Chapter 38: A moment of ease (100 Followers Special)
Hello everyone, I want to say thank you for reading this far into my story, this is not the end mind you, this is the last chapter of the first arc and I'll make this Author's note rather short. What's funny is that this story originally started as just a simple story to kinda get rid of some stress out as I couldn't stop thinking of the ideas (I was focusing on a now deleted story called The Forgotten Race, I deleted it because I rushed on making it). But now this story is popular and I want to say thank you all for the support you have shown by following my story and leaving me reviews to smile at when I read them. The next chapter will be the first chapter of the second arc and until then, I'll see you all later!
"Remember me, for centuries~!" The radio sounded, the song playing ended. "Ninety-Five point Seven… the vibe!" It said in a deep male voice. "Hello everyone! My name is Luke Scotts and that was Centuries by Fall Out Boy requested by Wasure Rarete Ita. I am here to update you on the situation for the strange occurrence with what seemed to have attacked Vale without many witnesses and the attack on Beacon's cafeteria by a dragon and a man in black whose name is Onmyō Chūsei." The radio said, grabbing Wasure's attention to had was listening to the radio with her hand-held one as she sat on a bench in the park, enjoying the day.
"25 year old Onmyō Chūsei was arrested for the assault on Beacon by all the students and staff members one week ago. He later proclaimed he was involved in that strange attack on Vale to which I'm not even sure what happened myself. He went to court not too long ago today and claimed guilty of all charges, one even being that he was suspected of being The Ghost that has caused many unsolved murders which has come to a stop for about 6 weeks now. With him being guilty and his charges being rather heavy, he is looking up to be in prison for a heavy 20 years in prison, though the oddest part is that he requested a longer sentence. If you ask me I think the other prisoners should be worrying if someone request to be locked up longer then they should be…" Luke Scotts said which made Wasure chuckle a little as she knew he was right.
"Heads up!" Yang shouted before Wasure looked up to see and catch the frisbee heading right to her. "Nice catch!" Yang shouted in the distance, she and Ruby were playing catch with Zwei, Weiss was ice skating on the nearby pond that she had frozen solid, and Blake was sitting under a tree, reading in the shade provided by it. "Throw it!" Ruby shouted to Wasure.
"Got it!" Wasure said before she got up and threw the frisbee between the two sister, who both started running for it.
"I got it!" They both shouted as they jumped up in to the air and reached for it, only to fail as they watched Zwei catch the frisbee before Ruby or Yang could reach it. The sisters looked back at each other before they ended up colliding their foreheads together and fell to the ground moaning in pain.
"Pfft…" Wasure tried to hold in her laughter as best as she could before she burst into laughter at how well that went.
Blake looked up from her book to see what was going on before she smiled and laughed a little before going back to her reading.
Weiss stopped ice skating and looked at Ruby and Yang before shaking her head and rolling her eyes, but a faint smile appeared on her face before she continued to skate.
"Are you two alright?" Wasure asked with a slight giggle as she grabbed her radio and turned it off before walking to Ruby and Yang to see them holding their foreheads as the giant lumps their got bigger and bigger. Zwei walked up with the frisbee and set it down before tilting his head as he looked at the two sisters.
"No…" They both moaned as they started to roll back and forth on the green grass, Zwei joined them, though he didn't know they were in pain.
Wasure only chuckled a little more before sighing. "Yang…" She said before holding out her hand for Yang as she looked at Wasure and her outstretched hand. "I think I've rested enough to spare with you now…" Wasure joked, smiling before Yang grinned and took her hand before she was pulled up to her feet, ignoring the pain in on her forehead. "About time! It feels like I've been waiting for months!" Yang said before she and Wasure took a few steps back and took a fighting stance.
Ruby moaned one final last time before she noticed what was going on and backed away to a nice distance to where she could see the brawl about to happen, she was soon accompanied by Weiss and Blake as they sat together in the grass. A minute had passed before the first punch was thrown, thrown by Wasure and was countered by Yang.
Maximum Security Prison: Discord Symphony
"So what are you in here for? This is my fourth trip..." A man in an orange jumpsuit asked the spiked up white hair man, Onmyō as the bus neared the prison.
"Me? Well… murder.. rape… disembowelment of live people… biting off tongues… cutting off erections with a boxcutter… the list goes on and on…" Onmyō said before he watched the man that asked him scoot away, along with everyone else. That only made him grin as he had already put fear into his soon-to-be fellow inmates.
The moment the bus stopped and everyone moved out, a big and buff security guard came out and called Onmyō's name before he stepped forward and was directed away from the group as they were led off in another direction. They walked and walked, one prisoner even looked at Onmyō with a death stare when he was passing his cell, the moment they had passed his cell he was hiding under his bed, whispering that he wanted his mommy. Onmyō grinned at how cowardly the inmate got when he looked at him.
