It's My Own Invention Part 2
"Okay, did that...Holy Crap!" Dean growled.
"Yeah, tell me about it. By the way next time I say let's keep driving, uh, let's keep driving."
"OK, yeah. Next time."
"Alright, so what's our next move?"
"I..I don't know. Grab those poor saps out of the freezer, I guess? Bust 'em out? Gank a few freaks along the way if we're lucky?"
"And when are you ever lucky?" They spun round to find Gabriel sitting in one of the chairs.
"Well you know what, bite me, Gabriel."
"Maybe later big boy. Although I'd much rather bite her." Gabriel raised an eyebrow and smirked at Lacey. Lacey shuddered.
"I think I need another bath..." She groaned.
"I should have known. I mean this had your stink over it from the jump."
"You think I'm behind this? Please. I'm the Costner to your Houston. I'm here to save your ass."
"You wanna pull us outta the fire?" Dean asked incredulously.
"Bingo! Those guys are either gonna dust you or use you as bait. Either way, you're uber boned."
"Wow, cause a couple of months ago you were telling us that we need to play our roles. You're uber boning us!"
"Even to me that sounds wrong." Lacey muttered to Sam.
"Ooh... the end is still nigh. Michael and Lucifer are gonna dance the lambada, but not tonight. Not here."
"And why do you care?" Dean asked.
"I don't care. But me and Kali we uh, had a thing. Chick was all hands. What can I say? I'm sentimental."
"Do they have a chance against satan?" Sam asked.
"Really Sam?" Dean asked.
"You got a better idea, Dean?"
"It's a bad idea. Lucifer's gonna turn them into finger paint. So let's get going while the going's good huh?"
"OK great, why don't you just zap us out of here then?"
"I would if I could but Kali's got you by the short and curlies. It's a blood spell. You boys are on a leash." Lacey smirked at Dean.
"What does that mean?"
"It means it's time for a bit of the old black magic." Gabriel told them.
"Okay, yeah well, whatever. Well we're gonna take the hors 'doeuvres in the freezer with us.
"Forget it. It's gonna be hard enough sneaking you mooks out of here."
"They called you Loki right? Which means they don't really know who you are?" Dean pointed out.
"Told you. I'm in witness protection."
"Ok, well then how about you do what we say, or we tell the uh, legion of doom about your secret identity. They don't seem like a real pro angel kinds crowd." Dean threatened.
"I'll take your voices away." Gabriel countered.
"We'll write it down."
"I'll cut off your hands."
"Well then people are gonna be asking, why are you guys running around with no hands?"
"Fine." Gabriel gave in and snapped his fingers, disappearing.
The three of them headed back to the lobby to try and rescue the people trapped in the freezer. They heard screaming coming from the direction of the kitchen, Dean grabbed Lacey and pulled her behind a pillar as two goons dragged a guy into the lobby.
"No! No! No! Please!" He begged before they began to cut into him with a meat cleaver.
"It's too late." Sam whispered from his hiding spot. As the two goons headed into the conference room with the corpse, they crept into the kitchen and Sam began to pick the lock on the freezer. Suddenly Dean went flying across the room, one of the Gods, whose label read Zao Shen, had found them, he grabbed Sam by the throat and began to choke him. Dean regained his senses and got to his feet.
"Stop!" Kali stood in the doorway. Zao Shen turned to face her and Dean stabbed him with a wooden stake. He loosened his grip on Sam as he fell to the ground, dead. Sam got to his feet gasping and the two of them turned to face Kali. She smiled at them and turned back into Lacey. They stared at her with their mouths slightly open.
"You never cease to amaze." Dean said, wrapping her in a hug. Lacey smiled up at him. "Where the hell is Gabriel?" Dean asked, looking around. The same two goons appeared at the door and hauled them back into the conference room. Gabriel was sat in one of the chairs.
"How long have you known?" He asked Kali.
"Long enough." She replied disdainfully.
"How's the rescue going?" Dean asked sarcastically.
"Well surprise, surprise the trickster has tricked us." Kali addressed her audience.
"Kali, don't." Gabriel pleaded.
"You're min now. And you have something I want." She reached into his jacket and pulled out his angel blade. "An Archangel's blade, from the Archangel Gabriel."
"Okay, Okay! So I got wings, like kotex. But that doesn't make me any less right about Lucifer."
"He's lying. He's a spy."
"I'm not a spy. I'm a runaway. I'm trying to save you. I know my brother Kali, he should scare the living crap out of you. You can't beat him. I've skipped ahead, seen how this story ends..."
"Your story. Not ours." She spat. "Westerners, I swear. The sheer arrogance. You think you're the only ones on earth? You pillage and you butcher in your gods name. But you're not the only religion, and he's not the only God. And now you think you can just rip the planet apart? You're wrong. There are billions of us. And we were here first. If anyone gets to end this world, it's me. I'm sorry." She stabbed Gabriel through the chest with the angel sword. A bright white light erupted from the wound and his eyes before fading out.
"This is crazy." Mercury, the guy from behind the desk, commented.
"They can die. We can kill Lucifer." Kali told them.
"Alright you primitive screwheads, listen up." Dean interrupted.
"Are you outta your mind?" Sam asked.
