Chapter 38: Almost at the end

The door slammed shut as I looked ahead. Torches were at the side of the pillars and around the whole place, it had many shaped rooms. Each of the walls, there would be the mark of the Triforce.

Eerie blue lights would fill the place, making the place to be uneasy. Apparently, the door that was locked with the metal bars got opened when I opened the chest.

"Master, I have information to report. I've detected three sources of sacred power within this building. This power clearly radiates from the Triforce."

Going to the entrance, I examined an object that was sitting on a stand. Observing it, I came to a conclusion that it was a puzzle piece. Three squares had triforces with different colors. I played with them for a while until it started to frustrate me which caused me to frown sometimes.

I placed the last square on the object and a sudden tremor shook the place.

"Master, I have new information for you. Analysis indicates that the shaking you felt just now was caused by a change in the building's structure. Now that the building's structure has been altered, it appears you can enter the adjacent room. I propose you use this control panel to move through the structure and collect the components of the Triforce."

The door got unlocked after that and I went in when the golden door was lifted.

The room was filled with different color of mushrooms, cliffs and trees. Though, the cliffs and the trees weren't as colorful as the mushrooms.

I sighed when three deku babas appeared out of the ground when I had slashed away the trees that blocked my path. Why is this place so…familiar? I knocked down the rope with the Beetle and proceeded my way. The more I go further down the path, the more I realized that I found the answer to my question.

It represented like Faron Woods. It was a themed room.

A shriek came as I was on a vine. I turned around and saw the Dragon that was about to breath out the fire. Quickly, I aimed for the target and zoomed right past by it just as it released its fire.

As I was on a platform, I used the Gust Bellow to swing it so I can make it to the next one. The next platform started moving once I was on it. I started to wonder why this temple had rooms that represented the places I had been through.

Perhaps it was to help me to have more experience... or something...

If I'm right, the next room will be Eldin.

I went to another golden door but I wasn't sure which room this had represented... It might be Lanayru since I saw dead bones that were buried under ground. I was right when I saw the Timeshift Orb. Unfortunately, it brought back the annoying bokoblins.

Yeah, I get it.

Pulling a lever after I had climbed a ladder, made the metal bars to go up.

I don't know if it was just me but this was a bit easier than before...though sometimes, the switches won't stay down which annoyed me a bit. Nevertheless, I figured it out after running aimlessly for quite some time. I had to stay on the switch and blow the platform to be able to move it.

I moved the platform just a bit more until I saw a device so I hit it with the arrow. The gate in front of me opened which made my path to be available. Switch after switch, lever after lever, device after device, I began to wonder how much I had done so far.

The three devices opened the metal bars to reveal the control panel. The next room had an unearthly glow and I felt like something was watching me while at the same time, I had a bad feeling about this room.

"Master, look over that way."

Through the metal bars, something on the floor was glowing blue in the middle of the many designs.

"The design carved into the floor there is the mark of Farore. I detect the sacred power of the Triforce emanating from its vicinity. To reach the area where that mark is located, I propose you pass through the door in front of you."

But it's locked. Where's the key?

Why not try calling for it?

Oh key! Come out come out, wherever you are!

I was only joking.

I smirked.

Seeing that there's nothing in the room, I exited out of the place and went back to where I had seen the control panel. If I could just unlock a door or something...

However, I thought about a new idea. Using that one, I went all the way back to the main room. Something changed though and it was a room which led to Eldin themed room.

Yay... no not really.

I found two gemstones in the next room I was in and then I slid down the path in which I had blown up the gemstone. The narrow path slightly shook me (because of its bumps) and I nearly fell into the lava; luckily, I didn't.

I climbed up the vines and I blew up another bomb to destroy the trees that were in a circle. I turned to the left and blew up the trees and the structure that had a basket in which I could put the bomb in.

The structure was blown up to reveal another gemstone. However, I went back to check the first gemstone and it went back to pink.

That was odd...

Didn't I hit it?

Unless you have to hit them at the same time.

Oh for—sighing, I went to the first gemstone (but I didn't fall off the spot I was on) and blew up the gem with the bomb and then I struck another gem. Lastly, I hit the last arrow.

All that just to open the gate?

Yeap.

I did my stuff that took place underground and went back up to see the changes. It opened a gate which I went through it to find another hole and dug my way in. However, after I destroyed the weird boulder that path was blocked. Much to my dismay, two crawling monsters started to crawl.

Not you two.

Well, time to get to work.

Crawling around was still not my favorite thing but nevertheless, the first monster is nearly killed. After one last swipe at its tail, it exploded and it left me with one more monster to go.

Man, these little buggers just won't stop crawling around. I began to feel tired because of the many crawling I had to do. Two paths were now available.

... can I go back?

