bring it!", Uriah said ready to fight Danny.
Both boys were ready to fight each other when...
"Hold it right there, young men!", came a familiar voice that stopped both boys in their tracks.
Uriah and Danny turned to see Knickerbocker walking towards then.
"What is going on here?", Knickerbocker questioned.
"Back off, Knickerbocker!", Danny snapped. "I'm not one of your students anymore!"
"That may be, Mr. Ashcroft, but you are on school grounds.", Knickerbocker said. "And causing trouble I might add."
"And what are you going to do about it, old lady?", Danny said as he stepped up to Knickerbocker who didn't back away.
"Have the officers here take care of you.", Knickerbocker said as she pointed behind her with her thumb at the gym where there were still some officers there to make sure everyone left the right way. "Now I suggest that you leave and not come back unless you can act a bit more civil."
Seeing this, Danny turned to leave but not before giving Knickerbocker and Uriah a dirty look. As Knickerbocker walked off, Uriah he walked over to Maddie as she was checking on Elyon.
"You okay?", Maddie asked Elyon as Elyon was rubbing the back of her head.
"Yeah.", Elyon said. "How about you?"
"I'm cool.", Maddie said when Uriah came up to them and offered his hand to Elyon.
"Thanks.", Elyon said as she accpeted his hand.
"Don't mention it.", Uriah said as he helped Elyon up.
"Yeah. Thanks for sticking up for me.", Maddie said.
"Sure thing.", Uriah said.
"Listen.", Maddie said. "I'm only going to say this once. I'm not trying to get with anybody. Okay? But that doesn't mean we can't be friends. Okay?"
"Okay. I can't live with that.", Uriah said as they shook hands.
"Good.", Maddie said.
"Word of advice. Watch yourself when it comes to Danny.", Uriah said. "When he wants something, he'll do just about anything to get it.", he said before walking off.
"Thanks for the warning.", Maddie said to which Uriah waved as he walked off.
"Should we do something about Danny?", Elyon questioned.
"Maybe.", Maddie said. "Not sure yet. Right now, let's go celebrate with our team."
"Don't have to tell me twice.", Elyon said smiling as they went to join up with their teammate.
Watching alll of this from a distance was Irma and Cornelia who were hoping that things turnd out different.
"Well that was a bust.", Cornelia said as they went to get something from the vending machine. "I was hoping for a fight."
"Same here.", Irma said as they each got a soda. "But then Knickerbocker stepped in and ruined it."
"Oh well. There's still Homecoming.", Cornelia said. "Plus, we still have the upcoming swim meet this week. And I already called Peter and told him about it."
"Let's see Clarissa dive well with Peter eyeing her.", Irma said as the two of them went to find the others and hang with them.
Later that week it was time for the swim team's first meet and they were all ready. That is until Peter showed up with Taranee who mouthed an 'Sorry' to Clarissa as she sat with her friends.
"What is he doing here?", Clarissa questioned as she stood with Will and Cassidy. "Never mind.", she said as she saw Cornelia and Irma sit with Peter.
"Those two just won't stop.", Cassidy said. "I know that hurting them won't solve nothing, but I say we still kick their butts."
"Forget about it.", Clarissa said. "If they want to play this game them let them. It's not like they can do any worse."
"You sure about that?", Will questioned. "No one would blame you if you kicked Corny's butt."
"I'm sure.", Clarissa said. "Besides. Peter can look but I don't think he'll try and touch without getting his butt kicked."
"Good point.", Will said as they waited for the compitition to start.
Meanwhile, in the bleachers, Peter couldn't keep his eyes off of Clarissa as she talked with Will and Cassidy.
"Enjoying the view?", Angela questioned sarcasticlly.
"Yes I am.", Peter said to which Taranee shook her head.
"When are you going to move on, Peter?", Taranee asked her brother. "You know she doesn't want to be with you. So just give it up."
"I still have one trick up my sleeve, sis.", Peter said.
"Really now?", Maddie questioned.
