Chapter thirty seven.

Eagerly I bounced in my chair as the laptop screen rang, letting me have a full reflection of myself as I sat in my strapless maxi dress. I had now been in the Cayman Islands for three months and I was currently now five months pregnant. A lot had changed with me in the past months, it seemed like it had only been yesterday that I was waving goodbye to my best friend as I boarded a plane with my love.

Flashback :

"Lissa. You. Are. Squishing. Me" I told my friend as she embraced me laying her head on my shoulder letting her tears fall.

" I know, but I don't want you to leave Rose. Please just stay here. I want to have my best friend be here, who is suppose to help me stay sane and keep me company. I know I sound so selfish but I don't want to miss you in one of your biggest moments Rose." She looked at me and let more tears fall from her eyes.

"Awe, Lissa, please don't be sad. I told you we would could skype everyday, and Ill take pictures of everything and you can always come visit, I asked Dimitri and he will even fly you and Christian out. Please just let me see you smile, I have to do this. Just during the beginning of the pregnancy, it's for my safety. I told you Dimitr's team is trying to solve out the mystery figures." I didn't say stalker in fear of worrying her more.

"You'll always be my best friend, no Cayman girl will ever replace you, got that?" I gave her a playful nudge and a beautifully sad smile cracked onto her lips.

" Theres the smile I want to see, a little sad, but there. I love you Lissa, you are family don't you forget it. And ill see you in four months time. I will be back before I hit my seventh month. You wont even remember that I was gone, only that Ill be a little fatter when I return. Just think that I went on like a buffet cruise or something." She gave a laugh and hugged me once more, and I returned the hug giving her a squeeze before pulling away.

"Alright, I cant keep them waiting anymore. Christian, " I turned to the silent boyfriend of her. " You better keep an eye on her. Better not break her heart at all, in ANY way , shape OR, form. I will come back. And I will kick your ass." He just gave me a vigorous nod. I grinned at him and opened my arms. "Come give me a hug Chrissy." She laughed and embraced me as well.

"Take care of yourself Rosie." I pulled away from him. "You're lucky this is a sappy moment, or I'd probably would have hit you." We all laughed before I pulled back and headed towards the planes stairs. Looking over my shoulder I watched my friends stand there and wave at me, and letting a few tears fall I waved back and boarded the plane.

Finally the computer screen stopped ringing the other person on the other end and connected, showing a very excited and happy girl – Lissa. A scream erupted from both of our lips as she held her left hand up showing the big rock Christian had put there last night.

"oh my god, Lissa! I cannot believe he proposed to you! Actually I can because he asked me, but seriously this is so crazy! Im so happy for you and I cannot wait to come back and see you in the flesh." I was so happy for her, finally Christian had popped the question, it had only taken him a month since he had come to me asking if this was the right thing.

" I know! I am so happy Rose, my heart aches and could burst at any moment , I love him so much. I know I am young and we really just started off in the adult world, but I feel like he really is the one. And we don't want to be married right away, but we're going to travel together and just be together. But wow, its so surreal, like I really have found my soulmate." She was adorable, her eyes glazed with love, but it all ended in about thirty seconds when her image turned towards the computer.

"SPEAKING OF HAPPY THINGS, STAND UP MISSY. I want to see how you popped!" Within the past three months, obviously I hadn't been showing when I left, maybe a little pouch at two months, but now, wow, I had really started to show. I had been reading and the size that I was, was close to being six months along.

Honestly, Im pretty sure my baby was just going to be a bigger baby, considering the size of Dimitri I was absolutely sure. At four months I had had a doctors appointment confirming the health of the baby, and nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary, just the fact that the weight was a little bigger. I wasn't too concerned. Also because I had a tinier frame that could also be why I showed a bit more than normal. But if the doctor wasn't concerned, I wasn't concerned.

Smiling I chuckled and stood up, my dress flowing down over my bump. Gathering the dress of the back of my I pulled it against my skin, emphasizing my torso, hearing Lissa squeal just made me realise that this was happening and was reality. It made it so much more real.