The minute I entered a semi-dark room, a creature was on the other side of me. It looked like the one I had to fight from the ship though this one looked kinda...gay.

Roaring, he pulled out his electric sword.

This was seriously too easy.

Says the one who just got shocked.

Wha? The familiar zap ran throughout my body. Ouch. I shook off the feeling and began to fight him. Finally, he was at the edge of the platform and his zapping weapon fell down into the abyss. Angrily, another weapon appeared and he rudely knocked me out of the way.

Countless of strikes came and once again, the enemy was at the edge of the platform, having his arm shattered. I jumped out of the way when it spun around in circles.

You're boring... just like Ghirahim.

Hit after hit, I finally defeated.

No. You got hit twice. You just didn't want to include that...

Zip it.

Well fine then. Near the end of the battle, I got zapped from its hook followed by a hit in the chest since it rammed its hook.

And then, I ended him.

As a reward, I got a key. I exited out of the room and turned to my right to see the control panel. But I ignored it for now and continued the path though I frowned when I saw the locked door. Sighing, I went back to where I had seen the control panel and started to play with it.

The sudden tremor came again and I heard the metal bars opening which I went in.

"Master, I have information for you. I've detected a source of sacred power somewhere within this chamber. If you can find a way through the river of magma, I calculate a 60% chance you will arrive at one of the sources of sacred power. I recommend you press forward in search of the power present here."

I knocked down the Water Fruit and rode on the rock to reach my destination. Every now and then, I would have to fight the fire Keeses. I took out my arrow and struck the gemstone and a mouth of lava came, pouring down. I jumped on another rock after hitting the water fruit and continued to follow the path.

I also hit the gemstone again to stop the lava that was flowing out of the dragon's mouth.

"Master Link, you have reached the mark. Offer your sword to it."

I looked at the swirling red mark that was implanted on the ground.

"If you do this, I calculate a high probability that you will be shown the way to a part of the Triforce."

I thrust the sword in and that same weird feeling came back to me and I felt myself dissolving into the familiar sparkles. Please don't tell me this is another Silent Realm. I thought I was done with that.

I came to a place where the floor was a bright glowing blue and in front of me had four torches in a circle and it was lit. Seeing a yellow floating triangle, I ran to it and grabbed it.

The odd sensation ran through me and I shivered a bit. The odd power had transported me back and I came out of the state I was in.

Thank the goddess for having no more Silent Realms.

So, I began my way to look for the other two.

Room after room, I began to let my thoughts to wander off and I thought about how the boss would be this time. Would it be the combination of all the previous bosses I had to fight that were in Faron Woods, Eldin, and Lanayru?

I hope it wasn't the case. When this is all over, what would happen then? Where would Fi go?

I got saddened by the thought of leaving Fi. I would for sure miss her and I couldn't let her go…because of her, I made it this far.

I went all the way back to that locked door I had seen before. Using the key I had got, I unlocked it and went inside after I lifted it up. I kinda died a little when I saw what was ahead of me. It was that Moblin or whatever it's called that was guarding the other side. The metal bars slammed shut, indicating that I had to beat this thing again to earn my way out.

As soon as I climbed on its shield, I paled a little when I saw that there were two of them.

Life keeps on getting more complicated…

Feeling a bit disturbed as I struck him, he was finally dead after the many strikes I had given him all at once so he really didn't had the time to attack me. Being the brute he was, he knocked me down when he fell to the ground. Grumbling, I got up and went to the second red fiend.

Sighing, hit after hit, he was dead too and I moved out of the way to avoid being crushed from its weight. It was ridiculous how easy it was to beat them now.

Heading to the other door, I went in. As soon as I did though, the door got locked yet again.

Lovely.

Running, I noticed that there were many bokoblins on certain areas and they would fire the arrows every single time as I continued to hit the skeletons. One of the flaming arrows would narrowly hit me but it caught one of my sleeves on fire.

When I hit the skeleton, a few bokoblins came by.

I quickly did a spin attack to end the bokoblins. After I ended a bokoblin, the last skeleton took a swipe at me with its sword and I just managed to use my shield to block it.

The foe was finally dead and it left me with those flaming arrows bokoblins thing.

I held in my breath when I watched the flaming arrow that was zooming past by my face. It then struck a nearby a wall. I got struck at one of my forearms though but the earrings washed away the fire. Too bad it didn't wash away the pain that was running in my forearm.

Yanking the arrow was a bad idea since it made me to hiss in pain and it let the blood to flow freely.

I decided that it was time for these pests to be done with. Arrow after arrow, I didn't have that much left. There was another skeleton but just like all the others one, it was dead.

Another whizzing arrow flew past by me and I quickly looked at the bokoblin who was ready to fire another one. Not on my watch, you don't! Taking out my arrow had ended it.

Though, it was painful to do since my arm hurts.