"Yep.", Peter said. "And I know that it'll work. If I have to use it.", he said to which Cornelia gave him a quick jab of her elbow warning him to not spill the beans about their plan.
"You know, some would say that you are close to being a stalker.", Alchemy said.
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!", Peter said. "I'm no stalker! I just refuse to give up so easily."
"If you say so.", Alchemy said.
"That wasn't nice, Al.", Cornelia said.
"Neither is how you've been acting.", Alchemy said to her friend just as Aldarn came up to them and took a seat nexr to Drake and another person.
"Did I miss anything?", the glamoured Galhot asked.
"It's just about to begin.", Drake said. "And look who else came.", he said pointing to the man sitting next to him.
"When did you come here?", Aldarn questioned the man.
"Earlier today.", Julian, who was dressed in regular clothing, said. "I figured that I'd be here for Clarissa's first compitition."
"Does she know you're here?", Aldarn asked.
It was then that Clarissa looked up at the bleachers and saw Julian and smiled as she waved to him.
"I believe so.", Julian said as he smiled back while waving to Clarissa.
"You know, I'm surprised that you didn't get here earlier.", Peter said to Aldarn. "With you and Clarissa being close and everything."
"And I'm surprised that you're here with Clarissa wanting nothing to do with you.", Aldarn countered.
"It's a free contry.", Peter said to which Aldarn rolled his eyes in annoyance.
Soon the swim meet began. Both teams were giving it their all with the different races they swam. Soon came the diving compitition in which Clarissa was ready for. Soon it was her turn to dive as she climbed the ladder to the diving platform. Once at the platform she had to dive from, she looked from the pool to her friends before taking a deep breath and diving into the water. When all was said and done, Sheffield's divers had won the diving part of the compitition while the swimmers sadly lost. But it was a good meet. As for Will, Cassidy, and Clarissa, they hit the showers with their team maets and were out to meet up with their friends who were waiting for them. Oh, and Cornelia, Irma, and Peter were there too.
"Sorry you didn't win your race.", Angela said to Will.
"It's cool.", Will said. "I just have to get better."
"Your diving was great!", Aldarn said to Clarissa.
"Indeed.", Julian said. "I was quite impressed."
"Thanks.", Clarissa said with a smile until Peter came walking up to her. "And what are you doing here? As if I already didn't know.", she said as she looked over towards Cornelia and Irma who tried to look innocent.
"Come on now, Clarissa.", Peter said while flashing a smile. "Don't act like you're not happy to see me."
"And who might you be?", Julian questioned.
"Tell me your name and I'll tell you mine.", Peter said as he gave Julian a stern look.
"The name's Julian Hart.", Julian said. "Clarissa's uncle."
"Oh!", Peter said. "Good to meet you, sir. I'm Peter Cook."
"Peter, huh? Clarissa told me about you.", Julian said. "Like how you won't leave her alone with the flirting."
"Well... I... ummmmmmmmmmm.", Peter said not knowing what to say.
"A word of friendly advice, young man.", Julian said. "The more you waste trying to get one thing, the more you miss out on something else. They're are plenty of fish in the sea.", he said as he petted Peter on the back before walking off with Clarissa and the others leaving Peter to think about what he said.
"Well that went well.", Peter said as Cornelia and Irma walked up to him.
"Don't worry.", Cornelia said. "Her uncle is hardly here. Besides. We still have that trump card."
"That you almost gave away.", Irma said. "You have to be careful with what you say around the others. Mainly your sister."
"Why?", Peter questioned. "It's not like any of them can ready minds."
'If you only knew.', the two Guardians thought to themselves.
"Besides. I was careful.", Peter said. "I won't let anything slip. And neither will Tony and Danny. All you have to do is let us know when to do what we have to do and the rest will be history."
"Well it'll be sometime next month.", Cornelia said. "Just make sure you're not busy around Homecoming."
"I'm still surprised that you two are doing this, knowing that your friends will be pissed at you.", Peter said as they exited the building.
"Well you'll have your sister to deal with if you do this.", Irma said.
