The weekend flew by faster than Emily and Mike expected it to. After Alex's terrible nightmare three nights ago, and after Mike and Emily helped him get through that night, he never talked about his mother for the rest of the weekend. He went back to the shy, happy boy he is. Serena and Jason picked him up Sunday night in all smiles, glad that they now had a permanent babysitter whenever they came out into the city.

Now, Mike was back in his dance studio, sitting in a chair, and keeping his broken leg elevated in another. He was trying his best not to rip out his hair in frustration. His idea to have Emily take his spot in the final performance may have not been his brightest solution to his problem. He was even starting to reconsider. Jason's class wasn't with him today but he had told Jason about his great plan and even though he hasn't seen the chaos yet, he doesn't think Mike's wife is the most suitable replacement.

The green ranger began to slouch in his chair from the crazy amount of deep sighs he was letting out as he watched his students and Emily dance. He knows he forced her into the performance at last minute but he had a longer conversation with her later that night and she seemed more excited to help. Emily was glaring at him as she danced, clearly not as excited as before.

"Ow!"

Mike stopped the music and scanned the room. He found Evany in the front corner next to Emily, hopping on one foot. Mike grabbed his hair and chuckled.

"Oh, man." He shook his head, still chuckling out of nervousness. "We suck…really badly. We need to stop and talk."

"Emily has two left feet!" Evany blew a raspberry at Emily. "How does that quote go? Two lefts don't make a right?"

"You're lucky I don't like yelling at people younger than me." Emily said, crossing her arms in a huff. "I'm going to be the better person and not even reply to your dumb comment. By the way, it's 'two wrongs don't make a right'."

"Okay, one: you technically just replied to me. And two: you're not even that much older! You're just, like, four years older than me."

"I'm five years older than you actually! I will be turning twenty soon. Get your facts straight, brat!"

Mike and the other students watched the angry exchange between Emily and Evany go down with raised eyebrows. All of them were a little shocked. Mike was surprised his shy star student was yelling at his wife (especially since they were best friends an hour ago) while the other dancers were still musing over Emily's age. She was short but they didn't expect her to be such a young age and married. They kept their mouths clothes though. They didn't want to frustrate their dance instructor more than he already was.

"You dance like you're drunk!" Evany continued to bash Emily. The samurai ignored her this time and looked at her husband for aid.

"Mikey! Your student is being mean to me! Make her stop!"

"Be mature, guys." Mike told the two ladies. He looked at the other students. "You guys were the ones riding my back that you didn't want to do this performance without me. Now I have a replacement and you guys aren't cooperating."

"But…"

"Time-out, Evany." Mike swiftly said. "This performance isn't going to look good if you two are at each other's necks the whole time. Let's try something different?"

Emily and Evany exchanged glances and nodded in agreement. Mike sighed again, this time in relief. It's going to be a long day.

Over at the mall, Lauren was walking around, in and out of stores, with Kevin, Mia, and Breezie. She was pushing the stroller while Kevin and Mia walked in front of her. The couple seemed to be in a deep conversation about a ring. At first Lauren was confused, but then they all walked into a jewelry store and she heard them more clearly. Mia wanted to get her wedding ring resized because her pregnancy with Breezie made her fingers swell up and they haven't gone back to their normal size since. Lauren stared at her skinny fingers that were gripping onto the stroller. She's going to start her second trimester soon. She wondered if she was going get swollen fingers during her pregnancy.

"Let's go look at other pretty rings while your parents work out their wedding ring issue." Lauren told her niece. The four months old ignored her. She was much more entertained by the small toy in her hand that she kept on moving around in rigid motions.

Lauren walked to the other side of the counter and saw engagement rings. They made her stomach flutter. She looked down at her fingers again and pictured a big diamond on her left hand.

"What do you think about rubies, Bre?" Lauren asked the baby girl.

"Mmm…muaahh!" Breezie mumbled out.

"Rubies are overrated, huh?" Lauren said, scanning the diamond rings display. "What about a garnet? If I remember correctly, that's your dad's birthstone."

"Mu!"

"Hey, don't be mean." Lauren pouted at Breezie.

Kevin laughed as he walked up to Lauren. "What are you two talking about?"

"Breezie said she doesn't like your birthstone."

Kevin stared at her confused.

"Don't be mad at me." Lauren shrugged. "She's your daughter."

Lauren went back to gazing at the rings. Kevin couldn't help but notice the exciting spark in her eyes as she looked. It was so easy for him to know exactly what she was thinking.

"You think Cody is going to propose soon?" Kevin asked her.

"Oh no, I don't think so." Lauren shook her head, thinking Kevin was being silly. She absolutely loves Cody and she was sure he felt the same way but, she doubted he would propose now. Cody insisted he buys some of the stuff for their baby on the way. He didn't want them to use Lauren's money just because she was rich. So, with that said, he was likely saving up for baby supplies and not an engagement ring.

"Um…how did you propose to Mia?" Lauren asked the blue samurai. This time, Kevin's eyes lighted up.

"Disneyland…it was a Disneyland engagement."

"Cheesy." Lauren chuckled.

"Yeah, well you know how Mia likes Disney princesses and all of that junk. And you may think its cheesy now, but wait until Cody proposes to you at the beach during sunset and you're going to cry and jump into his arms just like they do in the movies."

Lauren rolled her eyes at his teasing. Although she didn't consider herself a very romantic person, Kevin was right. She couldn't wait for the magical day to happen.

What's up? Guess who got writer's block for the first time in probably months? Me. I hope you all enjoyed this short chapter :)
