Chapter 38- Kaylanasia

Mitchell kisses my forehead as the first wave is getting ready to go. I hug him tightly, worried, and he smiles, returning it quickly before the last call for everyone on the first wave to go. He sighs. "I'll be fine. You'll be fine. Everything is going to be just fine, all right?"

I nodded, still in tears, smiling and then quickly pull something out of my pocket, putting it around his neck. On the cord was a key with a very small painting of a red rose with light pink tips. My new rose. He kissed my forehead and was gone.

I heard a simpering laugh from behind me. Oh, yeah. Drew was in the second wave. I turned. "Drew," I scowled. "What do you want?!"

"Just telling you, I can make it so he isn't okay," she giggled, "Just a little Charm Speak and-"

From behind me, a definitely Scottish and rushed snap, "You will find yourself tap dancing with a bunch of ducks, do you really want to cross her?!"

I turned. "Thanks, Merida. Aren't you…?"

"Late, yes, gotta go, bye!"

She ran away quickly, following the wave, and I turned, smiling smugly, and Drew scowled. "They can't always be here to protect you."

"I count on that. The real question is, how will anybody stop me then?"

Drew grew ghostly pale, scowling. "Oh, we're not done here, little girl."

I smirked. "Count on it."

With that, I turned on my heel, walking away.