"Good point.", Peter said. "But if things turn out the way I think they will, then everything will be okay.", he said as he checked his watch. "Listen, I got to go and catch the train back to where I live. Later!", he said before running off.
"Later!", Cornelia and Irma said as they watched Peter run off.
"You know, I feel a bit bad about using Peter and Tony to get back at Clarissa and Angela.", Cornelia said. "Almost."
"What about Danny?", Irma questioned.
"What about him?", Cornelia questioned. "He's a thug. We can simply call the cops on him if he tries anything stupid. Peter and Tony are okay."
"Speaking of Tony, I think I'll have him come by my place tomorrow.", Irma said.
"Why?", Cornelia questioned. "Don't tell me that you like him."
"What!? NO!", Irma said. "My mom asked Angela to tutor Chirs in math. Remember when he did it when he was Angelo?"
"Oh yeah.", Cornelia said. "But what will you tell your parents if you get Tony to come to your place?"
"That he' a friend of Peter's that is helping me with some of my homework.", Irma said.
"You so have to let me know what happens!", Cornelia said as they walked down the street to catch up with the others.
It didn't take them long to catch up with the others, who were at a diner to get something to eat.
"Where have you two been?", Elyon asked.
"Seeing Peter off.", Irma said. "Said that he had to get back to where he was living on campus."
"I don't know why he came here in the first place.", Taranee said. "Oh wait! I do.", she said as she looked over at Cornelia and Irma.
"Don't look at us.", Cornelia said. "He just wanted to knwo when the swim meet was and I told him."
"Riiiiiiight.", Will said.
"It's the truth.", Irma said.
"Well from now on, don't tell him anything.", Taranee said. "Got it?"
"Fine.", Cornelia said. "Mums the word."
It was then that Cornelia and Irma looked at each other with a wink knowing that they still had their other plan in the works. The next day, after school, Angela arrived at the Lairs' home to help tutor Chris. Angela, who was dressed in a pair of black jeans with white sneakers and a red shirt, rung the doorbell only for Irma to answer it.
"Angela.", Irma said in a deadpan tone.
"Irma.", Angela said in a deadpan tone as well.
Suddenly, Irma was pushed out of the way by her brothr who was happy to see Angela.
"Hi!", Chris said smiling.
"Hi, Chris.", Angela said returning the smile before Chris grabbed her hand and pulled her inside. "I take it you're ready to get started.", she grinned.
Soon they were in the kitchen where Chris had his math work set up. He took his seat ready to get started.
"Let's see what you're working with.", Angela said as she leaned down next to Chris to get as better look at Chris' homework. "So you're working with fractions."
"Uh-huh.", Chris said as he looked at Angela out of the corner of his eye.
"Well fractions can be pretty easy when you get the hang of them.", Angela said. "Take this one for example.", she said as she looked at the cookie jar. "This will help.", she said as she went and took a cookie out of the jar. "The problem ask what is 25% of a circle. Well what do you get when you break a cookie down the middle?"
"Ummmmmmmm...", Chris said said trying to think. "You get half!"
"Good.", Angela said. "Now what do you get when you break half of the cookie?"
"Ummmmmmmm...", Chris said said trying to think. "You get 3/4!"
"No.", Angela said. "3/4 is when you have three parts of the cookie. Now take your time and think about it. Try to remember what you learned in school. You break the half of the cookie in half and get..."
"Ummmmmm... 1/4?", Chris questioned hoping he was right.
"Are you sure?", Angela questioned.
"Yes!", Chris said remembering what he learned in school. "You get 1/4."
"And you would be right.", Angela said to which Chris smiled as he wrote the answer down o the worksheet. "Now let's do the next problem."
Soon they were finished with Chris' math work and Angela decided to help him with the rest on his work. After a while Anna came into the kitchen to check on things.
"I see that he got you to help him with the rest of his work.", Anna said with a grin.
"It's not a problem.", Angela said. "He works quick."
"I see.", Anna said as she noticed how Chris looked at Angela.
Suddenly, Irma came into the kitchen with some of her homework along with Tony who was more then happy to see Angela there.
"Irma. Who is your friend?", Anna questioned.
