I visit Dan's grave today. I don't know why I did that since I am not a very sentimental person. Maybe it was because I am retiring and today is my last day.
Being Hokage is Dan's dream after all… and Nawaki. I think it is fitting that I tell them personally that I managed to fulfill that dream.
Or maybe I am just drunk since Kakashi bought me another bottle of sake early this morning. I am too polite to refuse such as generous offer and as a sign of my gratitude, I drank the sake after a few minutes that it was given to me.
Kakashi Hatake(my ever provider of sake) is my replacement and I am confident that he is going to do one hell of a job at being Hokage. I even got a feeling that he will do better than me because the man is a genius.
Besides, there is no better leader than a family man. He is a doting husband and a loving father of two. The man has never been happier and it is a good example for the next in line: Uzumaki Naruto.
Deep inside, I am happy for Kakashi and his wife. I supported them from the start because they kind of reminded me of the love that I once shared with Dan. It is also rare to find a story like theirs—even if only a handful of people knew the real story.
Unfortunately, Kakashi's two sons looked exactly like him—not to mention the additional Hyuga genes—so I am afraid that there is going to be a war between the females not only inside the Leaf's territory but to other villages as well. (This is not a joke. I am serious.)
I wanted to write more but I am tired and I still have to get dressed. There is a Yamanaka and Hyuga wedding ceremony in a few hours and my presence is needed.
I could hear the wedding songs being played from where I write and they are nice.