I stared at the locked door, thinking of how I am going to open it. I used my Beetle to check around for things that could help me but the sudden pain from my arm made me to lose the control of it. Using my other arm, I took out the gauze and wrapped around my bleeding forearm after I took off the glove.

And then, I didn't know what to do in this room so I went to a door that wasn't locked only to find that it did got locked since there was something in the middle of the room, scattered.

It was none other than the skeleton.

Oh look, it brought out its minions…I cringed when it roared.

First things first though. The cursed bokoblins must be dead!

Wait…aren't they already dead, judging of how they look…?

However, the more I keep on hitting the bokoblins, they would just come right back up.

Just freakin die already!

Maybe you have to hit the skeleton first…

Things got a little chaotic when the bokoblins grabbed onto me and it created an opportunity for the skeleton to hit me. However, I was just lucky enough to break free before the enemy could strike me. I used my shield to protect against the blow and the skeleton staggered back.

At the last hit, I did a little victory dance but then it died down when the foe grabbed two more weapons…

Well then.

The fiend decided to jazz things up a bit by blocking my attacks every now and then but I would still manage to hit it. I realized that after many strikes, the bokoblins would finally be gone.

At last, the brute died.

Again.

I got out of the room and then pulled down the lever which opened the gate. Seeing another mark on the floor, I thrust my sword into it.

Well, I just got the Triforce of Courage.

One more piece to go.

I suppose this temple wasn't so bad…

Didn't you say that to the other ones as well and it turned out to be bad?

Shut it.

The unwelcoming lava made me to want to throw myself into cool water. Ugh, I just want to get out of this room! I then went all the way back to the main room since I knew the last Triforce piece would be close by.

Hurriedly, I ran to another door and saw that the mark.

"I have identified the design on the floor there as the mark of Nayru. I detect the sacred power of the Triforce radiating from it. Unfortunately, the way leading to the mark is closed off. There appears to be a Timeshift Orb over there. I propose you utilize the nearby Timeshift Orb to open a path to the mark."

Finally getting to the mark of the Nayru, I did like I had done before and went to another place where I collected the final piece.

The Triforce of Wisdom.

All of a sudden, the welcoming blue glow suddenly vanished and it was replaced by an evil glow. Or so I thought. The light came back into the room and the sparkles started to float and I vanished with them.

I felt the familiar breeze as the sparkles had gently let myself to stand on a firm ground. I gaped at the familiar statue—the Goddess Statue.

An unexpected bright light appeared in front of me. I staggered back a bit from the sudden burst of light and once it died down, the Triforce pieces floated in front of me as they twirled into the air to release another burst of light.

The pieces got bigger and they continued to twirl around. I felt myself being in some kind of a trance since I didn't break my gaze from it.

"Master, I believe at this juncture that a prayer is required. The ultimate goal we have traveled so far for is now within reach. Focus now, and wish with all your might for the destruction of Demise."

Looking at it, I closed my eyes and like Fi said, I wished with all my might. The swirling Triforce stopped spinning around as it made itself to piece together—to be in its complete form.

The powerful light once again exploded from it and it reminded me of the sun rays. Everything started to break apart as I felt the tremor and the cracks from the bridges. I eventually fell from the aggressive shake. However, I saw the floating rock that was once attached to Skyloft was now de-attached from it as it floated down from the sky.

Something felt the presence and it came out of it, releasing the horrid screech. I looked down to see the Imprisoned that was trying to escape from it. The sky turned to an ugly shade of storm as the bright light once again exploded.

Did we kill the Imprisoned?

Surely, we must.

Unfortunately, the familiar black mist burst up unexpectedly, covering us in a circle. When everything stopped, I paused for a minute before getting up. The storm that had blocked the sun was returned. The sun rays pierced through it, vanishing the storm completely.

I noticed that the place looked different. What happened to the Sealed Temple?

"Master Link, I have news. I have confirmed that the Isle of the Goddess, which was formerly a part of Skyloft, has returned to the surface. Furthermore, I have detected the successful eradication of Demise. Your prayers to the Triforce have been heard."

"You mean…he's gone?"

She smiled. "Yes, Master."

"In light of these factors, the seal Zelda maintained through her agelong sleep is no longer necessary. My projections indicate she will wake momentarily."

"Zel…da…" I gasped. "Zelda!"

She's…going to be awake! Oh sweet Goddesses! I can finally be with her! I can bring her back to Skyloft!

"I advise you to make your way to the Sealed Temple as soon as possible."

"As soon as possible? Why not now?" I cried out. Zelda, I'm coming!

I jumped off the statue and used the sailcloth and then I started to run to the temple. The only thing that was running in my mind was Zelda.

Author's Note: *speaks gibberish* ohmygawd! I can't believe that we're almost done the story! Nooo! Sniff…*wails*