"This is Tony.", Irma said. "He's a friend of Peter's who's here to help me with some of my biology homework."
"I see.", Anna said. "I would of liked it if you told me about this ahead of time."
"Sorry. It was a bit last minute.", Irma said.
"Don't let it happen again.", Anna said as she left the kitchen.
"Homework, huh?", Angela questioned.
"What? Chris is the only one who can have help with homework?", Irma questioned.
"You can always one of the girls to help you.", Angela said.
"They're... busy.", Irma said.
"Right.", Angela said before looking at a smiling Tony. "Just make sure you're here to help Irma."
"Of course.", Tony said. "But it is good to see you again, Senorita.", he said with a smile.
"I have to use the bathroom.", Irma said before winking at Tony.
Once Irma left he kitchen, Tony turned towrads Angela who wasn't in the mood for what Tony had to say.
"I have to make a phone call.", Angela said as she pulled out her cell phone. "Think you can do some of your homework alone, Chris?"
"Sure.", Chris said before Angela left the kitchen.
Once she was out of the kitchen, Chris turned his attention to Tony.
"Listen, pal, I know why you are here.", Chris sid to Tony with a glare. "I overheard my sister calling you last night."
"Oh really?", Tony questioned.
"Yeah.", Chris said. "I may be a kid, but even I can tell that Angela doesn't like you the way you like her. So back off!"
"And what will you do if I don't?", Tony asked with a smirk.
"My dad is a cop.", Chris said with a smirk of his own. "I'll just tell him that you are harrassing Angela."
"Why you little...", Tony said as she was about to grab Chris when Angela suddenly came into the kitchen to which Tony did nothing.
"Did I miss something?", Angela asked.
"No. Just me and Irma brother getting to know each other.", Tony said.
"Riiiiiiiight.", Angela said. "Well let's get back to work, Chris."
"Okay.", Chris said giving Tony a quick glare.
Tony did nothing as he waited for Irma to come back from the bathroom which wasn't long. About ten minutes later Hay Lin showed up surprising Irma.
"What are you doing here?", Irma questioned.
"I came to see if you needed any help with your biology homework seeing as we have the same class together.", Hay Lin explained just as Anna came into the kitchen.
"That's good.", Anna said before turning to Tony. "Looks like you can head on back to campus, before it gets dark, Tony."
"Looks like.", Tony said as he gathered his things. "I"ll catch you later, Irma."
"See ya.", Irma said as Anna walked Tony to the door.
"By, Tony!", Chris said getting Tony's attention to which Chris stuck his tounge out at his.
'Little brat!', Tony thought to himself as he exited the house.
"So... Why are you really here?", Irma asked Hay Lin low enough so only she could hear her.
"Angela called me and asked me to come by.", Hay Lin answered. "I can't believe you would pull something like this.", she said low enough so only Irma could hear.
"Anything for laugh.", Irma said.
"I'm not laughing.", Hay Lin said. "I thought you and Corny were done with all of this."
"Picking on Clarissa, yes.", Irma said. "As for everything else, nope."
"I wish you two would stop all of this before something bad happens.", Hay Lin said to which Irma said nothing as she continued her homework.
Hay Lin said nothing as she and Angela looked at each other knowing that Irma and Cornelia were up to something. They just didn't know what. Soon it was time for Angela and Hay Lin to head home. As Anna walked them to the door, Anna stopped them to talk.
"Thank you for helping Chris with his homework, Angela.", Anna said with a kind smile. "And thank you for helping Irma, Hay Lin."
"No problem.", Hay Lin said with a smile.
"Yeah.", Angela said. "Chris is a good kid. He took to to the work well."
"I can see that.", Anna said with a grin. "Esspecially seeing as he has developed a crush on you."
"Say what now?", Angela questioned.
"Mmm-Hmm.", Anna said. "I've noticed how he looks at you every few seconds. He's got it bad."
"Aaaaaw! That's so sweet!", Hay Lin cooed.
"Oh brother.", Angela said.