"I'm outta options." Dean told him. "Now on any other given day, I'd be doing my damnedest to uh, kill you. You filthy murdering chimps. But uh, hey desperate times. So even though I'd love nothing better than to slit your throats, you dicks, I'm gonna help you. I'm going to help you ice the devil. And then we can all get back to ganking each other, like normal. You want Lucifer, well, dude's not in the yellow pages. But me and Sam, we can get him here."
"How?" Kali asked.
"First you let those main courses go. Then we talk. We can either take on the devil together, or you lame ass bitches can eat me. Literally."
Kali let Dean out to release the people trapped in the freezer.
"So, you're going to summon Lucifer." She said, turning to Sam.
"Sort of. I just need you to squeegee some stuff from my ribs and he'll come running."
"Breaking them would be easier." Kali commented. Lacey stepped protectively in front of Sam and folded her arms. At that moment Dean came through the door.
"Show's over. Sword's a fake, and Gabriel, he's still kicking. I hate to break it to you sister but you've been tricked." Suddenly the lights began to flicker.
"What's happening?" Baldur asked. They could hear screams coming from the hallway as more of the Gods were massacred.
"It's him." Sam said, looking worried.
"How?"
"Does it matter? Shazzam us outta here would you?" Dean asked them.
"We can't."
"Of course you can't." They turned to see Lucifer at the door. "You didn't say mother may I? Sam, Dean, Lacey, good to see you again."
"Baldur, don't." Kali commanded as he stepped forward.
"You think you own the planet? What gives you the right?" Lucifer ripped him apart.
"Nobody gives us the right. We take it." Lucifer told his corpse. Kali glared at him angrily and threw a ball of fire at him. Sam and Dean dove for cover behind the tables, dragging Lacey with them. As the flames flickered out they peered back out over the top of the table. Lucifer stood there, completely unharmed. He backhanded Kali across the room.
"You okay?" Sam asked them. Suddenly Gabriel appeared beside them
"Not really, better late than never, huh?" He handed Dean a DVD. "Guard this with your life." He instructed. Lucifer was about to kill Kali when he was thrown across the room.
"Lucy, I'm home." Gabriel called, standing up from behind the table with his angel sword in hand."Not this time. Guys get her out of here." He pushed Kali towards them.
"Over a girl? Gabriel, really? I mean I knew you were slumming but I hope you didn't catch anything."
"Lucifer you're my brother. And I love you. But you are a great big bag of dicks."
"Wait, what did you just say to me?" Lucifer looked surprised.
"Look at yourself! Boo hoo! Daddy was mean to me, so I'm gonna smash up all his toys."
"Watch your tone."
"Play the victim all you want. But you and me? We know the truth. Dad loved you best. More than Michael, more than me. Then he brought the new baby home and you couldn't handle it. So this is all just one big temper tantrum. Time to grow up."
The four of them ran out of the hotel and headed to the Impala.
"I'm not getting in that thing." Kali protested.
"Just get in the car, princess." Dean barked at her. The four of them climbed in, Dean started the engine and they high tailed it out of the parking lot.
As soon as they were out of reach Kali disappeared. They drove for hours just to make sure. When the night faded and the dawn began to break across the horizon they pulled the car over and got out. Sam took out his Laptop and put the disk Gabriel had given them in and pressed play. Corny music began to play over the speakers. The picture changed to a woman in her underwear lying on a bed, writing in a diary.
"Dear diary, being a high powered business president is super fun. But sooo exhausting. Sometimes I just need to relax. I need Casa Erotica." Lacey frowned at the screen. There was a knock at the door.
"Room service!"
"Come in!" The door to the room opened and Gabriel, dressed as a waiter and complete with mustache, walked in carrying a tray.
"I've got the kielbasa you ordered."
"Ooh! Polish?" The woman asked.
"Hungarian." Gabriel threw the tray down and began kissing the woman. Lacey put her hands over her eyes and shook her head.
"What the hell's going on?" Sam asked disgustedly. At this point Gabriel stopped kissing the woman and turned to the camera, removing his mustache.
"Sam, Dean, Lacey." Lacey removed her hands from her eyes at the mention of her name. "You're probably wondering what the hell's going on. Well, if you're watching this, I'm dead. Oh please! Stop sobbing, it's embarrassing for all of us. Without me you've got zero shot at killing Lucifer, sorry! But you can trap him. The cage you sprung Lucifer from? It's still down there. And maybe, just maybe you can shove his ass back in. Not that it'll be easy. You gotta get the cage open, trick my bro back into it. And uh, oh yeah, avoid Michael and the God squad. But, hey, details right? And here's the big secret, Lucifer himself doesn't even know, the hey to the cage? It's out there. Actually it's keys plural. Four keys, well four rings. From the horsemen. You get 'em all, you've got the cage. Can't say I'm betting on you guys. But, uh, Hey! I've been wrong before. And Dean, you were right. I was afraid to stand up to my brother, not anymore." He got to his feet. "So this is me, standing up. And this is me lying down." He said throwing the woman down on the bed. Lacey turned away from the screen. Sam shut the laptop in disgust.
"Oh, uh, oh! Oh man!"
"Horsemen, huh? Well, we got War's. We nicked Famine's. That's two down. Collect all four? All we need is Pestilence and Death."
"Oh is that all?" Sam asked, sarcastically.
"It's a plan." Sam nodded and the three of them got into the Impala and drove off.
