"Well, isn't this cosy." I heard a voice say, and I turned around instantly. Déja vu.

"Remus," Marlene whispered, pulling herself off of Sirius, and wiping at her face briskly. She put on a winning smile and faced her boyfriend, or were they still 'official'. Why had Remus told her that? That he wanted me?

Sirius seemed to be thinking the same thing, he actually looked like he was thinking. Damn his eyes, damn his hidden depths.

If Remus knows I don't like him, then why on earth would he try to make a move on me?

A sly smile spread across Sirius's face and he crossed his arms over his chest.

"If it isn't my favourite young heart breaker, Moony my sparkling angel, you've upset your girlfriend, and she's upset my girlfriend."

"Sirius," I said, causing everyone to look my way. I should've protested, but instead I played along, feeling worse than ever for mocking Marlene just to get a cheap rise out of Sirius earlier. "Ll-leave them to it. Isn't really cold in here?" I said this with the tone of a person inviting another into a more private discussion.

Sirius looked at me as if to say 'now isn't the time' and 'how could you be cold' because the flames in the fireplace were burning bright, but then he walked closer to me and wrapped his arms around my waist, and asked. "Better?"

"Yeah," I nodded, and I wasn't lying, because honestly, I was sort of, kind of, really cold before he did this warm hugging thing to me.

"Spare me," Remus rolled his eyes at us, and I noticed how he said, me, and not us. Marlene noticed too, I could see it in her face. Remus approached her though, walked into the room and stood not too far from the sad girl.

"You don't have to look if you have a p-problem," I said, leaning into Sirius glad to have the excuse, in line with my charade, Sirius tugged me toward the infamous Gryffindor common room alcove. Remus rolled his eyes, Marlene almost looked grateful. But even she must've been surprised when I turned into Sirius and kissed him just as he pulled me out of sight.
