Chapter 37

ROADS POV:

We got a call from that broad Olivia; she let us know that our dear cousin is in fact there at GEH getting taken up for her interview. I guess even though most of the staff had the day off, she decided to go in anyways. This is good on our part because she cautiously overheard a couple of the added security. They were talking about some place down this back road that Grey has been hiding some sort of treasure. She didn't catch it all, but she did catch where the road is. Damn that woman wouldn't let me off the phone until I promised her a cut of whatever we find. Well, it better be worth it!

I know she's taking a risk giving us this information, and if it is some sort of treasure hidden, then what better way to screw Grey a bit before we fully take off. We are leaving our dear cousin to finish off her plan, just like we left Hyde to finish his end. They should be out of sight by now, and that's what we got to do. I have heard a couple stories I don't think I wanted to know about the Grey revenge, and I know right now we are on his list…especially me.

We traveled a bit down this dirt road that veered off where Olivia said, and I'm thinking that maybe she was wrong. I haven't seen anything in awhile, and I know Tom feels the same. But when we came over the hill of the road, I saw what looked like a closed up building in the distance. It looked like an old barn, but closed up like a warehouse. This has got to be it! I pointed in the distance and Tom said that we would get a little closer, but hide the car under those trees some and walk up. We don't know if there is anyone on guard, or not. Smart guy, this one, so that what we did.

I held my gun out as we neared the building, watching all around and listening for any movements. If someone is here, they don't know we are here yet, so we tried to keep down and sneak up to the door. Upon reaching the door, I turned to Tom to get his take on our next step. I was told if I saw anyone, shoot, don't ask. Ok, I can do this. I take a deep breath and started to count with him…

"One…Two…Three…"

And before I could process what was happening, I felt a sharp pain going thru my forearm and I dropped my gun. I looked down and saw my blood just pouring out, and looked over to see Tom hunched down as well. Damn, we've been shot! I looked up to see a bunch of guys just appearing out of thin air, and behind all that crowd I see someone I was hoping to never see again… Luke Sawyer.

Damn I'm fucked!

ANA'S POV:

I watch as Christian gathers my things from the private room here at the hospital. I don't know what much is going on, but I just know there will be a lot of security, and I'm getting out of here. The nurse brings in a wheelchair, in which I would rather walk, but I humor my dear fifty. He has been thru so much as well as I have, I'm not going to argue over a little ride in a chair. I take my seat being careful of my bandaged chest and sit on back to feel my husband gently hugging me from behind. I know with him in control this chair isn't going to be racing down the hallway, but rather like strolling along smelling the flowers. I'll just enjoy the ride.

As I'm being pushed, I can sense Christian's mood. It's a happy mood, the happiest I felt from him, and I immediately become more relaxed. If Christian can feel as though we are walking on clouds, then I will grasp his hand and frolic along. I'm beginning to smile as big as he is, until I notice we were coming to the exit. If I know any better, there would be some media out there, just ready to snap a picture and possibly get a story. I tried to frown on this thought, but that electric feeling behind me kept me smiling. I think more out of confusion than happiness, but a smile nevertheless.

Exiting the hospital and into the SUV was a breeze, no one with cameras screaming my name, not a single person outside of our security. Riding in the SUV was even better; I sat myself as close to my husband as I could, and just kissed him. Making out like teenagers in the backseat, and I am reminded to brace myself because I just got injured. The ride to Escala seemed longer than usual, but I didn't mind. Maybe Taylor's giving us a little extra time before we have to face reality. I didn't realize after awhile when the SUV stopped that we were home. I pulled my face from Christian's, and then let out a sigh. It wasn't until I started to see my surroundings that I realized what took us so long.

We are home… at our home on the sound! I try to shuffle out of the SUV with Christian's help, him laughing the whole way. That's why he's been in a good mood! He knew we were coming home! Well, it's a wonderful surprise, and I know we will be safe here because I can feel it from my husband. I'm held close to my wonderful man as I'm being walked to the front door.

"Welcome Home, Baby," Christian whispered with such emotion.

I had so much emotion running thru my body, I let him pick me up and carry me thru the threshold. And I let him introduce me to our new home.

A/N:

Yay! I got to get up on a computer today, so I got out another chapter here. I have maybe one or two more to finish it up, then can concentrate on my other one that I started. Thank you all for following and reviewing and I love to hear from ya! A lot of you guessed a mole, and your right, but not in the way everyone was thinking. Another set of dumb criminals… ha ha… Thanks again!