"Don't worry.", Anna said. "I'm sure it'll pass in time. But until then, be careful that you don't wear something he can look under. Or down.", she said with a grin. "Goodnight, girls!"
"Goodnight.", Hay Lin and Angela said as they headed home.
"First Tony, now Chris.", Angela said.
"Well at least Chris is nicer.", Hay Lin said before she busted out laughing. "Wait until I tell the others!", she laughed as she ran off.
"Come back here, Hay Lin!", Angela shouted as she chased her future cousin.
Soon Friday rolled around and Cornelia and Irma were working at the gym while those that had after school sports were busy with practice. As Cornelia and Irma were working, Ralos and Salos showed up and they weren't looking to happy.
"Hey, guys!", Cornelia said. "What's up?"
"Nothing good.", Ralos said.
"Whats wrong?", Irma asked.
"Well... rememeber the photo shoot?", Salos asked.
"Oh yeah!", Irma said smiling. "I can't wait to see how it turned out!"
"Like we don't already know how it'll turn out.", Cornelia said with a smile of her own.
"That's just it.", Ralos said while holding one of the three different magazines that was made. "We just got a copy and...", he began to say just as Angela, Clarissa, Aldarn, Elyon, Cassidy, and Drake came into the gym.
"Fancy meeting you all here.", Angela said. "And you have a copy of one of the magazines."
"Yeah.", Cornelia said with a smirk. "So sad that not all of you are in it."
"What are you talking about?", Cassidy questioned. "Of course we all are.", she said as she held up the one she got in which the cover was of the group picture of all those that were in the photo shoot.
"Say what!?", Cornelia questioned in shock as she stared at the cover.
"But how!?", Irma questioned.
"Turns out that Johnathan got a new sponsor seeing as they mailed us back our check.", Salos said.
"B-B-B-But who!?", Cornelia said as she skimmed through the magazine only to find that she along with Irma got same amount of photos on the magazine as every body else.
"So the magazines are done.", John said as he walked up to the front desk and saw the magazines. "I was wondering when they'd be done."
"Yeah.", Angela said. "And Johnathan was able to do all three magazines.", she said as she held all three different magazines. "I like the group one."
"Wait a sec!", Salos said figuring out things. "You're the sponsor!"
"Yes I am.", John said. "Angela convinced me to invest in it and it looks like it's paying off."
"Oh yeah.", Elyon said. "There were teens buying these bad boys off the news stands."
"That's good to hear seeing as I'm thinking about working with Johnathan and his team in doing some holiday magazines.", John said.
"Really?", Angela questioned.
"Yeah.", John said. "We're still working out the details, but it sounds promising. Well I have to get back to work. And so do you two.", he said to Irma and Cornelia before walking off to do what every he had to do.
"And let this be a lesson to you two.", Angela said to Cornelia and Irma. "Being selfish gets you no where."
"Well played.", Ralos said. "Well played indeed."
"We'll catch you two later.", Salos said to Irma and Cornelia before they left the gym.
"Later, ladies!", Angela said to Cornelia and Irma in a teasing tone as she and the others headed upstairs to their apartments.
"Oh that's it!", Cornelia said. "Angela is going to pay! Big time!"
"Calm down, Corny!", Irma said. "Remember Homecoming."
Cornelia took a deep breath remembering what they had planned.
"I'm calm. I'm calm.", Cornelia said. "I can wait. Let's just hope the boys don't chicken out."
"Don't worry. They won't.", Irma said. "This Homecoming is going to be sweet!"
"And when all is said and done, we will have payback.", Cornelia said knowing that everything was going to go well.
As for Ralos and Salos, they were driving back to their mansion knowing that things were going as they had planned.
"Did you feel how angry Cornelia and Irma were when they found out about the magazines?", Salos questioned as he was driving the car.
"Angry enough to continue with their plans for this Homecoming of theirs.", Ralos said. "And that plays along with our plans."
"Which means that we'll soon have powerful bodyguards at our disposal.", Salos said as he continued to drive. "I love it when a plan comes together."
"As do I, brother.", Ralos said. "As do I."