"Oh Rose, you look so beautiful, and its grown soo much. I cant believe you guys wont find out the gender. Why wont you? I need to plan! This auntie needs to spoil my niece or nephew and I CANT if you don't find out the gender." She pretended to stomp her feet and crossed her arms over her chest, huffing.

"Nice try Lissa, but me and Dimitri decided that we wanted to find out at the birth. You know, just like everyone did before technology. Yes its nice, but even though I don't like surprises I think it'll be a lot more fun to do a neutral gender kind of theme. We want to paint the nursery a beautiful pastel green with white accents and light browns. I think it'll look good. Besides Dimitri is the one who brought up keeping it a surprise, so I want to do what he would like as well you know? Don't you worry when you have your own you will think the same thing." I gave her a wink letting her face turn bright pink.

"What if you spit two out, one boy one girl. That would be helpful y'know." I looked at her with a blank stare.

"Watch what you say lady. One is enough. Right now at least." She smiled and leaned her cheek onto a fist propped up. She was then in serious Lissa mode.

"I miss you being around Rose, do you know is Dimitri's team has made any progress in finding the creeps?"

I sighed. " No, since that night we haven't received anything. No photos, nothing. We have had people watch the house in case. Nothing. When we left we made sure not to tell anyone except you and Christian where we were going. Maybe that is the case? Its frustrating to think that we went into hiding for nothing, that this was all just a silly prank. But it got to a point that Dimitri wasn't taking any risks right, so here we are now."

I sighed again and propped myself up leaning both elbows on the desk in front of me. "On a good note though, Ive gotten closer to Dimitri it feels, Ive learned much more about him and who he is. Being able to bond has been such a spectacular thing. When I married him, it was so arranged and fast. But even so we learned to love each other quickly. Even though we shared that feeling we didn't know anything about each other and now in these past months we really have been able to move past that quick love and learn. We did the steps backwards in a relationship."

"Who would have thought the Rose Mazur could be tamed."

I laughed. "I know right? Who would have thought. But he was a jerk when I met him, like honestly such a womanizer and so cold. It makes me feel smug to have been the one to change him though. Not for the worst either." Lissa giggled and before we could say anymore, speak of the devil walked through the door making his way over towards me and kissing my temple.

"Are you girls talking about me? I feel so hurt that you would think so lowly of me Roza." I stared at him

"Were you eavesdropping?" I asked in mock shock.

"Its not eavesdropping if its in my house." He chuckled and walked towards the bed sitting on the edge of it. He looked so good in his white shirt and khaki shorts. I wasn't going to lie, these hormones had me craving Dimitri more than ever the past few weeks.

"Rose."

Snapping my attention back to the computer screen Lissa gave me a wicked smile. "Well Ms Rose, I will let you go, make sure to message me later tell me how you are and what you do tonight, it always seems you are doing new and interesting things."

"Alright Lissa, take care give Christian a hug for me." She nodded and blew a kiss." Mwuah, love ya Rose."

"Love you too!" And then we disconnected. Swivelling in the chair, I turned towards Dimitri and stood up.

"You know, I don't think we've had much you and I time" I told him in a sarcastic tone. He just simply raised his eyebrows and leaned back on his arms.

"Oh and what did you have in mind Mrs. Belikov?" He asked suggestively.

" A few things actually, I told him crawling onto his lap and straddling him." His one hand instinctively rubbing over my delicate bump. One thing I loved when he did that. It made me feel protected.

Bringing my lips close to his, I lightly brushed them against his before a groan emitted low in his throat. A smile graced my lips, only I had this effect on him now.

Cheekily he looked at me spoke. "So are you going to tell Lissa about what we do tonight." He leaned up closer to catch my lips in a heated kiss while his other hand roamed up my leg. Breaking apart I leaned my forehead against his.

"Nah, I think I'll just tell her we stayed in a watched a movie, this she doesn't need to know." And then I resumed what then began the rest of our night.

WHOOP. Soooo 2000 words this time. Cause I felt guilt on not uploading earlier. It was kinda a filler chapter again, more fluffy and like just works with their bonding. I will be doing more with this SO BEAR WITH ME. And I wanted to time skip because I felt it was dragging a little longer than expected.