"He we are…" The guard said before opening a door that simply had a toilet and a bed. "This is your cell... in solitary confinement. For 20 years you will be in here and won't converse with the other prisoners. Enjoy your stay you motherfucker and rot in your hell…" He said before he undid Onmyō's cuffs and made him walk in to his cell. "Oh, and this came for you in the morning, they must have known you were to be guilty considering it came for you before your time in court." He said before throwing an envelope on the ground and then closed the door before the sound of a big lock moved into place.
Onmyō picked up the envelope, looking at it before raising an eyebrow and then ripped the envelope open before pulling out the letter and started reading as he sat on his bed. Once he was finished he lowered his hands and held the letter with one before it slipped from his finger right as soon as he started to chuckle before it turned into a full on evil laughter. He stopped and it was dead silent while a grin was on his face, showing his sharp canine teeth that looked like they could rip through thick leather with no problem.
"Oh… this will be interesting when the time comes…" Onmyō said, his orange jumpsuit got darker, the fabric changed and the design even changed before he was back in his black suit with the white tie and black fedora. "Shame though…" He said as he got up from his bed before walking to a very cushioned chair, the small room had grown several times over its own size. It was decorated with fancy stuff and obviously would have been fit for a rich person. "I just got all my long-term prison furniture moved in…" He said before reaching for the glass full of red wine and took a sip before setting it back down on the small table next to him. "Still, best enjoy prison life while I can…" He said before he suddenly was reading a book by an unlit chimney with firewood in it. He was lightly humming a tune too...
"Know me by name, Shepherd of Fire~!" Onmyō sang to himself as he read his book. The firewood in the chimney suddenly burst with flames and a roaring fire soon lived in the chimney.
The Park
Wasure side-stepped, avoiding a punch that was going for her face. She grabbed Yang's arm and wrapped her own arm around Yang's before she started hitting Yang in the stomach with light punches, not wanting to cause any real damage to her.
Yang broke free of the grasp and tripped Wasure by pulling her foot off the ground. She got on top of Wasure who covered her face with her forearms before Yang started to pound and hit on them, feeling like she was hitting metal instead of flesh and bone. After a while Wasure pushed Yang's arms away before pushing Yang off of her, allowing Wasure to get back on feet just in time as Yang got back on her feet to deliver a punch, she did the same.
The punches passed each other before colliding into their opponents cheek at the same time, it was like watching some kind of 3D reflection almost. The punches forced both Wasure and Yang to the grassy ground before they started laughing, followed by Ruby, a smile and a chuckle from Blake, and an eye-roll from Weiss.
"Hey, Wasure?" Yang asked before getting a 'hm?' in response, "Who exactly is your mentor? Onmyō is his name right?" Yang asked before she heard Wasure chuckle.
"He lives a dangerous life and yet fascinating one, going from place to place… killing all sorts of things and going on this grand adventures all over. Yet if you're asking personality wise… he's… he's something else. One moment he'll make the devil seem like a dust mite compared to him, the next he can be the most compassionate and caring being ever. Though… that's a rarer side of him you'll see probably once or twice in your lifetime." She said with a chuckle.
"So you're saying we got lucky when he surrendered?" Weiss asked.
"Yep, and I think I know why…" Wasure said.
"Do tell…" Blake said.
"Can't, you'll either think I've lost some brain cells after brawling Yang or the worse result possibly. I can't tell you anything without going into full detail and that is a risk I don't want to take…" Wasure answered.
"Why not, and what's the worst result possible?" Ruby asked with a moan.
"Well… it's for your own safety that I can't tell you…" Wasure answered, "I don't want him to get involved again, not after all we've done just to finish this mess me and him have made…" She thought.
"Alright… so what do you think we should do once we leave? I'm thinking of going to sleep for a whole week." Ruby said.
"That sounds lovely… possibly a deep tissue massage before that, for me of course…" Weiss said before she closed her eyes and laid down on the ground.
"Think you can make private sessions for four more?" Blake asked.
"Took the words right out of my mouth kitty cat!" Yang said.
"And Weiss is paying." Wasure said before Weiss sat up and started nagging at how she wasn't going to treat everyone anything special, but they just laughed as they knew she would if they promised to help her with something or persuade her in someway.
In the distance on the sidewalk was Victor, a slight look of anger was on his face as he wore a trench coat and held a suitcase. He pulled out a vial of black liquid and looked at it before putting it away and walked away, "It's time to switch gears…" He said to himself, "Time to meet my old professor…" He added as he knew his next step to revenge was far away from Beacon. A place where Dust wasn't welcomed.
